The nation's progress can be measured by the number of students who are educated to a high level and understand the importance of entrepreneurship. This approach aligns with the Government's development plan and can be realized with the support of students who venture into entrepreneurship. High school students are fully capable of becoming entrepreneurs since they are the future drivers of the economy. The Government provides support through the National Entrepreneurship Movement (GKN) Program, which is implemented cohesively by all ministries, led by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. The Ministry of National Education is one of the participating ministries in the program. This study investigates the factors influencing high school students' entrepreneurial intention regarding attitudes towards entrepreneurship by analyzing the impact of entrepreneurial education in Surabaya. The technique used is multiple regression analysis using the mediator variable, using a questionnaire distributed to high school students in Surabaya with 153 participants. The results showed that out of the 4 hypotheses, 2 hypotheses have been accepted, and 2 hypotheses have been rejected. For the hypothesized mediation relationship does not occur. Therefore, the relationship is a direct relationship between the attitude toward entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial intention. The follow-up research plan will include new variables and more diverse subjects.

Human resources and sustainability are intertwined in contemporary organizational management. Green human resource management (GHRM) is a new approach in the field that focuses on integrating environmental issues into various human resource management functions and practices. The main goal is to promote sustainability, environmental responsibility and environmental awareness throughout the organization’s workforce. GHRM is a manifesto that helps create a green workforce that can understand and appreciate the green culture in an organization. Such a green initiative can maintain its green goals throughout the HRM process of recruiting, hiring and training, compensating, developing and promoting the company’s human capital. In this context, the objective of the article is to analyze the key components of the GHRM and the advantages and disadvantages arising from the implementation of this approach.

In both the public and private sectors, gender equality is a major issue faced by modern management. It is also a primary concern for the global sustainable development defined by the UN 2030 Agenda. Gender equality, as a research topic, has been explored from many different social, economic and political sides; nevertheless, gender equality in business economics is still a very promising research field since the everchanging global organisational environment requires frequent updates and polysemic approaches. The aim of this study is to identify and visualise the intellectual structure and dynamics of gender equality research on business economics literature through a bibliometric quantitative literature analysis. Our results found 12 main lines of research. They also identify the trending topics, sources of knowledge, and literature dissemination paths along these lines between 2001 and 2020. This work contributes to the field of gender issues by showing its intellectual structure and providing a research agenda and identifying future research lines and gaps in the area. In the article, the authors present a resource-oriented methodology of studying global economic ratings in the system of training future specialists in business economics, which consists of 5 stages: theoretical, search, analytical, summarizing and predictive. The theoretical stage involves the presentation of theoretical material to students: the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the discipline "Global Business Environment", its purpose, subject and tasks, methods of calculating global indices. Teaching methods: visualization of educational content, interactive discussions, mind mapping. The search stage directs students to use Internet resources to search for information on the assigned tasks. Teaching methods: contextual search, visual reading method, mathematical and statistical methods (collection, grouping, generalization). The analytical stage aims to perform indicative tasks aimed at selecting the necessary information, performing successive generalizations of the found information and analytical calculations. Teaching methods: research methods, mathematical and statistical methods (collection, grouping, generalization, sampling method), methods of information analysis (analysis of documents, reports, analytical notes). The summarizing stage focuses on the performance of tasks to generalize the information found and the students' application of calculation and analytical methods to determine the place of individual components in the total population (percentage and rank method of data evaluation). Teaching methods: research methods, mathematical and statistical methods (collection, grouping, generalization, sampling method), methods of information analysis (analysis of documents, reports, analytical notes). The predictive stage involves the execution of tasks in the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet using analysis, decision-making and forecasting tools. Why so few women graduate in Economics? We investigate the gender gap among Italian university graduates in Economics between 2010 and 2019. With women's probability of graduating in Economics being 27% lower than men's, the gap is larger than in Business and even STEM. The association between the gender gap and the mathematical content of high school curricula is especially strong in Economics. A triple difference analysis shows that a reform raising the mathematical content of traditionally low math curricula caused an increase in the gender gap, with women's probability of graduating in Economics decreasing by 12 percentage points. Young Entrepreneur is an urgent issue for the success of Indonesian society development. Government continues to promotes activities that form Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs, especially qualified community groups which contain students. Young people and students are the future generation which drives economic development in a nation. The government also supporting entrepreneurial activities gradually for the younger generation which indicated in the Kampus Merdeka program. Its goals are accelerating entrepreneurship and restoring the nation’s economy. This study focused on examine deeply regarding variables named Perceived Desired (PD), Perceived Viability (PV), and Perceived Behavior Control (PBC) on students in Surabaya. These variables are examined for Entrepreneurial Intention (EI) and created three hypotheses. By using multiple regression analysis tech, and 208 Surabaya students as the samples (using questionnaires), the result shows three of the hypotheses are accepted. AbstractASEAN is predicted to be the world’s largest single market by 2030, after the US, China, and the EU. This study aims to discover research performance in all ASEAN countries, including identifying output levels, research focus, and influential authors in the region. The approach used in this study is a bibliometric analysis of publications indexed in the WoS database for the past two decades (2002–2021). Of the more than 20,000 documents analyzed, it was indicated that each ASEAN country has exclusive and non-exclusive keywords. Singapore has the highest number of citations among the other ASEAN countries.

This research aim is to provide knowledge about the relationship between the two variables: Ponzi scheme and multi-level marketing. The contribution of these findings certainly provides very useful and important information for the people in Indonesia regarding the relationship between “Ponzi schemes” and multi-level marketing, through the findings of scientific studies. Research was conducted using quantitative methods. The data collection technique used questionnaires and literature studies on victims of money game fraud, Ponzi schemes, and multi-level marketing in Surabaya, Indonesia. The results found that the Ponzi scheme is related to multi-level marketing. Ponzi schemes share the same trait, which are to raise money through the continuous recruitment of new members. Multi-level marketing and single-level marketing business actors must be careful in running their business in Indonesia. This is because there is a criminal threat of 10 years in prison and/or a maximum fine of IDR 10 billion for harming consumers.

The strategic management and competitive strategies have been discussed in variable forums and refer to infrastructural, marketing, financial and organizational issues. The idea has been to analyze and highlight some aspects of focus business strategy. The aim of the paper is to present and analyze the focus strategy in relation to the competitiveness of the companies, especially small and medium enterprises. The case study method is used. The characteristics and possibilities of the implementation of the focus strategy, the advantages it brings to the company, the conditions for its successful implementation, the benefits, and risks, as well as some mistakes that can be made in case of incorrect assessment of the market situation are presented. The question "why" is not only an integral part of critical thinking, but at the same time it is also the beginning of any scientific research. Asking the right question is the key to finding the right answer. Business activity and the economy are dynamic fields that are of interest and the object of continuous research by researchers for testing existing theories and proposing new policies. Systematic research is the prerequisite for success. "Theoretical dictionaries" using the historical method may not be self-sufficient in accepting or rejecting a particular theory, and to improve their quality they would need to be complimented with empirical evidence. Similarly, we can think of the economy as something that exists and has left its mark on history. This a priori information left by the economy is statistical information. If you want the economy to do exactly what you want, you can do it based on prior information - statistical information. The empirical research approach begins with the definition of the problem and the research questions to which we seek answers. As long as we want to apply empirical analysis we need data relevant to the research questions. The way to get the data is a costly and time-consuming process. During the research we may come across various problems such as: what field of research we will choose what to count as important and what not the size of the research data adequacy. This study examines how the profiles of newly tenured business economics professors in Germany have changed over the past thirty years. We document how business economics professors have become more diverse over time, e.g., in terms of their gender and the internationality of their education. Furthermore, we show that the size of the professional networks of newly tenured professors increased strongly during our investigation period and that those professors who obtained tenure more recently publish with a stronger international focus than their peers who obtained tenure earlier. Most importantly, we find that the publication requirements for newly tenured business economics professors have changed over the past thirty years. Specifically, we document increased requirements for publications in highly renowned international journals. However, we also find that traditional German business economics journals (e.g., the Journal of Business Economics and the Schmalenbach Business Review) remain highly relevant outlets for recently tenured business economics professors. The personality of healthcare workers, including doctors, nurses, and any employee who directly provide supportive services to a patient, is vital in health service quality, contributing to the hospital’s brand image. Malaysia has successfully built that brand image attracting many Indonesians to have health treatment in this country. This study aims to examine the effect of healthcare workers’ personalities on health service quality at Malaysian hospitals. The study adopted the Big Five Traits and SERVQUAL models to measure healthcare workers’ personalities and health service quality. One hundred respondents from the families in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, who had health treatment in Malaysia, were selected to respond to the statements based on a Likert scale. The regression model was employed in data analysis in which the healthcare worker’s personality was an independent variable, and health service quality was a dependent variable. The regression test results show that agreeableness and emotional stability positively and significantly influenced health service quality at the 5% level, with each coefficient of 0.332 and 0.701. Due to less varied responses, conscientiousness, extraversion, and openness to experience did not significantly influence health service quality. That was supported by the high average index of health workers’ personalities (4.14) and hospital services (4.27), indicating that the respondents agreed with healthcare workers’ excellent personalities and health service quality in Malaysia. Each indicator in healthcare workers’ personalities also significantly correlated with each indicator in health service quality. This is important to policymakers for effective policy management and recommendations. Granger causality is recognized as the primary advance on the causation problem. The objective of this paper is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of Granger causality publications indexed in the Web of Science database. Harzing's Publish or Perish and VOSviewer were used for performance analysis and science mapping. The first paper indexed was published in 1981 and there has been an upward trend in the annual publication of Granger causality studies which are shifting towards the areas of environmental science, energy, and economics. Most of the publications are articles and proceeding papers under the areas of business economics, environmental science ecology, and neurosciences/neurology. China has the highest number of publications while the United States has the highest number of citations. England has the highest citation impact. This paper also constructed country co-authorship, co-analysis of cited references, cited sources, and cited authors, keyword co-occurrence, and keyword overlay visualization maps. The study aims to determine whether auditors can use a business model canvas in their operations and how it increases the auditing value. This paper uses qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews with 37 internal auditors from Poland. It shows that the current channel of communicating audit assumptions with requesters is insufficient to facilitate audit processes. The auditors’ communication with their clients is limited by being in their knowledge area. The study presents a modified business model canvas, which fits auditors’ needs. The proposed changes rely on a different sequence of the traditional Osterwalder’s Canvas building blocks. Besides, modified Osterwalder’s model includes Mission, Impact, and Accountability blocks. These blocks, added to the model, make aware audit parties that the auditors are mission-focused and impact-driven on audited organizations and their environment. Adopting the business model canvas framework in the audit process showed potential, as auditors can better explain audit goals and limitations. The study fits the literature related to firms because it emphasizes that creating the process understandability for external parties is a crucial performance point.

There has been a rapid growth for solar energy industry in recent years. The industry has increased its production and power capacity, getting more government subsidies and investment, and achieving lower production cost. The purpose of this study is to synthesize the available research of solar energy in business economics from 2000 to 2019 using scientometric method. This article investigates 968 publications with 26,873 sum of times cited retrieve from Web of Sciences on 17th August 2020. The most prominent contributors are from United States, Germany, United Kingdom and China. The scientometric approach used in the present study has identified research clusters, authors, journals and keyword that had significant impacts on solar energy in business economics research. By adopting visualization and co-citation techniques, this study able to map the frontiers of the specialty, interconnections between publications in the corpus used, and the prominent research trend. This study analyzes the economic impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic on leisure tourism in Peru, in terms of tourist services such as means of transportation, accommodation, city tours and restaurants. The analysis is based on the application of a survey. The cross-sectional analytical study evaluated 2,443 potential tourists of legal age from the 25 regions of Peru who intended to engage in leisure tourism during the quarantine period. Likewise, potential tourists who intended to make a trip culminating the quarantine (in the remaining time of the year 2020) were evaluated. Based on the study of people who were going to carry out local leisure tourism until the end of 2020, the estimated losses in tourist services amounted to approximately $203 dollars millions (based on a budget less than or equal to $83.00, the amount that most respondents were willing to pay for tourist services). An increase in the demand for domestic leisure tourism is expected associated with the reduction in prices of each tourist service in order to reactivate this sector economically. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of COVID-19-related research in business economics. The current status of research on economic management in COVID-19 is shown through descriptive statistics. The corresponding knowledge maps are obtained based on keyword clustering analysis, and research topics of interest to Chinese and foreign readers are identified. This paper finds that the impact of COVID-19 on business economics is mainly manifested in six major themes, namely COVID-19 and crisis management, COVID-19 and supply chain, COVID-19 and digitalization, COVID-19 and economic development, COVID-19 and organizational management, and COVID-19 and sustainable development. Based on these research foundations, this paper proposes a research framework for economic management under the influence of COVID-19. It describes the current research status, research directions, and future topics of six key research themes from macro, meso, and micro perspectives, to provide a knowledge base for research and practice in the field of economic management in the post-pandemic era. Taxation and tax policy are relatively much-discussed topics within every society, and this has been so in the past, it is today, and it will be in the future. This is mainly due to the fact that no person or company is too fond of having to pay a certain part from their funds to the state in the form of taxes. Each state chooses its own tax policy and its own tax system so that the specified tax policy does not impede economy and economic development, but on the contrary, supports the business and economic growth. After the accession of the Slovak Republic to the European Union, Slovakia had to accept a certain state of tax regulations and rules that was valid in the European Union. This was mainly in order to use the common European market. The Slovak Republic has created its tax system in accordance with the rules of the European Union and has been trying to find a compromise between the amount of taxes necessary for the fulfilment of the state budget and the amount of taxes that would be most acceptable for the business sector and for people. Within the tax system, the Slovak Republic divides taxes into direct and indirect taxes, direct taxes imposed on labour, income and property, and taxes on consumption by indirect taxes. Recently, the prevailing opinion is that taxation should gradually shift from direct taxes to indirect taxes, to motivate people and businesses to achieve the best possible results, and subsequently raise the necessary funds based on the increased consumption. Recently, both in Slovakia and in the European Union, new excise taxes have been increasingly introduced. Traditional excise taxes such as taxes on mineral oils and fuels, tobacco and alcoholic beverages are complemented by energy, environmental, and electronic taxes. Slovakia and the European Union want to reduce the burden on the environment through these taxes on the one hand, and on the other hand, they must respond to the new challenges of globalization, information, and communication.

The plastic industry needs to match the recycling goals set by the EU. Next to technological hurdles, the cost of plastics mechanical recycling is an important modality in this transition. This paper reveals how business economic cost calculation can expose significant pitfalls in the recycling process, by unravelling limitations and boundary conditions, such as scale. By combining the business economic methodology with a Material Flow Analysis, this paper shows the influence of mass retention of products, the capacity of the processing lines, scaling of input capacity, and waste composition on the recycling process and associated costs. Two cases were investigated: (i) the Initial Sorting in a medium size Material Recovery Facility and (ii) an improved mechanical recycling process for flexibles - known as the Quality Recycling Process - consisting of Additional Sorting and Improved Recycling. Assessing the whole recycling chain gives a more holistic insight into the influences of choices and operating parameters on subsequent costs in other parts of the chain and results in a more accurate cost of recycled plastic products. This research concluded that the cost of Initial Sorting of flexibles is 110,08-122,53 EUR/t, while the cost of subsequent Additional Sorting and Improved Recycling ranges from 566,26 EUR/t for rPE Flex to 735,47 EUR/t for rPP Film, these insights can be used to determine a fair price for plastic products. The research investigates the employment opportunities and outcomes for Italian graduates in business economics, after two decades from the beginning of the Bologna process. Preliminarily, the study identifies the predictors of the employment status of graduates one year after graduation. Subsequently, the job quality of the employed graduates is assessed. Both kinds of analysis evidence problems of mismatch between education and occupation, leading to bad job quality. To overcome job deterioration, the research suggests a new policy measure. According to the proposed solution, higher education institutions should be funded by governments not only for graduation rates or for employment rates of their students, but, above all, for the job quality of their employed graduates. Without such adjustments, the strategy of the Bologna process, although valuable for its purpose, will remain an incomplete reform failing to address the main question: the job quality, rather than just the quantity, of graduates. The strategic aspects of the tourism development in the UAE have been discussed on variable forums and in different documents of the native government and refer to infrastructural, marketing, financial and organizational issues. The idea has been to raise the attractiveness and values of the domestic tourist industry. The aim of the paper is to present and analyze strategic aspects related to the competitiveness of the UAE as a tourist destination from a business point of view. The method of comparative analysis is used. The resources and the infrastructure of the destination, as well as the supporting services forming the business environment, have a significant impact on the competitiveness of UAE tourism development. Currently, in connection with the development trend of spectacular entrepreneurship, business entities maximize their own profit by scaling up business ideas based on the entrepreneurial event core. In the sports industry, for example, there are plenty of such events: football matches, hockey leagues, car competitions (Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, Formula E). However, aspects of commercialization and monetization often do not coincide with the moral and ethical principles of sports and athletes themselves. As a result, discussion points arise that are on the verge of business and sports. This problem determined the research topic, its goals and results. The aim of the article is to highlight the principles of the entrepreneurial culture of the sports business based on the determination of the moral and ethical aspects of socially oriented activities of sports organizations. The following methods were used such as the methodological apparatus of the study: initial models of economic science; organization life cycle theory; theory of entrepreneurial culture. The main results of the study are as follows: the concept of entrepreneurial culture is defined; 3M levels of its development in the economy are highlighted; presents the relationship of the life cycle of organizations with the sports industry; The principles of entrepreneurial plasticity of the sports business are highlighted; examples of sports ethics of the sports business are given. For the first time in the theory of business economics, the category of «entrepreneurial plasticity» has been singled out, by which the authors understand the function of a business in responding to key moral and ethical principles of entrepreneurial and socially oriented activities, their preservation, compliance, adaptation and scaling. The results of the study can be used by entrepreneurial structures of the sports industry.

Management of financial risks and sound decision making rely on the accurate information and predictive models. Drawing useful information efficiently from big data with complex structures and building accurate models are therefore crucial tasks. Most commonly used methods for statistical inference in dynamic panel data models are based on the differencing transformation of data. However, differencing data may cause substantial loss of information, and therefore the subsequent analysis may fail to capture important features in the original level data. This point is demonstrated by a real data example where we use a semiparametrically efficient estimation method on the level data to reach a more favorable model. In particular, we study a second-order least squares approach which is based on the first two conditional moments of the response variable given the explanatory variables. This estimator is root-N consistent and its asymptotic variance reaches a lower bound semiparametric efficiency. Monte Carlo simulations show that this estimator performs favorably in finite sample situations compared to the first-differenced GMM and the random effects pseudo ML estimators. We also propose a new diagnostic test to check the working moments assumption based on the proposed estimator. A real data application is presented to further demonstrate the usage of this method. Invention of artificial intelligence (AI) is certainly one of the most promising technological advancements in modern economy. General AI reaching singularity makes one imagine its disruptive influence. Once invented it is supposed to surpass all human cognitive capabilities. Nevertheless, narrow AI has already been widely applied encompassing many technologies. This paper aims to explore the research area of artificial intelligence with the emphasis on the business economics field. Data has been derived from the records extracted from the Web of Science which is one of the most relevant databases of scientific publications. Total number of extracted records published in the period from 1963-2019 was 1369. Results provide systemic overview of the most influential authors, seminal papers and the most important sources for AI publication. Additionally, using MCA (multiple correspondence analysis) results display the intellectual map of the research field.

Today’s economy is experiencing serious economic and social problems affecting all world citizens. The earth seems to have become insufficient in meeting the standards of living that societies expect. The classic marketing approach is seen as the cause of many problems. It has contributed to the emergence of the behaviors that should be changed. With its indisputable impact on development, marketing has influence on degradation, but it can also build positive customers, organizations, and behaviors. Understood as a philosophy, a way of thinking and doing business, sustainable marketing, which we are interested in, promotes responsibility, conscious consumption, relationships, and sensible business. It is interesting to understand what the generation of young people thinks about the issue – the generation that will manage enterprises in the next few years and create global consumption. In this article, we present a research project aimed at answering the question “is today’s young generation ready to face the challenge of changing their lifestyle based on unlimited consumption for the one that will take sustainability into account as a basis for consumer behavior?”.
