The future Internet and computer networks scenario requires a dynamic, on-demand, easily manageable, intelligent, and flexible network capable of supporting the different requirements of current and future applications. For attaining this objective, the research community is turning to the networks of the future involving initiatives such as the Next Generation Internet (NGI) in Europe and Tomorrow’s Internet Project in the United States, in addition to several other actions such as the next generation of mobile telecommunications networks for 2030, 6G. In Brazil, projects such as FIBRE [1], FIWARE [2], FUTEBOL [3], 5GINFIRE[2], NECOS [4], CloudNEXT, and SFI2 [5] [6], carried out in collaborations between Europe and Brazil, create conditions to experiment with different scenarios of networks and applications with a focus on the future. This SFI2 Workshop aims to discuss, exchange research ideas and propose directions and solutions toward the utilization of network slicing (NS) as a new paradigm capable to support future Internet evolution. Methods and apparatus for encrypting and storing data. The methods and apparatus provide different levels of security and usability. The methods and apparatus generate two or more keys based on a shared secret made available to a user equipment and a server. The two or more keys comprise at least one perfect forward secrecy key, and at least one limited forward secrecy key. The methods and apparatus encrypt data using at least one of the two or more keys. The methods and apparatus store the encrypted data in a memory of the user equipment and/or transmit the data from the user equipment to the server

Orientador: Eleri Cardozo Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Engenharia Eletrica e de Computação Resumo: Neste trabalho estudamos algoritmos de alocação de rota e comprimento de onda em redes ópticas com multiplexação por divisão de comprimento de onda usando simulação orientada a eventos discretos e modelamento analítico. Algoritmos de roteamento fixo, adaptativo e de caminhos alternativos foram implementados. Foi considerado o efeito da quantidade de comprimentos de onda por fibra óptica, a quantidade de fibras ópticas e o uso de conversores de comprimento de onda no desempenho da rede. A simulação foi escrita na linguagem de programação C++, para fins de eficiência e portabilidade, utilizando orientação a objeto. O modelamento analítico utilizou uma aproximação por redução de carga, supondo que o tráfego oferecido tem distribuição de probabilidade de Poisson e duração exponencial. Os resultados analíticos foram comparados com os resultados de simulação, para roteamento fixo e de caminhos alternativos Abstract: In this work we studied Routing and Wavelength Assignment (RW A) algorithms on Wavelength Division Multiplexing Optical Networks, using discrete event simulation and analytical modeling. Fixed routing, alternate routing and adaptive routing algorithms were implemented. The effect of the number of wavelengths per optical fiber, number of optical fibers and use of wavelength conversion on the performance of the network was considered. The simulation software was written in C++ programming language, using object oriented methodology, in order to achieve efficiency and portability. The analytical modeling used a reduced load approximation with Poisson probability distribution call arrivals and exponential holding times.
