We assessed negative bias in Colombian young offenders towards affective deviants (those who violate emotional norms). Postulating that affective deviants elicit an “uncanny/creepy” feeling resembling that produced by psychopaths, we explored social judgments of affective deviants in individuals with callous-unemotional (CU) traits. 188 young offenders evaluated a target displaying congruent or incongruent affective displays in response to pictures eliciting positive/negative affect, depending on the condition. Affective deviants were rated as creepier and less trustworthy, and more likely to have bad moral character, than targets who displayed normative affect. Further, affective deviants who displayed positive affect in response to negative stimuli were rated as having worse moral character than those who displayed negative affect in response to positive stimuli. CU traits predicted lower trustworthiness judgments of targets in congruent conditions, but higher trustworthiness judgments of targets in incongruent conditions. CU traits also predicted higher desired social distance and creepiness judgments in congruent conditions. Creepiness ratings correlated with judgments of bad moral character, suggesting that this emotional response may be involved in moral evaluations of strangers. These findings indicate that deviant affective displays produce a variety of negative social judgments, with CU traits playing a role in these social cognitive heuristics.

El templo analizado pertenece al tipo Gótico-Mudéjar sevillano pero sucesivas reformas en los siglos XVIII y XIX han alterado sustancialmente su configuración. Mediante la herramienta informática CATT-Acoustic se ha realizado una simulación-predicción del campo sonoro de este espacio eclesial. El modelo se ha calibrado, usando un procedimiento iterativo, de modo que los tiempos de reverberación simulados no difieran de los medidos en más de un 5%. Los resultados de los parámetros descriptores de la calidad acústica, tanto para la inteligibilidad de la palabra como para la audición musical, se han contrastado, tanto en su comportamiento espectral como su distribución espacial, con los resultados experimentales obtenidos mediante la técnica de señales de secuencias de máxima longitud (MLS). Finalmente se han recreado las modificaciones del campo sonoro debido a la presencia de público y a una intervención de re-habilitación consistente en cambiar el acabado de ciertas paredes de la iglesia con objeto de mejorar su comportamiento acústico, The church belongs to the Sevillian Mudejar-Gothic typology although several restorations car-ried out in the XVIII and XIX centuries have substantially altered its configuration. By means of CATT-Acoustic software, a prediction-simulation of the acoustic field has been undertaken in this worship place. The results of the simulated acoustic descriptors of acoustic quality, both to qualify the speech intelligibility and the musical perception, have been compared with the real experimental parameters in terms of their spec-tral behaviour and spatial distribution, in which experimental measures have been obtained by maximum-length-sequence signals (MLS).
