Abstract

With the development of smart grid, the operation and control of power system is realized through power communication network, especially the power production and enterprise management business involve a large amount of sensitive information, and the requirements for data security and real-time transmission are gradually improved. In this paper, a new 9D complex chaotic system with quaternion is proposed for the encryption of smart grid data. Firstly, a new 9D complex chaotic system with quaternion is proposed, and its attractors, bifurcation diagram, complexity, and 0-1 test are analyzed. Secondly, the pseudo-random sequences are generated by the new chaotic system to encrypt power data. Finally, the proposed encryption algorithm is verifed with power data and images in the smart grid, which can ensure the encryption security and real-time. The verifcation results show that the proposed encryption scheme is technically feasible and available for power data and image encryption in smart grid., Comment: Accepted by Chinese Physics B

Abstract

In this study, we propose a novel two-dimensional (2D) lag-complex Logistic map (LCLM). The 2D-LCLM is derived from the conventional 2D Logistic map by extending its variables from real numbers to complex field. The bifurcation diagrams, Lyapunov exponents, and the evolution of chaotic attractors have been exploited for evaluating the chaotic behavior. Results show that the 2D-LCLM has extensive chaotic intervals, good ergodicity, and unpredictable trajectories. For further studying its practical significance, we then construct a color image cryptosystem based on 2D-LCLM. Bit-level permutation and one-time keys are used for speeding up the computational speed and defending chosen plain attacks. Simulation results and corresponding analysis reveal that the cryptosystem has large keyspace and good key sensitivity, and its information entropy approaches to the idea value. Hence the cryptosystem based on 2D-LCLM can strongly resist traditional cipher attacks.
