Village-owned enterprises play a crucial role in the economic development of the community. Therefore, it has been decided that villages will receive financial aid from the district or city government, in the form of village funds. These funds are allocated to BUMDes (Village-Owned Enterprises) with the aim of enhancing the economy and the well-being of the community in the villages of Barito Kuala Regency. There are 133 village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) in the Barito Kuala area. 33 out of the total 133 BUMDes are engaged in the agricultural sector. Due to the agricultural potential of the tidal land in Barito Kuala Regency, the local communities have established BUMDes, which are focused on agricultural activities. The objective is to identify the institutional strengthening model that affects the perception of innovation in BUMDes activities in the agriculture sector on tidal land in Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan Province. The objective is to identify the pivotal aspects that impact the institutional strengthening model. A total of one hundred samples were utilized. The employed analytical tools include descriptive analysis, product moment correlation analysis, Cronbach’s alpha, and structural equation model (SEM) analysis. The findings of the research suggest that exogenous latent variables have a substantial influence of 76.8% on the institutional function of BUMDes, whilst other variables not included in the model have an impact of 23.2%. The R2 value for Y2, which measures individual skill in managing innovation, is 0.864. These findings indicate that external hidden factors explain 86.4% of the differences in individual skill in innovation management, while the remaining 13.6% can be attributed to other variables that were not considered in the analysis. The analytical findings of the path coefficients in the structural model reveal the presence of five influential paths. This pathway establishes connections between various factors: X1 (representing individual characteristics) and Y1 (representing the institutional role of BUMDes); X1 (representing individual characteristics) and Y2 (representing individual capabilities in managing innovation); X2 (representing the use of communication media) and Y1 (representing the institutional role of BUMDes); X3 (representing BUMDes dynamics) and Y1 (representing the institutional role of BUMDes); X4 (representing the external environment) and Y1 (representing the institutional role of BUMDes); X5 (representing the quality of information) and Y1 (representing the institutional role of BUMDes); X5 (representing information quality) and Y2 (representing individual capability in managing innovation); and Y1 (representing the institutional role of BUMDes) and Y2 (representing individual capability in managing innovation).

Village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) are very important for the community to develop the village economy, for those villages receive assistance from the district government in the form of village funds that are distributed to BUMDes. There are 133 BUMDes in Barito Kuala Regency, 33 of which are engaged in agriculture. Barito Kuala has agricultural potential with tidal land, so that the existing villages form BUMDes which are engaged in agriculture. Based on this, a study was conducted to determine farmers' perceptions of the allocation of village funds used for the management of BUMDes engaged in agriculture on tidal lands of Barito Kuala Regency, as well as the relationship between farmers' perceptions and the characteristics of the farmers themselves. The analysis carried out is the interval method with categories. The number of samples had taken as many as 60 respondents. The majority of farmer respondents are in the 41-45 year age group, with the highest average education level from junior high school and below, and with the number of members mostly in the number of household members of 2 people, and with the most arable land area of 0,75-1 ha.

One of the programs that can be implemented by women managing watersheds (DAS) in an effort to improve family welfare and preserve the environment, especially in the food sector, is the program for planting and utilizing the watershed environment as a place to plant Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA). This program also responds to the decline in people's purchasing power due to increasingly expensive drug prices, so that it indirectly has an impact on the decline in public health status. The general purpose of the research is to see the efforts of empowering women around the Martapura watershed in the use of yard land to plant TOGA by formulating strategies and programs for women's empowerment. To answer these objectives, a SWOT analysis was carried out to determine the strategy and then continued with the Process Hierarchy (AHP) analysis to determine the priority strategy. The total score of internal and external factors is 1.4384 and 0.2465, respectively. So it can be concluded that the strategy of Empowering Women Around the Martapura Watershed in the use of yard land for TOGA farming is in quadrant I position, a very favorable condition. The priority strategies based on the results of questionnaire data processing using the AHP method are WO2: developing products produced through processing results (38.52%), WO1: conducting partnership programs between producers and marketing agencies (27.50%), SO1: relying on product advantages (11.78%), SO2: promoting socialization of the use of family medicinal plant cultivation (TOGA) through face-to-face and social media (7.95%), WT1: establishment of a medicinal plant market by the relevant agencies (6.64%), ST1 : re-encouragement of extensions to business actors of family medicinal plants (TOGA) (4.53%), and ST2: holding seminars/business promotions regarding the benefits of using family medicinal plants (TOGA) (7.56%).

The Applying Wolbachia to Eliminate Dengue (AWED) trial was a parallel cluster randomised trial that demonstrated Wolbachia (wMel) introgression into Ae. aegypti populations reduced dengue incidence. In this predefined substudy, we compared between treatment arms, the relative abundance of Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus before, during and after wMel-introgression. Between March 2015 and March 2020, 60,084 BG trap collections yielded 478,254 Ae. aegypti and 17,623 Ae. albopictus. Between treatment arms there was no measurable difference in Ae. aegypti relative abundance before or after wMel-deployments, with a count ratio of 0.96 (95% CI 0.76, 1.21) and 1.00 (95% CI 0.85, 1.17) respectively. More Ae. aegypti were caught per trap per week in the wMel-intervention arm compared to the control arm during wMel deployments (count ratio 1.23 (95% CI 1.03, 1.46)). Between treatment arms there was no measurable difference in the Ae. albopictus population size before, during or after wMel-deployment (overall count ratio 1.10 (95% CI 0.89, 1.35)). We also compared insecticide resistance phenotypes of Ae. aegypti in the first and second years after wMel-deployments. Ae. aegypti field populations from wMel-treated and untreated arms were similarly resistant to malathion (0.8%), permethrin (1.25%) and cyfluthrin (0.15%) in year 1 and year 2 of the trial. In summary, we found no between-arm differences in the relative abundance of Ae. aegypti or Ae. albopictus prior to or after wMel introgression, and no between-arm difference in Ae. aegypti insecticide resistance phenotypes. These data suggest neither Aedes abundance, nor insecticide resistance, confounded the epidemiological outcomes of the AWED trial., Competing Interests: The authors have declared that no competing interests exist.

The successful establishment of the wMel strain of Wolbachia for the control of arbovirus transmission by Aedes aegypti has been proposed and is being implemented in a number of countries. Here we describe the successful establishment of the wMel strain of Wolbachia in four sites in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. We demonstrate that Wolbachia can be successfully introgressed after transient releases of wMel-infected eggs or adult mosquitoes. We demonstrate that the approach is acceptable to communities and that Wolbachia maintains itself in the mosquito population once deployed. Finally, our data show that spreading rates of Wolbachia in the Indonesian setting are slow which may reflect more limited dispersal of Aedes aegypti than seen in other sites such as Cairns, Australia., Competing Interests: The authors have declared that no competing interests exist.
