The present research proposes to design and apply a state estimator algorithm in electrical power systems, applying the Weighted Least Squares methodology, through a process called non-linear hybrid estimator, the same one that uses measurements from PMUs and conventional measurements. in addition, to find the optimal PMU locations respecting the observability and redundancy restrictions for the Electric Power Systems, through mixed integer linear programming, considering the N-1 contingencies in the SEP. The proposed state estimator is adjusted to the measurements obtained, in the presence of contingencies in the SEP. The simulations obtained as a result of the implementation of the hybrid state estimator show that the proposal improves the precision of the estimator and the speed of convergence, considering the minimum error of system measurements and the number of PMUs placed in the Power System, after a contingency occurs, which may be the departure of a PMU or the loss of one of the transmission lines of the SEP.

This research focuses on optimal post-intentional attack operation considering switching transmission systems. The applicable models for this process focus on the application of bi-level optimization methods that are capable of analyzing two possible scenarios in order to reduce the time of loss or departure from the demand of the electricity system. The main objective of this work is related to maintaining the minimum requirements that allow the operation of the Electric Power System, for this the approach of equations will be carried out that allows establishing the mathematical models in the event of intentional attacks, it must maintain the operation of the Electric System and react in the event of contingencies through the Optimal Switching of Transmission Lines. La presente investigación está enfocada en la operación óptima posterior a ataques intencionales considerando conmutación de los sistemas de transmisión. Los modelos aplicables para este proceso se enfocan en la aplicación de métodos de optimización binivel que son capaces de analizar dos posibles escenarios con el fin de disminuir el tiempo de pérdida o salida de la demanda del sistema eléctrico. El principal objetivo de este trabajo está relacionado en mantener los requerimientos mínimos que permitan la operación del Sistema Eléctrico de Potencia para esto se realizará el planteamiento de ecuaciones que permita establecer los modelos matemáticos ante ataques intencionales el mismo deberá mantener el funcionamiento del Sistema Eléctrico y reaccionar ante contingencias a través de la Conmutación Óptima de Líneas de Transmisión.

It is important that Ecuador carries out a diagnosis of its renewable energy potential; therefore, the following study was executed with data obtained from meteorological stations and with the help of software developed by the National Laboratory for Renewable Energy, Model System Advisor (SAM ), where high enthalpy systems with parabolic collectors were designed in various areas of the upper basin of the Pastaza River, based on its solar energy potential and available area, to ge- nerate electrical energy and to predict possible locations for solar thermal power plants that do not cause a negative impact on the environment. Selected places are close to main roads, water sources, the national interconnected electric network and there is no human intervention, these favorable conditions are found in Tunshi, Escuela Superior Politecnica de Chimborazo (ESPOCH), Chinga- zo, South of Chimborazo and North of Chimborazo areas. Areas with the highest energy produc- tion on average, were South of Chimborazo and North of Chimborazo and finally the financial analysis show a 20-year investment recovery with the current electric energy price established by Ecuador, at which the investment debt would be paid, therefore the project is feasible and will ge- nerate a positive impact in the country Es importante que Ecuador realice diagnósticos del potencial energético renovable que posee, por lo que el presente trabajo se realizó con datos obtenidos de estaciones meteorológicas y con ayuda del software desarrollado por la National Renewable Energy Laboratory, denominado Modelo de Asesor del Sistema (SAM), en el se diseñó sistemas de alta entalpia con colectores parabólicos en varias zonas de la cuenca alta del río Pastaza, para la generación de energía eléctrica, basándose en el potencial energético solar y al área disponible, para poder predecir lugares de posible emplazamiento de centrales termosolares que no cause impacto negativo al ambiente. Los lugares escogidos se encuentran cercanos a vías principales, afluentes de agua, a la red interconectada nacional y no existe intervención del hombre, estas condiciones favorables tienen las zonas de Tunshi, ESPOCH, Chingazo, Chimborazo Sur y Chimborazo Norte. Las zonas que generan mayor energía eléctrica en promedio, fueron Chimborazo Sur y Chimborazo Norte y por último el análisis financiero nos proporciona una recuperación de inversión a 20 años con el precio de generación de energía eléctrica actual establecido por Ecuador, que se pagaría la deuda de inversión, por tanto el proyecto es viable y generará un impacto positivo en el país

[SPA] La Comunidad Autónoma de la Región de Murcia (CARM) dispone de su propia red de radiocomunicaciones móviles de emergencia, denominada Red RADIECARM (abreviatura de RAdiocomunicaciones DIgitales de Emergencias de la Comunidad Autónoma de la Región de Murcia), destinada a satisfacer las necesidades de los servicios de emergencias implantados en su ámbito territorial. Al igual que ocurre con la mayor parte de las redes de emergencia existentes en Europa, la Red RADIECARM está diseñada específicamente para garantizar las comunicaciones frente a situaciones de misión crítica y está basada en la tecnología digital de banda estrecha TETRA, que proporciona una buena comunicación de voz y servicios de datos de baja velocidad. Teniendo en cuenta las crecientes necesidades de comunicación de los servicios de emergencias en los próximos años, una de las claves más importantes de las redes de emergencia es cómo pueden evolucionar para incorporar el servicio de banda ancha móvil, ya ampliamente extendido en las redes móviles públicas. La tesis aquí propuesta plantea cómo puede evolucionar la Red RADIECARM de modo que pueda soportar las cada vez mayores velocidades de transmisión de datos requeridas por los usuarios en los próximos años. Para ello, se realiza, en primer lugar, un estudio de necesidades para determinar la situación de partida y los requisitos de los usuarios. A continuación, se analizan las posibles soluciones de red, seleccionando aquella que se considera más apropiada. Por último, se planifica el desarrollo de la solución seleccionada, que incluye la arquitectura de red y un estudio de cobertura radioeléctrica. Los resultados muestran que LTE (y su evolución) es la solución tecnológica más adecuada para satisfacer las futuras necesidades de comunicación de banda ancha de los usuarios de la Red RADIECARM, aunque la red TETRA actual deberá mantenerse en funcionamiento el tiempo necesario para llevar a cabo tanto el despliegue del futuro sistema LTE como la migración completa de TETRA a LTE (al menos hasta el año 2025). Por tanto, la evolución prevista de la red RADIECARM está basada en un modelo de implementación híbrido TETRA-LTE. Además, el análisis llevado a cabo en esta tesis indica que, en la Región de Murcia, para macroceldas ubicadas en entorno rural, el número de emplazamientos LTE necesarios es un factor de 2.4 más que para la red TETRA, si se desea mantener la misma calidad de servicio (90% de cobertura para toda la región y 85% para términos municipales). As with most existing emergency networks in Europe, the RADIECARM network is specifically designed to guarantee communications against mission critical situations and is based on TETRA digital narrow-band technology, which provides good communication of voice and low speed data services. Taking into account the growing communication needs of emergency services in the coming years, one of the most important keys of emergency networks is how they can evolve to incorporate the mobile broadband service, already widespread in public mobile networks. The thesis hereby presented analyzes how the RADIECARM network can evolve so that it can support the increasing data transmission speeds required by users in the coming years. To this end, a needs assessment is carried out in order to determine the starting situation and the requirements of the users. Next, the possible network solutions are properly analyzed, selecting the one that is considered most appropriate. Finally, the development of the selected solution is planned, which includes the network architecture and a radio planning analysis. The results show that LTE (and its evolution) is the most appropriate technological solution to satisfy the future broadband communication needs of the RADIECARM network users, although the current TETRA network should remain in operation the time necessary to carry out both the deployment of the future LTE system and the complete migration from TETRA to LTE (at least until the year 2025). Therefore, the expected evolution of the RADIECARM network is based on a TETRA-LTE hybrid implementation model. In addition, the análisis carried out in this thesis indicates that, in the Region of Murcia, for macrocells located in rural areas, the number of LTE sites required is a factor of 2.4 more than for the TETRA network, if it is desired to maintain the same quality of service (90% coverage for the entire region and 85% for municipal terms).
