This study aimed to assess the function of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) on growth performance, food intake and glucose homeostasis of Micropterus salmoides fed carbohydrate (CHO)-enriched diets. The intracerebroventricular glucose + GABA co-injected fish had higher cumulative food intake, and expression of orexigenic genes (ghrelin and neuropeptide y (npy)) in the brain than those of the single glucose-injected group. In the feeding trial, M. salmoides (10.35 ± 0.05 g) were fed four feeds containing a control feed (10 % CHO, C) and three GABA contents [0 (HC), 50 (HC-G1), and 100 (HC-G2) mg kg−1, respectively] of high-CHO feed (20 % CHO) for 12 weeks. High CHO prominently (P < 0.05) decreased WGR, SGR, FI, p-Ampk protein content, and expression of ghrelin, npy, fbpase, pparα, cpt1α and aco1 compared with the control group, but the opposite was true for plasma glucose and triglyceride levels, tissue glycogen and lipid contents, and expression of proopiomelanocortin, leptin a, gk, pk, gs, chrebp, srebp1, fas and acc1. HC-G2 diets prominently (P < 0.05) up-regulated WGR, SGR, FI, p-Ampk protein content, and expression of ghrelin, npy, gk, pk, chrebp, srebp1, fas and acc1 compared with the HC group. Also, HC-G2 diets increased glucose tolerance of M. salmoides fed high-CHO diets after glucose loading. Overall, GABA improved the growth performance, food intake and glucose homeostasis of high-CHO-fed fish by the increase of appetite, glycolysis, glycogenesis and lipolysis, as well as the inhibition of gluconeogenesis and lipid synthesis.

Introducing the prefabricated horizontal drains (PHDs) into the permeable geotextile tubes has been reckoned as an efficient and economical method of dewatering slurries with high water contents. However, its application is limited by the poor understanding of the fundamental consolidation mechanism, often resulting in overconservative designs. With the proposed two-dimensional plane-strain consolidation model, a semi-analytical solution calibrated by laboratory test results is obtained. Furthermore, parametric analyses, for example, PHD pave rate, and element aspect ratio, along with the soil anisotropy coefficient, are also conducted to achieve the optimum design requirement. A critical condition corresponding to the optimum effectiveness of this consolidation technique is found, beyond which the consolidation efficiency decreases gradually. The greater the abovementioned parameters are, the later and milder the efficiency reduction occurs. The consolidation efficiency can keep at a high level until the end of consolidation when the values of these parameters are great enough. In the end, design charts and design recommendations are provided with immediate benefits for practical engineers. With the continuous development of big data technology, the application of big data prediction in enterprise risk management is getting more and more attention. After proposing a framework for applying big data prediction in accounting management risk, this study builds an accounting management risk prediction model based on the optimized particle swarm and random forest algorithms.Company X’s accounting management risk-related data is taken as a research sample, and the effect of the constructed accounting management risk prediction model is investigated by comparing the models and assessing the risk prediction accuracy. The study shows that the PSO-random forest model built in this paper has faster convergence and higher accuracy than the ordinary random forest, and the overall accuracy of accounting management risk prediction is 12% higher. The model’s accuracy in predicting the overall and various types of risks in Company X’s accounting management is more than 85%. The PSO-Random Forest model is a reliable tool for predicting accounting management risks, which is of great practical importance.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is applied in various forms, such as decoction pieces, raw powder, extract, and patent Chinese medicine, etc. Controlling exogenous microbial contamination, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine, and selecting the appropriate sterilization technology are the key factors regarding its use. In this study, the literature on sterilization of TCM published from 2001 to 2021 was retrieved from CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, and Web of Science. Subsequently, visualization analysis software named VOSviewer and CiteSpace were used to analyze the application status and trend in TCM sterilization methods in the past 20 years. After screening was performed, 322 studies were included. The journal that published the highest number of studies on TCM sterilization was Electromechanical Information. The author's cooperative network analysis found that the Chinese medicine sterilization field mainly formed the China Institute for Food and Drug Control and Guangzhou Institute for Drug Control and other core research teams. Keywords in the literature show that the research on TCM sterilization of traditional Chinese medicine mainly focuses on irradiation, microwave, preparation process, active ingredients, drying, fingerprint, etc. The advantages and disadvantages of different sterilization technologies and their suitable scopes, combined with the future development trend in TCM sterilization, were comprehensively discussed for in-depth analysis, to provide a reference for researchers in selecting appropriate sterilization methods. To further promote the scientific development of TCM sterilization, the authors propose that TCM sterilization should be closely combined with technology, equipment, and policy in the future to facilitate rapid modernization of TCM.

Thrombosis occurs in both macrovasculature and microvasculature, causing various cardio-cerebral vascular diseases. The lack of effective and safe antithrombotic drugs leads to a public health crisis. Mounting evidence suggests that protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) plays a critical role in the initial stage of thrombus formation, motivating the research of the feasibility of PDI inhibitors as novel anti-thrombotics. Rutin, one of the most potent PDI inhibitors, was reported to suppress platelet aggregation and thrombosis in animal models, but further studies and clinical translation were restricted due to its low aqueous solubility and oral bioavailability. In this work, we fabricated rutin-loaded lipid-based nano-formulation (NanoR) and characterized their physical–chemical properties, release profiles, pharmacokinetic process, and pharmacodynamic function against thrombosis in macrovessels and microvessels. NanoR provided increased solubility and dissolution of rutin to achieve earlier Tmax and higher Cmax than the sodium salt of rutin (NaR) after oral gavage. Ex vivo studies demonstrated that NanoR significantly inhibited thrombin generation and clot formation in the plasma of mice. Importantly, such effect was reversed by exogenous recombinant PDI, demonstrating the specificity of the NanoR. In direct current-induced arterial thrombosis model and ferric chloride-induced microvascular thrombosis model, NanoR exhibited greatly enhanced antithrombotic activity compared with NaR. NanoR also showed good safety performance according to tail bleeding assay, global coagulation tests, and histological analysis. Overall, our current results indicated that NanoR offers a promising antithrombotic treatment with potential for clinical translation.

Vacuum preloading combined with prefabricated vertical drains (PVDs) system has been widely used to improve the soft clay with high water content. Clogging is usually formed around the PVDs during the vacuum preloading, impeding the propagation of the vacuum pressure and slowing down the consolidation process. To understand the forming mechanism of the clogging, particle image velocimetry (PIV) technique and particle tracking velocimetry (PTV) technique were adopted in the model test of vacuum preloading test. Through this study, three stages can be identified from the results of water volume discharge rate and maximum displacements versus time. In the first stage, the soil around the PVD is horizontally consolidated, which leads to the rapid formation of clogging. In the second stage, the formation of clogging slows down due to the loss of vacuum pressure, which further reduces the drainage. In the third stage, the clogging tends to be stable, and the drainage consolidation rate is significantly reduced. PTV results show that there is a difference in the displacement of large and small particles during improvement. Two methods were proposed to estimate the thickness of clogging zone, reflecting a growing layer of clogging zone compressed around the PVD. This study provides new insights to investigate the formation mechanism of clogging during vacuum preloading test. Le prechargement sous vide combine au systeme de drains verticaux prefabriques (PVD) a ete largement utilise pour ameliorer l'argile tendre a forte teneur en eau. Un colmatage se forme generalement autour des PVD pendant le prechargement sous vide, empechant la propagation de la pression du vide et ralentissant le processus de consolidation. Afin de comprendre le mecanisme de formation du colmatage, la technique de velocimetrie par image de particules (PIV) et la technique de velocimetrie par suivi de particules (PTV) ont ete adoptees dans le test modele de l'essai de precharge sous vide. Cette etude permet d'identifier trois etapes a partir des resultats du taux de decharge du volume d'eau et des deplacements maximaux en fonction du temps. Dans la premiere etape, le sol autour du PVD est consolide horizontalement, ce qui conduit a la formation rapide de colmatages. Dans la deuxieme etape, la formation de colmatage ralentit en raison de la perte de pression du vide, ce qui reduit encore le drainage. Dans la troisieme etape, le colmatage tend a etre stable, et le taux de consolidation du drainage est considerablement reduit. Les resultats de la PTV montrent qu'il existe une difference dans le deplacement des grandes et petites particules pendant l'amelioration. Deux methodes ont ete proposees pour estimer l'epaisseur de la zone de colmatage, refletant une couche croissante de zone de colmatage comprimee autour du PVD. Cette etude fournit de nouveaux elements pour etudier le mecanisme de formation du colmatage pendant l'essai de prechargement sous vide.
