The paper deals with the reconstruction of climatic and hydrological aspects of the flash flood in Sobotište in 1678 in terms of historical geography. The weather conditions and consequences (especially damage) caused by this natural disaster were outlined by M. Bel in paragraph IX. CHVOYNITZE (slov. Chvojnica), § V. Natural History of the General Part of the Knowledge of the Nitra County (1742). More detailed information about the given flood is provided by transcripts of anabaptist codes by J. Beck (1883), family historiography by D. Krman jr. (1708) and monograph and paper written by Ľ. Pauliny (1888, 1891). We obtained further data and parallels to the issue from the literature, data from the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute and old maps. © 2022 Revista Ecuatoriana de Neurologia. The landscape surrounding village Tardos (Tardos in Hungarian) in the north of Komarom-Esztergom County is a part of the cultural heritage of Slovaks in Hungary. The study analyses the issue of the revitalisation of the landscape in the context of its use (historical land use). Current state of the local landscape represents the result of the migration of ethnic groups to the territory of Tardos and its subsequent colonisation. Since the end of the first quarter of the 18th century the process of revitalisation of the abandoned landscape had been associated with the arrival of the Roman Catholic settlers from the counties located north of the Danube river (Nitra and Trencin). The new population began to cultivate devastated landscape of the Tardos-Tolna basin in the Gerecse Mountains. The aim of this paper is to characterize the Tardos land use with an emphasis on the period from 1725 (Slovak colonisation of the defunct village territory) to 2017. A brief assessment of the land use during the period before the arrival of the Slovak colonists is included in the study. Recent changes of areas in the analysed territory are characterized by land use classes (LUC) during the last 300 years (1725-2017) in the context of natural (geoecological) and social factors. Besides these data a framework proposal for the management of the local landscape is suggested. The development of the historical land use after the arrival of the Slovaks is outlined in the thematic maps, chart with LUC areas in particular periods and in diagram. The methodology used and the results achieved can be applied in the study of the land use of other Slovak exclaves in Tardos surroundings. Findings concerning the local land use changes with an emphasis on the period after 1725 can be possibly taken into account in practice of the creation of an integrated landscape management of the surveyed territory or in the process of consolidating the local population identity.

The purpose of the paper is to present the ways of using augmented reality as part of location based services. These tools have become very popular after the mass using of smart phones and navigation technologies. The objective of the paper is to introduce a unified web-based platform invented for data providers for smarter transformation of the static data. We used developer's interfaces of the most popular augmented reality mobile apps (Layar and Wikitude) to utilize them in to the user-friendly web platform which provides comfort for content creators. Thus we have a simple and very effective tool for dynamization of static data (points of interests in the cities) to the dynamize form suitable for augmented reality apps. The implementation of the web-based platform is being realized among Czech destination management organizations and will be released under the open source license. This approach comes with the unique benefits for data providers/content creators and could bring new point of view for big data presentation to the public.

Landscape of Slovakian enclave Sara (hung. Sari) is an integral component of cultural heritage of lowland Slovaks. The paper is about reconstruction of land use in the examined area during the period 1696-2011. Relation modelling of the man - landscape (area) - culture - time we have realized by the secondary literature, maps (old maps from the year 1782/85 to 1882, satellite image from the year 2009) with results of field research (2011). Modern human intervention to the landscape structure of the investigated territory after the year 1696 necessitated a gradual transformation of the extensive land use of wetlands with a mosaic of forests and extensive pastures on the current arable-meadow landscape with floodplain forests islands and non-forest trees and scrub vegetation. Presented (historical-cultural and geographical) view of Slovakian enclave landscape Sara represents one of possible approach to the knowledge of the cultural Slovak heritage in Pest district.

This paper considers the reconstruction of forest development in industrial landscape of the town of Novaky and its hinterland in the southern part of the Prievidzska Basin, which is being reconstructed through profiles of cultural-landscape layers (CLL). The main objective of the article is modelling development of forest on the choric model of local country within specific time horizons from the Young and Late Bronze Age (ca 1,200 800 BC) until 2025/30. A secondary objective is to present the method of profiles CLL as an alternative way of evaluating the forest transformations in the landscape. Historical development of the forest on the CLL profiles of Novaky and its hinterland was elaborated according to the large-scale maps from years 1782/84, 1845, 1882, 1900, 1938, 1956 and 1994 transformed into a uniform scale (1: 25 000). Profiles with models of prehistoric (Young and Late Bronze Age), respectively historical development of forest communities in the land use of investigated area from the 13th to 16th century and from years 2011 and 2025/30 were constructed using the above mentioned base maps, literature and the field research results. Method of CLL profiles has the potential to become one of the alternative ways for studying the development of forest and its anthropogenic exploitation It also allows representation of horizontal and vertical dependencies and relationships between natural components of the landscape.

From August 1914 to November 1918 the biggest military conflict lasted, which was gradually joined by thirty four of the fifty six then existing states of the world. The huge dimensions of the conflict, but also the technological advances in arms production led to mass consumption of war material, which meant an extra burden on the economy of all the belligerent countries and necessitated emergency economic measures. The militarization of the economy of the belligerent countries was associated with a change mechanism for the functioning of their economies, in particular the extensive use of state interventionism. This scientific paper maps commissary security of the Austro-Hungarian Army and its changes and challenges throughout the Great War (the first world war). Based on the economic situation of the Austro-Hungarian Empire the paper emphasizes the economic level of the Czech lands before 1914. The issue is handled from the perspective of food security and the impact to the army and whole society.
