A necessidade de ressignificação no processo de ensino de Língua Portuguesa tem levado professores da educação básica a buscar novas práticas educativas. Uma alternativa advém das que são desenvolvidas em projetos de letramento (KLEIMAN, 2000). É nesse sentido que esta pesquisa de intervenção tem por objeto de estudo a assembleia de classe como evento de letramento. Assim, visando ao objetivo geral de investigar a eficácia da assembleia de classe vista como evento de letramento para a ressignificação das práticas de leitura, escrita e oralidade de estudantes de 7o ano de uma escola pública norte-rio-grandense, postulamos os seguintes objetivos específicos: (i) identificar as atividades desenvolvidas na assembleia de classe que favorecem a ressignificação das práticas de leitura, escrita e oralidade; (ii) investigar como se desenvolvem, em assembleia de classe, atividades de leitura, escrita e oralidade voltadas para a ação e a mudança social. Para tanto, fundamentamo-nos na perspectiva dialógica de língua(gem) do Círculo de Bakhtin (BAKHTIN/VOLOCHÍNOV [1929] 2006); nos estudos de letramento (KLEIMAN, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2006; OLIVEIRA; TINOCO; SANTOS, 2011; STREET, 1984; TINOCO, 2008); nos conceitos de comunidade de aprendizagem (AFONSO, 2001) e de assembleia de classe vista como evento de letramento. Do ponto de vista metodológico, ancoramo-nos nos trabalhos de natureza qualitativo-interpretativista de vertente etnográfica ligados à Linguística Aplicada (MOITA LOPES, 2006). Colaboraram nesta pesquisa alunos do 7o ano, professores, equipe gestora, pais de alunos e agentes externos à comunidade escolar. Na análise dos dados, destacamos como a assembleia de classe se configura como evento de letramento, constituindo-se num espaço de ressignificação de práticas de leitura, escrita e oralidade. Nela, ações sociais são deliberadas, possibilitando, assim, o empoderamento dos discentes e a transformação de um estado de coisas a partir do agir da coletividade. The need for resignification in the Portuguese Language Teaching process has been leading teachers from basic education to seek new educational practices. An alternative comes from those that are developed in the literacy projects (KLEIMAN, 2000). In this sense, this intervention research aims to study the class assemblies as a literacy event. In order to investigate the effectiveness of assemblies for the resignification related to students’ reading, writing and orality practices of a public school in Rio Grande do Norte, we have postulated the following specific objectives: (i) to identify the developed activities in the class assembly that support the resignification of reading, writing and oral practices; (ii) to investigate how reading, writing and oral activities are developed in a class assembly, focused on action and social change. For this, we have based this research on the dialogical perspective of language from the Circle of Bakhtin (BAKHTIN / VOLOCHÍNOV [1929] 2006); in the literature studies (KLEIMAN, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2006; OLIVEIRA; TINOCO; SANTOS, 2011; STREET, 1984; TINOCO, 2008), in the concepts of learning community (AFONSO, 2001) and the class assembly, also viewed as a literacy event. Concerning to the methodological point of view, we are anchored in the qualitative-interpretative work of an ethnographic dimension connected to Applied Linguistics (MOITA LOPES, 2006). Collaborating in this research, there were 7th grade students, some teachers, the school staff, parents of the students and agents from outside the school community. For the data analysis, we would like to highlight how the class assembly is configured as a literacy event, constituting a space of resignification for reading, writing and oral practices, where the social actions are deliberate, and enable the students' empowerment, and the transformation of a state of things from the collective action.

Tendo em vista a multiplicidade de linguagens e mídias presentes nos textos contemporâneos, o trabalho com os gêneros digitais caracteriza-se essencial para o ensino de leitura e escrita. Os meios virtuais já estão presentes em várias atividades cotidianas que requerem o uso da língua. Isso mostra que o mundo globalizado traz novas exigências de letramento e diversas práticas de leitura. Considerando essa perspectiva, propomos trabalhar os multiletramentos presentes nos novos textos a partir dos pressupostos enunciativos discursivos bakhtinianos. Para isso, optamos por constituir como objeto de investigação/intervenção o miniconto de terror, gênero discursivo multimodal, por se tratar de um enunciado multissemiótico de circulação digital/virtual. Nesse contexto, o presente trabalho teve o objetivo de compreender como o ensino desse gênero pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento dos saberes relacionados à leitura e à produção textual exigidas pelos multiletramentos, através da execução de uma Sequência Didática, em sala de aula, especificamente para duas turmas do Ensino Fundamental, 7º e 8º anos, de escola pública. A pesquisa se fundamentou na teoria de Bakhtin e o Círculo (2009, 2011) sobre gêneros numa perspectiva dialógica e na proposta de Dolz e Schneuwly (2004) para o ensino de texto por meio de Sequências Didáticas. Recorremos, ainda, aos preceitos dos multiletramentos enfocados em ROJO (2012, 2013). A metodologia utilizada assentou-se numa abordagem qualitativa dos dados. Consideramos na análise dos minicontos produzidos pelos alunos o hibridismo próprio dos multiletramentos, as características discursivas tais como composição, estilo e conteúdo temático, bem como as relações de dialogicidade presentes nesses enunciados. Ao final da pesquisa, percebemos que a nossa intervenção contribuiu para a ampliação dos saberes dos sujeitos envolvidos relacionados à leitura e produção de gênero multimodal. Given the multiplicity of languages and media present in contemporary texts, the work with digital genres characterizes itself as essential for teaching, reading and writing. Virtual media is already present in many dayly activities that require the use of language. This shows that the globalized world brings new demands of literacy and various reading practices. Given this perspective, we propose to work the multiliteracies present in the new texts from the enunciative discourse Bakhtinian assumptions. For this, we chose to be as the object of research / intervention, the horror flash fiction multimodal discursive genre, because it is a multissemiótico digital statement of virtual circulation. In this context, this study aimed to understand how the teaching of this kind can contribute to the development of knowledge related to reading and text production, required by multiliteracies, by performing a Didactic Sequence in the classroom, specifically for two classes of elementary school, 7th and 8th grades of public school. The research was based on Bakhtin's theory and the Circle (2009, 2011) on gender perspective in a dialogic and the proposed Dolz and Schneuwly (2004) for the text of teaching through sequences Teaching. We also use the precepts of multiliteracies focused on Rojo (2012, 2013). The methodology used was based on a qualitative approach. We consider the analysis of minicontos produced by students, it's own hibridism of multiliteracies, the discursive characteristics such as composition, style and subject content, in addition to relations dialogicity present in these statements. At the end of the study, we realized that our intervention contributed to the expansion of knowledge of the subjects involved related to reading and multimodal genre production.

Necrosis and ethylene-inducing peptide 1 (Nep1)-like proteins (NLPs) are secreted by a wide range of plant-associated microorganisms. They are best known for their cytotoxicity in dicot plants that leads to the induction of rapid tissue necrosis and plant immune responses. The biotrophic downy mildew pathogen Hyaloperonospora arabidopsidis encodes 10 different noncytotoxic NLPs (HaNLPs) that do not cause necrosis. We discovered that these noncytotoxic NLPs, however, act as potent activators of the plant immune system in Arabidopsis thaliana. Ectopic expression of HaNLP3 in Arabidopsis triggered resistance to H. arabidopsidis, activated the expression of a large set of defense-related genes, and caused a reduction of plant growth that is typically associated with strongly enhanced immunity. N- and C-terminal deletions of HaNLP3, as well as amino acid substitutions, pinpointed to a small central region of the protein that is required to trigger immunity, indicating the protein acts as a microbe-associated molecular pattern (MAMP). This was confirmed in experiments with a synthetic peptide of 24 aa, derived from the central part of HaNLP3 and corresponding to a conserved region in type 1 NLPs that induces ethylene production, a well-known MAMP response. Strikingly, corresponding 24-aa peptides of fungal and bacterial type 1 NLPs were also able to trigger immunity in Arabidopsis. The widespread phylogenetic distribution of type 1 NLPs makes this protein family (to our knowledge) the first proteinaceous MAMP identified in three different kingdoms of life.

The biotrophic plant pathogen Hyaloperonospora arabidopsidis produces a set of putative effector proteins that contain the conserved RXLR motif. For most of these RXLR proteins the role during infection is unknown. Thirteen RXLR proteins from H. arabidopsidis strain Waco9 were analyzed for sequence similarities and tested for a role in virulence. The thirteen RXLR proteins displayed conserved N-termini and this N-terminal conservation was also found in the 134 predicted RXLR genes from the genome of H. arabidopsidis strain Emoy2. To investigate the effects of single RXLR effector proteins on plant defense responses, thirteen H. arabidopsidis Waco9 RXLR genes were expressed in Arabidopsis thaliana. Subsequently, these plants were screened for altered susceptibility to the oomycetes H. arabidopsidis and Phytophthora capsici, and the bacterial pathogen Pseudomonas syringae. Additionally, the effect of the RXLR proteins on flg22-triggered basal immune responses was assessed. Multifactorial analysis of results collated from all experiments revealed that, except for RXLR20, all RXLR effector proteins tested affected plant immunity. For RXLR9 this was confirmed using a P. syringae ΔCEL-mediated effector delivery system. Together, the results show that many H. arabidopsidis RXLR effectors have small effects on the plant immune response, suggesting that suppression of host immunity by this biotrophic pathogen is likely to be caused by the combined actions of effectors.

Pesquisa do Estado do Amazonas This search sought to analyze the leprosy fighting policies deployed in Manaus in the period 1921, time of installation of the Amazon Rural Prophylaxis Service, agency responsible for the State Public Health which fought for the giving of the Paricatuba lands to the construction of the first leper hospital in Manaus. Paricatuba, that time, is an island where the only access is by boat, these leper hospital internal were isolated for their whole lives. The leper hospital worked since 1930, it s inauguration year by mi-1980, when was vandalized, according to information obtained, ordered by the State Government itself to oblige the internal to live at Col??nia Ant??nio Aleixo , the new leper hospital. Paricatuba which had the name Vila Beliz??rio Pena was reformulated to meet the precepts of hygiene defined by the Departamento Nacional de Sa??de P??blica. The final point of this search is the year of 1942 when new leprosy fighting policies are inserted in the city and there s a new activity to the Col??nia Ant??nio Aleixo which was located in the rural Manaus and its access routes were going to land. This date of 1942 also marks the end of compulsory isolation and leprosy, according to doctors, could be treated as a common disease.
