Abstract

Статья посвящена привлечению внимания к проблеме миграции молодых людей из малых городов Российской Федерации, масштабы которой в последние годы приобрели массовый характер и в основном связаны с выездом в крупные города для получения профессионального образования. Основные исследовательские вопросы касались того, как развитие профессионального образования, в особенности среднего профессионального, может оказать влияние на снижение оттока молодых людей из малых городов, на развитие человеческого потенциала территорий муниципальных образований в условиях вызовов новой индустриализации. Исследование включало анализ материалов отечественныхисследователей и Интернет-ресурсов. В качестве методологического подхода использовались публикации ученых Отдела социологии образования Института социологии ФНИСЦ РАН в области исследования дифференциации образовательных возможностей молодежи. Исследование и анализ депопуляции населения в малых городах Челябинской области выявил продолжение тенденций миграции молодежи в агломерационные центры. Процессы эти в определенной степени обусловлены количественными и качественными характеристиками региональной системы среднего профессионального образования, следовательно, нивелирование проблем также целесообразно связать с совершенствованием последней. The article is devoted to drawing attention to the problem of migration of young people from small towns of the Russian Federation, the scale of which has become massive in recent years and is mainly associated with leaving for large cities to receive professional education. The main research questions concerned how the development of vocational education, especially secondary vocational education, can have an impact on reducing the outflow of young people from small towns, on the development of the human potential of the territories of municipalities in the face of the challenges of new industrialization. The study included an analysis of the materials of domestic researchers and Internet resources. As a methodological approach, publications of scientists from the Department of the Sociology of Education of the Institute of Sociology of the Federal Scientific Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the field of studying the differentiation of educational opportunities for young people were used. The study and analysis of the depopulation of the population in small towns of the Chelyabinsk region revealed the continued trend of youth migration to agglomeration centers. These processes are to a certain extent determined by the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the regional system of secondary vocational education, therefore, it is also advisable to associate the leveling of problems with the improvement of the latter.

Abstract

Introduction. Occupational air is contaminated with zinc oxide nanoparticles in the copper smelting industry, especially in the smelting of brass and copper. A wide range of toxic effects with varied clinical symptomatology is observed in zinc and its compounds. Competitive relations with many other metals, including calcium, copper, and iron, are the foundation of most cases of zinc intoxication. Long-term administration of zinc or its compounds to laboratory rodents affects enzymes, carbohydrates and mineral metabolism. Materials and methods. Subchronic intoxication with repeated intraperitoneal injections and acute low respiratory tract reaction to a single intratracheal injection of zinc nanoparticles were simulated in outbred white rats. Water suspensions of zinc oxide nanoparticles with a 30-80 nm diameter were applied in both experimental models. Upon completion of the exposure, the condition of the rats in all groups was evaluated in many generally accepted criteria for toxicity. The student’s t-test was applied for statistical analysis of the obtained data. Results. Moderate intoxication development in a subchronic experiment is demonstrated. Homogeneous ultrastructural changes in the spleen tissue were revealed. Mitochondrial damage with partial or complete loss of crista is the most common. The fragmentation ratio of DNA was found by a statistically significant increase. A single intratracheal injection of zinc oxide nanoparticles revealed the increase in the attraction of cells capable of their phagocytosis (mainly neutrophils) into the low respiratory tract. This shows their cytotoxicity. Conclusion. Moderate general toxic and cytotoxic effects of zinc oxide nanoparticles on the rat body were identified. © 2021 Izdatel'stvo Meditsina. Abstract

In vitro toxicological experiments were performed on an endothelial cell line exposed to different doses of spherical nanoparticles of cadmium and/or of lead sulfides with mean diameter 37 ± 5 nm and 24 ± 4 nm, respectively. Toxic effects were estimated by Luminescent Cell Viability Assay, endothelin-1 concentration and cell size determination. Some dose-response relationships were typically monotonic (well approximated with hyperbolic function) while others were bi- or even 3-phasic and could be described within the expanded hormesis paradigm. The combined toxicity type variated depending on the effect it was assessed by. © The Author(s) 2021.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the substantiation of the relationship between the characteristics of the social educational environment in vocational education organizations and the labor motivation of students with disabilities. It is shown that in order to increase the efficiency of employment of people with disabilities, it is necessary to optimize the process of forming labor motivation in educational institutions of vocational education. The data of a study devoted to studying the influence of the social environment on a vulnerable group of students, which included a survey of representatives of this group conducted by a student with a visual impairment of the first group, are analyzed. Статья посвящена обоснованию взаимосвязи между особенностями социальной образовательной среды в организациях профессионального образования и трудовой мотивацией студентов с ограниченными возможностями здоровья. Показано, что для повышения эффективности трудоустройства людей с инвалидностью необходимо оптимизировать процесс формирования у них трудовой мотивации в образовательных организациях профессионального образования. Анализируются данные исследования, посвященного изучению влияния социального окружения на уязвимую группу студентов, включавшего в себя анкетирование представителей этой группы, проведенного студентом-инвалидом I группы по зрению.

Abstract

Introduction. Non-ferrous smelters are one of the critical nanoscale cadmium particles sources in the workplace and ambient air. Materials and methods. The research was performed to evaluate the subchronic toxicity of cadmium oxide nanoparticles (CdO-NPs) in white outbred rats. Male outbred 3.5-month old rats received intraperitoneal injections of CdO-NPs 3 times a week for six weeks (18 in total) in doses of 0.25 mg/kg body mass. After the end of an exposure, there were rated more than 50 indices of universally accepted toxicity criteria (including biochemical and cytomorphometric). Student’s t-test was used for statistical analysis. Results. The hematotoxic effects of CdO-NPs were revealed by a decrease in the hemoglobin content, an increase in the number of reticulocytes, eosinophils, and monocytes. CdO NPs influenced porphyrin metabolism (an increase of δ-aminolevulinic acid in the urine). Liver toxicity resulted in an increase in organ mass and a decrease in albumin content and A/G index. Besides, there was observed a rise in γ-glutamyl transpeptidase and high-density lipoproteins in the blood serum. Oxidative stress level increased (decrease in catalase action and ceruloplasmin content). Endothelin-1 decreased. It may result from an observed decrease in blood pressure indices (statistically significant for mean B.P.). Conclusion. The intoxication of moderate severity was retrieved at the end of the subchronic exposure to cadmium oxide nanoparticles. It characterized mass, hematological, biochemical, and cytomophometric changes. There was found mild but evident cardiovascular toxicity of cadmium oxide nanoparticles. © 2021 Izdatel'stvo Meditsina. Abstract

Spherical nanoparticles (NPs) of cadmium and lead sulfides (diameter 37 ± 5 and 24 ± 4 nm, respectively) have been found to be cytotoxic for HL-1 cardiomyocytes as evidenced by decrease in adenosine triphosphate–dependent luminescence. Cadmium sulfide (CdS)-NPs were discovered to produce a much greater cytotoxic impact than lead sulphide (PbS)-NP. Given the same dose range, CdS-NP reduced the number of calcium spikes. A similar effect was observed for small doses of PbS-NP. In addition to cell hypertrophy under the impact of certain doses of CdS-NP and PbS-NP, doses causing cardiomyocyte size reduction were identified. For these 3 outcomes, we obtained both monotonic “dose–response” functions (well approximated by the hyperbolic function) and different variants of non-monotonic ones for which we found adequate mathematical expressions by modifying certain models of hormesis available in the literature. Data analysis using a response surface linear model with a cross-term provided new support to the previously established postulate that a diversity of types of joint action characteristic of one and the same pair of damaging agents is one of the important assertions of the general theory of combined toxicity. © The Author(s) 2020.

Abstract

Background: There appears little consensus concerning protein requirements in phenylketonuria (PKU). Methods: A questionnaire completed by 63 European and Turkish IMD centres from 18 countries collected data on prescribed total protein intake (natural/intact protein and phenylalanine-free protein substitute [PS]) by age, administration frequency and method, monitoring, and type of protein substitute. Data were analysed by European region using descriptive statistics. Results: The amount of total protein (from PS and natural/intact protein) varied according to the European region. Higher median amounts of total protein were prescribed in infants and children in Northern Europe (n = 24 centres) (infants <1 year, >2-3 g/kg/day; 1-3 years of age, >2-3 g/kg/day; 4-10 years of age, >1.5-2.5 g/kg/day) and Southern Europe (n = 10 centres) (infants <1 year, 2.5 g/kg/day, 1-3 years of age, 2 g/kg/day; 4-10 years of age, 1.5-2 g/kg/day), than by Eastern Europe (n = 4 centres) (infants <1 year, 2.5 g/kg/day, 1-3 years of age, >2-2.5 g/kg/day; 4-10 years of age, >1.5-2 g/kg/day) and with Western Europe (n = 25 centres) giving the least (infants <1 year, >2-2.5 g/kg/day, 1-3 years of age, 1.5-2 g/kg/day; 4-10 years of age, 1-1.5 g/kg/day). Total protein prescription was similar in patients aged >10 years (1-1.5 g/kg/day) and maternal patients (1-1.5 g/kg/day). Conclusions: The amounts of total protein prescribed varied between European countries and appeared to be influenced by geographical region. In PKU, all gave higher than the recommended 2007 WHO/FAO/UNU safe levels of protein intake for the general population.

Abstract

Background: There appears little consensus concerning protein requirements in phenylketonuria (PKU). Methods: A questionnaire completed by 63 European and Turkish IMD centres from 18 countries collected data on prescribed total protein intake (natural/intact protein and phenylalanine-free protein substitute [PS]) by age, administration frequency and method, monitoring, and type of protein substitute. Data were analysed by European region using descriptive statistics. Results: The amount of total protein (from PS and natural/intact protein) varied according to the European region. Higher median amounts of total protein were prescribed in infants and children in Northern Europe (n. =. 24 centres) (infants <. 1. year, >. 2-3. g/kg/day; 1-3. years of age, >. 2-3. g/kg/day; 4-10. years of age, >. 1.5-2.5. g/kg/day) and Southern Europe (n. =. 10 centres) (infants <. 1. year, 2.5. g/kg/day, 1-3. years of age, 2. g/kg/day; 4-10. years of age, 1.5-2. g/kg/day), than by Eastern Europe (n. =. 4 centres) (infants <. 1. year, 2.5. g/kg/day, 1-3. years of age, >. 2-2.5. g/kg/day; 4-10. years of age, >. 1.5-2. g/kg/day) and with Western Europe (n. =. 25 centres) giving the least (infants <. 1. year, >. 2-2.5. g/kg/day, 1-3. years of age, 1.5-2. g/kg/day; 4-10. years of age, 1-1.5. g/kg/day). Total protein prescription was similar in patients aged >. 10. years (1-1.5. g/kg/day) and maternal patients (1-1.5. g/kg/day). Conclusions: The amounts of total protein prescribed varied between European countries and appeared to be influenced by geographical region. In PKU, all gave higher than the recommended 2007 WHO/FAO/UNU safe levels of protein intake for the general population.
