2. Sludge adaptability during start-up of anaerobic reactor for leachate from garbage power plant

Abstract

Suitable anaerobic sludge can effectively shorten the start-up time of anaerobic reactors. To reveal the adaptability of different sources of anaerobic sludge to leachate from garbage power plants, the treatment performance of five types of anaerobic sludge on leachate from two different sources was investigated through intermittent cultivation. Illumina Miseq sequencing was used to reveal the main functional variability of different anaerobic sludge from the perspective of sludge community composition. The results showed that for leachate with COD up to 30 000 mg/L, inoculation with anaerobic sludge from a paper mill (ZZC sludge) resulted in a COD removal rate of 72.3% within 36 hours, and the sludge load (COD load of per unit MLVSS) reached 10.2 kg/(kg·d). For the leachate with a COD of 25 000 mg/L, the COD removal rate of ZZC sludge reached 75.8% after 36 hours, and the sludge load reached 10.1 kg/(kg·d). When the COD was 30 000 mg/L, ZZC sludge had better treatment effect on both eastern(DB) and southern(NB) plant leachate, NJG sludge (from agricultural processing plant) had the best treatment effect on DB plant leachate, and YZC sludge (from aquaculture wastewater treatment plant) had the best treatment effect on NB plant leachate. The rapid start-up of anaerobic reactors in two plant areas using ZZC sludge could effectively improve the methane production of anaerobic reactors.

35. A Novel Discrete EMN for Electromagnetic Force and Vibration Computation of SPM Machine Considering Carrier Harmonics

Abstract

This article proposes a discrete equivalent magnetic network (EMN) for electromagnetic force and vibration computation of surface-mounted permanent magnet (SPM) machines considering carrier harmonics. First, a new triangle permeance element is proposed and adopted for air-gap meshing of a 12-slot/10-pole SPM machine. Second, the discrete modeling method is applied in the rotor with eccentric magnets of the machine. The proposed method can decouple the relationship between the number of permeances and the transient solution step size in the interface region. Third, this method uses the current dataset involving carrier harmonics as input excitation to calculate the electromagnetic force. Then, the vibration response is synthesized by electromagnetic force and vibration transfer function. Finally, the computation accuracy and efficiency of this method are validated through the finite element method and experimental test.

The identification of GC subtypes based on molecular features improved the prediction of prognosis and the selection of targeted therapies. PTEN is a characteristic tumor suppressor, while its association with different GC subtypes was unknown.Patients and Methods: The cohort consisted of 248 patients diagnosed with gastric cancer who were hospitalized and received radical gastrectomy. In addition, PTEN gene expression matrix of STAD was retrieved from TCGA. The mRNA and protein levels of PTEN and PD-L1 were detected using qRT-PCR and IHC staining. Multivariate logistic regression and Kaplan–Meier analysis were used to examine the relationship between PTEN expression and clinical characteristics.Results: In our study, PTEN was downregulated in gastric tumors both in mRNA and protein levels. Its inactivation was closely linked to higher histological grade (P = 0.005), neural invasion (P = 0.012), depth of invasion (P = 0.021), lymph metastasis (P = 0.026), and TNM stage (P = 0.001) of GC in the present study.
