Nastavni predmet Informatika uveden je u hrvatski školski sustav prije nekoliko desetljeća kada je središnja tema bila izučavanje svojstava računalnih sustava. Međutim, danas se naglasak stavlja na računalne postupke i algoritme koji su primjenljivi u svim granama ljudske djelatnosti uključujući sva područja znanosti i obrazovanja. Zbog toga su strukovne udruge koje djeluju u području računarstva i informacijske tehnologije pokrenule niz rasprava u koje su se uključile i visokoškolske ustanove. Zaključeno je da se pod nazivom Informatika u hrvatskom obrazovnom sustavu uobičajeno podrazumijevaju tri vrste aktivnosti: stjecanje vještina za uporabu informacijske i komunikacijske tehnologije (digitalna pismenost) ; uporaba informacijske i komunikacijske tehnologije u obrazovnom procesu (edukacijska tehnologija, e-učenje) ; rješavanje problema računalom uz uporabu nekog programskog jezika. Nadalje, utvrđeno je da težište obrazovnog procesa u predmetu Informatika u osnovnim i srednjim škola mora biti na rješavanju problema jer upravo ta aktivnost kod učenika potiče razvoj algoritamskog odnosno računalnog načina razmišljanja (engl. computational thinking) koje omogućuje razumijevanje, analizu i rješavanje problema odabirom odgovarajućih strategija i programskih rješenja. Za očekivati je da bi ovakav pristup oblikovanja nastave informatike, posebice u osnovnoj školi, pridonio poboljšanju rezultata hrvatskih učenika u PISA istraživanjima. Jedan od osnovnih preduvjeta preobrazbe nastave informatike je organiziranje dodatne izobrazbe postojećih učitelja i nastavnika.

Ovaj priručnik prvenstveno je namijenjen učiteljima Informatike kao potpora za usvajanje osnova računalnog razmišljanja i programskog rješavanja različitih problema u aktualnom procesu inoviranja nastave Informatike u osnovnim školama. U uvodnim se poglavljima postupno uvode osnovni elementi programskog jezika koji se koriste kod oblikovanja računalnog programa: programske varijable, funkcije, naredbe pridruživanja, grananja i ponavljanja, tipovi podataka. Objašnjena su i osnovna načela izrade urednih i čitkih programa, kao što je grupiranje naredbi u programske funkcije, izrada modula i komentiranje dijelova programa. Svi programski elementi uvode se kroz jednostavne praktične primjere u kojima se pokazuje kako se računalno razmišljanje i matematičko promišljanje međusobno nadopunjuju pri rješavanju problema. U završnim se poglavljima kroz složenije primjere pokazuje kako se njihovom kombinacijom pripremaju računalni programi za rješavanje problema pa i za razumijevanje složenijih pojava u različitim područjima primjene.

Smjernice za strategiju odgoja, obrazovanja, znanosti i tehnologije Ministarstva znanosti, obrazovanja i sporta sadrže elemente za izgradnju hrvatskog inovacijskog ekosustava koje se temelje na konceptu trokuta znanja i prijedloga za njegovu provedbu. Trokutom znanja povezuje se obrazovanje, istraživanje i inovativnost, kao i obrazovna, istraživačka i poslovna zajednica, sa svojim zasebnim ulogama i zajedničkim ciljevima. Razrada tako postavljenog inovacijskog ekosustava obuhvaća inovacijske modele i procese, njegovu istraživačku komponentu te transdisciplinarnost, umrežavanje i sinergiju u djelovanju na nacionalnom planu. Posebno se razmatra uloga istraživačkog sveučilišta, odnos prema poduzeću zasnovanom na znanju te oblicima suradnje na zajedničkim projektima, uključujući doktorska istraživanja

The paper deals with the problem of task scheduling in embedded real-time computing systems, specially aperiodic tasks scheduling with soft deadlines. Algorithms for aperiodic tasks scheduling must satisfy hard deadlines of aperiodic tasks and anticipate good average response times of aperiodic tasks with soft deadlines. There are two basic approaches to servicing aperiodic requests with soft deadlines - background processing and polling tasks, the characteristics of which are improved by algorithms of a priority exchange server and a deferrable server. Better results in scheduling are obtained by using the sporadic server algorithm. Basic principles are given, applicabillity of procedures and improvements is evaluated through graphic presentation of scheduling.

Machining of free-form surfaces requires an accurate and efficient tool trajectory planning. In order to apply any of different planning strategies, a well-defined surface description function must be provided. This usually makes the first step of the complex manufacturing task and represents the main goal of the reverse engineering approach. In this paper we are concerned with the problem of constructing triangulation which satisfactorily approximates an original model surface and provides a convenient support for the tool-path planning CAD applications. According to that, the global approximating surface construction algorithm is presented. An example of the hemisphere approximation illustrates algorithm performance and supports the discussion upon the algorithm optimality criteria.

Suvremeni koncepti obrazovanja teže fleksibilnosti i individualiziranosti, univerzalnosti, kreativnosti, kvaliteti i ekstenzivnosti (cjeloživotnosti). Neprekinuti krug zastarijevanja i ekspanzije informacija zahtijeva od obrazovnih sustava da pojedince pripreme za aktivno, kreativno i informirano uključivanje u suvremene tijekove. Sposobnosti informiranog donošenja odluka, upravljanja informacijama i vlastitim procesom učenja (znati učiti) u takvom okruženju postaju elementarna težnja obrazovnih aktivnosti na svim razinama. Tijekom rasprave, nakon što se svaki sudionik predstavi, očekuje se da se ponude vlastita motrišta na nekoliko pitanja: Višekratno se isticalo da je preobrazbu hrvatskog školstva na svim razinama potrebno temeljiti na osmišljenoj razradi kompetencija koje bi se trebale stjecati tijekom obvezatnog školovanja. • U kojoj se mjeri ostvaruju takva očekivanja, koje su pretpostavke do sada uspješno zadovoljene, koji su izazovi i mogućnosti pred nama. Promjene u akademskome obrazovanju tijekom posljednja dva desetljeća značajno se oslanjaju na koncept samostalnog učenja koje se suprotstavlja dotad prevladavajućem konceptu podučavanja, poglavito kada se radi o srednjoeuropskoj akademskoj tradiciji. • Da li obrazovni planovi i programi u osnovnoškolskom i srednjoškolskom okruženju uspješno odgovaraju na očekivanja akademske zajednice? Osiguravaju li stjecanje ključnih kompetencija, osobito matematičke, digitalne, za kulturni izričaj i za stjecanje znanja? Važnost tehnološke i informacijske infrastrukture za obrazovanje u intelektualnom okruženju koje se odlikuje usmjerenošću na informacijske izvore, privrženost ideji slobodnog pristupa informacijama i razvoju raznolikih kompetencija. • Da li, prema Vašem mišljenju, tehnološka i informacijska infrastruktura prate potrebe obrazovnih ustanova? Iako je informacijsku pismenost potrebno razvijati na svim razinama obrazovanja, posebno je važno da je steknu oni studenti koji se školuju za buduće nastavnike jer će se na taj će način najbolje osigurati prijenos znanja i vještina na buduće generacije učenika. • Da li su studijski programi za obrazovanje budućih nastavnika u skladu s potrebama i očekivanjima temeljenim na strateškim dokumentima Republike Hrvatske, HAZU-u i dr.

This paper represents a technical overview of a current state in the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Over The Air (OTA) Generic Content Download method for mobile phones. It shows currently used download methods like Basic HTTP Download and MIDlet Download method. It describes architecture of the OMA Download system and different OMA Download processes. The paper analyzes Status Report Functionality in Download process. It points out problem with Status Report reception, and gives solution to the problem that could also be applied on the Mobile Digital Rights Management systems.

This paper represents a technical overview of a current state in the Mobile Digital Rights Management (MDRM). It describes Download architecture and different DRM use cases specified by Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) DRM standards. OMA DRM technologies, such as Rights Expression Language, DRM Content Format, and Cryptography are discussed. The paper analyzes security model, specially, rights integrity, content confidentiality and rights-content association integrity. It points out problems in security model that were not solved in OMA DRM version 1 specification. The paper also shows the limitations for developing security model in MDRM systems.

A high level of diversity, timing variability and renewability characterizes today's heterogeneous computing environment. In addition to static-dynamic mapping and prediction, the remapping procedure can significantly improve system performance. Causes of remapping, as well as adjustment of threshold, period, horizon and shift determine remapping. Sporadic servers and especially multiple sporadic servers represent a natural mechanism of remapping. They enable a fair and more effective usage of environment resources. Experimental evaluation shows a significant improvement of application execution and system autonomy.

We show concept of BB84 quantum key distribution (QKD) protocol and analyze its use as an information system. The difference between classical and quantum cryptography is presented in a way of understanding the main advantage of quantum information processing over classical information processing. At the end of the article, we present today and future use of quantum cryptography and possible impact on security of information systems.

This paper describes several methods for evaluation of kinematic parameters of a Stewart platform. One of those methods is the calculation of workspace area both in numerical and graphical form. The second method allows us to analyze and estimate inherent mechanism errors that occur due to actuator errors, elastic and thermal deformations and other error sources. Furthermore, another procedure is presented which calculates certain kinematic parameters throughout the workspace area of the model and outputs them as numerical and graphical data. Finally, a forward kinematics algorithm designed for use in real-time conditions and its adaptation is presented. The described algorithms are implemented and made available as web services on the project web site (http://hexapod.zemris.fer.hr/).

The mapping procedure integrates procedures of matching and scheduling. Environment heterogeneity increases mapping complexity, but it also provides a wider range of possibilities for meeting different intensive application requirements uniformly. On the basis of existing mapping models, a three-component model has been proposed which takes into account features of applications, machines and mapping procedures. An application can be considered both on a general level and the task level. In addition to its internal characteristics, the machine plays an important role in communication. The mapping procedure has its internal and external features relative to the heterogeneous environment. The proposed notation of a heterogeneous model as well as the model of interfacing systems of a different heterogeneity level make a sound foundation for multi-criterial mapping in both the computational grid and the production system.

Hexapod characteristic analyzed in this paper is the effect of small errors within its elements (strut lengths, joint placement) which can be caused by manufacturing tolerances or setting up errors or other even unknown sources to end effector. If all error values are known or can be calculated then they can be included in a model which will eliminate their defective effect. In practice there are very few error elements that are known in advance. For all others their values can just be assumed. What can be done now is to find a way to approximate value for maximal end effector displacement. The method we propose is a numerical method which is based on differential equations of close loop vector chains. The method can be used to calculate maximal end effector error for specific position and also for validation of entire hexapod workspace area, as shown in this paper.

Changes in Croatia related to preparation for its acession to EU.

Parallel kinematic manipulators posses some inherent advantages over their serial counterparts, such as rigidity, precision and higher workload. However, their movement control is restricted to inverse kinematics only, because of the complexity of the forward kinematics relations. The aim of this work is to combine different mathematical representations of the forward kinematics problem with various optimization algorithms and find a suitable combination that may be utilized in real-time environment. Additionally, we note the existence of equivalent trajectories of the mobile platform and suggest an adaptation to the solving method that, having satisfied certain assumptions, is able to successfully solve the forward kinematics problem in real-time conditions with very high precision.

This paper deals with the problem of evaluation of scheduling algorithms in real – time uniprocessor systems. There are several algorithms for the scheduling of the mixture of periodic and aperiodic task sets. The developed tool for evaluation of scheduling algorithms could generate input task sets, simulate algorithm execution and analyze scheduling results. It is possible to evaluate algorithms through the mutual comparison of the displayed timing properties based on the sufficient number of experiments and the proposed evaluation criteria. Simplicity of evaluation criteria is based on diagrams that show mean aperiodic response time, number of missed deadlines and resource utilization in the dependency of change of aperiodic or periodic workload. This tool is open to the new algorithm implementation and evaluation.

Informacijska i komunikacijska tehnologija je svakako najprodornije generička tehnologija današnjice. Ona nalazi primjene u svakoj grani gospodarstva i podloga je za djelovanje državnih i društvenih struktura. Zbog svojih mogućnosti prikupljanja, pohranjivanja, prenošenja i obrade informacija ona je toliko unaprijedila cijelo društvo koje se u razvijenim zemljama može već danas nazvati informacijskim društvom. Informacijska i komunikacijska tehnologija čine podlogu za kreativnu i djelotvornu upotrebu znanja. Znanje i inteligentno korištenje informacija postaju ključni faktori novog gospodarstva te se umjesto sintagme informacijsko društvo sve češće koristi i sintagma društvo znanja. U Republici Hrvatskoj treba stvoriti uvjete za nesmetano širenje istraživanja, razvoja, proizvodnje i svih oblika uporabe informacijske i komunikacijske tehnologije koja je prijeko potrebna za priključivanje razvijenom svijetu. Ona može značajno utjecati na sveopći napredak društva i poslužiti kao poluga za rješavanje mnogih kritičnih točaka. Uporaba informacijske i komunikacijske tehnologije pomaže razvitku informacijskog društva i društva znanja u kojem znanje postaje neizostavnim osnovnim faktorom proizvodnje.

Strategija razvitka Republike Hrvatske na području informacijske i komunikacijske tehnologije

Genetic algorithms usually require more computation power than other heuristic approaches do. In this paper we introduce an efficient implementation of asynchronously global parallel genetic algorithm with 3-tournament elimination selection. The parallelization of the algorithm is achieved through multithreading mechanism, a very effective and easy to implement technique. With parallelization we can get a significant decrease in computational time on a multiprocessor system. Reducing interprocess communication is a key to getting high performance in parallel computing. That is the reason why the asynchronous model is used. Described model of global PGA is suitable for implementation on a shared memory multiprocessor.

Mixture of periodic and aperiodic task sets is very often in the scheduling. This mixture is scheduled by the combination of the periodic and aperiodic tasks scheduling algorithms. Validation of these algorithms could be made by the developed visual software support. Timing properties of the scheduling algorithms are in opposition to the resource utilization and workload. Diagrams of the aperiodic response time, number of missed deadlines and resource utilization gives possibility for the mutual comparison of the tested algorithms. The validation is performed through the proposed criteria. Algorithms with the server tasks and bandwidth preservation give better results.

Paper presents a technique for a state space reconstruction from chaotic scalar time series. It is based on delay coordinate method, which is extended using different delays when doing state space reconstruction. Compared to the case when equal delays are used, this technique may be used to achieve lower minimum embedding dimension when dealing with poorly sampled time series, but also with some fairly sampled. Alse, it may be applied to select reasonable and reduced set of input variables to neural network when dealing with time series prediction problem.

Prijenosom informacijske tehnologije iz razvijenih zemalja i njezinom prilagodbom za različite konkretne potrebe mogu se polučiti značajni rezultati. Interdisciplinarnom suradnjom stručnjaka iz područja informacijskih tehnologija moguće je doći do novih rješenja koja bi mogla biti zanimljiva i u svjetskim razmjerima.

In this paper we introduce an efficient implementation of asynchronously parallel genetic algorithm with adaptive genetic operators. The classic genetic algorithm paradigm is extended with parallelization on one hand and an adaptive operators method on the other. The parallelization of the algorithm is achieved through multithreading mechanism, a very effective and easy to implement technique. With parallelization we can get a better program structure and a significant decrease in computational time on a multiprocessor system. The adaptive method presented here determines the way in which the genetic operators are applied, not interfering with the operators themselves. It uses certain population characteristic values to estimate the diversity of the solutions in problem space and acts accordingly either to prevent premature convergence or to exploit the promising areas. The improvement we achieve with adaptation is twofold: the designed algorithm performs better over a range of domains and the user is also relieved of the task of defining its parameters. The described parallel adaptive genetic algorithm (PAGA) is applied to optimization of several multimodal functions with various degrees of complexity, employed earlier for comparative studies. Furthermore, a non-uniform mutation operator is introduced in this work and its influence on algorithm's performance is recognized.

This paper reviews methods for chaotic time series analysis. It presents methods for detecting and quantification of chaotic behaviour from experimental time series. Reconstruction of attractor from time series is important prerequisite for analysis. It consists of determining the minimum embedding dimension and choosing the apropriate time delay. Various methods to accomplish these tasks are presented. Several measures of attractor dimension are briefly discussed. Correlation dimension and Grassberger-Procaccia method are treated in more detail.

U suvremenim se operacijskim sustavima odražava napredak mikroelektroničke i komunikacijske tehnologije u zadnjih desetak godina. Taj je napredak omogućio proizvodnju vrlo brzih i jeftinih procesora i ostvario mogućnost izgradnje ekonomičnih, vrlo efikasnih računalnih mreža. Time je postalo mnogo djelotvornije za mnoge primjene upotrijebiti nakupinu međusobno povezanih procesora umjesto pojedinačnih vrlo brzih procesora. Pri tom se koriste dvije osnovne arhitekture računalnih sustava i to: čvrsto povezani sustavi u kojima svi procesori dijele jedan zajednički spremnik i slabo povezani sustavi (raspodijeljeni sustavi) u kojima ne postoji zajednički spremnik i u kojima čvorovi, sastavljeni od procesora i lokalnih spremnika komunicirajurazmjenom poruka preko komunikacijske mreže. Današnji operacijski sustavi moraju podržavati sve varijante takvih heterogenih radnih okruženja.

This paper describes task systems with precedence constraints, input error and end-to-end deadlines. An imprecise-comuptation technique is introduced to schedule the task systems preemptively on one processor. We describe the input error effects and present a two-level scheduling algorithm for scheduling the task systems.

This paper describes problems encountered in the developement of an environment for nonlinear dynamical systems analysis. We present the implementation of some fundamental numerical techniques for dynamical systems analysis and address problems of visualisation of obtained solutions.

Ovaj rad je uvodni kratki pregled postupaka neizrazitog izračunavanja, neuronskih mreža i genetskih algoritama koji čine sastavne dijelove koncepta približnog izračunavanja.

The choice of chromosome representation in genetic algorithms depends on the variables of the optimization problem being solved. If the variables are real-valued, the chromosomes can be represented as fixed-point integer values which enables the use of classical genetic operators defined for binary strings. Another possible chromosome representation is using floating-point numbers directly. In this case, genetic operators have to be defined additionaly. This paper presents a different approach: floating-point chromosome representation with traditional genetic operators. In order to achieve fine local tuning of the solutions, a mapping is defined which dynamically changes the operating scope of genetic operators.

Istražene su mogućnosti ostvarivanja tehničke osnovice za informacijski sustav lokalne samouprave i državne uprave u Županij Istarskoj, s naglaskom na uvjete prostorne raspršenosti upravnih tijela.

U ovom preglednom radu opisuju se normizacijske aktivnosti u području računalne i komunikacijske tehnologije za koje se u posljednje vrijeme sve češće koristi objedinjavajući naziv informacijska tehnologija (IT). Ukazuje se na mogućnosti danjašnjih tehnoloških rješenja i važnost standardizacije na svim razinama ostvarivanja sustava. Posebice se obrazlaže osnovna zamisao otvorenih sustava koja bi trebala omogućiti jednostavniju izgradnju i prirodni rast računalnih sustava.

Opisuje se rješenje upravljanja "skidača" u valjaonici sitnih profila. U sistemu za pozicioniranje istosmjerni motor se napaja iz pretvarača s antiparalelno spojenim trofaznim punoupravljivim tiristorskim usmjerivačima. Pogon radi u start-stop režimu rada. Regulatori položaja i brzine vrtnje zasnovani su na 8-bitovnom mikroprocesoru. Djelovanje sistema s razvijenom i realiziranom regulacijskom jedinicom ilustrira se oscilogramskim snimcima.

U studiji su istražene mogućnosti projektiranja elektroničkih sklopova upotrebom simulacijskih programa SPICE, CORNAP i OPTIMA. Postavljene su osnovne smjernice postupka projektiranja tj. sinteze sklopova računalom, te analize električnog ponašanja sklopva u vremenskoj i frekvencijskoj domeni. Istražene su karakteristike, u programe ugrađenih, modela poluvodičkih komponenata, te su dani prijedlozi daljnjeg poboljšanja modela.

U članku se opisuje pristup izradi programa za proračun pouzdanosti različitih memorijskih sistema. Posebna pažnja usmjerena je na memorijske sisteme koji su posebno projektirani da bi zadovoljili visoke zahtjeve za pouzdanošću. Program određuje pouzdanost memorijskog sistema polazeći od zadane pouzdanosti blokova memorije. Pouzdanost bloka memorij računa se u programu prema MIL-HDBK-217B.

Opisuje se sinteza digitalnog sustava regulacije pozicije skidača valjanih profila promjera 250mm na hladnjaku sitne valjačke pruge u valjanici željezare. Radi se o mikroračunarskom sustavu regulacije položaja s istosmjernim motorom koji se napaja iz trofaznog antiparalelnog tiristorskog usmjerivača bez kružnih struja. Regulatori položaja i brzine vrtnje su digitalni, a regulator struje armature motora je analogni. Sinteza disktretnih krugova regulacije položaja i brzine vrtnje izvedena je kotištenjem z. transformacije i biliniarne (z-w) transformacije. Razvijena je programska podrška za određivanje parametara regulatora položaja i brzine vrtnje uz zahtijevano fazno osiguranje sustava. Rezultati sinteze su provjereni na simulacijskom modelu pogona, koji je realiziran korištenjem simulacijskog grafičkog programa MATRIXX i System-BUILD. Rješenje je provjereno u u pravljanju elektromotornim pogonom u valjaonici.
