The Gamma Knife Icon unit is the latest radiosurgery equipment used for noninvasively treating intra-cranial diseases through Stereotactic radiosurgery treatment procedures. Performing radio-physical testing on the new Gamma Knife Icon unit before starting clinical procedures is essential to ensure its functionality. In line with the manufacturer's recommendations and the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) formed Task Group 178 (TG-178), we conducted the vital radio physical tests for the newly installed Gamma Knife unit, including precision of beam alignment, measurement of Gamma Knife accuracy, Center Position measurements, off center position measurements, measurement of absorbed dose rate, and Relative Output factor measurement. We used high special resolution External Beam Therapy 3 (EBT3) GafChromic film and small volume ion chambers (Exradin A16, chamber volume 0.007 cc and PTW 0.125 cc) for the above mentioned tests. We also performed the source confirmation test with a 16 mm collimator. Background Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) is a fluoroscopy technique used in interventional radiology to clearly visualize blood vessels in a bony or dense soft tissue environment. Images are produced using contrast medium by subtracting a "pre-contrast image" or mask from subsequent images, once the contrast medium has been introduced into a structure, hence the term "Digital subtraction angiography." Indocyanine green video angiography (ICG-VA) is a safe and practical method of real-time delineation of microvasculature used in the surgical management of intracranial aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and other vascular lesions. Intraoperative ICG-VA is used as an adjunct in addition to intraoperative or postoperative DSA, and in other cases, it is used as the sole method to confirm the complete obliteration of clipped intracranial aneurysm. The only limitation of ICG-VA is the nonvisibility of vessels that are not in the operative field. Intraoperative ICG is useful in the clipping of intracranial aneurysms to ensure a gross patency of branch vessels; however, the presence of residual aneurysms and subtle changes in flow in branch vessels is best seen by DSA. Methods ICG angiography was done during the surgery and the findings of intraoperative ICG angiography were compared with postoperative DSA that was done between 6 and 12 weeks. DSA was done to see any compromise of lumen of parent vessel by clip, any residual aneurysm. Results In our study, intraoperative ICG complete aneurysm obliteration was present in all 30 (100%) patients, while in postoperative DSA complete aneurysm obliteration was diagnosed in 27 (90.0%) patients. Parent vessel patency was present in all 30 (100.0%) patients in both intraoperative ICG-VA and postoperative DSA. In intraoperative ICG distal branch patency was present in 26 (86.7%) patients, while in postoperative DSA distal branch patency was diagnosed in 27 (90.0%) patients. Conclusion We compared the intraoperative ICG finding and postoperative DSA finding and found that DSA is more sensitive than ICG in depicting residual aneurysm neck, hence reducing the risk of rupture of the aneurysm in future. Intraoperative ICG has high special resolution reflex feedback, intraoperative repositioning time is less and thus critical ischemia time is reduced. In a developing country like ours where DSA facilities are limited, ICG can be optimal investigation to delineate the vascular anatomy and confirmation of clip position thus reducing mortality. This research uses a normative empirical research method that combines a normative analysis approach with empirical methods to explore certain legal issues that discuss the concept of a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) as an alternative dispute resolution in corporate crime cases in Indonesia, taking into account the experiences of the United States and the United Kingdom. The main focus is to identify the advantages and disadvantages of DPA implementation in Indonesia, including maintaining corporate reputation, minimizing the risk of bankruptcy, and resolving cases efficiently. India's Supreme Court has held that a final judgment or decree from a court or tribunal serves as a valid proof of debt for initiating insolvency proceedings under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. This article explains the framework of corporate insolvency resolution process, whether the credits contained in the arbitral award can be used to initiate the insolvency process under Indian law, whether there is a distinction between a foreign seated award and a domestic award in relation to the ability to use the credit for initiation of the insolvency process. It also explores the category of debt for claims arising from such awards. The international response to the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) includes the massive financial intervention of governments and the international framework to evolve a preventive mechanism through Global Systemically Important Banks (G-SIBs) as a standard-setting model and regulatory tool for financial system resilience. The framework of the legal architecture required a substantive formal diffusion by legal transplant to implement the regulation of the Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs) for risk governance. The legal reform incorporated D-SIBs within the legal culture into the Bank and Other Financial Institutions Act by legislative process to mitigate systemic risk. The Act empowered the regulators to undertake the Special Resolution Regime and avoid the Too-Big-Too-Fail syndrome of D-SIBs, a source of instability in the banking system. Corporate resolution on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) communication informs firms' environmental commitment, a growing determinant of corporate risk profile perceived by the market. This study examines ESG reporting in the presence of board co‐option, a phenomenon that paralyzes the dependency of the board of directors and impairs corporate transparency. Using data from 643 US‐listed firms from 2007 to 2018, we investigate the relationship between board co‐option and ESG disclosure practices and show that firms with a higher proportion of co‐opted directors on board disclose less ESG information, though this relationship diminishes if firms are strong ESG reporters. Further analyses reveal that long‐tenure board chairs, high attendance rates at board and audit committee meetings, and independent chairs of audit committees mitigate this adverse effect. In addition, we document an increasing inverse relationship among firms located in more corrupt and Democratic‐leaning states and operating in heavy‐emitting industries. Our results support the premise that co‐opted directors insulate CEOs from ESG reporting pressure and highlight that corporate governance, environmental performance as well as state institutions play significant moderating roles in this relationship. Hydrophobic hydration, whereby water spontaneously structures around hydrophobic and amphiphilic molecules, plays a key role in the process of surfactant micelle formation and micellar oil solubilization. Using vibrational Raman multivariate curve resolution spectroscopy, we characterized changes in the hydrophobic hydration occurring within nonionic alkylphenol ethoxylate surfactant Tergitol NP‐12 micelles as a function of oil solubilization. We report trends in the changes of hydrophobic hydration depending on the chain length of the oil as well as the presence of a halogen atom in the oil chemical structure. Changes in hydrophobic hydration directly correlate to changes in the physical properties of the micellar solution, including cloud point and micelle hydrodynamic diameter. We compare hydrophobic hydration of Tergitol NP‐12 to nonionic linear alkyl ethoxylate surfactant Makon TD‐12 and ionic sodium dodecyl sulfate and observe similar trends; the molecular structure of the oil has the largest impact on the hydrophobic hydration. We believe these studies contribute to a fundamental understanding of the importance of hydrophobic hydration in surfactant and oil aggregates, especially as it relates to micellar oil solubilization, and provide insight into how the molecular solubilizate can impact micellar structure, size, and stability. This article explores the option of restructuring a corporate debtor through sale as a going concern in liquidation, as opposed to the corporate insolvency resolution process. Although the existing insolvency law in India treats liquidation as a matter of last resort, this article argues that if sale as a going concern in liquidation entails a higher realisation for the creditors, it should be viewed as an equally viable and beneficial option for restructuring. However, this would necessitate overhauling the existing insolvency regime to allow the stakeholders to assess and select the best option for themselves and the corporate debtor. National Company Law Tribunals (NCLTs) form the backbone of the institutional setup of the corporate law mechanism. The tribunals though were initially given a minimal role in the judicial procedure of the corporate world and were seen with scepticism, their significance could not be ignored for long. With the increase in insolvency disputes, the NCLTs were even given the jurisdiction to handle the cases regarding the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) and Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP). However, the efficiency of these tribunals has to be inspected with respect to CIRP cases for knowing the clear picture. In this paper, an economic analysis of the working of the NCLT Ahmedabad is undertaken to get a better understanding of the efficiency of the NCLTs in general. The study relies on qualitative tools such as interviewers conducted by relevant stakeholders and observing NCLT court proceedings to capture the measurement reality of NCLT efficiency. The article analyzes the legislative norms that provide for the joint liability for damages caused by a corporate group of persons, the current practice of the Supreme Court regarding the resolution of corporate disputes on squeeze-out procedures. The history of the emergence and conditions of application of the doctrine of "lifting the corporate veil" have been studied. It was recognized as appropriate by the court to apply the doctrine of "lifting the corporate veil" in order to ensure the effective protection of minority shareholders as an extraordinary measure in case of abuse by the members of the corporate group of the right to control the company and joint actions in the process of implementing the mandatory sale of shares with the aim of buying out the shares of minority shareholders at an undervalued cost. Corporate structures of the MP Azovstal PrJSC, Avdiyiv Coke Chemical Plant PrJSC, Ukrainian Graphite PrJSC, MMK Ilycha PrJSC, DTEK Dniproenergo JSC, Zakarpattiaoblenergo PrJSC, which conducted squeeze-out procedures were analyzed. These companies conducted squeeze-out procedures using corporate structures, affiliated subsidiary companies, related persons. The beneficiaries (beneficiaries) of the acquired 100 % corporate control were determined, the application of the doctrine of "lifting the corporate veil" and bringing the members of the corporate group to joint and several liability were investigated. The issuer, the applicant of the public irrevocable claim, its affiliated persons and persons acting jointly, the ultimate beneficial owner are recognized as the proper defendants in disputes related to squeeze-out procedures. The specified persons, who make up a single corporate group, are jointly and severally liable to the minority shareholders for the damages caused in the process of the squeeze-out procedure. Derivative suit is offered to spread over the losses caused by company officials to its shareholders in the procedures of redemption, compulsory redemption and compulsory sale of shares. Disputes of compulsory sale of shares in the squeeze-out procedure belong to the subject jurisdiction of commercial courts as disputes on deeds of shares, regardless of the dispute parties. • Human Tissue Banks must guarantee the quality of biological samples and tissues. • It is necessary to monitor the temperature of coolers for transporting these samples. • Transport boxes were compared in terms of the ability to maintain desired temperatures. • Box 2 maintained the desired temperature for a longer period than Box 1 According to the Resolutions of the Collegiate Board of Directors RDC No. 20/2014, 214/2018, and 707/2022, validation of the temperature of thermal boxes for the transport of biological samples must be based on standardized procedures and tested by the Tissue Banks, guaranteeing safety and quality. Therefore, they can be simulated. Our objective was to monitor and compare the temperature of 2 different coolers while transporting biological samples. The following items were packed in each of the 2 different thermal boxes (Box 1: Easy Path; Box 2: Safe Box Polyurethane Vegetal): 6 blood samples (30 mL), one bone tissue sample (200 g), 8 hard ice (Gelox, to keep the temperature <8ºC), and internal and external traceability "Time Stamp" sensors installed for measuring and storing temperature data in real-time. The monitored boxes were placed in the trunk of a bus that traveled an approximate distance of 630 km and were then placed in the trunk of a car, under direct sunlight, until they reached a temperature of 8ºC. In Box 1, the internal temperature was maintained in the range of –7ºC to 8ºC for approximately 26 hours. In Box 2, the internal temperature was maintained in the range of –10ºC to 8ºC for approximately 98 hours and 40 minutes. We concluded that both coolers, under similar storage conditions, are suitable for transporting biological samples, with Box 2 maintaining the desired temperature for longer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The actuality of the scientific research is determined by the need of finding the most effective way of resolving corporate disputes, which are caused by the creation of new social relations in the sphere of management in a post-soviet environment. The research aims to analyze mediation procedures as a way of resolving corporate disputes with the account of Kazakhstan Republic's national legislation peculiarities. Amongst used approaches, the dogmatic method, synthesis method, juristic hermeneutics method, logical analysis method, theoretical approach, induction method, and others were used in the research. Comparative-juristic analysis was conducted in the research, which allowed us to investigate the modern state of corporate dispute prevention and resolution mechanisms in the context of juristic practices of European Union countries and Kazakhstan. Analysis of this segment has shown that the current mediation practice of resolving corporate disputes has several drawbacks and problems, which causes a need of implementing international practice into the law enforcement practice of Kazakhstan while addressing all the peculiarities of current national legislation. An analysis of the corporate dispute resolution mechanism was conducted, which allowed highlighting key characteristics, attributes, and functioning principles of the segment. During the current national basis analysis, the adoption of the Law "On mediation" caused several amendments in the legislative acts. Even though, norm regulation still has problematic aspects. India’s Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016 (Code), as originally enacted, did not provide adequate special protection to homebuyers in failing real estate projects. The article discusses two separate developments related to UK banks. The first is a consultation launched by HM Treasury to enhance the Special Resolution Regime (SRR) for smaller banks following the failure of SVB. The proposal aims to give the Bank of England more powers to manage the failure of smaller banks and prevent systemic risks. The second development is a review conducted by the UK Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) on the ring-fencing rules for UK banks. The assessment of the absolute ν mass scale is a crucial challenge in today's particle physics and cosmology. The only experimental method which can provide a model-independent measurement is the investigation of endpoint distortion in beta/electron capture spectra. 163 Ho is a good choice thanks to its low electron capture Q value (about 2.8 keV), the proximity of the end-point to resonance M1 and its half-life (4570 years). The HOLMES experiment will exploit a calorimetric measurement of 163 Ho decay spectrum deploying a large set of cryogenic micro-calorimeters containing implanted 163 Ho. In order to get the best experimental sensitivity, it is crucial to combine high activity with very small undetected pileup contribution. Therefore, the main tasks of the experiment consist of: the development of about 1000 fast (3 μ s time resolution) cryogenic micro-calorimeters characterized by extraordinary energy resolution (down to few eV); the embedding of 163 Ho source inside the calorimeters, avoiding to spoil detectors' thermodynamical properties (mainly heat capacity) and preventing pileup issues. Moreover, it is also necessary to avoid contamination from other radionuclides, mainly 166 m Ho. Finally, an efficient high-bandwidth multiplexed readout has to be developed. The commissioning of the first implanted array is currently ongoing; the first data acquisition is expected to start in fall 2022. Ulf Miehe was a singular figure in West German crime fiction. The dominant mode of the genre during this period was the so-called "Soziokrimi," i.e. crime fictions that aimed to analyze the fault lines and dislocations in society. Miehe produced narratives that pursued these questions, but he embedded this agenda in poetically sophisticated texts that engage with the conventions of the genre and reflect on the composition of the texts themselves. Research has portrayed person–environment (PE) fit as a pleasant condition resulting from people being attracted to and selected into compatible work environments; yet, our study reveals that creating and maintaining a sense of fit frequently involves an effortful, dynamic set of strategies. We used a two-phase, qualitative design to allow employees to report how they become aware of and experience misfit, and what they do in response. To address these questions, we conducted interviews with 81 individuals sampled from diverse industries and occupations. Through their descriptions, we identified three broad responses to the experience of misfit: resolution, relief, and resignation. Within these approaches, we identified distinct strategies for responding to misfit. We present a model of how participants used these strategies, often in combination, and develop propositions regarding their effectiveness at reducing strain associated with misfit. These results expand PE fit theory by providing new insight into how individuals experience and react to misfit—portraying them as active, motivated creators of their own fit experience at work. The protein bars offer the consumer the proposal to supplement the diet with a greater supply of proteins, destined mainly to the practitioners of physical activities. Reading nutritional information is important to assist the consumer in their food choices. According to Brazilian nutrition labeling legislation, protein supplements must contain at least 10g of protein per serving, 50% of calories must come from protein and the variation between the nutrients on the label and the amount found in analyzes should not exceed 20% tolerance, and the images and descriptions on the packaging should not lead the consumer to error. The objective of this study was to evaluate the nutrient content in protein bars and to verify compliance according to the nutritional labeling and protein bars laws. The three brands analyzed were in disagreement with the Resolutions of the Collegiate Board of Directors (RDC) n° 259/2002, n° 360/2003 and n° 18/2010, since all had more than one nutrient that exceeded 20% of tolerance, all were classified as energy bars and non-protein bars and lack of standardization was observed in the portions in which the bars are commercialized, which can lead the consumer to error. It is necessary that companies comply with nutrition labeling legislation and that there is greater control by the food control agencies, since the lack of trustworthiness in the nutritional information available damages the consumer's right to know exactly what they are consuming, hindering their food choices. Complex wounds represent a threat to the viability of a limb or to life as they affect large areas of the body, requiring special methods for their resolution. The objective was to identify the effectiveness of negative pressure therapy in the treatment of complex lesions. This is an integrative review carried out in April 2021, in the LILACS, Web of Science, Medline and SciELO databases. The MeSH descriptors "Wounds and injuries" and Therapeutics and "Negative-Pressure Wound Therapy" were crossed and after applying the eligibility criteria, 11 articles were selected. It was found that the potentialities related to the use of negative pressure therapy stand out from the existing weaknesses, which is considered effective in the treatment of complex injuries, however, little used by professionals in the public health network, requiring its appropriation by health professionals in order to provide alternative and more effective treatments for those with complex wounds. However, the UV component in sunlight also inflicts DNA damage, mostly in the form of cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers (CPD) and (6‐4) pyrimidine–pyrimidone photoproducts, which are mutagenic and lethal to the plant cells. These lesions are repaired by blue‐light‐dependent photolyases and the nucleotide excision repair enzymatic systems. Here, we characterize nucleotide excision repair in Arabidopsis thaliana genome‐wide and at single nucleotide resolution with special focus on transcription‐coupled repair and the role of the CSA1 and CSA2 genes/proteins in dictating the efficiency and the strand preference of repair of transcribed genes. However, the UV component in sunlight also inflicts DNA damage, mostly in the form of cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers (CPD) and (6‐4) pyrimidine–pyrimidone photoproducts, which are mutagenic and lethal to the plant cells. These lesions are repaired by blue‐light‐dependent photolyases and the nucleotide excision repair enzymatic systems. Here, we characterize nucleotide excision repair in Arabidopsis thaliana genome‐wide and at single nucleotide resolution with special focus on transcription‐coupled repair and the role of the CSA1 and CSA2 genes/proteins in dictating the efficiency and the strand preference of repair of transcribed genes. Sub-hourly to seasonal and interannual oceanographic phenomena can be better understood with high special resolution and high frequency tidal observations. However, while current tidal measurements can provide sufficiently high observational density in terms of time, the observational density in terms of space is low mainly due to the high expense of constructing tide gauge stations. In this work, we designed a novel tide monitoring technique with muography that could be operated in near-shore basements (or similar structures on land below sea level) and found that more practical, stable, robust and cost-effective high-spatiotemporal-density tide measurements are possible. Although the time resolution, sensitivity, and the distance between the detectors and the shorelines are tradeoffs, hourly and annual sensitivity (ability to detect the tide height variations) of less than 10 cm and 1 mm can be statistically attained, respectively. It is anticipated that the current muographic technique could be applied as an alternative, cost-effective and convenient dense tidal monitor network strategy in coastal areas worldwide. The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) of India which offers a mode of reorganisation for distressed corporations prevents promoters and directors with non-performing assets from submitting plans to rescue their company. This provision is contained under section 29A of the IBC. Judicial interpretation has required corporate reorganisations under India's Companies Act to give effect to the limitations under section 29A as well. The introduction and application of section 29A is reflective of a broader scepticism towards allowing promoters and directors whose companies entered financial distress from regaining control. This article evaluates whether section 29A has addressed the problems it had set out to and finds that some ineligibilities prescribed for the incumbent management under section 29A can be relaxed. It also uses the example of the United Kingdom's insolvency regime (with which India bears similarities) to explain why resolution plans from the incumbent management should not be disallowed.
