[Purpose/Significance] A future learning center (FLC), a ground-breaking novel education model crafted in response to the burgeoning demands of a rapidly digitized and intelligent society, will undeniably spearhead the new wave of intelligent construction in contemporary university libraries. As this evolution unfolds, libraries urgently need to clarify and solidify their roles in the meticulous construction of future learning centers. Doing so will promote vibrant knowledge exchange, robustly stimulate cross-disciplinary cooperation, and also guide and embolden libraries to proactively seize unprecedented development opportunities and to collaboratively face the emerging challenges ahead. [Method/Process] To comprehend the genesis and potential of the FLC, this research undertakes a meticulous examination of its foundational concepts, overarching objectives, inherent tasks, and structural framework. It delves deep into the libraries' pivotal role in nurturing these centers, especially through the lens of role delineation and functional metamorphosis. Gleaning insights from real-world examples such as the Beijing Institute of Technology Library and the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Library, this investigation seeks to capture a snapshot of the current operational landscape, along with its associated tribulations and challenges. Through this way, the research hopes to chart a roadmap, offering invaluable reference and actionable guidance for libraries poised to embark on their journey of creating FLCs. [Results/Conclusions] The future learning center encompasses an intelligent learning environment that melds information services with learning and teaching support. Such spaces are poised to emerge as novel grassroots learning organizations underpinning evolution in learning techniques and the genesis of knowledge. Crafting these future learning centers necessitates a systematic approach, calling for collaboration from various stakeholders. Within this context, libraries serve dual roles as both initiators and active contributors. While libraries' involvement in developing future learning centers remains in nascent stages of growth, the core challenge lies in pioneering a human-centric model that harmoniously fuses space, resources, and services to offer students an enriched, tailored, and novel learning journey. As educational paradigms shift, libraries must capitalize on this momentum, drawing from their foundational expertise in intelligent library development, to resonate with the evolving criteria of talent development. Confronted with myriad challenges-ranging from role definition, conceptual alignment, and overcoming educational reform resistance to enhancing professional acumen and navigating spatial constraints-libraries are suggested to strategically assimilate educational assets, reconfigure spatial methodologies, and proffer intelligent solutions. They should aim at fostering students' proficiency in autonomous, participatory, and investigative learning through diverse resources. In essence, libraries should evolve into hubs for information services, focal points for student learning, and pillars for teaching assistance.

[Purpose/Significance] The new generation of generative artificial intelligence technology and its applications have entered a new stage of development. Models such as ChatGPT are leading the way in model-driven content generation, ushering in a new era and attracting discussions and attention from various sectors. Currently, there is a wealth of research on artificial intelligence from the perspectives of technological advancements, machine language, algorithm models, application scenarios and so on. However, there are relatively fewer articles specifically focusing on the application of AI generated content (AIGC) in GLAM fields, such as galleries, libraries, art museums. AI in the GLAM field is currently undergoing a transition from digitization to intelligentized level. Therefore, this paper explores the multi-scenario innovative applications of AI in the GLAM field with the theme of "Shaping the Future: AIGC and GLAM Innovative Development", which aims to contribute to the innovation research of AI and cultural, development and provide valuable insights in this field. [Method/Process] The structure of this paper consists of three parts: the evolution and current status of AIGC, the exploration of AIGC's applications in various scenarios within the GLAM field, the risks and challenges faced by AIGC and GLAM in terms of innovative development. Firstly the article provides a brief introduction to the development history of artificial intelligence, the concept of AIGC, algorithm models, typical features, and its current development status both domestically and internationally. Secondly, it presents a review and summary of existing application cases of AIGC in the GLAM field, including the use of virtual scenarios, virtual IP idols, ancient book OCR technology, VR/AR experiences in the fields of image analysis, digital humanities research, and new formats of digital cultural industries. The article analyzes how AIGC enriches the content production, innovation, and user interaction modes, as well as resource management models within GLAM. It also highlights the potential significant advantages in specific areas such as digital individuals, digital collections, and digital media. Lastly, the paper addresses the potential risks and challenges that may arise during the process of AIGC and GLAM's innovative development. These challenges encompass technical aspects, algorithmic biases, network information security, ethical and moral considerations, academic research, publishing and legal regulations. [Results/Conclusions] AIGC possesses advantages such as high efficiency, intelligence, and immersive experiences. It not only brings about transformative changes in content within the GLAM field but also breaks free from traditional interactive modes characterized by singularity and flatness in user engagement. By leveraging technologies such as VR/AR, virtual digital characters, and virtual spaces, AIGC enables diverse and three-dimensional interaction models with customs, thereby significantly expanding the applications in the GLAM field. If we appropriately and fully utilize the valuable opportunities presented by AIGC, it can play a positive role in inheriting and promoting the Chinese excellent civilization and cultural heritage. Furthermore, it will also play a crucial role in accelerating the digital transformation and upgrading of the cultural industry.

With the explosive popularity of ChatGPT and the development of AI generated content (AIGC), the new generation of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has triggered people's imagination and discussion about the production mode of digital content and the industry transformation. At the same time, it also prompted more scholars' thinking beyond embracing the technological changes in the field information resource management. Based on this, we invited 6 experts to carry out related discussions from the perspective of the disciplinary construction and development of information resource management. (1) AIGC and the field of library and information service: The essence of the rapid development of AI technology lies in the improvement of people's ability in knowledge acquisition brought by the continuous enrichment of data resources and the improvement of quality. The professionals in the field of library and information service should fully understand their value and their role, give full play to the advantages of data resources in libraries, effectively utilize their expertise in knowledge organization and management, actively promote research and development of AI technology, and contribute their wisdom and solutions. (2) The disruptive change brought about by AIGC: The emergence of ChatGPT has brought subversive challenges to the library and information service field. The professionals in this field should actively promote the transformation of the AI era, seize the opportunity, and explore new growth points around knowledge production, resource discovery, knowledge relevance and scientific research ethics. In addition, they should give play to the advantages of our country's political system and intensive development policies, promote the transformation of information services to knowledge content generation service, and raise the knowledge productivity of the whole society. (3) AIGC and cultural heritage resources: ChatGPT has ushered in an era of model-driven content production and carry out innovation in the mode of intelligent service of cultural heritage resources supported by AIGC. In addition, this paper also analyzes the copyright ownership, real-time, interpretability, verifiability, trustworthiness, algorithm bias and cognitive misdirection of large-scale AIGCs. In the future, universal value rationality such as public order and good customs should be endowed with the AIGC, and the paradigm change in the field of cultural heritage should be actively welcomed and promoted. (4) AIGC and researches on intelligent information processing of ancient books: While ChatGPT plays a positive role in promoting intelligent information processing of ancient books and promoting cultural transmission and civilization inheritance, it also brings challenges in cultural value and national security, content security and information governance, information literacy and humanistic education. It is necessary to make efforts in the aspects like providing higher quality and larger scale of precise processing of ancient books in the future, so as to build a scientific, comprehensive and systematic system of information security and digital ethics. (5) AIGC and intelligent tool revolution: This paper analyzes the three elements of big data, giant model and huge computing power in the development of AIGC technology, as well as the four development directions of large and complete data volume, fine granularity of data analysis, multi-source and multi-mode semantic integration of semantic association, human-computer integration of information services and intelligent interaction. It is pointed out that AIGC will bring about the paradigm change of content production in three aspects: production innovation, automatic generation and ecological cultivation. At the same time, it will also bring challenges in technology monopoly and hegemony, network information security technology integration and other aspects. (6) AIGC and library: Based on the analysis of the core technology innovation trend in the ChatGPT model expansion, data enhancement and model fusion, this paper demonstrates the necessity and crisis of using ChatGPT in libraries. In addition, from five aspects of intelligent management system, retrieval system, recommendation system, question answering system and search engine, this paper puts forward some suggestions on the use of GPT in library service integration and innovation promotion.

Segmentally assembled bridges are increasingly finding engineering applications in recent years due to their unique advantages, especially as urban viaducts. Vehicle loads are one of the most important variable loads acting on bridge structures. Accordingly, the influence of overloaded vehicles on existing assembled bridge structures is an urgent concern at present. This paper establishes the finite element model of the segmentally assembled bridge based on ABAQUS software and analyzes the influence of vehicle overload on an assembled girder bridge structure. First, a finite element model corresponding to the target bridge is established based on ABAQUS software, and the load is controlled to simulate vehicle movement in each area of the traveling zone at different times. Second, the key cross-sections of segmental girder bridges are monitored in real time based on the force characteristics of continuous girder bridges, and they are compared with the simulation results. Finally, a material damage ontology model is introduced, and the structural damage caused by different overloading rates is compared and analyzed. Results show that the finite element modeling method is accurate by comparing with on-site measured data, and it is suitable for the numerical simulation of segmental girder bridges; Dynamic sensors installed at 1/4L, 1/2L, and 3/4L of the segmental girder main beams could be used to identify the dynamic response of segmental girder bridges; The bottom plate of the segmental girder bridge is mostly damaged at the position where the length of the precast beam section changes and the midspan position. With the increase in load, damage in the direction of the bridge develops faster than that in the direction of the transverse bridge. In order to study the stiffness degradation of pre-stressed concrete T-beams throughout their entire service life, full-scale destructive tests were conducted on newly constructed T-beams. The test process characterized the relationship between load and deflection at different load levels. Meanwhile, the equivalent stiffness and short-term stiffness of the T-beams at different load levels were calculated based on formulas from the code, and a segmental stiffness back-calculation method for pre-stressed concrete T-beam bridges was proposed based on system identification theory. The results show that, during the destructive test process, the T-beams experienced complete, partial linear, and non-linear stages. By using the equivalent stiffness and short-term stiffness to predict the stiffness changes during the overall failure process of the T-beams, it was found that, when cracks appeared, the stiffness of the T-beams decreased by 31% compared to the initial value, and the stiffness continued to decrease as the cracks extended further. The segmental stiffness system identification back-calculation method more accurately described the destructive test process of each section of the T-beams. This method can help to evaluate the extent of damage in each section of the beams during the overall destructive test process and further assess the overall structural integrity of the beams. With the rapid development of bridge construction, the service life of bridges and traffic volume continue to increase, leading to the gradual appearance of diseases such as potholes and cracks in bridge deck pavements under repeated external loads. These issues severely impact the safety and service life of bridges. The repair of bridge deck potholes and cracks is crucial for ensuring the integrity and safety of bridge structures. Rapid repair materials designed for this purpose play a critical role in effectively and efficiently addressing these issues. In order to address the issues of pavement diseases, this study focuses on the rapid repair of epoxy concrete for bridge deck pavements and its performance is studied using experimental methods. Firstly, carbon black, rubber powder, and other materials were used to improve the elastic modulus and aging resistance of the epoxy concrete. Secondly, the addition of solid asphalt particles provided thermal sensitivity to the repair material. Finally, various properties of the rapid repair epoxy concrete for bridge deck pavements were tested through experiments including compressive strength testing, elastic modulus measurement, thermal sensitivity testing, and anti-UV aging testing. The experimental results show that adding carbon black and rubber powder reduces the elastic modulus of epoxy concrete by 25% compared to normal epoxy concrete, while increasing its aging resistance by 1.8%. The inclusion of solid asphalt particles provided thermal sensitivity to the repair material, contributing to better stress coordination between the repair material and the original pavement material under different temperature conditions. The development of information technology has led to massive, multidimensional, and heterogeneously sourced disaster data. However, there's currently no universal metadata standard for managing natural disasters. Common pre-training models for information extraction requiring extensive training data show somewhat limited effectiveness, with limited annotated resources. This study establishes a unified natural disaster metadata standard, utilizes self-trained universal information extraction (UIE) models and Python libraries to extract metadata stored in both structured and unstructured forms, and analyzes the results using the Word2vec-Kmeans cluster algorithm. The results show that (1) the self-trained UIE model, with a learning rate of 3 × 10−4 and a batch_size of 32, significantly improves extraction results for various natural disasters by over 50%. Our optimized UIE model outperforms many other extraction methods in terms of precision, recall, and F1 scores. (2) The quality assessments of consistency, completeness, and accuracy for ten tables all exceed 0.80, with variances between the three dimensions being 0.04, 0.03, and 0.05. The overall evaluation of data items of tables also exceeds 0.80, consistent with the results at the table level. The metadata model framework constructed in this study demonstrates high-quality stability. (3) Taking the flood dataset as an example, clustering reveals five main themes with high similarity within clusters, and the differences between clusters are deemed significant relative to the differences within clusters at a significance level of 0.01. New fog seal material has been developed using emulsified asphalt (EA) modified by composite agents including waterborne epoxy resin (WER), waterborne polyurethane (WPU), waterborne acrylic resin (WAR) or cement, to address the shortcomings of conventional fog seal material in terms of poor durability and adhesion. Test results showed that the new material was uniformly dispersed and stable to store, with improved pullout strength by 2-4 times, a water permeability coefficient close to zero and slight reduction in British Pendulum Number when comparing the fog seal with or without fine sand. The suggested composition is between 50-70% cationic EA, 15-25% WER, 10-20% WPU and 0-5% WAR, with a spraying amount of 0.6-0.7 kg/m2 along with a ratio of 100 modified emulsions, 8 cement, and 25-40 sand. Electromagnetic wave pollution has become a significant harm posed to human health and precision instruments. To shelter such instruments from electromagnetic radiation, high-frequency electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials are extremely desirable. The focus of this research is lightweight, high-absorption EMI shielding composites. Simple aqueous dispersion and drying procedures were used to prepare cotton fiber (CF)-based sheets combined with various zinc oxide (ZnO) contents. These composites were carbonated in a high-temperature furnace at 800 °C for two hours. The obtained CF/ZnO samples have densities of 1.02–1.08 g/cm3. The EMI shielding effectiveness of CF-30% ZnO, CF-50% ZnO, and CF-70% ZnO reached 32.06, 38.08, and 34.69 dB, respectively, to which more than 80% of absorption is attributed. The synergetic effects of carbon networks and surface structures are responsible for the high EMI shielding performance; various reflections inside the interconnected networks may also help in improving their EMI shielding performance. In view of problems of video super-resolution reconstruction method based on non-local mean (NLM) that reconstructed image was too smooth, convergence speed was slow and calculation amount was large, an improved super-resolution reconstruction algorithm of non-local mean video was proposed. The method uses fuzzy edge complement algorithm to divide preprocessed video image into flat region and texture region; for flat region, image enhancement processing is performed by histogram equalization to reduce the amount of algorithm calculation; for texture region, it is processed by the improved NLM reconstruction algorithm, and similarity weights is corrected by designing a multi-directional adaptive search window and introducing neighborhood coherence coefficients, so as to enhance texture details of the reconstructed image and speed up the convergence of the algorithm; Superimposed normalization of the reconstructed texture region and the enhanced flat region is performed to complete super-resolution reconstruction of the entire video image. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce overall complexity of the algorithm and shorten reconstruction time while improving the texture details and peak signal-to-noise ratio of the reconstructed image.

In this study, the comprehensive performance of cold mix asphalt (CMA) is evaluated by seven laboratory test methods, namely the Hveem cohesion test, water immersion splitting test, freeze–thaw splitting test, indirect tensile fatigue test, semi-circular bending (SCB) test, dynamic modulus test, and rutting test. The CMA is modified using the regenerant (RE), Buton rock asphalt (BRA), and styrene–butadiene rubber (SBR) latex. In addition, we have proposed an evaluation model based on the grey target theory to quantitatively assess the effects of the modification approaches. The results show that the CMA modified with 8% RE has the best comprehensive property. RE is a potential modifier and reduces the content of emulsified asphalt for CMA, which can significantly improve the cohesion, moisture susceptibility, dynamic mechanical properties, and durability of CMA. This study sheds light on the analysis of the thermodynamic properties of the asphalt-aggregate interface under the modification of low-dimensional carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) copolymers through molecular modeling techniques, and mainly addresses the following queries: How do asphalt, modifiers, moisture, and mineral molecules interact with each other? What are the regulations of the thermodynamic properties and energy conversions in asphalt-aggregate systems, especially in the presence of oxidation and moisture? How does the failure pattern and bond strength of the asphalt-aggregate system modified by CNTs develop under tensile forces? Supported by molecular dynamics (MD) simulation approaches, molecular models such as 12-component asphalt, three mineral components (CaO, SiO2 , and Al2O3), long-chain SBS copolymer, and CNT tubular were developed for subsequent calculations. The surface energy of each component of the asphalt-aggregate model was determined at the molecular scale to quantify the intermolecular forces between the components and the integral tensile strength of the molecular structure. The effectiveness of aging behavior and moisture on thermodynamic properties and failure patterns of asphalt-aggregate systems containing polymer/CNT composites was evaluated. The results suggested that CNT molecules can promote the intermolecular interaction forces and interfacial energies at the asphalt-aggregate interfaces. The oxidative aging caused a degradation of the surface energy, cohesion energy of the asphalt modified by SBS/CNT additives, and leaded to complicated response on adhesive energies at asphalt-aggregate interface. The combination of alkaline mineral (CaO) and CNT was beneficial in decreasing the moisture susceptibility of the asphalt mix. The failure pattern was in cohesive cracking form within the asphalt and the bond strength was enhanced by CNTs. The increase in temperature weakens the intermolecular energies of the asphalt-aggregate system and its bond strength. This paper provided an explanation for the molecular energy conversion and the mechanical enhancement mechanism of low-dimensional CNTs in petroleum asphalt-based composites. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The void phenomenon behind the tunnel lining has become the main cause of tunnel disease, easily triggering tunnel lining structure damage, shedding, water seepage, and other diseases that seriously threaten the normal operation of the tunnel. The void area behind the lining seriously reduces the seismic capacity of the tunnel. In this paper, the mechanical parameters of the surrounding rock are calculated by optimizing the inversion of the improved system identification sensitivity analysis method, and the numerical model of the tunnel's dynamic response is optimized using the improved inversion results to study the repair effect and seismic capacity of the Longmenshan tunnel using polymer grouting to repair the void area behind the lining under the action of a seismic load. The results show that the displacement and stress at the top of the tunnel secondary lining void area are significantly reduced and close to normal after the repair of polymer grouting; however, the stress and displacement at the top of the secondary lining are significantly different under the action of seismic waves at the same peak at different site conditions, which indicates that the dynamic response of this tunnel model has obvious sensitivity to the seismic wave spectrum.
