Abstract

This article presents an innovative methodological approach for the implementation of the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests (VGGT) based on the model 'Working with People' (WWP). This WWPmodel is proposed for the application of the VGGT in Colombia and Guatemala, based on four phases. The results show that the WWPmodel turned out to be a useful tool for implementation of the VGGT. The generation of trust and dialogue through multi-stakeholder platforms proposed a new look on how to resolve the issue of land tenure in areas affected by armed conflicts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Brain research is an area of research characterized by its cutting-edge nature, with brain mapping constituting a crucial aspect of this field. As sequencing tools have played a crucial role in gene sequencing, brain mapping largely depends on automated, high-throughput and high-resolution imaging techniques. Over the years, the demand for high-throughput imaging has scaled exponentially with the rapid development of microscopic brain mapping. In this paper, we introduce the novel concept of confocal Airy beam into oblique light-sheet tomography named CAB-OLST. We demonstrate that this technique enables the high throughput of brain-wide imaging of long-distance axon projection for the entire mouse brain at a resolution of 0.26 μm × 0.26 μm × 1.06 μm in 58 hours. This technique represents an innovative contribution to the field of brain research by setting a new standard for high-throughput imaging techniques.

Abstract

Here we report the generation of a multimodal cell census and atlas of the mammalian primary motor cortex as the initial product of the BRAIN Initiative Cell Census Network (BICCN). This was achieved by coordinated large-scale analyses of single-cell transcriptomes, chromatin accessibility, DNA methylomes, spatially resolved single-cell transcriptomes, morphological and electrophysiological properties and cellular resolution input–output mapping, integrated through cross-modal computational analysis. Our results advance the collective knowledge and understanding of brain cell-type organization1–5. First, our study reveals a unified molecular genetic landscape of cortical cell types that integrates their transcriptome, open chromatin and DNA methylation maps. Second, cross-species analysis achieves a consensus taxonomy of transcriptomic types and their hierarchical organization that is conserved from mouse to marmoset and human. Third, in situ single-cell transcriptomics provides a spatially resolved cell-type atlas of the motor cortex. Fourth, cross-modal analysis provides compelling evidence for the transcriptomic, epigenomic and gene regulatory basis of neuronal phenotypes such as their physiological and anatomical properties, demonstrating the biological validity and genomic underpinning of neuron types. We further present an extensive genetic toolset for targeting glutamatergic neuron types towards linking their molecular and developmental identity to their circuit function. Together, our results establish a unifying and mechanistic framework of neuronal cell-type organization that integrates multi-layered molecular genetic and spatial information with multi-faceted phenotypic properties., The BRAIN Initiative Cell Census Network has constructed a multimodal cell census and atlas of the mammalian primary motor cortex in a landmark effort towards understanding brain cell-type diversity, neural circuit organization and brain function.

We further combine multiple complementary tracing methods (classic tract tracing, cell type-based anterograde, retrograde, and transsynaptic viral tracing, high-throughput BARseq, and complete single cell reconstruction) to systematically chart cell type-based MOp input-output streams. As PNs link distant brain regions at synapses as well as host cellular gene expression, our construction of a PN type resolution MOp-ul wiring diagram will facilitate an integrated analysis of motor control circuitry across the molecular, cellular, and systems levels. Abstract

Esta obra tiene como objetivo brindar un primer acercamiento al lenguaje de la gestión cultural en Latinoamérica. Un intento de poner en palabras, de realizar una reflexión de lo que se hace y se piensa desde diversos luga res de nuestras múltiples y extensas realidades que nos caracterizan. Como tal, estos conceptos que presentamos están abiertos y en movimiento, y a partir de ello se pueden armar y desarmar, construir y deconstruir, diversos enfoques y tendencias que buscan dar sentido a una gestión cultural latinoamericana que se encuentra en la búsqueda de sí misma. En gran parte de la historia de nuestra práctica, hemos recibido las influencias externas de las formas de hacer, pensar y nombrar la acción cultural. Por tal motivo, y como resultado de múltiples procesos de formalización o profesionali-zación, nos vemos en la necesidad de tener claridad de los conceptos y diseñar formas posibles de deslindar campos respecto a las importaciones, en muchos casos mecánicas y fuera de lugar, al mismo tiempo que nos llevan a revisar críticamente la forma en que nos vemos y somos vistos. Los términos aquí expuestos buscan dar sentido a una práctica que se viene realizando desde hace muchos años y que necesita ser pensada. No pretenden ser homogéneos ni hegemónicos, sino contribuir a la reflexión de una gestión cultural que cada vez más se perfila como la posibilidad de constituirse en un referente de la acción cultural en Latinoamérica.

Abstract

Responsible land governance can contribute to achieve social development, decreasing poverty and famine and reach an inclusive economic development. Agroforestry system comprises a wide range of stakeholders and diverse social, political, economic and natural environments. The conflict between some mapuche communities and the Chilean State has been maintained since the XIX century due to how the public and private projects have been managed and to the type of land tenure and governance, cultural recognition, identity and ancestral rights. Currently, the conflict is a matter of political, social and cultural contingency. Using the “Working with people” planning model, this investigation analyse the current governance in the zone and prove that with the consideration of IPMA competences by the stakeholders it is possible to promote a resolution, creating the instances for a responsible land governance. Abstract

The conflict caused by land and the power it represents, is a permanent topic on the debate to achieve peace in Colombia. This is the reason why the Colombian government decided to implement the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure (VGG) supported by Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) and the European Union, throughout the Regional Development Programs and Peace. The present study using the Working With People (WWP) model as an analysis tool, analyses the land governance in the project of concentration and foreignization of the land, carried out by the FAO where the VGG were implemented. All of this framed in the International Competencies of the International Project Management Association (IPMA): technical, contextual and behavioral. The results show that the presence of the competences, leads the project to improve the land governance. Nevertheless, the articulation with the society is still unprecise. Moreover, based on the WWP model, the results could be promising, because the basis of the model generates confidence and strengthens the stakeholders´ competences to resolve conflicts.

La presente monografía busca evaluar la viabilidad económica de mejorar el proceso de extracción de miel de abejas mediante la inversión de tecnología en equipos de proceso de extracción de miel de abejas mediante la inversión de tecnología en equipos de proceso para migrar de los equipos actuados manuales a electrónicos con el fin de disminuir los tiempos de consecución del producto terminado. Para ello es necesario analizar el mercado nacional e internacional de acuerdo a los objetivos de los grandes apicultores , contextualizar al lector en términos del sector apicultor en Colombia, las colmenas y los productos generados por las abejas.
