The purpose of this retrospective study was to examine the use of virtual visits (telemedicine) at our cancer rehabilitation outpatient clinics from March 2020 to August 2021, when virtual visits became morewidely available, and to identify any demographic and clinical variables making patients more likely to favor virtual over in-person visits. There were 3971 outpatient encounters (2020 virtual and 1951 inperson visits from a total of 1638 patients) in our cancer rehabilitation outpatient clinics during this time frame. Significant findings in both the univariate and multivariate analyses were race (P < 0.001 and P = 0.006, respectively), cancer type (P < 0.001 for both), and distance to the clinic (P < 0.001 for both). Our research showed that virtual visits were accepted by patientswith cancer, and that younger age (62 compared to 65), non-White race/ethnicity, solid tumor, and shorter distance to the clinic were associated with a preference for virtual over in-person visits. OBJECTIVES: To determine the effects of music intervention on quality of life, anxiety, and fatigue among patients with breast cancer. SAMPLE & SETTING: 170 individuals from the general surgery unit of Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. METHODS & VARIABLES: Individuals who had received a mastectomy were randomly assigned to a treatment group or control group. In the treatment group, participants received music intervention for an hour each week, totaling 12 hours during 12 consecutive weeks. The primary variable was quality of life, and secondary variables were anxiety and fatigue. RESULTS: Greater quality of life was seen in the treatment group at 12 weeks. In the treatment group, participants showed significant improvement in State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (trait), which was most significant at eight weeks. No statistically significant difference was observed in fatigue levels after 4, 8, and 12 weeks of music intervention. IMPLICATIONS FOR NURSING: Music intervention may improve anxiety and quality of life of patients with breast cancer. Importance: Occupational therapy practitioners play an important role in addressing the impairments, occupational performance, and participation needs of adults living with and beyond cancer. Objective: These Practice Guidelines aim to assist occupational therapy practitioners, educators, and researchers in applying evidence and expert opinion to occupational therapy practice across the cancer continuum of care, including identifying gaps in care. Key focus areas include psychosocial function, fatigue, cognition, pain, sleep, and physical activity. These guidelines can serve as a reference for policymakers, health care professionals, health care managers, regulators, third-party payers, and managed care organizations to manage, reimburse, and set policy. Method: We examined, synthesized, and integrated the results of systematic reviews, supporting literature, and expert opinion to develop and provide clinical recommendations for practice in the care of adults living with and beyond cancer. Results: Sixteen systematic reviews with moderate to strong strength of evidence published between 2019 and 2022 served as the foundation for these Practice Guidelines. Conclusions and Recommendations: To support symptom management for adults living with and beyond cancer, occupational therapy practitioners can consider using psychosocial interventions for anxiety, depression, posttraumatic growth, and overall psychological distress. Practitioners can consider using physical activity interventions for cancer-related fatigue, cognitive performance, and sleep. Practitioners could also consider using interventions for cognition, pain management, and self-management for the improvement of cancer-related symptoms. Plain-Language Summary: These Practice Guidelines provide strong and moderate levels of evidence for occupational therapy practitioners to support adults living with and beyond cancer. They provide specific guidance for addressing pain, cancer-related fatigue, cancer-related cognitive impairments, psychosocial well-being, sleep, and physical activity. Introduction: Physical rehabilitation is increasingly incorporated throughout the allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant journey for older adults. Objective: This study aimed to describe physical medicine and rehabilitation-related diagnoses, exercise barriers, and management recommendations for older adults before allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant. Design: Fifty physical medicine and rehabilitation consults as part of the Enhanced Recovery-Stem Cell Transplant multidisciplinary prehabilitation program at a comprehensive cancer center were retrospectively reviewed. Results: Many physical medicine and rehabilitation-related diagnoses (173), exercise barriers (55), and management recommendations (112) were found. Common diagnoseswere musculoskeletal dysfunction (more commonly back, shoulder, then knee) (n = 39, 23%) and fatigue (n = 36, 21%). Common exercise barriers were also musculoskeletal dysfunction (more commonly back, knee, then shoulder) (total n = 20, 36%) and fatigue (n = 20, 36%). Most patients (n = 32, 64%) had one or more exercise barriers. Common physical medicine and rehabilitation management recommendations were personalized exercise counseling (n = 37, 33%), personalized nutrition management (n = 19, 17%), body composition recommendations (n = 17, 15%), medications (n = 15, 13%), and orthotics and durable medical equipment (n = 8, 7%). Conclusions: Routine physical medicine and rehabilitation referral of older allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant patients for prehabilitation resulted in the identification of many rehabilitative needs and substantial additional management recommendations. Increased early, collaborative prehabilitation efforts between physical medicine and rehabilitation and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant teams to optimize care for these patients is recommended. Purpose: We sought to evaluate physicians' baseline knowledge of fertility preservation services available to patients with a cancer diagnosis within the military health system (MHS). Methods: Data on current cancer prevalence of over 31,000 unique cancer diagnoses were obtained from a comprehensive nationwide MHS dataset. Additionally, a 22-item survey was distributed to physicians practicing within the MHS assessing knowledge of reproductive health benefits, oncofertility counseling practices, and subspecialist referral patterns. Results: From 2020 to 2022, there were 31,103 individuals of reproductive age with cancer receiving care at a military treatment facility. One hundred fourteen physicians completed our survey, 76 obstetrician gynecologists (OB/GYNs), 18 oncologists, and 20 primary care physicians (PCPs). Ninety-three percent of respondents felt conversations about fertility preservation for reproductive-aged patients with cancer were very important. A total of 66.7% of oncologists, 35.5% of OB/GYNs, and 0% of PCPs felt comfortable counseling patients on coverage. A total of 33.3% of oncologists, 29.3% of OB/GYNs, and 0% of PCPs were familiar with oncofertility Defense Health Agency guidelines. Conclusion: Primary care, OB/GYN, and oncology practitioners are well situated to provide fertility preservation counseling to all individuals with a cancer diagnosis, but differences in counseling and referral patterns and a lack of knowledge of current agency policies may impair a patient's timely access to these resources. We propose implementation of an electronic patient navigator to address gaps in oncofertility care and standardize patient counseling in the MHS. Background: Older breast cancer survivors (BCS, age ≥ 65) are vulnerable to experiencing persistent symptoms and associated declines in health‐related quality of life (HRQOL). In research trials, cancer rehabilitation interventions (physical or occupational therapy, PT/OT) have been shown to enhance HRQOL, but the impact of community‐based PT/OT services for older BCS is unknown. We performed a retrospective, observational study to better understand the impact of PT/OT services on the HRQOL of older BCS. Methods: Outcomes and covariates were extracted from the outpatient rehabilitation medical record. HRQOL outcomes included: PROMIS® global physical health (GPH), global mental health (GMH), physical function (PF), and ability to participate in social roles and activities (SRA). Linear mixed‐effect models were used to examine change in HRQOL outcomes and explore the influence of patient age and service type (PT/OT). ICD‐10 codes were examined and compared between service types to describe the impairments treated. Results: PT/OT cases (N = 694) were 71.79 ± 5.44 years old and participated in a median of 11 visits (IQR: 7.0–17.25) over 9.71 weeks (IQR: 6.29–15.29). Most (84.4%) attended PT (n = 579; 84%) versus OT (n = 115; 16%). Overall, significant improvement was observed in each HRQOL outcome (GPH: +3.00, p < 0.001; GMH: +1.80, p < 0.001; PF: +1.97, p < 0.001; SRA: +2.34, p < 0.001). Service type influenced only GPH (p = 0.041); mean improvement was +3.24 (SE: 0.290, p < 0.001) for PT cases and + 1.78 for OT cases (SE: 0.651, p = 0.007). PT cases commonly received treatment for weakness/atrophy, pain, walking, and posture; OT cases commonly received treatment for lymphedema and scarring/fibrosis. No age effects were observed. Conclusions: In this large study of older BCS who participated in community‐based PT/OT services across the United States, we observed significant improvements in HRQOL outcomes that are important to older BCS and their providers. Background: More than 50% of colorectal cancer(CRC) patients experience cancer-related psychological burden after radical surgery, which can seriously affect their physical wellness, quality of life and even survival outcomes. Our research team developed a six-week Traditional Chinese Medicine Combined Online Group Psychotherapy (TCM-eRhab) and proved its efficacy on relieving cancer-related anxiety, depression and fear of cancer recurrence though phase I single arm clinical trial (n = 40). Large sample size randomized controlled clinical trial(RCT) is necessary to further evaluate TCM-eRhab's role on improving quality of life and survival outcomes among this population. Methods: We design a phase II RCT study, in which 210 CRC patients who have received radical surgery (stage I-III) will be recruited. Eligible patients will be randomly assigned to TCM-eRhab group or usual care group by 2:1 ratio. Patients in the intervention group will receive the structured TCM-eRhab program for six weeks, while patients in control group will receive usual care only. The primary outcomes are quality of life, severity of anxiety, depression and fear of cancer recurrence. Cancer recurrence rate will also be calculated according to long term follow-up data. Discussion: As one of the first RCTs to evaluate the impacts of TCM combined psychological therapy to improve CRC patients' quality of life after surgery, the results from this study will provide innovative knowledge and evidence on integrating TCM into CRC survivorship care and mind–body intervention model. Background: Palliative rehabilitation amalgamates the principles of palliative care and rehabilitation to enhance patients' quality of life by optimizing physical function and maximizing autonomy despite advancing illness. Alongside providing non-pharmacological symptom management, it emphasizes personalized goal-setting tailored to individual needs. This case illustrates the transformative impact targeted physiotherapy interventions can have on patients' physical function, morale and motivation in spite of their expected deterioration. Case presentation: An 85-year-old male with angioimmunoblastic T cell lymphoma was admitted to home hospice care. He was referred for physiotherapy to optimize his function and mobility despite his short prognosis. A conversation guide was used throughout the duration of therapy to identify personal goals, prescribe and review the use of appropriate interventions, and discuss future therapeutic plans. Within a month he achieved his functional goals, experienced reduced physical dependency, and had increased satisfaction in his ability to participate more actively in self-care. This also resulted in significant improvements in his confidence, mood, and overall well-being. Engaging the patient actively in his care and management journey provided him with significant motivation and hope. Conclusion: The case study highlights the vital role of physiotherapists in facilitating transparent communication among patients, healthcare providers, and caregivers throughout palliative rehabilitation. Through open dialogue and utilizing conversation guides, physiotherapists help understand patient preferences, goals, and motivation. Background: Patient reported outcomes (PROs) are being used frequently in clinical practice. PROs often serve several purposes, such as increasing patient involvement, assessing health status, and monitoring and improving the quality-of-care at an aggregated level. However, the lack of representative PRO-data may have implications for all these purposes. This study aims to assess the association of non-administration of (not sending an electronic invite to PRO) and non-response to (not responding to PRO) electronically administered PROs with social inequality in a primary healthcare cancer rehabilitation setting. Furthermore, it examines whether the workflows surrounding PRO have an impact on non-administration and non-response. Methods: This is a cross sectional study using routinely collected data from electronic health records and registers including cancer survivors (CSs) over 18 years booked for an initial consultation in a primary healthcare cancer rehabilitation setting using PROs for systematic health status assessment. During the study period two different PRO platforms were used, each associated with different workflows. Non-administration and non-response rates were calculated for sociodemographic characteristics for each PRO platform. Crude and adjusted odds ratios were calculated using univariate and multivariate logistic regression. Results: In total, 1868 (platform 1) and 1446 (platform 2) CSCSs were booked for an initial consultation. Of these, 233 (12.5%) (platform 1) and 283 (19.6%) (platform 2) were not sent a PRO (non-administration). Among those who received a PRO, 157 (9.6%) on platform 1 and 140 (12.0%) on platform 2 did not respond (non-response). Non-administration of and non-response to PROs were significantly associated with lower socioeconomic status. Moreover, the workflows surrounding PROs seem to have an impact on non-inclusion in and non-response to PROs. Conclusions: Non-administration of and non-response to PROs in clinical practice is associated with determinants of social inequality. Clinical workflows and the PRO platforms used may potentially worsen this inequality. It is important to consider these implications when using PROs at both the individual and aggregated levels. Objective: Explore the feasibility of a mobile health(mHealth) and virtual reality (VR) based nutrition-exercise-psychology integrated rehabilitation model in Chinese cancer patients. Methods: We recruited cancer patients in the Oncology department of the Affiliated Changzhou No. 2 People's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from October 2022 to April 2023. The rehabilitation program was provided by a team of medical oncologists, dietitians, psychotherapists, and oncology specialist nurses. Participants received standard anti-cancer therapy and integrated intervention including hospitalized group-based exercise classes, at-home physical activity prescription, behavior change education, oral nutrition supplements, and psychological counseling. An effective intervention course includes two consecutive hospitalization and two periods of home-based rehabilitation (8 weeks). Access the feasibility as well as changes in aspects of physical, nutritional, and psychological status. Results: At the cutoff date of April 2023, the recruitment rate was 75% (123/165). 11.4%patients were lost to follow-up, and 3.25% withdrew halfway. Respectively, the completion rate of nutrition, exercise, and psychology were 85%,55%, and 63%. Nutrition interventions show the highest compliance. The parameters in nutrition, psychology, muscle mass, and quality of life after the rehabilitation showed significant improvements (P <.05). There was no significant statistical difference (P >.05) in handgrip strength and 6-minute walking speed. Conclusion: It is feasible to conduct mHealth and VR-based nutrition-exercise-psychology integrated rehabilitation model in Chinese cancer patients. To evaluate the implementation of telephone consultations to assess cancer patients' needs for rehabilitation, with focus on patients' acceptance, health professionals' experience and contextual factors. A mixed methods process evaluation was conducted at a primary healthcare rehabilitation clinic. Cancer survivors above 18 years of age with an unclarified rehabilitation need at discharge from hospital, was offered a telephone consultation provided by health professionals. Data on implementation and acceptability were collected using medical records systems, data collection forms and semi-structured interviews with six patients and two health professionals. Eighty-one cancer survivors were referred to the intervention, and 54% continued to further rehabilitation. The telephone consultations were executed approximately eight days after referral and took on average 44 min to deliver. Overall, the patients found that the telephone consultation addressed what they considered the most important topics, and the health professionals found the intervention to be acceptable. Both patients and health professionals reported challenges regarding the referral process. Patient acceptance of the intervention was high, and the telephone consultation was implemented to a high degree, resulting in more than half of the patients continuing to further rehabilitation. Clinical exercise delivery in the United Kingdom is disparate in terms of service structure, staff roles and qualifications, therefore it is difficult to evaluate and compare across services. Our aim was to explore, in a purposely selected cancer exercise service that was recognised as effective; (i) how staff knowledge, skills and competencies contribute to the provision of the service, (ii) how these components assist in creating effective services, and (iii) to identify existing challenges from staff and service user perspectives. The Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research was used as an overarching guide to review the Prehab4Cancer service. Exercise specialists and service user perspectives were explored using a multi-method approach (online semi-structured interviews, online focus group and in-person observation) and data triangulation. Exercise specialists were educated to a minimum of undergraduate degree level with extensive cancer-specific knowledge and skills, equivalent to that of a Registration Council for Exercise Physiologist (RCCP) Clinical Exercise Physiologist. Workplace experience was essential for exercise specialist development in behaviour change and communications skills. Staff should be educated to a level comparable with the standards for registered RCCP Clinical Exercise Physiologists, which includes workplace experience to develop knowledge, skills and competencies in real-world settings. Cancer services Clinical exercise staff should attain extensive cancer-specific knowledge, skills and competencies, underpinned by undergraduate degrees in sport and exercise science-related subjects or higher and equivalent to that of Registration Council for Exercise Physiologist -registered Clinical Exercise Workplace experience is vital for exercise specialists to develop their knowledge, skills and competencies in real-world settings. Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is unrelenting. As neither rest nor sleep ameliorates cognitive, emotional, and physical symptoms, quality of life is diminished. This study examines resistance training (RT) effectiveness on CRF in cancer survivors. The secondary aims were to identify the dose-response relationship of RT frequency, intensity, and volume on CRF in different cancer survivor populations. Systematic searches via numerous databases for RCTs were performed in June 2022. Patient-reported outcome measures (PROM), were analysed, pre-to-post intervention, using a random-effects model. The Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) scale informed methodological quality assessment. Eight studies were included (cancer survivors: breast (BCS) = 5; endometrial (ECS) = 1; prostate (PCS) = 2). Overall, RT interventions ≥ 6 weeks elicited large significant reductions in CRF for FACIT-F (SMD = 0.932, p = <0.001) and moderate significant reductions in CRF for PFS-R (SMD = −0.622, p = 0.004). Main findings indicate that RT ameliorates CRF, especially in BCS; however, individualised approaches should be advocated. Supervised training elicited the greatest positive outcomes, thus should be a pivotal part of the cancer rehabilitation pathway. Future studies should be adequately powered, undertake discrete analyses of different cancer types, and investigate chronic RT effects. Background: Palliative care schemes, which include pain management, symptom control, psychosocial support and rehabilitation, aim to boost patients' quality of life, ease the burden and anxiety of informal caregivers, and ultimately provide a comprehensive approach to enhance well-being during this challenging and sensitive period. This study aims to evaluate the impact of a comprehensive rehabilitation palliative care program on the quality of life of patients with terminal cancer and their informal caregivers. Methods: This quasi-experimental study, conducted from August 2023 to January 2024 at outpatient clinics affiliated with the Oncology Center at Mansoura University, Egypt, focused on cancer patients and their caregivers in the palliative care department. Employing pre- and post-test phases, data were gathered using a questionnaire, EORTC QLQ C30, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, Short Form Health Survey, Caregiver Burden Inventory, and Beck Anxiety Inventory. The investigation evaluated a 16-week rehabilitation program comprising exercise, psychoeducation, individual counselling, and spiritual support. Exercises, led by a physiotherapist, targeted fatigue and stress through tailored aerobic and resistance training. Psychoeducation sessions aimed to bolster coping abilities, covering fatigue management and nutrition. Trained counsellors addressed spiritual and existential concerns. Personal advisory sessions were available for individual support. Caregivers received education on rehabilitation and palliative care protocols, ensuring comprehensive patient care. Results: The mean age for cancer patients was 65.79 ± 13.85. In contrast, the mean age for primary carers was 42.05 ± 11.15. The QOL for cancer patients during the pre-test phase was 77.8 ± 7.16 and rose to 87.34 ± 14.56 during the post-test phase. Additionally, the total anxiety level of patients before the rehabilitation palliative care program was conducted was 15.45 ± 3.05 compared to 6.12 ± 3.21 after the post test phase. Furthermore, the total depression levels of the patients during the pre-test phase were 20.89 ± 9.21. However, after implementing the rehabilitation palliative care program, it decreased to 15.5 ± 6.86. In regards to the total quality of life of informal caregivers, it was measured at 67.28 ± 32.09 before conducting the program. Nevertheless, it increased to 25.95 ± 40.29 after conducting it. Additionally, the total Caregiver Burden Inventory before implementing the program was 37.45 ± 25.7, and it decreased to 29.36 ± 16.4 after conducting it. Additionally, the total score on the Beck Anxiety Inventory decreased from 45.7 ± 4.3 during the initial testing phase to 17.35 ± 23.67. Conclusion: The program for rehabilitation palliative care successfully achieved its goals by enhancing the overall quality of life for cancer patients and their caregivers. Additionally, it reduced the anxiety and depression levels among the patients, as well as the anxiety and caregiver burden among the caregivers. Simple Summary: This is the first study to examine the impact of specialized community-based outpatient physical and occupational therapy on the health-related quality of life of cancer survivors with various cancers. Survivors who completed PT/OT reported significant improvements in physical and mental health, physical function, and social participation. Although more research is needed, these findings suggest cancer rehabilitation is an important strategy to meet HRQOL needs and lends support for inclusion as a standard of care. Compared to adults without cancer, cancer survivors report poorer health-related quality of life (HRQOL), which is associated with negative treatment outcomes and increased healthcare use. Cancer-specialized physical and occupational therapy (PT/OT) could optimize HRQOL; however, the impact among survivors with non-breast malignancies is unknown. This retrospective (2020–2022), observational, study of medical record data of 12 cancer types, examined pre/post-HRQOL among cancer survivors who completed PT/OT. PROMIS® HRQOL measures: Global Health (physical [GPH] and mental [GMH]), Physical Function (PF), and Ability to Participate in Social Roles and Activities (SRA) were evaluated using linear mixed effect models by cancer type, then compared to the minimal important change (MIC, 2 points). Survivors were 65.44 ± 12.84 years old (range: 19–91), male (54%), with a median of 12 visits. Improvements in GPH were significant (p < 0.05) for all cancer types and all achieved MIC. Improvements in GMH were significant for 11/12 cancer types and 8/12 achieved MIC. Improvements in PF were significant for all cancer types and all achieved the MIC. Improvements in SRA were significant for all cancer types and all groups achieved the MIC. Esophageal carcinoma is one of the most common digestive tract malignancies and poses a serious health threat to patients. This study discussed the influence of stepwise nutrition management and comprehensive nursing on esophageal carcinoma patients, which can shed light on the future clinical treatment of esophageal carcinoma. A total of 107 esophageal carcinoma patients admitted to our hospital between July 2022 and June 2023 were divided into a control group (n = 54) that received conventional care and an experimental group (n = 53) that received stepwise nutrition management along with comprehensive care. The postoperative rehabilitation time and clinical efficacy of the two groups were statistically analyzed, and differences in nutritional status and physical fitness before and after care were determined. The results showed that the experimental group had a faster first postoperative anal exhaust, bowel movement, ambulation, and anastomotic healing time than the control group (P < 0.05). No marked intergroup difference was identified in the overall response rate (P > 0.05). In addition, better nutritional status and physical fitness were observed in the experimental group than in the control group (P < 0.05). The experimental group exhibited a lower incidence of adverse reactions (P < 0.05) than the control group. Background: Although exercise has been shown to improve cancer survivorship in other communities, cancer exercise studies among Native American communities are rare. We sought to adapt a Navajo-tailored cancer exercise pilot program to serve a broader Native American cancer community. Methods: Tribal experts representing 10 different Tribal Nations were engaged in small focus groups (n = 2–4) to assess program materials for cultural appropriateness and adaptation to expand tribal inclusiveness. Facilitated by a trained Native American interviewer, focus groups were provided a primer survey and then reviewed intervention materials (protocols, incentives, logo, flyers, etc.). Consensus was reached by the research team on all program adaptations. Results: The program name, Restoring Balance, layout, graphics, and symbols were considered culturally appropriate overall. Program exercises and biomarker measurements were viewed as valuable to health improvements in the community. Important color, linguistic, and logistic program modifications were recommended to improve cultural alignment. The order of incentive items was revised to highlight restoration and the logo rotated to align with the four corners of the earth, an important cultural element. Linguistic modifications primarily related to prior traumatic research experiences in Native American communities where data had been taken without adequate community benefit or permission. Program emphasis should be on nurturing, added value and giving. Conclusion and Relevance: The methodology used for cultural expert review was successful in eliciting adaptations to expand the tribal inclusiveness of Restoring Balance. Leisure-time physical activity (LTPA) can be beneficial for individuals with advanced cancer, but little is known on how to tailor rehabilitation strategies targeting LTPA in cancer care. Our objective was to explore perspectives and experiences of LTPA in people with stage 4 cancer. Guided by interpretive-description methodology, our qualitative study consisted of individual, semi-structured interviews with 20 Canadian adults diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Interviews were transcribed verbatim and analyzed inductively. The participants' median age was 51.5 (range, 35-73) years. Cancer types included breast (n = 12), lung (n = 4), and other (n = 4). Participants highlighted their experiences of LTPA as diverse and complex, impacted by individual and cancer-related factors. They emphasized being intentional with LTPA through activity planning and modification. LTPA participation was linked to physical well-being, social connections, and meanings of accomplishment and loss. Many participants desired personalized support related to LTPA, that is integrated, interprofessional, and accessible in cancer care. The experiences of LTPA for people with stage 4 cancer are personal and connected to health and psychosocial meanings. Further efforts in rehabilitation are needed to address the challenges faced by people with advanced cancer and optimize safe, meaningful participation in LTPA. Experiences of leisure-time physical activity in individuals with stage 4 cancer are personal and linked to health benefits and psychosocial meanings. Activity participation frequently involves consideration of cancer-related symptoms, management of risks, and intentional planning and modification of activities. To comprehensively evaluate the effect of accelerated rehabilitation surgical care on perioperative wound infections and complications in patients undergoing lung cancer surgery. A comprehensive computerised search for randomised controlled trials (RCTs) of accelerated rehabilitative surgical care applied to patients undergoing lung cancer surgery was conducted using the Web of Science, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, Wanfang and China National Knowledge Infrastructure databases from inception to September 2023. The literature was screened and evaluated by two investigators, and data were extracted from the final included literature. Stata software (version 17.0) was used for data analysis. Overall, 21 RCTs involving 2187 patients were included, including 1093 cases in the accelerated rehabilitation surgical care group and 1094 cases in the conventional care group. The analyses revealed that patients with lung cancer surgery who implemented accelerated rehabilitation surgical care were significantly less likely to develop postoperative wound infections (odds ratio [OR] = 0.29, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.17–0.49, p < 0.001) and postoperative complications (OR = 0.26, 95% CI: 0.20–0.34, p < 0.001) and shortened the hospital length of stay (standardised mean differences [SMD] = −1.93, 95% CI: −2.32 to −1.53, and p < 0.001) compared with conventional care. The effect of accelerated rehabilitation surgical care intervention in the perioperative period of lung cancer surgery patients is remarkable, as it can effectively reduce the incidence of wound infection and complications, shorten hospitalisation time and promote patient recovery. Despite curative treatment and discharge from acute hospital settings, breast cancer patients often have cancer- and treatment-related morbidity which impairs them from returning to work. Hence, the role of community-based return to work rehabilitation programs is important to help these patients transition back to work. This was a retrospective cohort study involving patients with breast cancer conducted at a community-based cancer rehabilitation center. Patients were involved in an interdisciplinary vocational rehabilitation program involving physiatrists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and social workers. We recruited 63 patients for this study cohort, with 46 (73.0%) patients ≤ 60 years old. After undergoing the rehabilitation program, there were 37 (58.7%) participants who successfully returned to work. These participants returned to work at either within 6 months (27.0%), 12 months (29.7%) or 24 months (43.2%) after enrollment into the program, with a majority enrolling in white collar jobs. Multivariate regression analysis revealed that significant negative factors for return to work were advanced stage of cancer (p = 0.004), along with clinically significant fatigue, measured on the Brief Fatigue Inventory (p < 0.001). Cancer patients undergoing major interventions face numerous challenges, including the adverse effects of cancer and the side effects of treatment. Cancer rehabilitation is vital in ensuring cancer patients have the support they need to maximise treatment outcomes and minimise treatment-related side effects and symptoms. The Active Together service is a multi-modal rehabilitation service designed to address critical support gaps for cancer patients. The service is located and provided in Sheffield, UK, an area with higher cancer incidence and mortality rates than the national average. The service aligns with local and regional cancer care objectives and aims to improve the clinical and quality-of-life outcomes of cancer patients by using lifestyle behaviour-change techniques to address their physical, nutritional, and psychological needs. Introduction The aim of this systematic review was to summarize the current literature on wearable technologies in oncology patients for the purpose of prognostication, treatment monitoring, and rehabilitation planning. Methods A search was conducted in Medline ALL, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Embase, Emcare, CINAHL, Scopus, and Web of Science, up until February 2022. Articles were included if they reported on consumer grade and/or non-commercial wearable devices in the setting of either prognostication, treatment monitoring or rehabilitation. Results We found 199 studies reporting on 18 513 patients suitable for inclusion. One hundred and eleven studies used wearable device data primarily for the purposes of rehabilitation, 68 for treatment monitoring, and 20 for prognostication. The most commonly-reported brands of wearable devices were ActiGraph (71 studies; 36%), Fitbit (37 studies; 19%), Garmin (13 studies; 7%), and ActivPAL (11 studies; 6%). Daily minutes of physical activity were measured in 121 studies (61%), and daily step counts were measured in 93 studies (47%). Adherence was reported in 86 studies, and ranged from 40% to 100%; of these, 63 (74%) reported adherence in excess of 80%. Conclusion Wearable devices may provide valuable data for the purposes of treatment monitoring, prognostication, and rehabilitation. Background: Given limited yoga research in health disparities populations, we developed and evaluated a 12-week Spanish language yoga program for Latiné women with overweight or obesity affected by cancer. The program aimed to empower participants through culturally tailored yoga practice and opportunities for social connection and support. Methods: Partnering with a community-based organization, the program was co-created by bilingual (English and Spanish-speaking) yoga instructors, Latiné cancer survivor support professionals, and integrative medicine researchers. The single arm intervention consisted of 12 separate, 60-minute Hatha yoga classes, including physical postures, breathing exercises, culturally relevant poetry, and post-practice socialization opportunities. Measures were administered at baseline, 12-week, and 24-week. Results: Thirty-five eligible participants enrolled in the program, demonstrating high feasibility and relevance as well as high levels of engagement in home practice. Some participants faced barriers to regular home practice, including family responsibilities and concerns about proper pose execution. Preliminary outcome analyses indicated improvements in sleep disturbance, pain interference, depression, and blood pressure post-intervention, with sustained improvements in depression, anxiety, and blood pressure at 24-week. No significant changes were observed in fatigue, physical function, positive affect, satisfaction with social roles and activities, and weight. Structured post-practice social snack time with yoga instructors (compared with unstructured time with peers) was associated with self-reported improvements in satisfaction with social roles and activities and weight loss. Conclusion: This yoga program successfully engaged female Latiné cancer survivors with overweight and obesity and serves as a foundational step in empowering this population to improve their health and well-being through culturally tailored yoga practice. Cancer patients are recommended to exercise at all stages of disease given the multiple health and functional benefits of physical activity. Certain safety precautions, including a preparticipation medical evaluation and periodic re-evaluations, should be undertaken before creating an exercise program based on individual cancer and treatment history. When designing an exercise program, physiatrists should use similar principles of frequency, intensity, timing, and type for cancer patients that are used for noncancer patients. Special attention to risks of cardiac and pulmonary disease along with risks of sarcopenia, thrombocytopenia, anemia, neutropenia, fracture risk, neurotoxicity, lymphedema, and metastases should be made. This article will outline these specific risks and necessary modifications to the exercise prescription for cancer patients that can be used to enable safe participation in recommended exercise. The neurologic, oncologic, mechanical and systemic disease framework gives comprehensive guidance to providers regarding appropriate management. Physiatrists play a critical role in these patients' initial evaluation and continued management throughout cancer treatment. Patients with spinal cord involvement have extensive needs, requiring an individualized management approach. Even though patients with nontraumatic spinal cord injury benefit from rehabilitation efforts and have improved outcomes, they are not routinely admitted to inpatient rehabilitation units or referred to outpatient cancer rehabilitation. An evolved model of comprehensive cancer care is needed that begins at cancer diagnosis to proactively manage cancer treatment toxicities and optimize patient health, function, and well-being. Building new care models requires connecting oncology, primary care, and specialized clinicians from many disciplines including cancer rehabilitation. Having a vision for an evolved standard of comprehensive cancer care is a requirement, but it is not enough to bring an innovative clinical program to life and sustain it over the long term. To inform the development of new clinical programs, two example programs are presented that successfully integrate cancer rehabilitation services along with details of a three-step process these programs used to facilitate their success and build robust business models that ensure their sustainability. Following the roadmap for growth presented here, gaining input from stakeholders and ensuring their buy-in, leveraging existing programmatic priorities, as well as developing a strategic growth plan can help clinical innovators ensure that new programs anticipate and continually meet the needs of oncology, primary care, subspecialty care, and programs, while addressing the business needs of administrators and improving the experience for patients. Background: Reconstructions of the proximal femur after massive resections represent one of the main challenges in orthopedic oncology. Among the possible treatments, megaprostheses represent one of the most used and reliable reconstructive approaches. Although literature about their outcomes has flourished through the last decades, a consensus rehabilitative treatment is still far from being established. Materials and methods: We evaluated the functional results of all our oncologic cases treated between 2016 and 2022 that could follow our standardized post-operative rehabilitative approach, consisting in progressive hip mobilization and early weight-bearing. Results: Twenty-two cases were included in our study. On average, their hospitalization lasted 15.1 days. The seated position was achieved on average within 3.7 days after surgery, the standing position reached 5.4 after surgery, while assisted deambulation was started 6.4 days after surgery. After a mean post-operative follow-up of 44.0 months, our patients' mean MSTS score was 23.2 (10–30). Our data suggested a statistically significant inverse linear correlation between post-operative functionality and patients' age, resection length, and the start of deambulation. Conclusions: A correct rehabilitation, focused on early mobilization and progressive weight-bearing, is crucial to maximize patients' post-operative functional outcomes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This conceptual review aimed to provide an overview of the evidence regarding the effect of acute exercise on peripheral and neuronal inflammation, immune function, and the neuroendocrine system in the context of cancer. Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is a prevalent and persistent issue affecting cancer patients, with a broad impact on their quality of life even years after treatment completion. The precise mechanisms underlying CRF remain elusive, yet its multifaceted nature involves emotional, physical, and cognitive dimensions. The absence of effective medical treatments has prompted researchers to explore integrative models for potential insights. Notably, physical exercise emerges as a promising strategy for managing CRF and related symptoms, as studies showed a reduction in CRF ranging from 19% to 40%. Current recommendations highlight aerobic training at moderate intensity as beneficial, although questions about a dose–response relationship and the importance of exercise intensity persist. Despite the positive impact of exercise on CRF, the underlying mechanisms remain elusive. This review aims to provide a theoretical model explaining how aerobic exercise may alleviate CRF. Focusing on acute exercise effects, this review delves into the potential influence on peripheral and neural inflammation, immune function dysregulation, and neuroendocrine system disruptions. Inpatient rehabilitation is common in Germany to improve return-to-work outcomes. The objective of this systematic scoping review was to identify factors associated with return-to-work outcomes in musculoskeletal, psychological and oncological health conditions to improve tailoring of rehabilitation therapies. A search was completed in Embase, Medline, PsycInfo and AMED until May 2023 for articles investigating inpatient rehabilitation including working-age patients with oncological, musculoskeletal, or psychological diseases using a quantitative design and reporting factors associated with return-to-work outcomes. Screening of all titles and abstracts was completed by one reviewer, full texts were read by two reviewers. Quality appraisal and data extraction was completed by two reviewers. Data was analysed using a narrative synthesis. Eighteen studies of moderate quality were included. The review identified a wide range of return-to-work parameters including employment status, work ability, sickness absence, retirement status and duration of employment since rehabilitation. In addition, 48 psychological, health- and work-related factors associated with return-to-work parameters were identified. Only one RCT investigated the relationship between a depression prevention intervention and a return-to-work outcome (work ability), which showed a significant effect. In addition to the depression prevention intervention, only the factor 'health literacy' could be considered modifiable and be addressed as part of an inpatient rehabilitation programme. Furthermore, gradual work reintegration programs and/or workplace interventions in addition to inpatient rehabilitation should be further explored to improve return-to-work outcomes. Background: Studies have shown that cancer survivors experience difficulties maintaining physical activity levels after participation in a supervised exercise rehabilitation program. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of a six-month remote coaching intervention, following a supervised exercise oncology rehabilitation program on maintenance of PA levels; and improvement of aerobic capacity, muscle strength and patient-reported outcomes in cancer survivors. Methods: Ninety-seven participants from a Dutch University Hospital's exercise rehabilitation program were randomised to the COACH group (n = 46), receiving 6 months of remote coaching after completing the exercise program, or the CONTROL group (n = 50), receiving no additional intervention. Assessment of PA levels; sedentary time; aerobic capacity; muscle strength; fatigue; health-related quality of life (HRQoL); level of anxiety and depression; and return to work (RTW) rates were conducted at baseline (T0) and six months later (T1). Multiple linear regression was used for between-group statistical comparisons of all outcomes measures. Mean differences at T1 were estimated with corresponding 95% confidence intervals (95%CI). Results: No significant between-group differences were observed for all outcomes at T1. An adjusted mean difference in weekly PA of 45 min (95%CI -50;140) was observed between the COACH group and the CONTROL group, favouring the COACH group, yet lacking statistical or clinical significance. Conclusions: Our six-month remote coaching intervention did not notably improve PA levels; sedentary time; aerobic capacity; muscle strength; HRQoL; fatigue; anxiety and depression symptoms and RTW rates after participation in a supervised exercise oncology program. Although the participants who received coaching showed slightly higher levels of PA, these differences were not significant. More research is needed to identify patients in need for follow-up interventions following supervised exercise program and to investigate the effectiveness of remote coaching interventions in these patients. Background and Purpose: Physiotherapy is gaining a central role in oncology. However, the training and competencies needed by physiotherapists in oncology rehabilitation are still unclear. This study aims to articulate the training trajectory of physiotherapists in oncology rehabilitation from entry‐level education to advanced education degrees. Methods: Qualitative focus group study following a 'Reflexive Thematic Analysis' for data analysis. Participants were Italian physiotherapists with expertise in Oncology Rehabilitation (either clinically or academically) and Physiotherapy Bachelor of Science (BSc) course leaders, selected through purposive sampling. Results: Two focus groups were conducted with 14 participants. Six themes were developed: 1. 'Entry‐Level Education in Oncology Rehabilitation: Let's Have a Taste', as the BSc introduces oncology rehabilitation. 2. 'Basic Knowledge: Building up the Library' as students acquire basic knowledge on oncology rehabilitation during their BSc; 3. 'Learning by Experience: The Relevance of the Placement' to answer the question "Is this the right road for me?"; 4. 'Clinical Reasoning and Competencies in Oncology Rehabilitation Embedded in Uncertainty' because oncology physiotherapists need to deal with the uncertainty of their patients' status; 5. 'Advanced Education Degree Skills: from Appetiser to the Main Course', as advanced education degree courses allow for becoming an expert in the field; 6. 'A Call to Action for Physiotherapists: Prevention—Diagnosis—Survivorship & End of Life', to realise their critical role in all the phases of the oncology path. Conclusions: The BSc in Physiotherapy provides a foundation for future physiotherapists to understand oncology rehabilitation, but advanced education is necessary for expertise. There is a paucity of literature on the effect of COVID-19 on hospital processes. We hypothesized that COVID-19 was associated with decreased cancer physiatry referrals in 2020. This is a retrospective cohort study of consecutive patients from April to July 2019 and 2020 admitted at an academic quaternary cancer center. The main outcomes were number of hospital admissions, rate, and characteristics of inpatient rehabilitation admissions and change in percentage of physiatry referrals as the primary endpoint. Results showed that in 2019, there were 387 referrals from 10,274 inpatient admissions (3.8%; 95% confidence interval, 2.4–4.2), compared with 337 referrals from 7051 admissions in 2020 (4.8%; 95% confidence interval, 4.3–5.3, P = 0.001). Hematology services referred more patients than neurosurgery in 2020 (20.4% vs. 31.4%; 48.2% vs. 26.5%, P = 0.01). Discharge disposition reflected an increased frequency of return to acute care service in 2020 (10.2% vs. 21.8%, P = 0.03). In conclusion, there was an increase in the rate of physiatry referrals despite a decrease in hospital admissions. Simple Summary: After getting treated for colorectal cancer, many people feel fatigue, stress, and pain and face other challenges that can make daily activities and work tough. Our research explored how these issues group together and if they are connected to fatigue and difficulties in work. We gathered data from the MIRANDA study, where patients shared their experiences after colorectal cancer treatment before the start of the rehabilitation and three months after. Using data from their questionnaire responses, we identified six main problem groups: fatigue, digestive troubles, pain, feelings of stress or anxiety, urinary issues, and side effects from chemotherapy. Our findings reveal that experiencing even a single symptom from these categories can be a precursor to feeling more fatigued or having a decreased ability to work. Our findings shed light on colorectal cancer survivors' various challenges and how they might impact their daily lives and work. In colorectal cancer (CRC) patients, apart from fatigue, psychological and physical symptoms often converge, affecting their quality of life and ability to work. Our objective was to ascertain symptom clusters within a year following CRC treatment and their longitudinal association with persistent fatigue and reduced work ability at the 3-month follow-up. We used data from MIRANDA, a multicenter cohort study enrolling adult CRC patients who are starting a 3-week in-patient rehabilitation within a year post-curative CRC treatment. Participants completed questionnaires evaluating symptoms at the start of rehabilitation (baseline) and after three months. We performed an exploratory factor analysis to analyze the clustering of symptoms at baseline. Longitudinal analysis was performed using a multivariable linear regression model with dichotomized symptoms at baseline as independent variables, and the change in fatigue and ability to work from baseline to 3-month-follow-up as separate outcomes, adjusted for covariates. We identified six symptom clusters: fatigue, gastrointestinal symptoms, pain, psychosocial symptoms, urinary symptoms, and chemotherapy side effects. At least one symptom from each factor was associated with higher fatigue or reduced ability to work at the 3-month follow-up. This paper explores post-treatment experiences of women who have had radiotherapy for gynaecological cancer. Drawing on data from a project which explored post-treatment wellbeing, conceptual metaphors of ghosts/haunting are used to engage with enduring legacies of cancer and 'neglected matters' in post-treatment trajectories. Current arrangements of care contribute to the idea that participants are 'out of the other side of cancer' once active treatment completes. Despite broader ambitions for holistic cancer rehabilitation, fragilities of body and mind persist, even when the outward representation is one of health, of looking well, of moving on. We show how neglected matters of cancer (visceral late effects, psychological suffering and lives not lived) are part of living with and beyond cancer. These 'ghosts' manifest in chronic states of unsettledness that are temporarily relieved by individualised 'fixes', such as mobilisation of 'mind over matter' discourse and mindfulness. This discourse and its associated tools are a powerful yet impoverished framing of approaches to living with and beyond cancer. BACKGROUND: People with advanced cancer constitute an emerging vocational rehabilitation (VR) consumer population. OBJECTIVE: Following an overview of the nature and needs of Americans who have advanced forms of cancer, the authors present strategies to meet the service and support needs of these individuals across the phases of the VR process. METHODS: The authors present the sequential stages of the VR process, including implications for working with advanced cancer survivors during each stage. RESULTS: The importance of individualized case planning, employer consultation, workplace accommodations, interface with medical and mental health professionals, and adherence to self-care and symptom management regimens is emphasized throughout the article. CONCLUSION: Growing numbers of people worldwide are surviving advanced cancers for longer periods of time than ever before, which makes them an emerging disability population and rehabilitation clientele. Aim: To systematically review and synthesize the findings of qualitative research on the unmet rehabilitation needs of colorectal cancer survivors (CRC) after surgery. Design: A qualitative meta‐synthesis registered with PROSPERO (CRD42022368837). Methods: CNKI, Wanfang Data, PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Cochrane, Medline, PsychINFO and CINAHL were systematically searched for qualitative studies on the rehabilitation needs of CRC survivors after surgery from the inception of each database to September 2022. Results: A total of 917 relevant reports were initially collected and 14 studies were finally included. A total of 49 needs were extracted and divided into 15 categories in 6 integrated findings: (1) the need to adopt healthy eating habits; (2) the need for exercise motivation and exercise guidance; (3) the conflicting needs to return to work; (4) unaddressed physiological needs; (5) spiritual needs; (6) the need for multi‐dimensional social support. Objective: This study aimed to explore the efficacy of different exercise therapies in reducing fatigue in patients with breast cancer. Design: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, China Biology Medicine, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Database of Chinese Sci-tech Periodicals, and Wanfang databases were searched from their inception to March 2022. The authors independently screened all randomized controlled trials of exercise therapy in patients with breast cancer. A network meta-analysis was performed using Stata 16.0 software. Results: Seventy-eight studies were analyzed, with 167 comparisons and 6235 patients. The network results showed that stretching (standardized mean difference = -0.74, confidence interval = -1.43 to -0.06), yoga (standardized mean difference = -0.49, confidence interval = -0.75 to -0.22), combined exercise (standardized mean difference = -0.47, confidence interval = -0.70 to -0.24), aerobic exercise (standardized mean difference = -0.46, confidence interval = -0.66 to -0.26), and resistance exercise (standardized mean difference = -0.42, confidence interval = -0.77 to -0.08) significantly reduced fatigue. Pairwise comparisons confirmed that yoga, combined exercise, aerobic exercise, and resistance exercise were positively associated with fatigue relief. However, no significant association was identified between reduced fatigue and traditional Chinese exercises or stretching. Conclusions: The most effective exercise therapy to relieve cancer-related fatigue in patients with breast cancer was yoga, followed by combined aerobic and resistance exercises. Purpose: Identifying the evidence found in the international scientific literature, referring to the concept of rehabilitation in the setting of oncologic palliative care. Methods: Integrative literature review based on articles published in indexed journals on the electronic databases: LILACS, CINAHL and PubMed/MEDLINE, WEB OF SCIENCE, OTSEEKER and PEDRO, following the PRISMA criteria. The quantitative articles were evaluated using the McMaster form for quantitative studies and the qualitative studies were assessed by the Critical Appraisal Skills Program. The studies were inserted in the RayyanTM application. Results: The final sample was composed of 21 qualitative and quantitative articles published in the period from 2004 to 2021, in nine different countries. Three thematic units were defined addressing the interface between palliative care and rehabilitation, the concept of palliative rehabilitation and the barriers to its implementation. The quality of the articles reviewed varied from 31% to 100% of the criteria met. Conclusion: The international scientific production reinforces the importance of including rehabilitation in care in oncologic palliative care, highlighting the concept of palliative rehabilitation, but there is a need for expanding and divulging new research on the theme and the results. Background: Rehabilitation that supports the individual on the journey back to their usual selves after cancer treatment becomes increasingly important. Studies have shown that a focus on the connection between body and mind might be beneficial. Consequently, Whole Person Care and initiatives that fall in line with this holistic approach to health care, such as a dance‐like intervention needs further examination. The aim of this study was to explore the qualitative aspects of 5Rhythms® as experienced by people diagnosed with cancer. Method: A total of 29 (17 in 2017) participants were recruited through purposeful sampling. Participants underwent one 5Rhythms® session per week for 2 months. This qualitative study with a phenomenological approach used diaries and individual interviews as its methods for data collection. Data were analysed using Giorgi's phenomenological framework and Maurice Merleau‐Ponty's theoretical perspectives on phenomenological approaches to the body, perception and consciousness were applied. Results: Three main themes ('(now) I sense my entire body', 'Something liberating is happening inside my body' and 'We travel together') and five connecting sub‐themes were identified through the analysis process. Conclusion: Participating in 5Rhythms® contributed to reconnecting body and soul during or after battling cancer. It evoked thoughts and feelings of existential matter. Results suggest that participating in 5Rhythms® can assist in personal growth. The benefit of being among peers while on the path to recovery was also illuminated. Prehabilitation and rehabilitation will be essential services in an ageing population to support patients with cancer to live well through their life spans. Active Together is a novel evidence-based service embedded within existing healthcare pathways in an innovative collaboration between health, academic, and charity organisations. Designed to improve outcomes for cancer patients and reduce the demand on healthcare resources, it offers physical, nutritional, and psychological prehabilitation and rehabilitation support to patients undergoing cancer treatment. The service is underpinned by behaviour change theories and an individualised and personalised approach to care, addressing the health inequalities that might come about through age, poverty, ethnicity, or culture. Meeting the challenge of delivering high-quality services across multiple stakeholders, while addressing the complexity of patient need, has required skilled leadership, flexibility, and innovation. To support patients equally, regardless of geography or demographics, future services will need to be scaled regionally and be available in locations amenable to the populations they serve. To deliver these services across wide geographic regions, involving multiple providers and complex patient pathways, will require a systems approach. This means embracing and addressing the complexity of the contexts within which these services are delivered, to ensure efficient, high-quality provision of care, while supporting staff well-being and meeting the needs of patients. Clear reporting of cancer rehabilitation interventions is critical for interpreting and translating research into clinical practice. This study sought to examine the completeness of intervention reporting of cancer rehabilitation interventions addressing disability and to identify which elements are most frequently missing. This was a secondary analysis of randomized controlled trials included in two systematic reviews examining effectiveness of cancer rehabilitation interventions that address cancer-related disability, including functional outcomes. Eligible trials were reviewed for intervention reporting rigor using the Criteria for Reporting the Development and Evaluation of Complex Interventions in Healthcare 2 checklist. Intervention descriptions for cancer rehabilitation interventions were generally incomplete. Approximately 85% (n = 157) of trials described ≤50% of Criteria for Reporting the Development and Evaluation of Complex Interventions in Healthcare 2 checklist items. Commonly underreported items included description of the intervention’s underlying theoretical basis, fidelity, description of process evaluation or external conditions influencing intervention delivery, and costs or required resources for intervention delivery. The findings reveal that cancer rehabilitation intervention descriptions lacked necessary detail in this body of literature. Poor descriptions limit the translation of research to clinical practice. To ensure higher-quality study design and reporting, future intervention research should incorporate an intervention reporting checklist to ensure more complete descriptions for research and practice.
