The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic has changed the education system, including problem-based learning (PBL), which is the main curriculum model in medical education. Social interaction and acquisition of knowledge and skills are one of the challenges in online learning during a pandemic. This study evaluated the use of the flipped classroom in the PBL curriculum of medical education. This study used mixed-methods design with a concurrent approach. The data collection technique was secondary data collection in the form of data from the block learning evaluation form. The evaluation form contains statements regarding the quality of the learning process, in the form of Likert scales. At the end of the form, there was a fill-in/essay question for more in-depth exploration. The quantitative data were analysed using descriptive univariate analysis, meanwhile, the qualitative data were analysed using thematic analysis techniques. Unbalanced learning load on the block, block learning management, and knowledge retention in block learning were considered lacking in flipped classroom block implementation. The management of time delays, a stage for students to be ready, a step to lessen psychological stress, and the use of media to generate different learning experiences are particular areas that need improvement.

The rapid development of technology in the world makes companies look for competent human resources for technology development, qualified skills and a good desire to learn. Telkom Indonesia as the telecommunications market leader in Indonesia needs to pay attention to employee digital competency in maintaining competitive advantage. Telkom Indonesia with a strategic approach implemented a corporate university concept with Telkom Corporate University as a learning unit that provides employee development programs. This research aims to determine the application of the talent development strategy in the industrial era 4.0 at PT Telkom Indonesia Regional IV Jateng-DIY by using the talent management framework as a reference material for analysis. This research is qualitative research with a literature review of various scientific articles and reports published by trusted organizations. The findings show that good talent management can support the talent development system or strategy at telecommunications companies in Indonesia. A strategic approach with the corporate university concept is the key in the talent development strategy of telecommunications companies facing the industrial revolution. The results of this research can be developed by paying attention to corporate culture activation programs that influence talent development programs in the industrial era 4.0. Perkembangan teknologi membuat perusahaan mencari karyawan yang kompeten dalam teknologi dan keinginan untuk belajar yang baik. Telkom Indonesia sebagai market leader telekomunikasi di Indonesia perlu untuk memperhatikan kompetensi digital karyawan sebagai modal manusia dalam menjaga keunggulan kompetitif di era industri 4.0. Telkom Indonesia dengan pendekatan strategis menjalankan konsep corporate universitydengan Telkom Corporate University sebagai learning unit yang menyuguhkan program-program pengembangan karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan talent development strategy di era industri 4.0 pada PT Telkom Indonesia Regional IV Jateng-DIY dengan menggunakan talent management framework sebagai bahan acuan analisis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan tinjauan literatur berbagai artikel ilmiah dan laporan yang diterbitkan oleh organisasi terpercaya yang membahas terkait manajemen talenta khususnya talent development. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa talent management yang baik dapat mendukung sistem atau strategi talent development pada perusahaan telekomunikasi di Indonesia yaitu PT Telkom Indonesia. Pendekatan strategis dengan konsep corporate university & learning & development framework menjadi kunci dalam strategi talent development perusahaan telekomunikasi menghadapi revolusi industri 4.0. Diperlukan culture activation perusahaan yang baik pada setiap lini guna mendukung talent development strategy yang optimal. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat dikembangkan dengan memperhatikan program aktivitas budaya yang mempengaruhi program talent development.

In school, teachers are the most critical factor and should inculcate moral values among their students. This study seeks to identify the factors that support the strategies of Islamic Education teachers in akhlaq (character) building among students in an Islamic Private Secondary School. The research applied qualitative design with in-depth semi-structured interviews; the data were gathered from five Islamic education teachers to explore the supporting factors of teacher strategies of Islamic education and ensure the strengths and weaknesses of these factors. The teachers were purposively selected based on their experiences in teaching and learning. Moreover, the study revealed that the results identified the main supporting factor in the implementing of teacher strategies in Islamic education in akhlaq building among students was the school discipline, co-curricular activities of Islamic school, student (diversity in learning), and teachers as a role model as well as parental involvement in akhlaq building. The finding also asserted that the social environment is one of the supporting factors in implementing teacher strategies of Islamic education in akhlaq building among students. Based on the findings, the researcher recommends the future study, including examining other participants of the school, namely students, staff, principal of school, and parents, to enrich data from different views.

Assessment has a pivotal role in medical education, as it can direct student learning. Motivation is an essential factor that determines learning assessment results. One of the aims of assessment is to determine the level of student knowledge, one of which can be measured by a progress test. This study aimed to determine the relationship between progress test and student motivation. This study used a cross-sectional observational analytic method. It was conducted in 2017 at Faculty of Medicine Universitas Sebelas Maret (FM UNS), Indonesia. The respondents consisted of 253 students from batch 2014, 2015, and 2016. The sample was selected by stratified random sampling. The instrument used to assess academic motivation was the academic motivation scale (AMS). The research data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation test. There is a significant positive correlation between progress test results and academic motivation (r=0.500; p=0.000). However, there is no significant difference in motivation level based on gender (p=0.889) and student cohort (p=0.533). In the progress test score, there are significant differences based on gender (p=0.014) and grade-point average (p=0.000). However, there is no significant difference in the progress test scores based on the student batch (p=0.212). The results support that progress test is useful assessment method to support medical student's motivation.

Hambatan kognitif pada siswa tunagrahita ringan salah satunya adalah kemampuan berhitung dan upaya meningkatannya dengan media congklak.. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media congklak terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berhitung pada siswa tunagrahita ringan di Sekolah Khusus Pelita Bunda Samarinda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Pre-ekperimental dengan onegroup pretest-posttest design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Desain ekperimental dengan onegroup pretest-posttest design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak lima siswa tunagrahita ringan. Metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan alat ukur berupa soal matematika kemampuan berhitung dengan cara penilaian menggunakan skala likert. Teknik analisis data menggunakan paired sample-test dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 23,00 for windows. Berdasarkan analisa data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh media congklak yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan behitung di Sekolah Khusus Pelita Bunda Samarinda.

Detailed data on the distribution of human populations are valuable inputs to research and decision making. This study aims at compiling data on population density that are more granular than government-published estimates and assessing different methods and model specifications. As a first step, we combine government-published data with publicly available data like land cover classes, elevation, slope, and nighttime lights, and then apply a random forest approach to estimate population density in the Philippines and Thailand at the 100 meter (m) by 100[Formula: see text]m level. Second, we use different specifications of random forest and Bayesian model averaging (BMA) techniques to forecast grid-level population density and evaluate their predictive power. The use of a random forest model showed that reasonable forecasts of grid-level population growth rates are achievable. The results of this study contribute to the assessment of methods like random forest and BMA in forecasting population distributions.

Abstract The effects of inhibitor concentration on the corrosion rate and inhibition efficiency of AISI 1020 steel in an acidic and alkaline environment were investigated by means of weight loss measurement at an interval of 7 days and 14 days. To carry out this investigation, the Arachis hypogaea hull was extracted and concentrated in various weight percentages. The inhibition efficiency increased with the increased concentrations of AISI 1020 steel that were immersed in acidic and alkaline solution in the absence and presence of varying inhibitor concentrations of Arachis hypogaea hull extracts. The corrosion behavior, including the corrosion rate, is meticulously characterized through the corrosion rate analysis. The results showed that there is an increase in inhibition efficiency with an increase in inhibitor concentration and that there is a decrease in inhibition efficiency with an increase in immersion time. The organic inhibitor (Arachis hypogaea hull) produced the best inhibition efficiency of 96.4% at a 30% concentration. From the result obtained, Arachis hypogaea hull extracts revealed that it is best suited for inhibition of corrosion of mild steel in both acidic and alkaline environments. The goal of this research paper is to develop a comprehensive understanding of the corrosion inhibition and adsorption mechanisms associated with the implementation of the Arachis hypogaea hull as a natural corrosion inhibitor.

Rapid and non-destructive measurements to determine the amount of certain compounds in products such as fresh red chilies are still challenging today. Therefore, the objective of this study was to develop a fast and non-destructive calibration model of fresh red chilies for the content of acetic acid, flavonoid, and capsaicin using a combination of visible near-infrared spectroscopy (Vis-NIR) descriptors in the range 380–1065 nm and machine learning regressors including random forest (RF), Ridge, decision tree (DT) and their stacking ensemble learning (SEL). The best calibration model to predict the content of acetic acid and flavonoid compounds is to use SEL, and capsaicin is to use DT. Thus, the proposed model can effectively predict the compound content in fresh red chilies and may have important applications in helping researchers and practitioners assess its quality non-subjectively and non-invasively.

A novel and efficient approach for a tandem oxidative synthesis of quinazolin-4(3H)-one from 2-aminobenzonitrile and benzyl alcohol has been unveiled via Cu2(CO3)(OH)2. Herein CuSO4.5H2O accompanied by egg shell powder is used for the easy preparation of Cu2(CO3)(OH)2. The reported method portrays a wide range of substrate scope with good to excellent yield and the given reaction proceed at room temperature within 12 h. Single crystal of one of the synthesized quinazolin-4(3H)-ones was analysed through single crystal X-ray diffraction (SC-XRD). Some of the compounds reported here are also known to possess various pharmaceutical activities. Eventually the newly prepared catalyst was applied for propargylamine synthesis via a multi component reaction. Perceiving all the advantages, present protocol is conceivably considered as clean, cost-effective and sustainable over reported procedures used for synthesis of quinazolin-4(3H)-ones and propargyl amines.

Introduction: Nursing services are an integral part of hospital health services, and they have a very strategic position in efforts to improve the quality of consumer services coming to the hospital. The delivery of quality health services highlights the need for multi-stakeholder action at all health system levels. The hospital can maintain patient loyalty and gain public trust by providing efficient and quality services by providing good service. This study examined the effect of empathy, communication, and emotional intelligence on the quality of nursing services at RSIA Bunda Denpasar. Methods: The design of this study was cross-sectional, using a multivariate test and convenience sampling technique. The independent variables in this study were empathy, communication, and emotional intelligence. Meanwhile, the dependent variable in this study is the quality of nursing services at RSIA Bunda Denpasar. The timing of this study is in May 2024. This study used a sampling of 38 respondents. The instruments in this study used empathy, communication, caring, and nursing service quality questionnaires. A validity test value of 0.650-1,000, 0.790-1,000, 0.500-1,000, and 0.545-1,000, and a reliability test value of 0.877, 0.756, 0.765, and 0.867. Introduction Reducing neonatal deaths in premature infants in low- and middle-income countries is key to reducing global neonatal mortality. International neonatal networks, along with patient registries of premature infants, have contributed to improving the quality of neonatal care; however, the involvement of low-to-middle-income countries was limited. This project aims to form an international collaboration among neonatal networks in Asia (AsianNeo), including low-, middle- and high-income countries (or regions). Specifically, it aims to determine outcomes in sick newborn infants, especially very low birth weight (VLBW) infants or very preterm infants, with a view to improving the quality of care for such infants.Methods and analysis Currently, AsianNeo comprises nine neonatal networks from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Thailand. AsianNeo will undertake the following four studies: (1) institutional questionnaire surveys investigating neonatal intensive care unit resources and the clinical management of sick newborn infants, with a focus on VLBW infants (nine countries/regions); (2) a retrospective cohort study to describe and compare the outcomes of VLBW infants among Asian countries and regions (four countries/regions); (3) a prospective cohort study to develop the AsianNeo registry of VLBW infants (six countries/regions); and (4) implementation and evaluation of educational and quality improvement projects in AsianNeo countries and regions (nine countries/regions).Ethics and dissemination The study protocol was approved by the Research Ethics Board of the National Center for Child Health and Development, Tokyo, Japan (reference number 2020–244, 2022–156). The study findings will be disseminated through educational programmes, quality improvement activities, conference presentations and medical journal publications.

Agroforestry is a sustainable farming system that provides social, economic, and environmental benefits. It is crucial to develop this system in Java, which produces of 50% of Indonesia's food and has a shrinking land area. Small-scale entrepreneurs and farmers in Central Java have developed agroforestry in less than five years, but its long-term benefits are yet to be measured. However, it is possible to measure short-term benefits as indicators for monitoring and evaluation purposes. This study surveyed 101 agroforestry farmers to identify their characteristics and level of confidence in agroforestry, the types of agroforestry they practice, the combination of crops and livestock they use, their income for each type of crop and livestock, and the productivity of their land. The correlation between land area and income was also examined, as well as the relationship between agricultural and livestock yields to measure agrosilvopastoral potential. Agroforestry has been demonstrated to be a promising source of income for smallholders and should be further developed, particularly to increase productivity by addressing some of its weaknesses. Farmers have shown a positive attitude towards becoming social capital for sustainable forestry. Further research in the social field should investigate production trends and outcomes of changes in agricultural patterns, and conduct a resilience analysis. This research should be compared with conventional forestry to formulate appropriate agroforestry patterns that can be applied on a wider scale, particularly in areas with similar regional characteristics. Additionally, it is necessary to triangulate the ecological impact of agroforestry and its contribution to the macro-economy.

This research aims to investigate the impact of total physical response-storytelling (TPRS) and grammar-translation (G-T) methods on the elementary school third grade students' acquisition of English vocabulary and the views of elementary school third grade students on these methods. In this embedded mixed-methods study, the data were collected from 49 elementary school third grade students in an elementary school selected by convenience in Kadinhani/Konya, Turkey. For the analysis of the data which were collected through the Vocabulary Acquisition Test and student diaries, independent- and related-samples t tests and descriptive analysis were utilized. It is concluded that the TPRS method is effective in the experimental group students' vocabulary acquisition; the G-T method is effective in the control group students'; and that the TPRS method is not a more/less effective method than the G-T method in terms of vocabulary acquisition. In addition, most students in both groups reflect positive views on both methods in their diaries kept throughout the intervention.

After the Covid-19 pandemic, the world faced economic challenges stagflation, namely high inflation and declining economic growth. To overcome this, the Government made arrangements through monetary and fiscal policies. This study analyses the effect of monetary and fiscal policies on Indonesia's economic growth. This research has eight obtained monetary, fiscal and other macro-economic variables, a novelty compared to the previous researcher. Based on the impulse response analysis in the Vector Error Correction Model, the highest impacted variables to maintain economic growth were the growth of income tax and capital market index, and to negatively impact were exchange money and government expenditure. Over an extended period, it shows that the increase in inflation, money exchange, number of broad-money, interest rate, and government expenditure will impact the decrease of economic growth. In contrast, the increase in government income from tax and capital market indexes will impact the increase in economic growth.

Spatial analysis approach is capable of identifying spatial clustering of Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) across districts/cities in Indonesia. This information is essential for policymakers when developing appropriate health interventions at districts/cities level. At delivery, maternal age is one of the strongest predictors of infant mortality, which is closely related to child marriage. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the relationship between child marriage and IMR in Indonesia, which was controlled by the influence of maternal, household, and health factors. The results showed that there were spatial dependency on IMR in Indonesia. Analysis Regression Spatial Durbin Model showed that child marriage had a positive and significant relationship with IMR. Furthermore, it was discovered that IMR was influenced by several explanatory variables in districts and neighboring cities. To reduce mortality rate, there was a need to increase health services by developing neighboring areas and building access to areas with good health facilities. Educational initiatives are also important, emphasizing the importance of delaying the age of marriage and enforcing the minimum age limits. This approach empowered every child to marriage carefully and had good reproductive health knowledge that could decrease IMR in Indonesia.

This study aims to detangle the impact of health on economic growth as empirical evidence shows a mixture of findings. We use data on the Burden of Disease (BoD) from the Institute of Health Metric Evaluation (IHME) to measure health capital and the economic data of 87 countries from 1990 to 2018. Using panel threshold regression, this study shows that the old dependency ratio is a good measure of the threshold variable, which divides the country groups into four. The BoD, whether it comes from communicable diseases (CD), non-communicable diseases (NCD), or injuries, has a negative impact on economic growth. However, the negative relation is somewhat diminished as the population gets older, demonstrating that the BoD's impact on economic growth is less pronounced for the older population than the younger population.

Progress over time has encouraged the gay community to be more open about their sexual identity. However, there is still stigma and societal disacceptance because they are considered deviant from religion, law and culture. This research aims to determine the relationship between self-disclosure and the psychological well-being of homosexuals (gay) in Central Java. The method used is quantitative with a correlational design. A total of 237 homosexuals (gay) in Central Java were used as research participants using incidental sampling techniques. Research measurements used the Revised Self-Disclosure Scale (α = .92) and the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale (α = .543-.828). The research data analysis method uses the product-moment correlation test from Karl Pearson. The research results show a significant, but not strong, positive relationship between self-disclosure and psychological well-being (r = .147 and sig. = .012). This indicates that self-disclosure is one of the factors related to increasing the psychological well-being of homosexuals (gays) in Central Java. The implication of this research is the need for self-disclosure for homosexuals (Gay) to vent all the feelings and inner pressure they experience and make them feel more relieved to improve their psychological well-being to live their lives well for the sake of past goals. Future research should be able to develop research by looking for other factors related to self-disclosure and psychological well-being.

The motivation behind this study stems from the occurrence of issues within a specific bank company listed on the IDX. These issues are reflected in the suboptimal performance of Return on Assets (ROA) and Debt to Equity (DER), which in turn impact the bank company's overall firm value on the IDX. This study aims to assess the extent to which Return on Assets (ROA) and Debt to Equity (DER) impact the perceived firm value of a chosen bank company listed on the IDX. The present study employs a quantitative research methodology, precisely a Descriptive and Verification approach. The data for this study is obtained from the financial reports of a chosen bank company listed on the IDX. The data collection spans from 2016 to 2021, encompassing quarterly reports issued by the company. The study utilizes financial report data from a selected bank company listed on the IDX. The data is processed using SPSS 25 software. This research's findings demonstrate a statistically significant positive relationship between Return on Assets (ROA) and Firm Value. This result is evidenced by a Sig value of 0.048, less than the conventional significance level of 0.05. Additionally, the T-count value of 2.101 exceeds the critical value, further supporting the significance of this relationship. The table displaying the 2.07961 (2) coefficient for the Debt to Equity (DER) ratio indicates a statistically significant positive impact on Firm Value. This result is evidenced by the Sig value of 0.001, which is less than the conventional significance level of 0.05. Additionally, the T-count value of -4.043, which is greater than the critical value, further supports the significance of this relationship. The study conducted on the relationship between Return on Assets (ROA) and Debt to Equity (DER) on Firm Value found that a coefficient of 2.10982 (p < 0.05) indicates a direct effect of 66.7%. However, it is essential to note that the remaining 33.7% of Firm Value is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

In the learning, because the learning time isn’t sufficient to convey material, teacher who concerned learning results than learning process made students just imitating teachers’ problem solving. They aren’t trained to solve new problems. This research aims, (1) finds out the mathematics creatie thinking ability of high school students; (2) finds out the characters of the students’ curiosity; (3) finds out the influence of curiosity on students’ creative thinking ability. This research method and design is a quantitative and comparison of approaches. The research is conducted at one of the state high schools in Semarang. The research population sample in a row is all students of classes of X MIPA and X MIPA 3. This population is given a creative thinking ability test. This sample is given a curiosity questionnaire. Creative thinking ability mean of the ten classes of X MIPA is 69,4. Curiosity mean of X MIPA 3 is 169,3. Therefore, (1) students’ mathematics creative thinking ability is not optimal; (2) the character of the students’ curiosity is not optimal; (3) curiosity positively affects creative thinking ability. That resulted in teacher developing learning media and processes and students’ curiosity to their students’ creative thinking ability. Dalam pembelajaran, karena waktu pembelajaran tidak mencukupi untuk menyampaikan materi, guru mengutamakan hasil dari pada proses pembelajaran mengakibatkan siswa meniru proses pemecahan masalah dari guru dan tidak terlatih menyelesaikan masalah baru. Tujuan penelitian, (1) mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMA; (2) mengetahui karakter rasa ingin tahu siswa; (3) mengetahui pengaruh karakter rasa ingin tahu terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Desain penelitian adalah comparison of approaches. Penelitian awal dilaksanakan di salah satu SMA Negeri di Semarang. Populasi dan sampel penelitian berturut-turut adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MIPA dan X MIPA 3. Populasi diberikan tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Sampel diberikan angket curiosity. Rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif dari 10 kelas X MIPA adalah 69,4. Rata-rata rasa ingin tahu siswa kelas X MIPA 3 adalah 169,3. Kesimpulannya (1) kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa belum optimal dalam pembelajaran, karena guru menyusun pembelajaran matematika belum terfokus pada kemampuan berpikir kreatif; (2) karakter rasa ingin tahu siswa belum optimal; dan (3) karakter rasa ingin tahu berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Hasil penelitian mengakibatkan guru mengembangkan curiosity dan media serta proses pembelajaran siswa untuk menumbuhkan kemamampuan berpikir kreatif mereka.

Its was recorded that in 2019 the residents of Magelang Regency produced 580 tons of waste. This fact illustrates that waste is still a problem in Magelang Regency, including in Dawung Village. Waste management with the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle (3R) offers a solutiom to alleviating waste problems. howwver, its implementation is still not optimal. The reason, not evenly distributed public insight about the discourse. Therefore, programs to strengthem communjty knowledge relate to 3R waste management and waste management into gooda with new values are interesting to implement. There are four strages of implementing this community service peogram namelu situatiok analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The result of the implementation of this program is that Dawung Village residents’ insights have opened up about the 3R waste managemen proses and enriched residents’ skills in managing waste into goods with new value.

The purpose of this Community Service (PkM) activity is to maximize the use of the Liveworkssheets platform. In carrying out service, the method used is Asset Based Community-driven Development. The training and mentoring process begins with the first stage being pre-implementation, the second stage is the implementation of research, and the third stage is research evaluation which is divided into five stages (Define, Discovery, Dream, Design, and Deliver or Destiny). This activity was attended by 15 mathematics teachers who are members of the MGMP Mathematics MTs/SMP Rayon 2 Jambi City community. The results of the activities include: 1) Increased understanding from MGMP Mathematics MTs/SMP Rayon 2 Jambi City teachers about the importance of digital literacy. 2)Increased technical knowledge of participants from initially not knowing to knowing after getting training using the Liveworksheets platform. 3)Teachers are interested in using the liveworksheets platform when compiling questions for the purposes of midterm tests or end-of-semester tests because of the ease of compiling and checking students' answers.
