Background Liver transplantation (LT) is an effective treatment for patients with end-stage liver disease caused by auto-immune hepatitis (AIH). However, diagnosis of AIH can be challenging for patients with end-stage liver disease at the time of transplantation. We classified patients into “probable” or “definite” AIH groups, using the diagnostic criteria of the International Autoimmune Hepatitis Group, and compared the clinical outcomes of AIH after LT in these 2 groups. Methods We performed a retrospective study of 18 patients who were diagnosed with AIH and underwent LT from March 2003 to March 2015 at a single institute. Of the 18 patients, 8 were diagnosed with definite AIH and 10 were diagnosed with probable AIH, according to the international scoring criteria. We evaluated the patient characteristics, recurrence rate, graft loss, and survival rates after LT. Results The mean follow-up duration was 59.3 months. Age, sex, medical condition at transplantation, warm ischemic time, cold ischemic time, and Model for End-Stage Liver Disease score did not differ significantly between the 2 groups. No patient died after LT in either group, but 1 patient in the definite AIH group had graft failure. In Kaplan-Meier analysis, the 5-year recurrence rates of the definite and probable groups were 14.3% and 0%, respectively (P = .992). Conclusions The recurrence of definite AIH appeared to be higher than that of probable AIH. However, careful immunosuppressive therapy allowed the long-term survival of both definite and probable AIH patients after LT.

This thesis is the result of conducting an analysis to find the solution to the phenomenon of power stoppage due to the disconnection of a CT (Current Transformer) because of vibration. The CT which measures the most essential current is used in power industries as part of a generator protection relay. When it comes to the bottom plate of a CT, nonconductor; such as bakelite and laminates; these material elements should be used because it is impossible to utilize the conductor when measuring the current of a generator which carries a high current if you use other materials. These nonconductor`s material properties are irregular and interpretation errors often occur because the weight is light. In addition, since the change of dynamic characteristics which are related to the temperature often occur, it is important to match the real situation by considering an error of interpretation rather than selecting the quality of the material. Lastly, the conclusion that the study drew is that it is possible to avoid the resonance by utilizing three changes to the components to solve the problem concerning the high vibration which is caused by non-conductive objects. These changes are the most crucial points in this thesis: First, material changes to the Plate. Second, weight changes to the Coil. Third, thickness changes to the Plate.

The second amendment to ‘German Rugulations on Consumer Goods’ states that azo dyestuffs, which can release one or more of the listed 20 carcinogenic amines, should no longer be used in dyeing consumer goods. Many acid and direct dyes which liberate harmful amines such as benzidine, o-tolidine and o-dianisidine after reduction are, however, still use. In this study, it was surprising to find that some dyestuffs or dyed substrates released carcinogenic amines such as 4-amino-diphenyl, 2-naphthylamine, 2,4-toluenediamine and 4,4′-diaminodiphenyl-methane, although such amines had not been employed as intermediates in the manufacture of the dyestuffs. Benzidine was also detected from a dyestuff which was not made from benzidine. The 2-naphthylamine residues were sourced as being due to the use of 1-naphthylamine contaminated with 2-naphthylamine. 4-Aminodiphenyl was formed by dediazoniation and a subsequent coupling reaction between the benzenediazonium ion and aniline. Benzidine was derived from dediazoniation and a subsequent self-coupling reaction of the diazonium ion of 4-nitroaniline. 2,4-Toluenediamine and 4,4′-diaminodiphenylmethane arose from the alkaline hydrolysis of the readily accessible moiety of the corresponding base units in PU foams or PU finishing agents.

Brillouin scattering experiments have been performed on a series of 12 independently grown crystals of γ-oxygen. The hypersonic velocities, near the triple point, are almost independent of crystal orientation. Preliminary values of the adiabatic elastic constants at the triple point are c11 = 2.57, c12 = 2.01, and c44 = 0.28 (in units of 1010 dyn cm−2).
