Abstract: Abstract The full data set of the Daya Bay reactor neutrino experiment is used to probe the effect of the charged current non-standard interactions (CC-NSI) on neutrino oscillation experiments. Two different approaches are applied and constraints on the corresponding CC-NSI parameters are obtained with the neutrino flux taken from the Huber-Mueller model with a 5% uncertainty. For the quantum mechanics-based approach (QM-NSI), the constraints on the CC-NSI parameters ϵ eα and ϵ eα s $$ {\epsilon}_{e\alpha}^s $$ are extracted with and without the assumption that the effects of the new physics are the same in the production and detection processes, respectively. The approach based on the weak effective field theory (WEFT-NSI) deals with four types of CC-NSI represented by the parameters [ε X ] eα . For both approaches, the results for the CC-NSI parameters are shown for cases with various fixed values of the CC-NSI and the Dirac CP-violating phases, and when they are allowed to vary freely. We find that constraints on the QM-NSI parameters ϵ eα and ϵ eα s $$ {\epsilon}_{e\alpha}^s $$ from the Daya Bay experiment alone can reach the order O $$ \mathcal{O} $$ (0.01) for the former and O $$ \mathcal{O} $$ (0.1) for the latter, while for WEFT-NSI parameters [ε X ] eα , we obtain O $$ \mathcal{O} $$ (0.1) for both cases.

2. Effects of fermented soybean meal with Bacillus velezensis, Lactobacillus spp. or their combination on broiler performance, gut antioxidant activity and microflora

Abstract: Objective A series of experiment were conducted to evaluate the effects of replacing a part of soybean meal (SBM) at 6% of broiler diets with fermented soybean meal (FSBM) obtained by single or two-stage fermentation by measuring growth performance, antioxidant activity in the jejunum and distal intestinal microflora. Methods Soybean meal samples were prepared by single-stage fermentation using Bacillus velezensis (Bv) (FSBMB), or Lactobacillus spp. (as commercial control) (FSBML). Additional SBM sample was prepared by two-stage fermentation using Bv and subsequently using Lactobacillus brevis ATCC 367 (Lb) (FSBMB+L). Enzyme activity, chemical composition, trichloroethanoic acid-nitrogen solubility index (TCA-NSI) and antioxidant activity were measured. Then, in an in vivo study, 320 Ross308 broilers were divided into four groups with ad libitum supply of feed and water. Four groups were fed either a corn-soybean meal diet (SBM), or one of fermented SBM diets (FSBMB+L, FSBMB, and FSBML). Growth, serum characteristics, microflora, and the mRNA expression of selected genes were measured. 3. Structural and Mechanical Properties of Hemp Fibers: Effect of Progressive Removal of Hemicellulose and Lignin

Abstract: Hemicellulose and lignin were progressively removed from hemp fiber by hydrolysis. SEM, FTIR, XRD analysis and tensile properties evaluation on technical fibers were carried out to understand the structural and mechanical properties of hemp fibers. Significant influence of hemicellulose and lignin content on tensile properties was verified by ANOVA. The fiber tensile strength and initial modulus were decreased with the extensive removal of hemicellulose, along with a constant increasing of elongation at rupture. Torsion and expansion were observed in hemp fibers. It was suggested that the internal structure destruction and reorganization in the ultimate fiber cells was the main reason for the variation of mechanical properties when hemicellulose was gradually dissolved. On the other hand, fiber individualization was achieved by lignin removal and contributed to the elevation of fiber tensile properties. The elongation at break of the hemp fibers decreased slightly with the removal of lignin. NaClO2 solution treatment affected the fiber cells slightly, but effectively changed the properties of the middle lamella jointing between the ultimate fiber cells. The mechanical properties of the hemp fiber were mainly decided by the shearing between single fibers caused by the plastic-like deformation of the middle lamella.

Abstract: Abstract We present a search for the charged lepton-flavor-violating decays ϒ(1S) → ℓ ± ℓ′∓ and radiative charged lepton-flavour-violating decays ϒ(1S) → γ ℓ ± ℓ′∓ [ℓ,ℓ′ = e, μ, τ] using the 158 million ϒ(2S) sample collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB collider. This search uses ϒ(1S) mesons produced in ϒ(2S) → π + π − ϒ(1S) transitions. We do not find any significant signal, so we provide upper limits on the branching fractions at the 90% confidence level.

Abstract: Abstract We report a measurement of the electric dipole moment of the τ lepton (dτ) using an 833 fb −1 data sample collected near the Υ(4S) resonance, with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider. Using an optimal observable method, we obtain the real and imaginary parts of d τ as Re(d τ ) = (−0.62 ± 0.63) × 10 −17 ecm and Im(d τ ) = (−0.40 ± 0.32) × 10 −17 ecm, respectively. These results are consistent with null electric dipole moment at the present level of experimental sensitivity and improve the sensitivity by about a factor of three.

Abstract: Abstract Charged lepton flavor violation is forbidden in the Standard Model but possible in several new physics scenarios. In many of these models, the radiative decays τ ± → ℓ ± γ (ℓ = e, μ) are predicted to have a sizeable probability, making them particularly interesting channels to search at various experiments. An updated search via τ ± → ℓ ± γ using full data of the Belle experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 988 fb −1, is reported for charged lepton flavor violation. No significant excess over background predictions from the Standard Model is observed, and the upper limits on the branching fractions, B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ (τ ± → μ ± γ) ≤ 4.2 × 10 −8 and B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ (τ ± → e ± γ) ≤ 5.6 × 10 −8, are set at 90% confidence level.

Abstract: Abstract We measure the branching fractions and CP asymmetries for the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decays D 0 → π + π − η, D 0 → K + K − η, and D 0 → ϕη, using 980 fb −1 of data from the Belle experiment at the KEKB e + e − collider. We obtain B D 0 → π + π − η = 1.22 ± 0.02 stat ± 0.02 syst ± 0.03 B ref × 10 − 3 , B D 0 → K + K − η = 1.80 − 0.06 + 0.07 stat ± 0.04 syst ± 0.05 B ref × 10 − 4 , B D 0 → ϕη = 1.84 ± 0.09 stat ± 0.06 syst ± 0.05 B ref × 10 − 4 , $$ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to {\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[1.22\pm 0.02\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.02\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.03\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-3},\\ {}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[{1.80}_{-0.06}^{+0.07}\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.04\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.05\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-4},\\ {}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to \phi \eta \right)=\left[1.84\pm 0.09\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.06\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.05\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-4},\end{array}} $$ where the third uncertainty ( B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ ref) is from the uncertainty in the branching fraction of the reference mode D 0 → K − π + η. The color-suppressed decay D 0 → ϕη is observed for the first time, with very high significance. The results for the CP asymmetries are A CP D 0 π + π − η = 0.9 ± 1.2 stat ± 0.5 syst % , A CP D 0 → K + K − η = − 1.4 ± 3.3 stat ± 1.1 syst % , ACP D 0 → ϕη = − 1.9 ± 4.4 stat ± 0.6 syst % . $$ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}{A}_{CP}\left({D}^0\ {\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[0.9\pm 1.2\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.5\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%,\\ {}{A}_{CP}\left({D}^0\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[-1.4\pm 3.3\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 1.1\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%,\\ {} ACP\ \left({D}^0\to \phi \eta \right)=\left[-1.9\pm 4.4\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.6\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%.\end{array}} $$ The results for D 0 → π + π − η are a significant improvement over previous results. The branching fraction and A CP results for D 0 → K + K − η, and the ACP result for D 0 → ϕη, are the first such measurements. No evidence for CP violation is found in any of these decays.

Abstract: Abstract Using a data sample of 980 fb −1 collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider, we study the processes of Ξ c 0 → Λ K ¯ ∗ 0 $$ {\Xi}_c^0\to \Lambda {\overline{K}}^{\ast 0} $$ , Ξ c 0 → Σ 0 K ¯ ∗ 0 $$ {\Xi}_c^0\to {\Sigma}^0{\overline{K}}^{\ast 0} $$ , and Ξ c 0 → Σ + K ∗ − $$ {\Xi}_c^0\to {\Sigma}^{+}{K}^{\ast -} $$ for the first time. The asymmetry parameters α Ξ c 0 → Λ K ¯ ∗ 0 $$ \alpha \left({\Xi}_c^0\to \Lambda {\overline{K}}^{\ast 0}\right) $$ and α Ξ c 0 → Σ + K ∗ − $$ \alpha \left({\Xi}_c^0\to {\Sigma}^{+}{K}^{\ast -}\right) $$ are 0.15 ± 0.22(stat.) ± 0.04(syst.) and −0.52 ± 0.30(stat.) ± 0.02(syst.), respectively, where the uncertainties are statistical followed by systematic.

Abstract: Abstract We report the first measurement of the exclusive cross sections e + e − → B B ¯ $$ B\overline{B} $$ , e + e − → B B ¯ ∗ $$ B{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $$ , and e + e − → B ∗ B ¯ ∗ $$ {B}^{\ast }{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $$ in the energy range from 10.63 GeV to 11.02 GeV. The B mesons are fully reconstructed in a large number of hadronic final states and the three channels are identified using a beam-constrained-mass variable. The shapes of the exclusive cross sections show oscillatory behavior with several maxima and minima. The results are obtained using data collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider.

Abstract: Abstract We present a search for the dark photon A′ in the B 0 → A′A′ decays, where A′ subsequently decays to e + e − , μ + μ − , and π + π − . The search is performed by analyzing 772 × 106 B B ¯ $$ B\overline{B} $$ events collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB e + e − energy-asymmetric collider at the ϒ(4S) resonance. No signal is found in the dark photon mass range 0.01 GeV/c 2 ≤ m A′ ≤ 2.62 GeV/c 2, and we set upper limits of the branching fraction of B 0 → A′A′ at the 90% confidence level. The products of branching fractions, ℬ B 0 → A ′ A ′ × ℬ A ′ → e + e − 2 $$ \mathrm{\mathcal{B}}\left({B}^0\to A^{\prime }A^{\prime}\right)\times \mathrm{\mathcal{B}}{\left(A\prime \to {e}^{+}{e}^{-}\right)}^2 $$ and ℬ B 0 → A ′ A ′ × ℬ A ′ → μ + μ − 2 $$ \mathrm{\mathcal{B}}\left({B}^0\to A^{\prime }A^{\prime}\right)\times \mathrm{\mathcal{B}}{\left(A\prime \to {\mu}^{+}{\mu}^{-}\right)}^2 $$ , have limits of the order of 10 −8 depending on the A′ mass. Furthermore, considering A′ decay rate to each pair of charged particles, the upper limits of ℬ B 0 → A ′ A ′ $$ \mathrm{\mathcal{B}}\left({B}^0\to A^{\prime }A^{\prime}\right) $$ are of the order of 10 −8–10 −5. From the upper limits of ℬ B 0 → A ′ A ′ $$ \mathrm{\mathcal{B}}\left({B}^0\to A^{\prime }A^{\prime}\right) $$ , we obtain the Higgs portal coupling for each assumed dark photon and dark Higgs mass. The Higgs portal couplings are of the order of 10 −2–10 −1 at m h ′ ≃ m B 0 $$ {m}_{h\prime}\simeq {m}_{B^0} $$ ± 40 MeV/c 2 and 10 −1–1 at m h ′ ≃ m B 0 $$ {m}_{h\prime}\simeq {m}_{B^0} $$ ± 3 GeV/c 2.

Abstract: Abstract We present measurements of the branching fractions for the decays B → Kμ + μ − and B → Ke + e − , and their ratio (R K ), using a data sample of 711 fb −1 that contains 772 × 106 B B ¯ $$ B\overline{B} $$ events. The data were collected at the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider. The ratio R K is measured in five bins of dilepton invariant-mass-squared (q 2): q 2 ∈ (0.1, 4.0), (4.00, 8.12), (1.0, 6.0), (10.2, 12.8) and (> 14.18) GeV2 /c 4, along with the whole q 2 region. The R K value for q 2 ∈ (1.0, 6.0) GeV2 /c 4 is 1.03 − 0.24 + 0.28 $$ {1.03}_{-0.24}^{+0.28} $$ ± 0.01. The first and second uncertainties listed are statistical and systematic, respectively. All results for R K are consistent with Standard Model predictions. We also measure CP-averaged isospin asymmetries in the same q 2 bins. The results are consistent with a null asymmetry, with the largest difference of 2.6 standard deviations occurring for the q 2 ∈ (1.0, 6.0) GeV2 /c 4 bin in the mode with muon final states. The measured differential branching fractions, d ℬ $$ d\mathrm{\mathcal{B}} $$ /dq 2, are consistent with theoretical predictions for charged B decays, while the corresponding values are below the expectations for neutral B decays. We have also searched for lepton-flavor-violating B → Kμ ± e ∓ decays and set 90% confidence-level upper limits on the branching fraction in the range of 10 −8 for B + → K + μ ± e ∓, and B 0 → K 0 μ ± e ∓ modes.

Abstract: Abstract The first dedicated search for the η c2(1D) is carried out using the decays B + → η c2(1D)K +, B 0 → η c2(1D) K S 0 $$ {K}_S^0 $$ , B 0 → η c2(1D)π − K +, and B + → η c2(1D)π + K S 0 $$ {K}_S^0 $$ with η c2(1D) → h c γ. No significant signal is found. For the η c2(1D) mass range between 3795 and 3845 MeV/c 2, the branching-fraction upper limits are determined to be ℬ(B + → η c2(1D)K +) × ℬ(η c2(1D) → h c γ) < 3.7 × 10 −5, ℬ(B 0 → η c2(1D)K 0) × ℬ(η c2(1D) → h c γ) < 3.5 × 10 −5, ℬ(B 0 → η c2(1D)π − K +) × ℬ(η c2(1D) → h c γ) < 1.0 × 10 −4, and ℬ(B + → η c2(1D)π + K S 0 $$ {K}_S^0 $$ ) × ℬ(η c2(1D) → h c γ) < 1.1 × 10 −4 at 90% C.L. The analysis is based on the 711 fb −1 data sample collected on the ϒ(4S) resonance by the Belle detector, which operated at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider.

Abstract: Abstract We present the first model-independent measurement of the CKM unitarity triangle angle ϕ 3 using B ± → D( K S 0 $$ {K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0 $$ π + π − π 0) K ± decays, where D indicates either a D 0 or D ¯ $$ \overline{D} $$ 0 meson. Measurements of the strong-phase difference of the D → K S 0 $$ {K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0 $$ π + π − π 0 amplitude obtained from CLEO-c data are used as input. This analysis is based on the full Belle data set of 772 × 106 B B ¯ $$ \overline{B} $$ events collected at the Υ(4S) resonance. We obtain ϕ 3 = ( 5.7 − 8.8 + 10.2 $$ {5.7}_{-8.8}^{+10.2} $$ ±3.5±5.7) ° and the suppressed amplitude ratio r B = 0.323±0.147±0.023±0.051. Here the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic, and the third is due to the precision of the strong-phase parameters measured from CLEO-c data. The 95% confidence interval on ϕ 3 is (−29.7, 109.5) ° , which is consistent with the current world average.

Abstract: Abstract We report a new measurement of the e + e − → ϒ(nS)π + π − (n = 1, 2, 3) cross sections at energies from 10.52 to 11.02 GeV using data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider. We observe a new structure in the energy dependence of the cross sections; if described by a Breit-Wigner function its mass and width are found to be M = 10752.7 ± 5.9 − 1.1 + 0.7 MeV / c 2 $$ M=\left(10752.7\pm {5.9}_{-1.1}^{+0.7}\right)\mathrm{MeV}/{c}^2 $$ and Γ = 35.5 − 11.3 − 3.3 + 17.6 + 3.9 $$ \Gamma =\left({35.5}_{-11.3\kern0.5em -3.3}^{+17.6+3.9}\right) $$ MeV, where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. The global significance of the new structure including systematic uncertainty is 5.2 standard deviations. We also find evidence for the e + e − → ϒ (1S)π + π − process at the energy 10.52 GeV, which is below the B B ¯ $$ \overline{B} $$ threshold.

Abstract: Abstract We report evidence for the charged charmed-strange baryon $$\Xi _{c}(2930)^+$$ Ξc(2930)+ with a signal significance of 3.9$$\sigma $$ σ with systematic errors included. The charged $$\Xi _{c}(2930)^+$$ Ξc(2930)+ is found in its decay to $$K_{S}^{0} \Lambda _{c}^+$$ KS0Λc+ in the substructure of $$\bar{B}^{0} \rightarrow K^{0}_{S} \Lambda _{c}^{+} \bar{\Lambda }_{c}^{-}$$ B¯0→KS0Λc+Λ¯c- decays. The measured mass and width are $$[2942.3 \pm 4.4 ({\mathrm{stat.}}) \pm {1.5}({\mathrm{syst.}})]$$ [2942.3±4.4(stat.)±1.5(syst.)] MeV/$$c^{2}$$ c2 and $$[14.8 \pm 8.8({\mathrm{stat.}}) \pm {2.5}({\mathrm{syst.}})]$$ [14.8±8.8(stat.)±2.5(syst.)] MeV, respectively, and the product branching fraction is $$\mathcal{B}(\bar{B}^{0} \rightarrow \Xi _c(2930)^{+} \bar{\Lambda }_{c}^{-}) \mathcal{B}(\Xi _c(2930)^{+}\rightarrow \bar{K}^{0} \Lambda _{c}^{+})=[2.37 \pm 0.51 ({\mathrm{stat.}})\pm 0.31({\mathrm{syst.}})]\times 10^{-4}$$ B(B¯0→Ξc(2930)+Λ¯c-)B(Ξc(2930)+→K¯0Λc+)=[2.37±0.51(stat.)±0.31(syst.)]×10-4 . We also measure $$\mathcal{B}(\bar{B}^{0} \rightarrow \bar{K}^{0} \Lambda _{c}^{+} \bar{\Lambda }_{c}^{-}) = [3.99 \pm 0.76({\mathrm{stat.}}) \pm 0.51({\mathrm{syst.}})] \times 10^{-4}$$ B(B¯0→K¯0Λc+Λ¯c-)=[3.99±0.76(stat.)±0.51(syst.)]×10-4 with greater precision than previous experiments, and present the results of a search for the charmonium-like state Y(4660) and its spin partner, $$Y_{\eta }$$ Yη , in the $$\Lambda _{c}^{+}\bar{\Lambda }_{c}^{-}$$ Λc+Λ¯c- invariant mass spectrum. No clear signals of the Y(4660) or $$Y_{\eta }$$ Yη are observed and the 90% credibility level (C.L.) upper limits on their production rates are determined. These measurements are obtained from a sample of $$(772\pm 11)\times 10^{6} B\bar{B}$$ (772±11)×106BB¯ pairs collected at the $$\Upsilon (4S)$$ Υ(4S) resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy electron-positron collider.

Abstract: Abstract We study bottomonium production in association with an $$\eta $$ η meson in $$e^+e^-$$ e+e- annihilations near the $$\varUpsilon (5S)$$ Υ(5S) , at a centre-of-mass energy of $$\sqrt{s}=10.866$$ s=10.866 GeV. The results are based on the 121.4 fb$$^{-1}$$ -1 data sample collected by the Belle experiment at the asymmetric-energy KEKB collider. Only the $$\eta $$ η meson is reconstructed and the missing-mass spectrum of $$\eta $$ η candidates is investigated. We observe the $$e^+e^-\rightarrow \eta \varUpsilon _J(1D)$$ e+e-→ηΥJ(1D) process and find evidence for the $$e^+e^-\rightarrow \eta \varUpsilon (2S)$$ e+e-→ηΥ(2S) process, while no significant signals of $$\varUpsilon (1S)$$ Υ(1S) , $$h_b(1P)$$ hb(1P) , nor $$h_b(2P)$$ hb(2P) are found. Cross sections for the studied processes are reported.

The measured mass and width are $$[2928.9 \pm 3.0(\mathrm stat.)^{+0.9}_{-12.0}(\mathrm syst.)]$$ [2928.9±3.0(stat.)-12.0+0.9(syst.)] MeV/$$c^{2}$$ c2 and $$[19.5 \pm 8.4(\mathrm stat.) ^{+5.9}_{-7.9}(\mathrm syst.)]$$ [19.5±8.4(stat.)-7.9+5.9(syst.)] MeV, respectively, and the product branching fraction is $$\mathcal{B}(B^{-} \rightarrow \Xi _{c}(2930)^0 \bar{\Lambda }_{c}^{-}) \mathcal{B}(\Xi _{c}(2930)^0 \rightarrow K^- \Lambda _{c}^{+})=[1.73 \pm 0.45(\mathrm stat.) \pm 0.21(\mathrm syst.)]\times 10^{-4}$$ B(B-→Ξc(2930)0Λ¯c-)B(Ξc(2930)0→K-Λc+)=[1.73±0.45(stat.)±0.21(syst.)]×10-4 . 19. A Randomized Assessor-Blinded Wait-List-Controlled Trial to Assess the Effectiveness of Acupuncture in the Management of Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy

Abstract: Purpose: Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy is a complex side effect with few available treatment options. The aim of the study was to test the effectiveness of an 8-week course of acupuncture in the management of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in cancer patients who were receiving or had received neurotoxic chemotherapy. Methods: Randomized assessor-blinded controlled trial with 2 arms; one arm received acupuncture twice weekly for 8 weeks, while the other arm was a wait-list control group receiving only standard care. Primary outcome was pain intensity and interference over the past week using the Brief Pain Inventory at the end of the intervention. Secondary outcomes included clinical assessment (CTCAE [Common Toxicity Criteria for Adverse Events] grading and Total Neuropathy Score–Clinical Version) and nerve conduction studies; and patient-reported outcome measures (Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy–Gynecologic Oncology Group–Neurotoxicity Quality of Life scale and Symptom Distress Scale) assessed at baseline, end of treatment (8 weeks), week 14, and week 20 from the beginning of treatment. Results: Eighty-seven patients were randomized to the experimental arm (n = 44) and to the standard care wait-list control arm (n = 43). Significant changes at 8 weeks were detected in relation to primary outcome (pain), the clinical neurological assessment, quality of life domains, and symptom distress (all P < .05). Improvements in pain interference, neurotoxicity-related symptoms, and functional aspects of quality of life were sustained in the 14-week assessment ( P < .05), as were physical and functional well-being at the 20-week assessment ( P < .05). Conclusions: Acupuncture is an effective intervention for treating chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and improving patients’ quality of life and experience with neurotoxicity-related symptoms with longer term effects evident.

20. Inter-scale transfer of the large-scale background anisotropy under periodic conditions

Abstract: In numerical simulations of three-dimensional isotropy turbulence, low-wave-number truncation leads to large-scale anisotropy, but little anisotropy is generated at small scales. As the generally accepted energy cascade theory suggests an energy transfer from large to small scale, we phenomenally guess that an inter-scale anisotropy evolution might occur in the energy transfer process. With analyses in Kolmogorov’s equation and DNS validations, we demonstrate that the large-scale anisotropy is effectively transferred by convective effect, but this anisotropy is then diminished at small scales by viscous dissipation. The inter-scale anisotropy transfer process is synchronised with the inter-scale energy transfer. Time evolution of anisotropy distribution is then investigated in free-decaying, forced and non-equilibrium isotropic turbulence. It is shown that the anisotropy distribution remains stationary if the shape of energy spectrum does not change. The objective of this work is to provide a theoretical and numerical support for the further study on anisotropy correction in post-processing results.

22. Projected 21st century changes in snow water equivalent over Northern Hemisphere landmasses from the CMIP5 model ensemble

Abstract: Changes in snow water equivalent (SWE) over Northern Hemisphere (NH) landmasses are investigated for the early (2016–2035), middle (2046–2065) and late (2080–2099) 21st century using a multi-model ensemble from 20 global climate models from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5). The multi-model ensemble was found to provide a realistic estimate of observed NH mean winter SWE compared to the GlobSnow product. The multi-model ensemble projects significant decreases in SWE over the 21st century for most regions of the NH for representative concentration pathways (RCPs) 2.6, 4.5 and 8.5. This decrease is particularly evident over the Tibetan Plateau and North America. The only region with projected increases is eastern Siberia. Projected reductions in mean annual SWE exhibit a latitudinal gradient with the largest relative changes over lower latitudes. SWE is projected to undergo the largest decreases in the spring period where it is most strongly negatively correlated with air temperature. The reduction in snowfall amount from warming is shown to be the main contributor to projected changes in SWE during September to May over the NH.

Abstract: In recent years the cultural landscape has become an important issue for cultural heritages throughout the world. It represents the "combined works of nature and of man" designated in Article 1 of the World Heritage Convention. When a landscape has a cultural heritage value, important features should be marked and mapped through the delimitation of a conservation area, which may be essential for further conservation work. However, a cultural landscape’s spatial area is usually wider than the ordinary architectural type of cultural heritage, since various elements and impact factors, forming the cultural landscape’s character, lie within a wide geographic area. It is argued that the conservation of a cultural landscape may be influenced by the delimitation of the conservation area, the corresponding land management measures, the limits and encouragements. The Jianan Irrigation System, an historical cultural landscape in southern Taiwan, was registered as a living cultural heritage site in 2009. However, the system’s conservation should not be limited to just only the reservoir or canals, but expanded to irrigated areas where farmland may be the most relevant. Through the analysis process, only approximately 42,000 hectares was defined as a conservation area, but closely related to agricultural plantations and irrigated by the system. This is only half of the 1977 irrigated area due to urban sprawl and continuous industrial expansion.

Abstract: The Parkinson vectors derived from 3-component geomagnetic data via the magnetic transfer function are discussed with respect to epicentre locations and hypocentre depths of 16 earthquakes (M ≥ 5.5) in Taiwan during a period of 2002–2005. To find out whether electric conductivity changes would happen particularly in the seismoactive depth ranges, i.e. in the vicinity of the earthquake foci, the frequency dependent penetration depth of the electromagnetic waves (skin effect) is taken into account. The background distributions involving the general conductivity structure and the coast effect at 20 particular depths are constructed using the Parkinson vectors during the entire study period. The background distributions are subtracted from the time-varying monitor distributions, which are computed using the Parkinson vectors within the 15-day moving window, to remove responses of the coast effect and underlying conductivity structure. Anomalous depth sections are identified by deviating distributions and agree with the hypocentre depths of 15 thrust and/or strike-slip earthquakes with only one exception of a normal fault event.

Abstract: Structural monitoring requires instruments which can provide high precision and accuracy, reliable measurements at good temporal resolution and rapid processing speeds. Long-term campaigns and flexible structures are regarded as two of the most challenging subjects in monitoring engineering structures. Long-term monitoring in civil engineering is generally considered to be labourintensive and financially expensive and it can take significant effort to arrange the necessary human resources, transportation and equipment maintenance. When dealing with flexible structure monitoring, it is of paramount importance that any monitoring equipment used is able to carry out rapid sampling. Low cost, automated, photogrammetric techniques therefore have the potential to become routinely viable for monitoring non-rigid structures. This research aims to provide a photogrammetric solution for long-term flexible structural monitoring purposes. The automated approach was achieved using low-cost imaging devices (mobile phones) to replace traditional image acquisition stations and substantially reduce the equipment costs. A self-programmed software package was developed to deal with the hardware-software integration and system operation. In order to evaluate the performance of this low-cost monitoring system, a shaking table experiment was undertaken. Different network configurations and target sizes were used to determine the best configuration. A large quantity of image data was captured by four DSLR cameras and four mobile phone cameras respectively. These image data were processed using photogrammetric techniques to calculate the final results for the system evaluation.

Abstract: Two experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of supplemental glutamine on growth performance, plasma parameters and LPS-induced immune response of weaned barrows after castration. In experiment 1, forty-eight weaned male piglets were used and fed maize and soybean meal diets supplemented with 0 (Control) or 2% L-Gln (Gln+) for 25 days. The results indicated that the Gln+ group tended to increase average daily gain compared to control in stages of days 7 to 14 and 0 to 25. The Gln+ had significantly better feed efficiency than the control group did during days 14 to 25 and 0 to 25. The plasma blood urea nitrogen and alkaline phosphatase contents of Gln+ group were higher than those of the control group on day 14 post-weaning. In experiment 2, sixteen weaned male piglets were injected with E. coli K88+ lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on day 14 post-weaning. The results showed that the Gln+ group had lower concentrations of plasma adrenocorticotrophic hormone and cortisol than the control group on day 14 pre-LPS challenge. In addition, Gln+ group had higher plasma IgG concentration than the control group for pre- or post-LPS challenged on day 14 post-weaning. In summary, dietary supplementation of Gln was able to alleviate the stressful condition and inflammation associated with castration in weaned barrows, and to improve their immunity and growth performance in the early starter stage.

Abstract: Two high-k dielectric materials (Al2O3 and HfO2) were deposited on n-type (100) and (110) InAs surface orientations to investigate physical properties of the oxide/semiconductor interfaces and the interface trap density (Dit). X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analyses (XPS) for native oxides of (100) and (110) as-grown n-InAs epi wafers show an increase in As-oxide on the (100) surface and an increase in InOx on the (110) surface. In addition, XPS analyses of high-k (Al2O3 and HfO2) on n-InAs epi show that the intrinsic native oxide difference between (100) and (110) epi surfaces were eliminated by applying conventional in-situ pre-treatment (TriMethyAluminium (TMA)) before the high-k deposition. The capacitance-voltage (C-V) characterization of HfO2 and Al2O3 MOSCAPs on both types of n-InAs surfaces shows very similar C-V curves. The interface trap density (Dit) profiles show Dit minima of 6.1 × 1012/6.5 × 1012 and 6.6 × 1012/7.3 × 1012 cm−2 eV−1 for Al2O3 and HfO2, respectively for (100) and (110) InAs surfaces. The similar interface trap density (Dit) on (100) and (110) surface orientation were observed, which is beneficial to future InAs FinFET device with both (100) and (110) surface channel orientations present.

Abstract: The influence of the thermal effect of phosphor for conformal and remote structures in white light-emitting diodes was investigated using the junction and phosphor temperatures. Comparing the measured temperatures with IR thermometer, the remote structure has a higher phosphor temperature than the conformal structure. This result indicates that the phosphor in the conformal structure has demonstrated superior conduction because of the high thermal conductivity in surrounding. Furthermore, thermal distribution in the simulation results has shown to have favorable agreement with the experimental results. Consequently, the lifetime measurement is shown to verify the results of the simulation and experiment for both structural types.

Abstract: BACKGROUND: Digital treatment adherence technologies (DATs) have been recommended by the Chinese National Tuberculosis Programme since 2015. However, until now the extent to which DATs have been adopted in China remain unclear. In this study, we aimed to understand the current status and future prospects of DAT use in China.METHODS: A cross-sectional study was undertaken to collect data from all 2,884 county-level TB-designated institutions across China using a quantitative questionnaire and extraction of information from the Chinese TB information management system. Data were collected between 1 July 2020 and 30 June 2021.RESULTS: All of the 2,884 county-level TB-designated institutions responded to the questionnaire. We found that the utilisation rate of DATs in China was 21.5% (n = 620). Among those using DATs, the uptake of DATs among TB patients was 31.0%. Lack of financial, policy and technology support were the main barriers to adoption and scale up DATs at the institution level.CONCLUSIONS: The use of DATs is in an early stage in China; however, the number of institutions who offer DATs have increased significantly after July 2020. To facilitate the use of DATs, the national TB programme should provide more financial, policy and technology support, and a national guideline is required.

Abstract: Peculiar coordination compound Cu(Hbpt)(CH3CN)2PF6 (1) derived from 3,5-bis(4-pyridyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole (Hbpt) is synthesized by the layer diffusion method and structurally characterized by single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, and infrared spectroscopy. Compound 1 exhibits a structure formed by cationic [Cu(Hbpt)(CH3CN2]nn+ chains and PF6– anions with abundant supramolecular interactions. Solid-state photoluminescence experiments show that compound 1 exhibits relatively strong red emission with a peak around 656 nm, and the origin of the emission band may be ascribed to the metal-to-ligand charge transfer according to the calculation of the density of states.

Abstract: We measure the branching fractions and CP asymmetries for the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decays D0 → π+π−η, D0 → K+K−η, and D0 → ϕη, using 980 fb−1 of data from the Belle experiment at the KEKB e+e− collider. We obtain$$ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to {\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[1.22\pm 0.02\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.02\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.03\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-3},\\ {}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[{1.80}_{-0.06}^{+0.07}\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.04\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.05\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-4},\\ {}\mathcal{B}\left({D}^0\to \phi \eta \right)=\left[1.84\pm 0.09\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.06\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.05\left({\mathcal{B}}_{\mathrm{ref}}\right)\right]\times {10}^{-4},\end{array}} $$ B D 0 → π + π − η = 1.22 ± 0.02 stat ± 0.02 syst ± 0.03 B ref × 10 − 3 , B D 0 → K + K − η = 1.80 − 0.06 + 0.07 stat ± 0.04 syst ± 0.05 B ref × 10 − 4 , B D 0 → ϕη = 1.84 ± 0.09 stat ± 0.06 syst ± 0.05 B ref × 10 − 4 , where the third uncertainty ($$ \mathcal{B} $$ B ref) is from the uncertainty in the branching fraction of the reference mode D0 → K−π+η. The color-suppressed decay D0 → ϕη is observed for the first time, with very high significance. The results for the CP asymmetries are$$ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}{A}_{CP}\left({D}^0\ {\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[0.9\pm 1.2\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.5\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%,\\ {}{A}_{CP}\left({D}^0\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}\eta \right)=\left[-1.4\pm 3.3\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 1.1\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%,\\ {} ACP\ \left({D}^0\to \phi \eta \right)=\left[-1.9\pm 4.4\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.6\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\right]\%.\end{array}} $$ A CP D 0 π + π − η = 0.9 ± 1.2 stat ± 0.5 syst % , A CP D 0 → K + K − η = − 1.4 ± 3.3 stat ± 1.1 syst % , ACP D 0 → ϕη = − 1.9 ± 4.4 stat ± 0.6 syst % . The results for D0 → π+π−η are a significant improvement over previous results. The branching fraction and ACP results for D0 → K+K−η, and the ACP result for D0 → ϕη, are the first such measurements. No evidence for CP violation is found in any of these decays.

Abstract: Psoriatic arthritis is a chronic systemic autoimmune disease, characterized by psoriasis skin lesions and inflammation of the spine and joint. It has complicated clinical manifestations and individual variations. Nearly half of the patients will have joints erosion in two years, which is crippling. The severity of the skin and joint disease frequently do not correlate with each other. Currently, the understanding of the disease is insufficient in China with the lack of standardized diagnosis and treatment. Therefore, researchers from the Chinese Rheumatology Association formulated this specification based on the diagnosis and management experience together with guidelines at home and abroad. The specification summarizes the present situation of domestic diagnosis and treatment, aiming to standardize the diagnosis process and treatment protocols of psoriatic arthritis. Furthermore, it can reduce misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis, as well as improve the prognosis.银屑病关节炎是一种以累及脊柱和/或外周关节为主的银屑病相关的慢性进展性炎性关节炎。其临床表现复杂，具有显著的异质性，近50%的患者可在诊断2年内出现关节的侵蚀破坏，是一种致残性疾病。目前，我国对该病的认识不足，规范化诊治的普及依然欠缺。中华医学会风湿病学分会在借鉴国内外治疗指南和诊治经验的基础上，结合我国现状制定了本规范，旨在规范银屑病关节炎的诊断与治疗，减少误诊和漏诊，改善患者的预后。.

Abstract: Journal of high energy physics 06(6), 137 (2021). doi:10.1007/JHEP06(2021)137, We report the first measurement of the exclusive cross sections e$^{+}$e$^{��}$ �� $ B\overline{B} $, e$^{+}$e$^{��}$ �� $ B{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $, and e$^{+}$e$^{��}$ �� $ {B}^{\ast }{\overline{B}}^{\ast } $ in the energy range from 10.63 GeV to 11.02 GeV. The B mesons are fully reconstructed in a large number of hadronic final states and the three channels are identified using a beam-constrained-mass variable. The shapes of the exclusive cross sections show oscillatory behavior with several maxima and minima.
