The preparation of TC4/7075 composites for ultra-thin flyer plates is a significant challenge in the field of explosive welding. A weldability window for multi-layer metal explosive welding and a configuration for ultra-thin flyer plate explosive welding were established in this study. TC4/7075 composite materials were successfully prepared with a flyer plate thickness of only 0.3 mm. An analysis was conducted on the material bonding ability, element diffusion, crystal evolution, and microscopic morphology during the explosive welding process of TC4/7075, utilizing the weldability window, molecular dynamics algorithm, and electron backscattered diffraction testing. The results show that various dislocations are present at the interface, predominantly 1/6 ⟨112⟩ dislocations. Element diffusion primarily occurs during the unloading stage at high temperature and zero external pressure; the interface has the best bonding ability when titanium exhibits FCC lattice structure. The prepared composite material demonstrates high intra-grain and grain boundary stresses; the rolling texture is observed on the aluminum side while an equiaxed twin structure forms on the titanium side due to interactions between stacking faults, Stair-rod dislocations, and Hirth immovable dislocations. The precise measurement of temperature is crucial in various fields such as biology, medicine, industrial automation, energy management, and daily life applications. While in most scenarios, sensors with a fixed thermal conductivity inevitably mismatch the analogous parameter of the medium being measured, thus causing the distortion and inaccurate detection of original temperature fields. Despite recent efforts on addressing the parameter-mismatch issue, all current solutions are constrained to a fixed working medium, whereas a more universal sensor should function in a variety of scenes. Here, we report a dynamic and reconfigurable thermal sensor capable of highly accurate measurements in diverse working environments. Remarkably, thanks to the highly tunable thermal conductivity of the expanded-plane structure, this sensor works effectively on background mediums with a wide range of conductivity. Alloying CdTe absorbers with Se is a critical advancement for the fabrication of highly efficient CdTe thin-film solar cells. Herein, the role of the Se concentration gradient in CdSexTe1−x/CdTe solar cells is stressed in addition to the decreased bandgap and passivation effect of Se. The buried graded CdSexTe1−x at the front interface of the device was stripped and analyzed by quasi in situ x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy depth profiling. A serial shift of Fermi level toward the valence band was probed as the Se concentration decreased in the graded CdSexTe1−x absorber, revealing the presence of n-type CdSexTe1−x region near the front contact. Kelvin probe force microscopy characterizations and voltage-dependent photocurrent collection analysis further confirmed the existence of a buried junction in the graded CdSexTe1−x absorber. The CdS-free CdTe solar cell with a graded CdSexTe1−x/CdTe absorber fabricated in this study showed an efficiency of 17.6%. These results indicated that the non-uniform distribution of Se introduced a built-in field in the graded CdSexTe1−x absorber and enabled efficient separation of photogenerated carriers, yielding high-performance CdTe solar cells in the absence of a conventional n-type CdS window layer. In this work, charge photogeneration and recombination processes of PM6:IDIC-4F and PM6:IDIC blend films were investigated by the steady-state and time-resolved spectroscopies, as well as the time-dependent density functional theory calculations. The peaks in absorption and photoluminescence (PL) spectra of IDIC and IDIC-4F solutions were assigned by combining the experiment and the simulation of UV–vis absorption and PL spectra. For neat acceptor films, the exciton diffusion length of neat IDIC and IDIC-4F films was estimated as ∼28.9 and ∼19.9 nm, respectively. For PM6-based blend films, we find that the fluorine substitution engineering on the IDIC acceptor material can increase the phase separate size of acceptor material in blend films, resulting in the reduction of dissociation efficiencies of acceptor excitons. In addition, we find that the charge recombination in PM6:IDIC-4F is dominated by bimolecular recombination, in comparison to geminate type carrier recombination in PM6:IDIC blend films. In addition, we find that thermal annealing treatment has a weak influence on carrier recombination but slightly reduces the exciton dissociation efficiency of acceptor in PM6:IDIC blend films, leading to a slightly reduced power conversion efficiency of PM6:IDIC solar cells. Purcell filters, which serve to suppress electromagnetic radiation and enhance the readout efficiency of qubit, are an indispensable component in superconducting quantum chips. With the increasing scale of quantum chips, the requirements for the performance and scalability of Purcell filters are becoming more stringent. In this report, a novel four-stage Purcell filter that enables fast measurement without exacerbating environmental damping of the qubits is presented. The design approach of the filter is derived from the serial and parallel configurations of λ/4 resonant cavities. The filter exhibits exceptional passband-to-stopband isolation, reaching up to 40 dB of isolation within the transition range of 400 MHz. Furthermore, the filter boasts a wide bandwidth for both the stopband and the passband, with the stopband ranging from 4 to 5.5 GHz and the passband extending from 5.8 to 6.5 GHz. In terms of spatial arrangement, each filter can be connected to over ten readout resonators for qubit readout. Efficient absorption of solar radiation holds the key to photothermal utilization; however, realizing solar absorber designs with high absorption efficiency remains challenging. Herein, a nickel-based metamaterial selective solar absorber with a nanopillar array structure was proposed to realize nearly perfect optical absorption over a broad spectrum. The average absorbance is up to 96% in the 300–2033 nm wavelength range. Notably, a reasonably detailed analysis of the physical mechanism of the proposed absorber was performed in this paper, attributing the exceptional broadband absorption to the concurrent interaction with surface plasmon resonance, quarter-wavelength resonance, and electric dipole resonance. The absorption efficiency declines significantly when λ > 2.5 μm, with only 20% absorptivity at λ = 6 μm in the radiation-absorbing transition region. This decline is desirable, as it contributes to reducing the emissivity in the mid-infrared range and, therefore, prevents self-radiation. The results demonstrate that the selective absorber possesses the potential to capture solar energy within a broadband, while avoiding undesirable self-radiation, thereby enhancing the integral efficiency of the solar energy conversion system. Moreover, the absorption spectrum shows insensitivity to polarization and angle of incidence. Harnessing the boundless solar energy, photovoltaic cells emerge as pivotal players in the world's sustainable energy landscape. The efficiency of solar cells is intimately tied to the carrier properties influenced by defects and impurities within the sunlight-absorbing semiconductors. In this Perspective, we offer a brief overview of recent advances in exploring doping properties with a focus on three vital thin-film photovoltaic semiconductors: CdTe, CIGS, and halide perovskites. Our discourse encompasses their electronic band structure, intrinsic and extrinsic doping behaviors, defect-assisted nonradiative recombination losses, as well as promising strategies poised to enhance solar cell efficiency. Machine learning (ML) is effective to establish the complicated trilateral relationship among structures, properties, and photovoltaic performance, which is fundamental issue in developing novel materials for improving power conversion efficiency (PCE) of organic solar cells (OSCs). Herein, we constructed the database of 397 donor–acceptor pairs of OSCs with photovoltaic parameters and descriptor sets, which include donor–acceptor weight ratio within the active layer of the OSCs, root mean square of roughness, and 1024-bit Morgan molecular fingerprint for donor (Fp-D) and acceptor (Fp-A). The ML models random forest (RF), adaptive boosting (AdaBoost), extra trees regression, and gradient boosting regression trees were trained based on the descriptor set. The metrics determination coefficient (R2), Pearson correlation coefficient (r), root mean square error, and mean absolute error were selected to evaluate ML model performances. The results showed that the RF model exhibits the highest accuracy and stability for PCE prediction among these four ML models. Moreover, based on the decomposition of non-fullerene acceptors L8-BO, BTP-ec9, AQx-2, and IEICO, 20 acceptor molecules with symmetric A–D–A and A–π–D–π–A architectures were designed. The photovoltaic parameters of the designed acceptors were predicted using the trained RF model, and the virtual screening of designed acceptors was conducted based on the predicted PCE. The results indicate that six designed acceptors can reach the predicted PCE higher than 12% when P3HT was adopted as a donor. Concurrent extreme weather events in geographically distant areas potentially cause high-end risks for societies. By using network analysis, the present study managed to identify significant nearly-simultaneous occurrences of heatwaves between the grid cells in East Asia and Eastern Europe, even though they are geographically far away from each other. By further composite analysis, this study revealed that hot events first occurred in Eastern Europe, typically with a time lag of 3-4 days before the East Asian heatwave events. An eastward propagating atmospheric wave train, known as the circumglobal teleconnection (CGT) pattern, bridged the sequent occurrences of extreme events in these two remote regions. Atmospheric blockings, amplified by surface warming over Eastern Europe, not only enhanced local heat extremes but also excited a CGT-like pattern characterized by alternative anomalies of high and low pressures. Subsequent downstream anticyclones in the middle and upper troposphere reduced local cloud cover and increased downward solar radiation, thereby facilitating the formation of heatwaves over East Asia. Nearly half of East Asian heatwave events were preceded by Eastern European heatwave events in the 10-day time range before East Asian heatwave events. Satellite navigation positioning has become an indispensable component of everyday life, where precise pinpointing and rapid convergence are crucial in delivering timely and accurate location information. However, due to the damping of integer ambiguities and system residual errors, the rapid convergence of Precise Point Positioning (PPP) implementation is a significant challenge. To address this, this paper proposes a novel Carrier Phase Zero-Baseline Self-Differencing Precise Point Positioning (CZS-PPP) technique and its ionosphere-free fusion model. By employing the proposed CZS-PPP approach in separate scenarios involving BDS-3, GPS, and dual-system settings, we systematically validate the efficacy of the method. The experimental results indicate that the convergence time of the method is less than 4 min in a single-system scenario. Furthermore, in a dual-system scenario, the method can achieve rapid convergence in less than 3 min. The CZS-PPP technique presented demonstrates the elimination of integer ambiguities and the effective suppression of system residuals, in comparison to the conventional method. Current diagnostic technique in direct identification of multi‐site plaques and simultaneous assessment of plaque vulnerability remains a challenge, which is crucial for indicating the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases (ASCVD). Herein, an osteopontin (OPN)‐specific nanoprobe (OPN Ab‐Au/FeNiPO4@ICG) with both multiple spectra optoacoustic tomography (MSOT) and computed tomography (CT) imaging, is constructed successfully realizing systemic screening of vulnerable plaque. OPN Ab‐Au/FeNiPO4@ICG nanoprobe specifically targeted OPN‐overexpressed foam cells and recognized the vulnerable plaque at the molecular level. In AS mice, CT imaging exhibits that OPN Ab‐Au/FeNiPO4@ICG nanoprobe effectively avoid interference from calcification and accurately visualized AS plaque. MSOT functional imaging results reveals that after the injection of OPN Ab‐Au/FeNiPO4@ICG nanoprobe, the carotid plaque exhibited a much higher MSOT signal than the aortic arch plaque (P = 0.0291). Further pathological analysis displays that the carotid plaque possessed a much higher vulnerability score (P = 0.0247), in agreement with the MSOT signals. More importantly, the linear regression analysis confirms the high correlation between the MSOT signals and plaque vulnerability with R = 0.7095 (P = 0.0216), demonstrating the potential of the proposed nanoprobe in systematic evaluation of plaque vulnerability. Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) suffer from the presence of non‐active and metastable species on the surface of solution‐processed perovskite films, and their adverse effects on charge extraction and long‐term stability cannot be fully addressed by conventional surface passivation strategies. In this study, a novel concept is proposed to achieve both precise removal of surface impurities and effective passivation of sub‐surface defects in a single step, utilizing a functional polymer‐based cleaning strategy. The moderate intermolecular force provided by the functional polymer and their inherent robust interchain interactions enable effective surface cleaning without disturbing the active crystal lattice. Following surface cleaning, the electron‐donating groups (C═O) in the polymer passivate the uncoordinated Pb2+ defects at the sub‐surface level. This synergistic effect of surface cleaning and sub‐surface defect passivation leads to a drastic reduction in interfacial non‐radiative recombination, elimination of ion migration pathways, and prevention of triggers for photodegradation. As a result, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) significantly improved from 22.84% to 25.51%, accompanied by a remarkable enhancement in operational stability. Background: Scoliosis is one of the most common surgical disorders of the pediatric spine. Refractive errors are commonly associated with vision impairment worldwide. However, it is currently unclear whether refractive error correlates directly with the development of scoliosis. Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed in 2023, and a stratified cluster sampling technique was employed among school-aged students in Nantong City, China. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to investigate specific correlations between scoliosis and related parameters; various types of refractive errors were also included in the study. Results: The prevalence of scoliosis among school-aged students was 2.2% in Nantong city. Multiple logistic regression analyses showed that myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and anisometropia were not correlated with the development of scoliosis (all, p≥0.05). Lower body mass index (BMI) [adjusted odds ratio (aOR) = 0.92; 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.88−0.95; p<0.001], living in rural areas (aOR = 1.40; 95% CI: 1.05−1.86; p = 0.020), and older age (aOR = 1.32; 95% CI: 1.25−1.38; p<0.001) had significantly higher risks of scoliosis. Conclusions: Refractive errors did not correlate with the development of scoliosis. However, BMI, living in rural areas and older age did correlate with the development of scoliosis. In this study, the dynamic behavior of shear-thinning droplets impacting on a hydrophobic spherical surface is numerically investigated using the volume of fluid method coupled with dynamic contact angle and a power-law model. The differences in dynamic behaviors between shear-thinning and Newtonian droplets are first studied. By analyzing the distribution of pressure and shear rate inside the droplet, it is found that the shear-thinning behavior of the droplets leads to an uneven distribution of apparent viscosity upon impact, which in turn prevents droplet rebound. The effects of various impacting conditions, such as apparent viscosity, impact velocity, surface tension and dynamic contact angle, on the spreading factor and liquid film thickness of shear-thinning droplets are investigated. According to the behaviors of droplets, the impacting process can be divided into three phases: (I) initial deformation, (II) inertia-dominated, and (III) viscosity-dominated phases. In order to reveal the physical mechanisms that prevent shear-thinning droplets from rebounding on the hydrophobic particle surface, the conversion of kinetic energy, viscous dissipation, surface energy, and potential energy during the three phases of the impact process is also analyzed in detail. This article reports on an advanced level physical laboratory experiment designed for college level undergraduate education and for scholars who need specialized training on using and interpreting Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy. The technical principle, experimental operation and sample preparation of Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy are introduced in detail. A presentation and discussion of the use of Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy in the traceability of four common samples is emphasized. Combining Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy with Machine Learning, two distinct datasets are constructed through the extraction of spectral features. Dimensionality reduction of spectral data is performed using Linear Discriminant Analysis, while the Random Forest model is employed for provenance classification. Finally, the interpretability of the Random Forest model is leveraged to explore the contributions of different spectral elements to provenance tracing. Results demonstrated the system's effectiveness in not only accurately identifying ash types but also in elucidating the influential chemical components, offering significant implications for material analysis and environmental monitoring. On an educational standpoint, this paper will allow any reader, in particular, undergraduate and graduate students, to gain a better understanding of the theory and practice of Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy and machine learning. Malignant mesothelioma, a rare and aggressive cancer primarily caused by occupational asbestos exposure, has a poor prognosis. This study leverages the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2019 dataset to analyze the burden of mesothelioma linked to occupational asbestos exposure from 1990 to 2019. The analysis includes the number of mesothelioma deaths and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) attributable to occupational asbestos exposure, focusing on trends in age-standardized mortality rate (ASMR) and age-standardized disability-adjusted life-year rate (ASDR) by year, age, sex, country, region, and Socio-demographic Index (SDI). In 2019, 91.7% of mesothelioma deaths and 85.2% of DALYs were attributable to occupational asbestos exposure, resulting in 26,820 (95% UI 24,312–28,622) deaths and 569,429 (95% UI 509,956–617,484) DALYs. Despite a decline in ASMR and ASDR from 1990 to 2019, the absolute number of deaths and DALYs almost doubled. The United States reported the highest number of mesothelioma deaths, while China had the highest number of DALYs. Age-specific mortality rates and DALYs decreased in the 25–74 age group but increased in the 75+ age group. In conclusion, occupational asbestos exposure remains the primary cause of mesothelioma worldwide, with an increasing number of deaths and DALYs. The highest incidence rates are observed in high-income areas, and rates are rising in low-income areas. It is crucial to raise awareness about the hazards of asbestos to reduce the global burden of mesothelioma linked to occupational exposure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In recent years, the stroke incidence has been increasing year by year, and the related sequelae after stroke, such as cognitive impairment, motor dysfunction, and post-stroke depression, seriously affect the patient's rehabilitation and daily activities. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), as a safe, non-invasive, and effective new rehabilitation method, has been widely recognized in clinical practice. This article reviews the application and research progress of rTMS in treating different functional impairments (cognitive impairment, motor dysfunction, unilateral spatial neglect, depression) after stroke in recent years, and preliminary summarized the possible mechanisms. It has been found that the key parameters that determine the effectiveness of rTMS in improving post-stroke functional impairments include pulse number, stimulated brain areas, stimulation intensity and frequency, as well as duration. Generally, high-frequency stimulation is used to excite the ipsilateral cerebral cortex, while low-frequency stimulation is used to inhibit the contralateral cerebral cortex, thus achieving a balance of excitability between the two hemispheres. However, the specific mechanisms and the optimal stimulation mode for different functional impairments have not yet reached a consistent conclusion, and more research is needed to explore and clarify the best way to use rTMS. Furthermore, we will identify the issues and challenges in the current research, explore possible mechanisms to deepen understanding of rTMS, propose future research directions, and offer insightful insights for better clinical applications. Noninvasive and effortless diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD) remains challenging. Here we report the multiplexed profiling of extracellular vesicle (EV) surface proteins at the single EV level in five types of easily accessible body fluids using a proximity barcoding assay (PBA). A total of 183 surface proteins were detected on the EVs from body fluids collected from APP/PS1 transgenic mice and patients with AD. The AD‐associated differentially expressed EV proteins could discriminate between the control and AD/AD model samples with high accuracy. Based on machine learning predictive models, urinary EV proteins exhibited the highest diagnostic potential compared to those on other biofluid EVs, both in mice and humans. Single EV analysis further revealed AD‐associated EV subpopulations in the tested body fluids, and a urinary EV subpopulation with the signature proteins PLAU, ITGAX and ANXA1 could diagnose patients with AD in blinded datasets with 88% accuracy. Our results suggest that EVs and their subpopulations from noninvasive body fluids, particularly urine, are potential diagnostic biomarkers for AD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Two-dimensional electron gas is precisely confined at the interface of insulating oxide thin films and substrates, e.g., LaAlO3/SrTiO3(STO) and, thus, shows 2D electronic transport features. Here, we report a high mobility electron state at the interface of a Cr2O3 film and a STO substrate, which is realized by depositing a Cr film onto a STO (111) substrate in high vacuum (1 × 10−10 mbar) using molecular beam epitaxy. At a substrate temperature of 700 °C, the deposited Cr films capture oxygen atoms from STO substrates, resulting in the formation of an insulating Cr2O3 layer and an oxygen-deficient STO layer. Due to the presence of high mobility electrons [1.5 × 104 cm2V−1 s−1 at 1.8 K] at the Cr2O3/STO interface, both out-of-plane and in-plane Shubnikov–de Haas oscillations are observed at low temperatures (<3 K), which suggests that the highly conducting electron gas has extended into the STO bulk along the thickness direction with a certain depth to allow electrons to complete the cyclotron motion. [Display omitted] Diabetic wounds are characterized by chronic trauma, with long-term non-healing attributed to persistent inflammation and recurrent bacterial infections. Exacerbation of the inflammatory response is largely due to increased levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS). In this study, catalase (CAT) was used as a biological template to synthesize nanozyme-supported natural enzymes (CAT-Mn(SH) x) using a biomimetic mineralization method. Subsequently, polymyxin B (CAT-Mn(SH) x @PMB) was immobilized on its surface through electrostatic assembly. CAT-Mn(SH) x @PMB demonstrates the ability for slow and sustained release of hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S). Finally, CAT-Mn(SH) x @PMB loaded microneedles (MNs) substrate were synthesized using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA), and named CAT-(MnSH) x @PMB-MNs. It exhibited enhanced enzyme and antioxidant activities, along with effective antibacterial properties. Validation findings indicate that it can up-regulate the level of M2 macrophages and reduce the level of pro-inflammatory cytokine tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α). Additionally, it promotes angiogenesis and rapid nerve regeneration, thereby facilitating wound healing through its dual anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects. Hence, this study introduces a time–space tissue-penetrating and soluble microneedle patch with dual anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects for the treatment of diabetic wounds. Photon superbunching, as a crucial resource for photonic quantum technologies, is investigated in several systems. This phenomenon can be induced by both coherent collective spontaneous processes such as superfluorescence and superradiance, and cascaded emission. Although superbunching emission induced by superfluorescence and cascaded emission is demonstrated recently in perovskite quantum dot (QD) superlattice and single perovskite QD, the effect itself is not that strong, especially in the former case with a second‐order photon correlation g(2)(0) only slightly larger than 2. Here, the superbunching emission from mesoscopic CsPbBr3 emitter clusters is reported. The higher temperature and excitation power are found to suppress the superbunching effect significantly. Compared with the former results in the literature, under the same experimental conditions, that is, temperature and excitation power, much larger g(2)(0) with the maximum value of 21 being achieved at 1.6 K with an excitation power of 0.1 µW is observed. The discoveries here improve the understanding of superbunching emission in perovskite‐based materials and will enable their application in developing multi‐photon light sources for photonic quantum technologies. Phosphine‐functionalized metal‐organic frameworks (P‐MOFs) as an emerging class of coordination polymers, have provided novel opportunities for the development of heterogeneous catalysts. Yet, compared with the ubiquitous phosphine systems in homogeneous catalysis, heterogenization of phosphines in MOFs is still at its early stage. In this Minireview, we summarize the synthetic strategies, characterization and catalytic reactions based on the P‐MOFs reported in literature. In particular, various catalytic reactions are discussed in detail in terms of phosphine ligand structure‐function relationship, including the potential obstacles for future development. Phosphine‐functionalized metal‐organic frameworks (P‐MOFs) as an emerging class of coordination polymers, have provided novel opportunities for the development of heterogeneous catalysts. Yet, compared with the ubiquitous phosphine systems in homogeneous catalysis, heterogenization of phosphines in MOFs is still at its early stage. In this Minireview, we summarize the synthetic strategies, characterization and catalytic reactions based on the P‐MOFs reported in literature. In particular, various catalytic reactions are discussed in detail in terms of phosphine ligand structure‐function relationship, including the potential obstacles for future development. Finally, we discuss the possible solutions, including new types of reactions and techniques as the perspectives for the development of P‐MOF catalysts, highlighting the opportunities and challenges. Application programming interface (API) recommendation plays a crucial role in facilitating smart contract development by providing developers with a ranked list of candidate APIs for specific recommendation points. Deep learning‐based approaches have shown promising results in this field. However, existing approaches mainly rely on token sequences or abstract syntax trees (ASTs) for learning recommendation point‐related features, which may overlook the essential knowledge implied in the relations between or within statements and may include task‐irrelevant components during feature learning. To address these limitations, we propose a novel code graph called pruned and augmented AST (pa‐AST). Our approach enhances the AST by incorporating additional knowledge derived from the control and data flow relations between and within statements in the smart contract code. Through this augmentation, the pa‐AST can better represent the semantic features of the code. Furthermore, we conduct AST pruning to eliminate task‐irrelevant components based on the identified flow relations. This step helps mitigate the interference caused by these irrelevant parts during the model feature learning process. Additionally, we extract the API sequence surrounding the recommendation point to provide supplementary knowledge for the model learning. The experimental results demonstrate our proposed approach achieving an average mean reciprocal rank (MRR) of 68.02%, outperforming the baselines' performance. Furthermore, through ablation experiments, we explore the effectiveness of our proposed code representation approach. The results indicate that combining pa‐AST with the API sequence yields improved performance compared with using them individually. Speech emotion recognition is of great significance in the industry such as social robots, health care, and intelligent education. Due to the obscurity of emotional expression in speech, most works on speech emotion recognition (SER) ignore the consistency of speech emotion recognition, leading to fuzzy expression and low accuracy in emotional recognition. In this paper, we propose a semantic aware speech emotion recognition model to alleviate this issue. Specifically, a speech feature extraction module based on CNN and Transformer is designed to extract local and global information from the speech. Moreover, a semantic embedding support module is proposed to use text semantic information as auxiliary information to assist the model in extracting emotional features of speech, and can effectively overcome the problem of low recognition rate caused by emotional ambiguity. In addition, the model uses a key-value pair attention mechanism to fuse the features, which makes the fusion of speech and text features preferable. In experiments on two benchmark corpora IEMOCAP and EMO-DB, the recognition rates of 74.3% and 72.5% were obtained under respectively, which show that the proposed model can significantly improve the accuracy of emotion recognition. Pot and field trials were conducted to explore the combined effect of biochar (BC) with topdressing silicon (Si) on Cd uptake by rice and grain yield in Cd-contaminated paddy soil. The treatments, including BC applied before transplanting (TBC), topdressing Si applied in the soil at the jointing stage (JSi) and BC combined with topdressing Si (TBC + JSi), were designed in a complete random block, and treatment without application of BC and Si was used as a control (CK). Results showed that Cd concentration in milled rice treated with TBC + JSi was decreased by 34.62%, 22.73% and 10.53%, respectively, when compared to CK, TBC and JSi, with the concentration being only 0.17 mg·kg−1. At rice maturity, available Cd in the soil was reduced by 7.98% (TBC), 4.76% (JSi) and 6.02% (TBC + JSi) when compared with CK, while the concentrations of total Cd were 32.07% (TBC), 27.85% (JSi) and 35.44% (TBC + JSi) higher than CK. Moreover, BC and Si increased the Cd sequestrated by leaves markedly, especially for TBC + JSi, which was much higher than TBC and JSi. Therefore, the transfer of Cd from leaf to milled rice was greatly decreased by TBC + JSi. In addition, a synergy effect of TBC + JSi on rice yield was also found. Compared with CK, the grain yields of TBC, JSi and TBC+ JSi were increased by 8.35%, 8.20% and 18.74%, respectively. Nutrient contents in soil and rice plants were also elevated by the application of BC and Si to a certain extent; for example, the contents of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K) and Si in soil treated with TBC + JSi were raised by 8.96–60.03% when compared with CK. Overall, the combined application of BC with topdressing Si not only increases soil nutrients significantly, promotes their uptake by rice and boosts grain yield, but also effectively inhibits Cd transfer and reduces its accumulation in rice, which ultimately guarantees milled rice security. These results also imply that the combined application of biochar with topdressing silicon might be considered as an effective agronomic measure to decrease the milled-rice Cd in Cd-contaminated paddy soil, which would guarantee food security. Simple Summary: Salmonella enterica is a zoonotic pathogen in humans that causes gastrointestinal infections or more serious infections. Second only to poultry, pigs are the most common source of zoonotic Salmonella enterica infections. Although current pig farm disinfection is very strict, its positive detection rate is still very high. Resistance to commonly used antibiotics has been observed in various bacteria in recent decades, requiring the use of alternative strategies to control pathogens. Therefore, comprehension of the pathogenic mechanism of Salmonella enterica in the pig gut is imperative, as it will greatly facilitate the advancement of preventive and therapeutic approaches for combating Salmonella enterica. By exploring the transcriptional regulation of intestinal cells in response to Salmonella enterica infection, we can find the key genes and pathways of host cells in resistance to Salmonella enterica infection, which will provide theoretical support for disease resistance breeding in pigs. Pigs can be colonized with Salmonella enterica and become established carriers. However, the mechanisms of the host's response to Salmonella enterica infection are largely unclear. This study was constructed with the Salmonella enterica infection model in vitro using porcine intestinal epithelial cells (IPEC-J2). Transcriptome profiling of IPEC-J2 cells was carried out to characterize the effect of Salmonella enterica infection and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) treatment, in which LPS-induced inflammation was a positive control. At first, Salmonella enterica infection increased the cell apoptosis rate and induced an inflammation response in IPEC-J2. Then, the up-regulated genes were enriched in metabolic pathways, such as those for bile secretion and mineral absorption, while down-regulated genes were enriched in immune-related pathways, such as the Toll-like receptor signaling and p53 signaling pathways. Moreover, we found 368 up-regulated genes and 101 down-regulated genes in common. Then, an integrative analysis of the transcriptomic profile under Salmonella enterica infection and LPS treatment was conducted, and eight up-regulated genes and one down-regulated gene were detected. Among them, AQP8 is one critical gene of the bile secretion pathway, and its mRNA and protein expression were increased significantly under Salmonella enterica infection and LPS treatment. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) can play essential roles in tumor development, including glioblastoma (GBM). The current study was performed to explore the function and mechanism of circ_0027446 in GBM progression. Circ_0027446, microRNA-346 (miR-346) and Phosphoglycerate kinase 1 (PGK1) levels were detected using reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction assay. Cell behaviors were examined using Cell Counting Kit-8 assay, colony formation assay, EdU assay, flow cytometry, and transwell assay. Glycolytic metabolism was analyzed by commercial kits. The protein level was determined via western blot. The target interaction was analyzed by dual-luciferase reporter assay. Circ_0027446 function in vivo was explored by tumor xenograft assay. Circ_0027446 expression was significantly up-regulated in GBM samples and cells. Circ_0027446 down-regulation suppressed proliferation, invasion, glycolytic metabolism and enhanced apoptosis of GBM cells. MiR-346 was a target of circ_0027446, and circ_0027446 promoted GBM progression by sponging miR-346. PGK1 acted as a target gene of miR-346, and circ_0027446 interacted with miR-346 to regulate PGK1 expression. Overexpression of miR-346 inhibited malignant behaviors of GBM cells through down-regulating PGK1. Circ_0027446 contributed to tumor growth in vivo via miR-346/PGK1 axis. Background: Textbook oncologic outcomes (TOO) have been used to evaluate long-term oncologic outcomes for patients after pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) but not laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD). The aim of the study was to assess the prognostic value of TOO for patients with pancreatic head cancer undergoing LPD and discuss the risk factors associated with achieving TOO. Methods: Patients with pancreatic head cancer who underwent LPD in West China Hospital from January 2015 to May 2022 were consecutively enrolled. TOO was defined as achieving R0 resection, examination of ≥ 12 lymph nodes, no prolonged length of stay, no 30-day readmission/death, and receiving adjuvant chemotherapy. Survival analysis was used to determine the prognostic value of a TOO on overall survival (OS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS). Logistic regression was used to identify the risk factors of a TOO. The rates of a TOO and of each indicator were compared in patients who suffered or not from delayed gastric emptying (DGE). Results: A total of 44 (25.73%) patients achieved TOO which was associated with improved median OS (TOO 32 months vs. non-TOO 20 months, P = 0.034) and a better RFS (TOO 19 months vs. non-TOO 13 months, P = 0.053). Patients suffering from DGE [odds ratio (OR) 4.045, 95% CI 1.151–14.214, P = 0.029] were independent risk factors for TOO. In addition, patients with DGE after surgery had a significantly lower rate of TOO (P = 0.015) than patients without DGE. Conclusions: As there were significant differences between patients who achieved TOO or not, TOO is a good indicator for long-term oncologic outcomes in patients with pancreatic head cancer after undergoing LPD. Subsequently, we designed IVS for model replicability evaluation with five steps in five items, including transparency of algorithms, performance of models, feasibility of reproduction, risk of reproduction, and clinical implication, respectively. The review is registered in PROSPERO (No. CRD42021271789). Results: In 20,887 screened references, 79 articles (82.5% in 2017–2021) were included, which contained 114 datasets (67 in Europe and North America, but 0 in Africa). We identified 486 AI-Ms, of which the majority were in development (n = 380), but none of them had undergone independent external validation. A total of 66 idiographic algorithms were found; however, 36.4% were used only once and only 39.4% over three times. A large number of different predictors (range 5–52,000, median 21) and large-span sample size (range 80–3,660,000, median 4466) were observed. All models were at high risk of bias according to PROBAST, primarily due to the incorrect use of statistical methods. IVS analysis confirmed only 10 models as "recommended"; however, 281 and 187 were "not recommended" and "warning," respectively. Conclusion: AI has led the digital revolution in the field of CVD prediction, but is still in the early stage of development as the defects of research design, report, and evaluation systems. Acute lung injury (ALI)/acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a life‐threatening disease without an effective drug at present. Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) was reported to be protective against inflammation in metabolic disease in recent studies. However, the role of FGF21 in ALI has been rarely investigated. In this study, it was found that the expression of FGF21 was markedly increased in lung tissue under lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulation in vivo, whereas it was decreased in lung epithelial cells under LPS stimulation in vitro. Therefore, our research aimed to elucidate the potential role of FGF21 in LPS-induced ALI and to detect possible underlying mechanisms. The results revealed that the deficiency of FGF21 aggravated pathological damage, inflammatory infiltration, and pulmonary function in LPS-induced ALI, while exogenous administration of FGF21 improved these manifestations. Moreover, through RNA sequencing and enrichment analysis, it was unveiled that FGF21 might play a protective role in LPS-induced ALI via JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway. The therapeutic effect of FGF21 was weakened after additional usage of JAK2 activator in vivo. Further investigation revealed that FGF21 significantly inhibited STAT3 phosphorylation and impaired the nuclear translocation of STAT3 in vitro. In addition, the aggravation of inflammation caused by silencing FGF21 can be alleviated by JAK2 inhibitor in vitro. Collectively, these findings unveil a potent protective effect of FGF21 against LPS-induced ALI by inhibiting the JAK2/STAT3 pathway, implying that FGF21 might be a novel and effective therapy for ALI. Developing novel hydrogen storage materials with high capacity and efficient reversibility at ambient conditions is crucial to the extensive use of hydrogen energy. In this study, we have systematically investigated the hydrogen storage performances of Ca-decorated boron-doped blue phosphorene (B@BlueP) monolayers by using first-principles calculations. The results show that substitutional boron doping can enhance the interaction between the Ca atom and BlueP and effectively hinder the formation of Ca clusters on the surface of BlueP. The Ca-decorated B@BlueP can store six hydrogen molecules per Ca atom with average adsorption energies of around 0.17–0.24 eV/H 2. Electronic structure analysis confirms that both the polarization of hydrogen molecules under the local electrostatic field and the hybridization of Ca- s / d orbitals with H 2 - σ orbitals contribute to the adsorption of hydrogen molecules in the surrounding of the Ca atom. The decoration of double-sided Ca atoms can lead to a high theoretical gravimetric hydrogen density of 7.29–7.76 wt%, exceeding the storage goal of 5.50 wt% proposed by US-DOE for applications. Furthermore, the practical hydrogen storage capacity at different pressures and temperatures was also studied through thermodynamic analysis, and the storage capacity is calculated to be around 5.50 wt% in practical circumstances (298 K/30 atm and 358 K/5 atm are used as adsorption and desorption conditions, respectively). Hence, the Ca-decorated B@BlueP monolayers have promising potential as reversible hydrogen storage materials under ambient conditions. Alzheimer's disease (AD) lacks effective clinical treatments. As the disease progresses, the cerebral glucose hypometabolism that appears in the preclinical phase of AD gradually worsens, leading to increasingly severe brain energy disorders. This review analyzes the brain energy deficit in AD and its etiology, brain energy rescue strategies based on ketone intervention, the effects and mechanisms of IF, the differences in efficacy between IF and ketogenic diet and the duality of IF. The evidence suggests that brain energy deficits lead to the development and progression of AD pathology. In this paper, we devise a pentamode metamaterial plate exhibiting topological characteristics. By organizing pentamode metamaterial structural elements, topological boundary states are attained, effectively safeguarding propagation of elastic waves. Moreover, based on the numerical simulation model, we employ a polymer to fabricate a macro-scale specimen via additive manufacturing. Through assessing the vibrational response of the sample, we corroborate its topological attributes in governing elastic wave transmission. In recent years, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have been attracting more and more attention. Although perovskite materials have high defect tolerance, defects remain the main factor that seriously affects the efficiency and stability of PSCs. Herein, the ionic liquid of 1-butyl, 3-methylimidazolium acetate ([BMIM][ACO]) was introduced into the SnO2/perovskite interface for the first time. Thanks to the dipoles formed by ILs spontaneously, the work function of SnO2 was reduced and the transport ability of carriers was improved as well. Moreover, the Lewis acidity and lone pair electrons of [BMIM][ACO] contribute to the passivation of I– defects, Pb2+ defects, or Pb-I anti site defects. In addition, the presence of dipoles will repel the approach of photogenerated holes and the reverse transport of electrons, reducing the recombination of defect sites through field-effect passivation. The solar cell with efficiency of 19.43% was obtained under such a dual passivation effect, and the best device maintained 75.21% of the initial efficiency after 80 h of continuous illumination. Rationale: In clinical diagnosis of liver injury, which is an important health concern, serum aminotransferase assays have been the go‐to method used worldwide. However, the measurement of serum enzyme activity has limitations, including inadequate disease specificity and enzyme specificity. Methods: With the high selectivity and specificity provided by nano liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS), this work describes a method for the simultaneous determination of six proteins in liver that can be potentially used as biomarkers for liver injury: glutamic‐pyruvic transaminase 1 (GPT1), glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase 1 (GOT1), methionine adenosyl transferase 1A (MAT1A), glutathione peroxidase 1 (GPX1), cytokeratin 18 (KRT18) and apolipoprotein E (APOE). Results: In validation, the method was shown to have good selectivity and sensitivity (limits of detection at pg/mL level). The analytical method revealed that, compared with normal mice, in carbon tetrachloride‐induced acute liver injury mice, liver MAT1A and GPX1 were significantly lower (p < 0.01 and p < 0.05, respectively), KRT18 was significantly higher (p < 0.05) and APOE and GPT1 were marginally significantly lower (p between 0.05 and 0.1). This is the first work reporting the absolute contents of GPT1, GOT1, MAT1A, GPX1 and KRT18 proteins based on LC/MS. Reactive metals hydrolysis offers significant advantages for hydrogen storage and production. However, the regeneration of common reactive metals (e.g. Mg, Al, etc.) is energy‐intensive and produces unwanted byproducts such as CO2 and Cl2. Herein, we employ Zn as a reactive mediator that can be easily regenerated by electrolysis of ZnO in an alkaline solution with a Faradaic efficiency of >99.9 %. H2 is produced in the same electrolyte by constructing a Zn‐H2O hydrolysis battery consisting of a Zn anode and a Raney‐Ni cathode to unlock the Zn‐H2O reaction. The entire two‐step water splitting reaction with a net energy efficiency of 70.4 % at 80 °C and 50 mA cm−2. Additionally, the Zn‐H2O system can be charged using renewable energy to produce H2 on demand and runs for 600 cycles only sacrificing 3.76 % energy efficiency. DFT calculations reveal that the desorption of H* on Raney‐Ni (−0.30 eV) is closer to zero compared with that on Zn (−0.87 eV), indicating a faster desorption of H* at low overpotential. Due to the current status of English as a lingua franca in numerous domains, increasing attention has been directed toward the economic potential of English. However, research on languages other than English from an economic perspective remains limited. This study aims to address this gap by examining the labor market demand for Japanese language skills in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region of China. Drawing on data from the job advertisements published on two prominent job websites in mainland China in 2019 and 2022, this study suggests an increasing overall demand for Japanese language skills, as well as a request for higher proficiency in Japanese in the PRD labor market between 2019 and 2022, despite variations observed across different economic sectors. Furthermore, the results also indicate a growing tendency to interweave Japanese and global English in the PRD labor market. Froth flotation, a prevalent technique for the separation of fine materials, is employed in the decarburization process of coal gasification fine slag (CGFS). This process is known to consume significant quantities of reagents. This study investigates the pronounced variance in collector consumption during the flotation decarbonization of two distinct CGFS samples, where a tenfold difference was observed when the tailings ash content surpassed 95%. A comprehensive set of analyses, including XPS, BET, SEM, wettability tests, LF-NMR and IGC-SEA, was conducted on the residual charcoal from CGFS to elucidate the mechanism behind reagent consumption. The findings reveal that the reagent’s ability to alter the surface hydrophobicity of residual charcoal is contingent upon the adsorption saturation of micropores and transition pores. Furthermore, variations in porosity and surface energy significantly impact collector consumption, independent of differences in the type and quantity of oxygen-containing functional groups. Open‐shell conjugated polymers with a high intrinsic conductivity and high‐spin ground state hold considerable promise for applications in organic electronics and spintronics. Herein, two novel acceptor‐acceptor (A–A) conjugated polymers based on a highly electron‐deficient quinoidal benzodifurandione unit have been developed, namely DPP‐BFDO‐Th and DPP‐BFDO. The incorporation of the quinoidal moiety into the polymers backbones enables deeply aligned lower‐lying lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) levels of below −4.0 eV. Notably, DPP‐BFDO exhibits an exceptionally low LUMO (−4.63 eV) and a high‐spin ground state characterized by strong diradical characters. Moreover, a self‐doping through intermolecular charge‐transfer is observed for DPP‐BFDO, as evidenced by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) studies. The high carrier concentration in combination with a planar and linear conjugated backbone yields a remarkable electrical conductivity (σ) of 1.04 S cm−1 in the "undoped" native form, ranking among the highest values reported for n‐type radical‐based conjugated polymers. When employed as an n‐type thermoelectric material, DPP‐BFDO achieves a power factor of 12.59 μW m−1 K−2. Furthermore, upon n‐doping, the σ could be improved to 65.68 S cm−1. This study underscores the great potential of electron‐deficient quinoidal units in constructing dopant‐free n‐type conductive polymers with a high‐spin ground state and exceptional intrinsic conductivity. From an engineering point of view pulsatile pipe flows, which include the hydrodynamic and acoustic fluctuations, can cause many problems such as vibration, noise and structural fatigue etc. Knowledge of the characteristics of hydrodynamic fluctuations (pseudo sound) and acoustic waves inside pipes particularly those with bends make is crucial to pipeline vibration and noise reduction. Numerical simulation of the pulsatile pipe flows shows challenges especially in curved pipes with different flow modes compounded, and predicting the acoustic fluctuations is even tougher. In this work, the unsteady flows of a straight and curved pipe with a 90° elbow induced by a pulsatile pressure inlet were calculated by Detached Eddy Simulations (DES). The pipe acoustic fields are solved through an acoustic perturbation equation, which takes the time derivative of hydrodynamic pressure as the aeroacoustic source. The characteristics of the flow and sound fields are discussed detailly, and special attention is paid to the influence of the 90° elbow on the curved pipe flow. The results show that the amplitude of hydrodynamic pressure fluctuations decrease almost linearly along the straight pipe, and the 90° elbow has obvious local influence on the flow pressure and velocity especially in the downstream side. The acoustic field is of 1-D standing wave pattern because of the fundamental pulsation frequency lower than the pipe cutoff frequency, and the 90° elbow has only negligible effect on the acoustic field in the flow frequency range. Owing to the synthesis complexity and environmental hazards for the preparation of paraffin sealants by conventional methods, an alternative strategy for paraffin microspheres preparation was still required. Herein, a simplified and economic method based on CO2/N2 switchable paraffin emulsion that was stabilized by surfactant tween-80/span-80 system, was proposed for paraffin microspheres preparation. Paraffin microspheres were obtained upon CO2-induced stability changes of emulsion. The prepared paraffin microsphere has a small mean diameter of 8814.5 nm which meets the demand for the particle size of practical production. With the paraffin microsphere dosage of 0.5%, the mud cake permeability decreased to 50.4%, which indicates the good plugging performance of microspheres. When repeatedly preparing the separated aqueous phase and the recovered emulsion containing dissolved emulsion, it was found that the mean diameter of paraffin microspheres changed slight, which indicates the recyclability of switchable solvent. Paraffin microspheres, as plugging additive, pose remarkable effects on other properties of drilling fluid. It was found that the density decreased from 1.05 g/cm3 to 0.89 g/cm3, AV from 4.0 to 10.50, PV from 1.0 to 7.50, YP from 1.0 to 3.0, and FLAPI decrease continually with the paraffin microspheres dosage increases to 2.5%. The recovery rate of shale is above 80% with the introduction of paraffin microspheres, which indicates that paraffin microspheres emulsion has good compatibility with drilling fluid matrix in a certain range. Herein, a paraffin microspheres preparation method based on CO2/N2 switchable emulsion is also proposed which has wide application in the preparation of paraffin microspheres. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, a LuGre model–based robust adaptive control (RAC) approach is presented for a pump-controlled hydraulic actuator. We first decompose the LuGre friction model into its steady-state model and a lumped dynamic part applying the mean value theorem, which are compensated by a feedforward term and a robust adaptive term, respectively. The robust adaptive term also plays a part in mismatched disturbance attenuation. In addition, parametric uncertainties and matched disturbances are handled by σ -modified adaptation laws and a robust control law, respectively. The stability of the closed-loop system is proved via the Lyapunov analysis. The efficacy and robustness of the proposed approach are validated by comparative experiments. Compared with common adaptive friction compensation methods, the proposed method has a simpler structure, less computational burden, better control performance, and stronger robustness. Moreover, since the available information is separated from the LuGre model and acts as a model-based compensation term, the design conservativeness of RAC is effectively reduced. This paper's primary motivation is to present a globally predefined-time sliding mode control (PtSMC) strategy to stabilize a class of second-order systems subjected to matched and mismatched disturbances. To achieve this, the paper proposes a new exact time disturbance observer (DOB) based on a terminal time regulator, which accurately estimates the disturbances within a prescribed time, effectively preventing the system state from escaping to infinity due to high gains and overestimation. In addition, a new predefined-time sliding mode variable with the estimation of DOB is developed to ensure a predefined-time convergence on the sliding mode phase against mismatched disturbances. The proposed DOB-based technique can alleviate the chattering resulting from the use of an overestimated gain, in contrast to the controller without employing a DOB. Furthermore, a predefined-time reaching law is introduced to guarantee a global predefined-time convergence. This paper establishes the stability of the disturbed second-order system under the proposed controller through strict Lyapunov analysis. The novelty of the proposed method lies in its global predefined-time convergence, chattering-reduced properties and robustness against matched and mismatched disturbances. In the process of human aging, significant age-related changes occur in brain tissue. To assist individuals in assessing the degree of brain aging, screening for disease risks, and further diagnosing age-related diseases, it is crucial to develop an accurate method for predicting brain age. This paper proposes a multi-scale feature fusion method called Tri-UNet based on the U-Net network structure, as well as a brain region information fusion method based on multi-channel input networks. These methods address the issue of insufficient image feature learning in brain neuroimaging data. They can effectively utilize features at different scales of MRI and fully leverage feature information from different regions of the brain. In the end, experiments were conducted on the Cam-CAN dataset, resulting in a minimum Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 7.46. The results demonstrate that this method provides a new approach to feature learning at different scales in brain age prediction tasks, contributing to the advancement of the field and holding significance for practical applications in the context of elderly education.
