The study of phenomena related to the propagation of electromagnetic waves is a necessity with the development of mobile telephony networks. This paper deals with the problem of the quality of mobile telephony signals. The study uses a BTS scanner, dedicated to scanning the frequency spectrum and decoding information from base stations. The device is capable of scanning mobile networks from the second, third, fourth, and fifth generation (2G/3G/4G/5G) using a passive sensor. The article presents preliminary results of monitoring cellular network signals using a scanner mounted on an unmanned aircraft. The collected data call for the need to evaluate the signal parameters of the cellular network depending on the altitude of signal reception. The human race has been confronting the issue of poverty which is threatening its continued existence for a long time. Poor access to finance can lead to poverty this breeds health issues, lack of access to social and recreational facilities, social delinquencies, reduced living standard, malnutrition and economic difficulties. The goal of defeating poverty in its various ramification remains a cardinal concern for policy formulators in the Nigerian state and international bodies such as the World Bank and United Nations. Following the thriving emergence of financial technology (fintech) in Nigeria, there exist a dearth in academic researches to examine how fintech can be a driver in the reduction of poverty. This study examined the impact of financial technology on poverty reduction in Nigeria. Data on poverty rate, financial technology, mortality rate, literacy rate and gross domestic products were obtained from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in Nigeria and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) statistical bulletin for the period of 1991 - 2021. This study employed the multiple linear regression estimation technique to analyse collected data as it examines a cross-section of major key independent variables across a time series data, on the premise of a common effect model. Data analysed indicates a negative and significant nexus between poverty rate and financial technology innovation. The result also suggest that literacy rate and poverty rate have a negative and insignificant relationship. The poverty rate was also found to be positively and insignificantly related to mortality rate and gross domestic products respectively. The study findings have several significant policy implications. Firstly, infrastructures that support internet and mobile telephony should be expanded by providing incentives for investment since technology is the backbone of the operations of fintech. Secondly, education on fintech, information communication technology and finance should be increased to fill the gap among citizens who are not technological inclined especially in the rural areas to increase the use of fintech. In this study an innovative integrated approach is proposed to develop a design schema for automatic defect detection system. This system has been successfully implemented in an empirical factory setting. In addition, this novel design has been authorized a new patent. This integrated methodology is literally comprised of vertical thinking mode coupled with lateral mode, which results a much better solution than employing traditional way alone. The vertical mode includes DMAIC, 8D methodology, and ECRS techniques. And the lateral counter-part consists of Design Thinking and 3I Design Methodology. The empirical implementation of this integrated approach focuses on the automated defect detection of manufacturing cell phone case. The patented novel design has been proven to be empirical efficacy and effectiveness. The testing results reveal considerable savings both in labor expenditures and reduced costs. With the continuous maturity and adoption of mobile devices enabled by wireless communication technology, people are more apt to record their sport exercise data or healthcare data through various lightweight and smart devices, e.g., mobile phones and smart watches. Meanwhile, massive sport data or healthcare data keep being produced with time, which forms a main source of big healthcare data. Deep mining and analysis of such healthcare data are of positive significance for accurately recognizing the real-time health condition of mobile users and further recommend appropriate sport items to them. However, traditional centralized healthcare data mining and recommendation approaches require mobile users to transmit their health data collected by mobile devices to a remote cloud platform, which often involves heavy data transmissions from mobile devices to cloud platform. As a consequence, the transmission cost is high and the time delay is long. Moreover, long-distance data transmissions are prone to disclose user privacy. Considering these limitations, we bring forth a novel time-efficient and privacy-preserving healthcare data integration and mining approach for sport item recommendation, based on edge-cloud collaboration mechanism. At last, we design a group of simulation experiments to validate the effectiveness and efficiency of our approach. We describe the creation of a data resource for charting the adoption of fixed line telephony in Great Britain over the period 1880–1984, of which the period 1880–1951 is available for wide research use. We first evaluate the use of various open-source software and then develop the novel teldiR open-source package to capture digitally encoded scans of all available telephone directories at ten-yearly intervals throughout this period and document the quality control checks used to establish the provenance of the resulting digital records. Our research demonstrates the feasibility of digitally encoding scans of historical telephone directories, and suggests potential analytical extensions to this work, including georeferencing of subscriber records. This research is seen not only as facilitating geographical analysis of the adoption of fixed line telephony, but also as creating a bridge between historical analysis of residential mobility, migration, and changing geodemographic structure in the years between (now digitized) historical censuses and present day digital sources. Index‐based microinsurance is a promising risk management tool for smallholder farmers. Recently, several mobile‐delivered insurance schemes have entered the market. Depending on the degree of digitisation of the product, farmers can learn about the insurance, register, pay premiums and receive payouts via a mobile phone. As cell phone usage and network coverage constantly increase, digitally enabled insurance distribution may overcome previous barriers for insurance adoption. Still, farmers' preferences for these products remain largely unknown. We address this knowledge gap by means of a discrete choice experiment applied to 499 maize farmers in Mali. The experiment presents an easy‐to‐understand multi‐peril crop insurance linked to a greenness index. It focuses on attributes related to the distribution channel and product design. Using mixed logit models, we find that the insurance attributes enabled by mobile‐delivery are attractive to farmers. Product bundles that include mobile‐delivered weather information and agricultural advice in addition to the insurance policy or credit access increase the likelihood of farmers taking out insurance. Similarly, recommendations from fellow farmers increase interest in the insurance product. The results are highly relevant for future product improvements that are needed to increase adoption rates and ultimately realise the loss‐hedging potential of microinsurance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study examines the Handover Success Rates (HSR) within Malawi's mobile telecommunications landscape, extending its analysis beyond the initially narrow scope of Airtel Malawi Plc and Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) to include a more comprehensive dataset covering multiple quarters from the first quarter of 2020. Employing a robust methodological framework, this paper integrates advanced statistical techniques to assess HSR but also examines data throughput, call setup success rates, and customer experience metrics. The findings reveal that while Airtel and TNM consistently surpass the regulatory benchmarks set by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA), there exists a significant opportunity for further enhancing network reliability and user satisfaction. By showcasing the application of innovative analytical tools and extending the research scope to include a broader range of performance metrics, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of mobile network performance dynamics. The insights garnered from this analysis not only highlight the necessity for ongoing network optimization efforts but also underscore the potential for adopting next-generation technologies to sustain and improve service quality in the face of increasing demand. The pursuit of economic growth has implications for carbon emissions and climate change. Achieving low carbon development is important for attaining the targets of the sustainable development goals. Africa is often described as a largely import-dependent continent. The continent also requires significant investment in information and communication technologies (ICT) and renewable energy to achieve low-carbon economic growth. However, empirical evidence on the joint impacts of imports of goods and services, clean energy use, ICT, and economic growth on carbon emissions in Africa is scanty and mixed. This paper investigated the impacts of information and communication technologies, renewable energy consumption, import and economic growth on carbon emissions by using rich data on total per capita carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, economic growth, import of goods and services, renewable energy consumption, fixed telephone subscriptions, mobile cellular subscriptions, and individuals using the internet in Africa (2001 ─ 2020) obtained from the World development indicators (WDI) database. Using the Panel autoregressive distributed lag model (PARDL), we found that mobile cellular subscriptions, and level of economic growth significantly increased per capita CO2 emissions in Africa in the long run while renewable energy consumption and technologies and import of goods and services significantly decreased per capita CO2 emissions in the long run. We conclude that information and communication technologies, level of economic growth, import of goods and services, and renewable energy consumption exert impacts on carbon emissions in Africa. This research investigated the impacts of information and communication technologies, renewable energy consumption, import and economic growth on carbon emissions in Africa. The Australian Government is asking Australians for their views on the existing telecommunications universal service obligation. Fifty years ago, that obligation was on Telecom (now Telstra) to provide payphones and a voice service that would best meet the social, industrial and commercial needs of all Australians who reasonably require those services, so far as it is reasonably practicable to do so. The obligation is still the same: the provision of payphones and voice telephony. If the universal service obligation is to have any continuing relevance in the Australian communications framework, however, it must reflect the social, industrial and commercial needs of Australians in 2024 and beyond. Research shows that Australians are using broadband services for a wide range of services in their lives: access to government services, health, finances, education, entertainment, and social and family connections. And for the large majority of Australians, that communication is by mobile telephony. A new definition of the service for all Australians must be upgraded to reflect how Australians now communicate. This paper introduces the current Brazilian DTV (Digital Television) scenario toward the next DTTB (Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting) system (named TV 3.0), the fixed Internet broadband scenario, as well the video scalability advantages of the new DTTB generation. Targeting to contribute with solutions for the new system, it is proposed to use video scalability and hybrid transmission to deliver UHD (Ultra High Definition) 4K video to the final user to enhance video quality and user experience. 2K video BL (Base Layer) is OTA (Over the Air) broadcasted using ROUTE (Real-Time Object Delivery Over Unidirectional Transport) protocol as a transport layer. In contrast, the UHD 4K EL (Enhancement Layer) is OTT (Over-The-Top) transmitted to the receiver via DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP - Hypertext Transfer Protocol) for synchronizing both layers. A hybrid receiver's architecture is proposed to receive and combine the BL and EL video contents. Video delivery latency is a challenge that video distributors should always be aware not to impact the user's experience. This article explores the patterns and consequences of transnational audiences' engagement with global media in the digital age, focusing on experiences in Africa. It examines Nigerians' interactions with the BBC World Service, and draws on active audience theory and Joseph Nye's soft power concept to unpick their complex relationship. Using documentary analysis, focus groups and individual interviews, the study unpacks how Nigerians deploy digital devices to engage with the BBC – and how the broadcaster leverages this to extend its influence. Identifying effective, feasible, low-cost interventions that promote sustainable lifestyle changes in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a key unmet need. The aim of this study was to assess predictors of lifestyle practice patterns of NAFLD patients and evaluate the implementation of a mobile technology-based intervention. We prospectively enrolled adults with NAFLD (diagnosed by imaging or biopsy). Individuals with additional liver diseases or decompensated cirrhosis were excluded. Patient were randomized to usual care or a FitBit based program for 6-months. We obtained anthropometrics, labs, vibration controlled transient elastography (VCTE), health-related quality of life (HRQOL), physical activity, diet and motivation to change data. 70 patients were enrolled, 33% with cirrhosis. Median age was 52.1 years, 47% males, 83% white, body mass index 32.3, liver stiffness 7.6 kPa, controlled attenuation parameter 319 db/m, and 50% had diabetes. Baseline HRQOL was 5.4/7 and independently negatively correlated with level of concern about their disease and positively with physical function. Younger age was independently associated with unhealthy diets whereas diabetes was independently associated with unhealthy diets and higher VCTE kPa. 6-month follow-up data available on 31 patients showed trends in improvement in weight. In a cohort of NAFLD patients, we identified independent correlates of lifestyle behaviors and HRQOL. Implementation of interventions that improve physical function may improve HRQOL in NAFLD. Younger patients and those with diabetes appeared to have the greatest need for dietary interventions. Structured mobile technology lifestyle interventions using Fitbit and personalized coaching showed promise but require further validation with a focus on sustainability of intervention and improvement in outcomes. The most challenging barrier to expanding connectivity of Internet to vehicle ad hoc networks is the necessity for vast proper infrastructure of roadside network. This need is problematic to meet, specifically in the early stages of vehicle network building & in zones with limited infrastructure of roadside. As a result, that solutions rely exclusively on roadside structure are unworkable. Other remedies, like cell phone networks / symmetrical communications via satellite, are also too expensive or do not deliver adequate connectivity, putting the change to a robust VANET difficulty in the later stages. We provide one method that supplements obtainable ones while avoiding the need for completely networked roadside infrastructure. To provide widespread Internet access, the approach employs satellite receive-only endpoints and a small number of (widely dispersed) wayside devices. With the popularization of digital finance in China, mobile payments have penetrated into all aspects of residents' daily life. However, few studies have examined the potential impact of mobile payments on people's happiness in China. Using the nationally representative data from the China Household Finance Survey (CHFS), this study adopts the ordered probit regression with endogenous treatment to adjust for possible endogeneity to assess the effect of mobile payments on residents' happiness. The results suggest an association between mobile payment usage and increases in happiness, which is supported by several robustness checks, such as using an alternative instrumental variable (IV), replacing the explained variable, and removing some extreme observations. In addition, we explore the mechanisms by which mobile payments affect residents' happiness from multiple perspectives. Positive mechanisms include promoting quality of life, reducing transaction costs, stimulating entrepreneurship, and increasing social interaction. However, as a non-cash payment method, mobile payments may also lead to over-consumption, which is detrimental to residents' happiness. Furthermore, the heterogeneous analysis shows inclusive attributes of mobile payments. We find mobile payments have a greater positive effect on happiness of some socially disadvantaged groups, such as elderly individuals, rural residents, the low-educated, and low-income households. These findings supplement the literature on online happiness and financial inclusion and refer to the possible negative impact of mobile payments. Therefore, it is necessary to actively promote mobile payments to benefit more socially vulnerable groups and prevent potential risks from over-consumption. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

I previously reported chromosomal damage in human peripheral blood lymphocytes (HPBLs) induced by: a) mobile telephony (MT) electromagnetic fields (EMFs)/electromagnetic radiation (EMR), b) a high caffeine dose, and c) the combination of the two stressors. HPBLs from the same subjects exposed to gamma radiation at doses 0.1, 0.3, or 0.5 Gy, displayed more aberrations than those exposed to MT EMFs or the high caffeine dose in a dose-dependent manner. When the cells exposed to these gamma radiation doses were pre-exposed to a single 15-min MT EMF exposure, the number of aberrations increased significantly more than the sum number of aberrations induced by the individual stressors in all subjects. Thus, MT EMF exposure at a power density ~136 times below the latest International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) exposure limit, apart from the fact that it is genotoxic by itself, significantly enhanced the genotoxic action of gamma radiation. Since gamma radiation at similar doses is applied for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, people should be aware of the increased risk during treatment periods. Comparison of the genotoxic action between MT EMF and gamma radiation shows that the ICNIRP limits are, at least, ~4.5 x 104 times less stringent than the limits for gamma radiation. Mobile energy storage has the characteristics of strong flexibility, wide application, etc., with fixed energy storage can effectively deal with the future large-scale photovoltaic as well as electric vehicles and other fluctuating load access to the grid resulting in the imbalance of supply and demand. To this end, this paper proposes a coordinated two-layer optimization strategy for fixed and mobile energy storage that takes into account voltage offsets, in the context of improving the demand for local PV consumption. Among them, the upper layer optimization model takes into account the minimum operating cost of fixed and mobile energy storage, and the lower layer optimization model minimizes the voltage offset through the 24-h optimal scheduling of fixed and mobile energy storage in order to improve the in-situ PV consumption capacity. In addition, considering the multidimensional nonlinear characteristics of the model, the interaction force of particles in the Universe is introduced, and the hybrid particle swarm-gravitational search algorithm (PSO-GSA) is proposed to solve the model, which is a combination of the individual optimization of the particle swarm algorithm and the local search capability of the gravitational search algorithm, which improves the algorithm's optimization accuracy. An important element of modern telecommunications is wireless radio networks, which enable mobile subscribers to access wireless networks. The cell area is divided into independent sectors served by directional antennas. As the number of mobile network subscribers served by a single base station increases, the problem of interference related to the operation of the radio link increases. To minimize the disadvantages of omnidirectional antennas, base stations use antennas with directional radiation characteristics. This solution allows you to optimize the operating conditions of the mobile network in terms of reducing the impact of interference, better managing the frequency spectrum and improving the energy efficiency of the system. The work presents an adaptive antenna algorithm used in mobile telephony. The principle of operation of adaptive systems, the properties of their elements and the configurations in which they are used in practice are described. On this basis, an algorithm for controlling the radiation characteristics of adaptive antennas is presented. The control is carried out using a microprocessor system. The simulation model is described. An algorithm was developed based on the Mathcad mathematical program, and the simulation results of this algorithm, i.e., changes in radiation characteristics as a result of changing the mobile position of subscribers, were presented in the form of selected radiation characteristics charts. In the tough cell phone business, guessing phone- prices right is a key but hard job for new companies. Joining different types of info to look at stock prices may help, but we need strong ways to see how phone things and their costs tie together. This study wants to make stock price checking better in the cell phone business by using ways to join info. The work looks for strong ties between many phone things like memory, camera details, and screen size and how they affect the price. To fix this, very careful work was done to clean and fix the info. The Quadratic Discriminant Analysis rule- was then used, along with top classifiers, for saying what will happen. Our findings demonstrate the QDA model's ability to detect subtle patterns and nonlinear correlations in the mobile phone data set. The model's resilience and predictive ability are demonstrated through visualizations such as ROC AUC and Precision-Recall curves. Comparative analyses with current approaches highlight the higher performance of the suggested data fusion approach. The use of QDA in data fusion models demonstrates its versatility in capturing complicated interactions, resulting in nuanced insights into mobile phone price factors. This study adds an improved prediction framework for mobile phone price analysis, which is critical for new enterprises looking to gain a competitive advantage in the volatile mobile industry. The diffusion of innovation in the area of banking and certain financial services is a topic eagerly taken up in empirical research, but in the case of Poland the study of this phenomenon in the area of finance and banking that utilizes the econometric models in question is practically non-existent. This article attempts to fill this research gap to some extent. The main objective of the article is to present a comparative analysis of the rate of mobile technologies diffusion among 3 groups of enterprises in the financial and insurance sectors: banking and lending, insurance and reinsurance, and brokerage and other activities. The occurrence of diffusion of mobile technologies and its rate was studied with the help of a logistic function. Results show that in companies operating in the insurance industry, the phase of rapid growth of mobile innovation diffusion lasted longer than in other groups of enterprises, but the highest dynamics of mobile innovation diffusion in the first phase of this phenomenon was achieved by companies conducting brokerage and other activities. In this article, I am concerned with how female domestic workers use the mobile phone to expand employment opportunities in the shantytowns of urban Morocco. I examine how mobile telephony is a resource for human agency and action, not just a force for culture change. Second, I describe how mobile phone use has resulted in higher revenues by enlarging the circle of economic activity and by enabling supplementary informal income-generating possibilities. Third, I explore how the mobile phone has allowed them not only to generate more revenue but also to escape the stifling conditions of their workplace and renegotiate the gender politics of private-domestic space. Machine learning approaches have been used for the automatic detection of Parkinson's disease with voice recordings being the most used data type due to the simple and non-invasive nature of acquiring such data. Although voice recordings captured via telephone or mobile devices allow much easier and wider access for data collection, current conflicting performance results limit their clinical applicability. This study has two novel contributions. First, we show the reliability of personal telephone-collected voice recordings of the sustained vowel /a/ in natural settings by collecting samples from 50 people with specialist-diagnosed Parkinson's disease and 50 healthy controls and applying machine learning classification with voice features related to phonation. Second, we utilize a novel application of a pre-trained convolutional neural network (Inception V3) with transfer learning to analyze the spectrograms of the sustained vowel from these samples. This approach considers speech intensity estimates across time and frequency scales rather than collapsing measurements across time. Due to the complexity and uncertainty of decision-making, probabilistic linguistic term sets (PLTSs) are currently important tools for qualitative evaluation of decision-makers. The asymmetry of evaluation information can easily lead to the loss of subjective preference information for decision-makers, and the existing operation of decision-maker evaluation information fusion operators is difficult to solve this problem. To solve such problems, this paper proposes some new operational methods for PLTSs based on Dombi T-conorm and T-norm. Considering the interrelationships between the input independent variables of PLTSs, the probabilistic linguistic weighted Dombi Bonferroni mean Power average (PLWDBMPA) operators are extended and the properties of these aggregation operators are proposed. Secondly, the PLWDBMPA operator is used to fuse the evaluation information of decision-makers, avoiding the loss of decision information as much as possible. This paper uses social media platforms and web crawler technology to obtain online comments from users on decision-making to obtain the public's attitude towards decision events. TF-IDF and Word2Vec are used to calculate the weight of alternatives on each attribute. Under traditional group decision-making methods and integrating the wisdom of the public, a novel multi-attribute group decision-making method based on TODIM method is proposed. Finally, the case study of Turkey earthquake shelter selection proves this method is scientific and effective. We present novel evidence from a large panel of UK consumers who receive personalized reminders from a specialist price-comparison website about the precise amount they could save by switching to their best-suited alternative mobile telephony plan. We document three phenomena. First, even self-registered consumers with positive savings exhibit inertia. Second, we show that being informed about potential savings has a positive and significant effect on switching. Third, controlling for savings, the effect of incurring overage payments is significant and similar in magnitude to the effect of savings: paying an amount that exceeds the recurrent monthly fee weighs more on the switching decision than being informed that one can save that same amount by switching to a less inclusive plan. We interpret this asymmetric reaction on switching behavior as potential evidence of loss aversion. In other words, when facing complex and recurrent tariff plan choices, consumers care about savings but also seem to be willing to pay upfront fees in order to get "peace of mind". Even though there are high and growing levels of penetration of mobile telephony in South Africa, there is little research into how mobiles are used in romantic relationships to 'keep tabs' on partners and inter alia into how those involved in such relationships may be attempting to achieve and maintain privacy. Using the relational dialectical framework, I study how surveillance and privacy related power dynamics are played out in romantic relationships of a selected undergraduate student cohort at a South African University (n=182). The dialectical framework provides the appropriate empirical lens for investigating how romantic partners deal with the need to stay both private and public in the wake of instant messaging application WhatsApp. The study sought to understand how adolescents in these romantic relationships deal with mobile privacy conflicts that are brought on by perpetual contact through WhatsApp. Through a quantitative survey, purposive sampling with a confidence level of 95 per cent and 5 per cent margin of error was utilized in selecting the respondents. Exploratory factor and regression analysis shows that rules for managing WhatsApp communication are important for romantic relationship well-being (SD=1.434), albeit not necessarily linked to relational satisfaction. As urbanization accelerates, traffic congestion in cities has become a problem. Therefore, accurately identifying urban residents' travel patterns is crucial for urban traffic planning and intelligent transportation systems. In this study, a convolutional neural network (CNN) approach based on multichannel feature extraction using mobile phone signaling data to identify user travel modes is proposed. Here, a trajectory generation method was designed for five types of travel modes. By designing a spatiotemporal threshold screening method, anomalies were identified and processed, combined with the feature analysis method, key points in the signaling extracted, the travel trajectory sliced, and travel sub-trajectory data generated. Next, in the travel mode identification stage, road network information was introduced to improve localization accuracy, and the method for calculating feature values improved. A user travel feature dataset was generated by calculating the feature values, and the travel modes represented by each class were classified and recognized based on the CNN method. Satisfactory results were achieved through experiments using mobile phone signaling and field research data in Kunming, China. The experimental results showed that analysis based on mobile phone signaling data could classify, identify, and obtain different travel category modes. This method's accuracy was 84.7%. The method provided a feasible way of identifying travel patterns in the context of smart cities and big data, providing strong support for urban transport planning and management, and has the potential for wider application. This paper considers the process of dynamic reservation of the channel resource of a secure corporate multi-service communication network. It has been established that the processes of building and functioning of the schemes of a secure corporate multi-service communication network and improving the quality of the implementation of its main work processes involve the evaluation and dynamic reservation of channel resources for incoming aggregated data flows of the network. The model of dynamic reservation of the channel resource of the aggregated data stream of the secure corporate multi-service communication network was built and proposed. The proposed model makes it possible to set the quantitative values of the reserved channel resource for different service methods depending on the number of component flows in the total aggregated data flow of the VPN tunnel. It was established that an increase in the density of the aggregated data stream requires an increase in the reserved channel resource. At the same time, its value is influenced by the way of servicing the aggregated data flow in the VPN tunnel of the secure corporate multi-service communication network. Application of the isolated service method gives a gain in the allocated resource for the channel reserve from 10 to 20 percent compared to the group service method for IR and video telephony. This is due to the more flexible management process of the border router's incoming data storage buffer under the isolated service mode. The model of dynamic reservation of the channel resource of the secure corporate multi-service communication network reported in this paper could be used in the improvement of existing and development of new structures of the secure corporate multi-service communication network. In a cellular network, direct Device-to-Device (D2D) communication enhances Quality of Service (QoS) in terms of coverage, throughput and amount of power consumed. Since theD2D pairs involve cellular resources for communication, the chances of interference are high. D2D communications demand minimum interference along with maximum throughput and sum rate which can be achieved by employing optimal resources and efficient power allocation procedures. In this research, a hybrid optimization model called Genetic Algorithm-Adaptive Bat Optimization (GA-ABO) algorithm is proposed for efficient resource allocation in a cellular network with D2D communication. Simulation analysis demonstrates that the proposed model involves reduced interference with maximum sum rate and throughput. The performance of the proposed model is compared with the existing Ant Colony Optimization-based resource exchange and GAME (ACO-GAME) theory models, Trader-assistedResource EXchange mechanism-RadioAccess Network (TREX-RAN) and De-centralized Radio Access Network (TREXDRAN), and greedy CYcle-Complete preferences (CYC) models. Precision crop load management of apple requires counting fruiting structures at various times during the year to guide management decisions. The objective of the current study was to evaluate the accuracy of and compare different commercial computer vision systems and computer applications to estimate trunk cross-sectional area (TCSA), flower cluster number, thinning efficacy, and yield estimation. These studies evaluated two companies that offer different vision systems in a series of trials across 23 orchards in four states. Orchard Robotics uses a proprietary camera system, and Pometa (previously Farm Vision) uses a cell phone camera system. The cultivars used in the trials were 'NY1', 'NY2', 'Empire', 'Granny Smith', 'Gala', 'Fuji', and 'Honeycrisp'. TCSA and flowering were evaluated with the Orchard Robotics camera in full rows. Flowering, fruit set, and yield estimation were evaluated with Pometa. Both systems were compared with manual measurements. Our results showed a positive linear correlation between the TCSA with the Orchard Robotics vision system and manual measurements, but the vision system underestimated the TCSA in comparison with the manual measurements (R2s between 0.5 and 0.79). Both vision systems showed a positive linear correlation between nubers of flowers and manual counts (R2s between 0.5 and 0.95). Thinning efficacy predictions (in June) were evaluated using the fruit growth rate model, by comparing manual measurements and the MaluSim computer app with the computer vision system of Pometa. Both systems showed accurate predictions when the numbers of fruits at harvest were lower than 200 fruit/tree, but our results suggest that, when the numbers of fruits at harvest were higher than 200 fruit/tree, both methods overestimated final fruit numbers per tree when compared with final fruit numbers at harvest (R2s 0.67 with both systems). Yield estimation was evaluated just before harvest (August) with the Pometa system. Yield estimation was accurate when fruit numbers were fewer than 75 fruit per tree, but, when the numbers of fruit at harvest were higher than 75 fruit per tree, the Pometa vision system underestimated the final yield (R2 = 0.67). Our results concluded that the Pometa system using a smartphone offered advantages such as low cost, quick access, simple operation, and accurate precision. The Orchard Robotics vision system with an advanced camera system provided more detailed and accurate information in terms of geo-referenced information for individual trees. Both vision systems evaluated are still in early development and have the potential to provide important information for orchard managers to improve crop load management decisions. The research aimed to critically examine the technological risks and social mobilization that resulted from the installation of 4.5G mobile phone antenna technologies in Comuna 6, northeast Colombia, during the covid-19 health emergency. The citizens' views on the dangers of the technology to their health were taken into consideration. The findings, which were based on a qualitative technique, showed that the citizens linked the antennas with the generation of negative external forces, as inevitable evils, and with only benefit generators from a more technical determinism standpoint. The debate on technological coupling in society took the form of a reflective discourse that laid the foundation for absorbing uncertainty that resulted from misinformation and post-truth views regarding the relationship between covid-19 and the new 5G cell phone network. This study takes as its analytic topic the identification of different sequentially organized phenomena endemic to initiation of reason-for-the call action in Farsi mobile calls. Using Conversation Analysis, through fine-grained analysis of participants' observable orientation to the formulation of the reason for the call, it documents the trajectory of talk and the sequential phenomena associated with the statement of the reason for Farsi mobile phone calls. The findings suggest callers routinely perform the task of warranting their calls either by overtly announcing the reason, using the discourse marker of 'migam' (I meant to say) and its permutations or non-overtly, by positioning the reason for initiating the contact in anchor position, enabling their co-participants to pinpoint the warrant prompting the call out of various things said by callers and to relevantly respond to it. Frequency planning is one of the most expensive aspects of deploying a cellular network. If a set of base stations can be deployed with minimal service and planning, the cost of both deploying and maintaining the network will decrease. To ensure that the scarce frequency is utilized to its maximum, planning and optimization are done. This is also carried out to ensure that there is high efficiency in cellular radio systems and little or minimum interference due to co-channeling. This paper focuses on coming up with an automatic way of planning and optimizing the frequency in the cellular network. The approach replaces the inefficient, inaccurate and tedious manual approach. The automatic approach simplifies work for the radio frequency(RF) engineers and also reduces the cost of operation. The automatic approach ensures that the cellular network is extensively deployed in a way that criteria of maximum quality, quantity and good coverage are met. The paper focuses on coming up with an automatic planning and optimization algorithm that minimizes the intra-system interference levels to reasonable ranges within the key performance indicators (KPIs) defined for any acceptable cellular network. Its most diverse possibilities also bring with it some prerequisites for installation, as well as development needs in the area of information security to guarantee the sustainability of its operation. Applied to industrial environments, 5G is able to bring benefits in the safety of people and equipment, optimization of workflows, prediction of failures in production chains, among other possibilities. In this paper we present the development of two simulations that demonstrate the importance of the relationship between the inclusion process and the teaching of Physics. The simulations were designed so that their use, in the classroom or as a complementary form of study, would favor inclusive education. The innovation of these simulations is related to the capture of some data directly by the cell phone, that is, the simulation work using the cell phone as a virtual laboratory, while presenting the experimental behavior and explaining the physical processes. This work presents the creation and use of simulations and the importance of study and research in inclusive education not only for future teachers, but for students from any area of knowledge, since a culture of respect and inclusion must be experienced at any time in school and in the society. Milk producer organisations (MPOs) are empowering milk producers with appropriate technical knowledge and skills. But, the intangible services such as knowledge provision through extension and advisory services (EAS) have been less valued by cooperatives and also by the dairy farmers. In this context, a study was carried out to know the status of extension and advisory services provided by MPOs in terms of satisfaction of milk producers in Andhra Pradesh. Ex-post-facto research design was followed to study 180 milk producers who were selected from the three renowned milk producer organisations existing in Andhra Pradesh. The study revealed that majority of respondents were middle aged, illiterate, male, belong to open category and were members of co-operatives since years. Most of the milk producers were satisfied and partly satisfied with extension services, whereas milk producers in majority satisfied with advisory services from MPOs. However, it was found that MPOs were not making use of electronic and digital technologies for EAS. It is recommended that MPOs can make use of ICT tools such as television, mobile telephony for rendering timely extension advisory services to the member producers towards sustainable production. People who are overweight and obese suffer from significant health impacts that have increased globally. Concurrently, usage of information and communication devices such as television and mobile phones have also been growing, affecting people's weight. This study examined the association between watching television and owning a mobile phone with overweight and obesity among reproductive-aged women in low- and lower-middle-income countries (LLMICs). Data of 21 LLMICs reported between 2015 and 2020 were collected from the Demographic and Health Surveys. Multivariate logistic regression was performed to determine the association into three pooled segments: a group of 21 countries, the World Bank income classification and the regional categorisation of the countries. The all-inclusive prevalence of overweight or obesity was found at 27.1% among 175,370 reproductive-aged women, and this prevalence varied among countries. Overall, the odds of being overweight or obese were 1.20 (adjusted odds ratio [AOR]=1.20, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.15–1.24), 1.40 (AOR=1.40, 95% CI: 1.35–1.44) and 1.18 (AOR=1.18, 95% CI: 1.03–1.35) times higher among those who watched television less than once a week, at least once a week and almost every day, respectively, compared with those who did not watch television. Besides, women's mobile phone ownership is more likely to experience overweight or obesity (AOR=1.72, 95% CI: 1.67–1.77). Consistent results were found for the countries categorised according to the World Bank income and regional classification. Focus on sedentary behaviour, such as television watching and mobile phone use, of women and regional or country-specific innovative strategies and programs are of great immediate importance to decrease the prevalence of overweight and obesity.
