Background Chronic kidney disease has become a major global concern, and the prevalence of kidney disease in China is the highest in the world. About 89.5% of patients require hemodialysis. In recent years, the prevalence of frailty in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients has risen significantly, seriously affecting the quality of life and prognosis of patients. Objective To explore the prevalence of frailty and the influencing factors of maintenance hemodialysis patients in China through Meta-analysis. Methods Cross-sectional and cohort studies on the prevalence and influencing factors of frailty in Chinese MHD patients were systematically searched in CNKI, VIP, CBM, Wanfang Data, Web of Science, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, and CINAHL databases. The search deadline was from the respective databases to July 2023. Literature screening, data extraction and quality assessment were performed independently by two researchers. Stata 15.0 was used for meta-analysis. Results Thirty-two papers were included, and including 6 746 patients, among which 2 566 experienced frailty, involving 37 influencing factors. Meta-analysis showed that the prevalence of frailty in MHD patients in China was 37.4% (95%CI=30.3%-44.5%). Background With the rapid development of economy and society in China, the living standards and health care awareness have been improved significantly, the average life expectancy of our population is gradually prolonged, causing increasing population of perimenopausal women, therefore, the health management of perimenopausal women has become more important. Perimenopausal syndrome can be seen in women aged 40-65 years, which can seriously affect the physical and mental health and quality of life of patients. Objective To systematically review the incidence of perimenopausal syndrome in Chinese women aged 40-65 years. Methods PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, CNKI, Wanfang Data, CBM and VIP were searched by computer to collect cross-sectional studies on the occurrence of perimenopausal syndrome in Chinese women aged 40-65 years from inception to February 1, 2023. Two investigators independently screened the literature, extracted data and evaluated the quality of included literature. Meta-analysis was performed using Stata 17.0 software. Results A total of 62 cross-sectional studies were included, with a total sample size of 82 340 cases. Meta-analysis showed that the incidence of perimenopausal syndrome in Chinese women aged 40-65 years was 61.0%. The results of subgroup analysis showed that the incidence of perimenopausal syndrome in women aged 40-45 years, >45-50 years, >50-55 years, >55-60 years and >60 years was 42.6%, 53.8%, 64.6%, 59.7% and 56.1%, respectively. The incidence of perimenopausal syndrome in women aged 40-65 years with normal, disordered and postmenopausal menstrual status was 43.6%, 56.9% and 61.3%, respectively. The incidence of perimenopausal syndrome in women aged 40-65 years with and without chronic diseases was 85.9% and 68.3%, respectively. The incidence of perimenopausal syndrome was highest in women aged 40-65 years in Southwest China at 71.3%, and at 57.4%, 57.9%, 50.5%, 59.2%, 69.5%, and 68.6% in North, East, South, Northwest, Northeast, and Central China, respectively. The incidence of perimenopausal syndrome in women aged 40-65 years with education level of junior high school and below, high school or technical secondary school, university and above was 54.1%, 55.7% and 49.6%, respectively. The incidence of perimenopausal syndrome in Han Chinese and ethnic minority women aged 40-65 years was 62.1% and 64.7%, respectively. Conclusion The incidence of perimenopausal syndrome is high in women aged 40 to 65 years in China. Among them, women aged >50-55 years, menopausal, suffering from chronic diseases, living in southwest region, with education level of high school or below, and ethnic minorities are at high risk of perimenopausal syndrome. We should pay attention to the prevention, screening and intervention of perimenopausal syndrome in relevant population to lay the foundation of elderly health in women.

A wind turbine located in Yunnan is taken as an example in this paper. By using the analytical method and the finite element method, the modal analysis of wind turbine tower is carried out, then the structural dynamic behavior is obtained. Based on the comparison of the results from different calculation methods, the rigidity and the resonance of tower induced by wind wheel rotation are studied. The research shows that, the finite element model is simplified, while the results of this method are rich; the transient resonance inevitably appears for two times in the starting process for the flexible wind tower which has the structure of symmetry basically; while in the normal operation stage, the wind wheel would not induce the resonance for flexible tower. Bri1-EMS Suppressor 1 (BES1) and Brassinazole Resistant 1 (BZR1) are two key transcription factors in the brassinosteroid (BR) signaling pathway, serving as crucial integrators that connect various signaling pathways in plants. Extensive genetic and biochemical studies have revealed that BES1 and BZR1, along with other protein factors, form a complex interaction network that governs plant growth, development, and stress tolerance. Among the interactome of BES1 and BZR1, several proteins involved in posttranslational modifications play a key role in modifying the stability, abundance, and transcriptional activity of BES1 and BZR1. This review specifically focuses on the functions and regulatory mechanisms of BES1 and BZR1 protein interactors that are not involved in the posttranslational modifications but are crucial in specific growth and development stages and stress responses. By highlighting the significance of the BZR1 and BES1 interactome, this review sheds light on how it optimizes plant growth, development, and stress responses.

Bone tissue engineering scaffolds loading growth factors have been considered as the most perspective among all bone substitutes, yet little progress of its clinical translation has been made. The concept of "micro-scaffolds" was proposed in this study to provide a trajectory to the clinical translation of porous scaffolds. Combining CPC and rhBMP-2, a pre-cured CPC/rhBMP-2 micro-scaffold has been successfully developed and further applied as an easy-to-operate filler for bone regeneration in a pilot clinical study. The results demonstrated superior overall performances of CPC/rhBMP-2 microffolds to traditional therapies, with not only shortened repairing time and improved repairing qualities, but also the potential in treating fractures that are most challenging for current therapies. This pilot clinical study of CPC/rhBMP-2 microffolds further promoted the clinical translation of porous scaffolds for bone regeneration, and provided new insights for future development of artificial bone substitutes.

Objective: To study in vitro sustained release behaviour of the recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2 (rhBMP-2) from the sample which porous calcium phosphate cement (PCPC) was combined with rhBMP-2, and to evaluate the effect of PCPC/rhBMP-2 composite on repairing bone defect in the animal study., Methods: rhBMP-2 was absorbed into PCPC by vacuum-adsorption and freeze-dried at -40 degrees C, the PCPC/rhBMP-2 enwrapped with chitosan as the experimental group, the pure PCPC/rhBMP-2 as the control group, then the sustained release of rhBMP-2 from PCPC was determined in simulated body fluid (SBF) by UV-VIS spectrophotometer. At same time, the PCPC/rhBMP-2 composites with chitosan were implanted into the (4.2 mm x 5.0 mm femora defects of rabbits, which were considered as the experimental group, whereas in the control group only PCPC was implanted. The effect of repairing bone defect was evaluated in the 4th and 8th week postoperatively by radiograph and histomorphology., Results: The PCPC have a high absorption efficiency to rhBMP-2, and the release of rhBMP-2 was sustained release system. The release of rhBMP-2 from PCPC in the experimental group (99% after 350 hours) was slower than that in the control group (100% after 150 hours). In the experimental group, the radiological and histomorphological evaluations showed that the interfaces between the materials and host bones became blurred both at 4th and 8th week. The implanted materials were partially absorbed, and the implanted areas exhibited the formation of new bone. In the control group, a little amount of new bones was observed., Conclusion: The PCPC shows great clinical potential as a carrier for rhBMP-2. The PCPC/rhBMP-2 composite possesses much potentialities of osteoinductivity and the ability of repairing bone defect, so it can be used as a novel bone substitute clinically.
