The prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic which took place in early 2020 – 2022 made regional leaders disseminate information about preventing Covid-19 through their respective social media by relying on access to information technology and social media owned by regional leaders. This research aims to analyze critical discourse based on Teun van Dijk's method which is divided into microstructure, superstructure and microstructure aspects. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with the type of research in the form of library research or library research which focuses on documentary analysis which refers to on the Instagram posts of regional heads Wahidin Halim (Governor of Banten Province) @wh_wahidinhalim, Anies Baswedan (Governor of DKI Jakarta) @aniesbaswedan, Ridwan Kamil (Governor of West Java) @ridwankamil, Ganjar Pranowo (Governor of Central Java) @ganjar_pranowo, and Khofifah Indar Parawansa ( Governor of East Java) @khofifah.ip. The results of research in critical discourse analysis according to Teun A. Van Djik's model are divided into three aspects, namely macro structure, superstructure and micro structure. This aspect can be found in social media posts with the same pattern, so it can be concluded that the aspect of critical discourse analysis in Instagram posts during the Covid-19 pandemic was that regional heads (governors) gave recommendations and appeals to the public to comply with health protocols and reduce activities outside the home.

The issue of character is an important global issue to be pursued together. This study examines the educational values in Serat Sari Swara by Ki Hadjar Dewantara (KHD). The research used qualitative methods focused on hermeneutic analysis. The source of the data is Serat Sari Swara published in 1930. The results showed that Serat Sari Swara represents the values of character education. Character education values include working hard, obeying rules, living simply, patiently, conscientiously, and sincerely, courteously, courteously, and religiously. Serat Sari Swara, as an influential cultural product, not only entertains but also serves as a medium to instill positive virtues in society. These values are influenced by Javanese culture as the origin of the authors. An important implication of the research is that swara sari fiber can be a medium for character education for students and the wider community. This is expected to contribute to efforts to deal with character problems in a global context.

Candida albicans grows rapidly when the microflora becomes imbalanced due to a variety of factors. Its ability to infect a host is aided by its virulence factors, such as biofilm. This study aimed to evaluate the activity of clover honey in inhibiting and degrading the biofilm formation of C. albicans in vitro. This study used a true experimental design with an in vitro post-test-only control group design approach. The microtiter plate assay was used to grow planktonic cells and biofilm. This method was carried out to obtain the Optical Density (OD) value for each test, measured by a Microplate Reader. Cell viability was measured using the MTS Assay kit, the biofilm matrix was measured using the Crystal Violet Assay, and the morphology of C. albicans biofilms was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Probit and One-way ANOVA tests were applied to determine the MIC50 of both planktonic and biofilm, as well as statistical analysis. The results showed that clover honey exerted inhibitory activity against C. albicans planktonic cells at a MIC50value of 31.60% w/v. At the highest concentration, clover honey exhibited antibiofilm activity by lowering the extracellular matrix and viability of C. albicans cells by 64.59% and 72.09%, respectively. Based on SEM observation, clover honey changed the cell morphology of C. albicans and reduced the thickness of the biofilm. Overall, our findings concluded that clover honey exhibited antifungal properties against C. albicans by inhibiting biofilm formation and degrading mature biofilm.

Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) or Ready-to-Use Supplementary Food (RUSF) has been widely used in home-based treatment for severely and moderately acute malnourished children. These programs showed positive results in short term nutritional recovery in children, which were reported in some research settings. Nowadays, the RUTF/RUSF formulation has been improved using a variety of RUTF/RUSF from locally available food ingredients. This paper aims to review the essential aspects of the development and provision of RUTF/RUSF made from local food resources and monitor program effectiveness that warrants the program’s sustainability. The modified recipes of RUTF/RUSF were developed following the international dietary guidelines for the rehabilitation of severely and moderately acute malnourished children. The local production of RUTF/RUSF provided some benefits that include empowering the local community, consideration of the common eating pattern, promoting the diversification of food consumption, strengthening food security, as well as supporting the sustainability of RUTF/RUSF production. Results of the PRISMA-based systematic literature review revealed various ingredient developments and processing techniques which could improve the product characteristics and sensory evaluation. RUTF/RUSF in local food production provided different food carriers (e.g., biscuits, wafers) and seemed to be more readily accepted by the children. Furthermore, the program sustainability of RUTF/RUSF depends on a continuous ingredients supply and support from the local government. The findings presented the importance of development of such food supplements based on the local food resources and with improved technology for prevention and rehabilitation of malnourished children.

Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) is Indonesian language learning intended for foreigners. The aim of this research was to examine the vocabulary, terminologies, and grammar used by BIPA students with the corpus linguistics application, Kortara. This research was conducted at Fatoni University and Yale University with 51 BIPA students. This research used a mixed-methods approach, comprising the quantitative method that was used in the early stage of research to obtain the research data and the qualitative method for the analysis process. The research results showed dominant mastery of vocabulary by BIPA students, mostly nouns, verbs, adverbs, pronouns, and adjectives. There were 11 vocabularies with the highest frequency. Based on the results of the analysis, effective and efficient vocabulary learning principles and techniques were structured for BIPA students as an introduction to word types and variations of word formation in the Indonesian language.

The purpose of this research is to describe the challenges and factors causing difficulties of deaf students in mastering writing skills at inclusive universities in Indonesia. This research is focused in Central Java province because of the more universities are considered as inclusive universities. This research was conducted in September-December 2022. The subjects in this research were selected using the purposive sampling method. Based on these limits, 35 Deaf students from six inclusive universities were obtained as respondents. The data collection techniques used questionnaires, observations, interviews, and concentrated discussions. Furthermore, the data analysis steps undertaken consisted of: (a) data analysis, (b) data revision, and (c) data verification. The results of this research concluded that the challenges experienced by students were broadly related to: (a) difficulty in mastering vocabulary, (b) understanding punctuation, and (c) difficulty if mastering complex sentences. As for more specifically related to academic text writing skills, the obstacles experienced by students including: (a) composing effective sentences, (b) developing paragraphs, (c) paraphrasing techniques, (d) writing academic texts in accordance with linguistic rules, and (e) writing bibliography. Furthermore, factors causing the occurrence of the obstacles in the mastery of academic text writing skills including: (a) unaccessible learning resources, (b) less effectively interwoven communication during lectures, and (c) different sentence structure in Sign Language with Indonesian sentence structure.

The greatest source of GHG emission from energy sector comes from fossil fuel combustion. According to PLN, 63.75% of electricity distribution in South Sumatra is derived from coal combustion. Coal is a non-renewable energy source and will deplete in a few decades. The research objective is solving problems related to energy efficiency and GHG emission reduction by reducing electricity consumption in street lighting sector. The research method was carried out through SPSS statistical analysis and LEAP analysis which had been justified based on observation on the survey results of 1,619 street lighting unit at four distribution areas of Palembang. The implementation of electrical energy efficiency is carried out by replacing Son T 250 W lamps into LED lamps with different power. The SPSS statistical analysis determines that 1,000-unit street lightstreet lighting require light intensity quality of 1,570 lux with correlation coefficient of 0.214. GHG mitigation was conducted in accordance with convenience and safety standards for road users in which energy efficiency from the replacement of 3,741-unit energy-saving lamps can reduce GHG emissions by 1,650.9138 tons of CO2e with benefit economic 2,911,481,740 rupiahs. In addition, based on LEAP analysis, if 8000 units of LED lamps replace Son T lamps, the electricity consumption of Street Lighting in 2030 will decrease with a projected efficiency of 17.48%.

This research aims to describe the use of foreign languages on billboards in Surakarta. This research was a single case study obtained from the objective data of billboards along Slamet Riyadi Street Surakarta. The data sources were from the commercial billboards considering several criteria that have been determined in which the billboards should not be owned by either district government or individual, for campaign purposes, made in 2018, and so on. Those billboards are billboard from Gofood, McDonald's, and Samsung Galaxy Note9. Subsequently, effective data were obtained through observation and interview from informants in readability process. Manifestation of billboard as a form of discourse generates meaning based on critical discourse analysis approach. In addition to the function of billboard as marketing aspect of the company, it also functions to deliver important information, knowledge, and educative information for the readers. This research results show that the readability, meaning, and function of foreign languages assumption on advertisement of billboard are different from the marketing concept. Nonetheless, an emergence of foreign languages provides space for the readers to learn the vocabulary in facing globalization era. Moreover, it also reminds us not to forget the existing culture in Surakarta.

The research location is geologically located in Jambi Sub-basin composed by Peneta Formation (KJp), Airbenakat (Tma), and Muara Enim (Tmpm). Specifically this research focuses on the physical characteristics and geochemistry of Middle Miocene black shale from Airbenakat Formation. The purpose of this research is to determine whether the black shale of this formation has the potential as a source rock. The method of this research are field observation that includes the description of rock samples and geological mapping, and laboratory analysis including rock geochemical analysis. Three samples were taken from black and fine-grained shale. Total organic carbon (TOC) values of the three samples taken ranged from 0.38-0.42%, the weight of TOC indicates a potentially close enough to produce hydrocarbons. the pyrolysis results show that the S1 data gives a value below 0.5 HC/g and S2 gives a value below 2.5 HC/g, so it can be seen that the three rock samples that tested are not sufficient enough to produce hydrocarbons. Overall the sample has a S2/S3 ratio ranging from 0.09-0.23 and Tmax-HI data has values ranging from 8-19 mg HC/g TOC, so it can be seen that the ratio S2/S3 less than 1 and the value of the index hydrogen below 50 mg HC/g TOC, It can be concluded that the samples are derived from type IV kerogen. The maximum temperature (Tmax) of pyrolysis shows a value of less than 4350C, where the values range from 350-4280C. So, it can be interpreted that the three samples are immature source rocks because the catagenesis phase to produce hydrocarbons has not been achieved. The conclusions is the three samples of black shale tested indicate potential as immature source rock and has the close enough ability to produce hydrocarbons. The result of the analysis then comparable with the result analysis of Airbenakat Formation Black Shale in Palembang Sub-basin which has fair-well ability to produce hydrocarbons.

The change will always be experienced by the community, especially if it is already related to globalization. In addition to cultural degradation, the negative impact of globalization is lifestyle changes that are not following the values and norms of Indonesian society. At that time, religious values play an important role as a stronghold of negative things. The purpose of this study is to describe religious values by modern society amid globalization in the novel Impian Amerika by Kuntowijoyo. The data of this study are sentences or paragraphs describing the defense of religious values by modern society. The data source of this research is the Impian Amerika novel by Kuntowijoyo. The method used is descriptive qualitative with the technique of collecting recorded data and study of literature. Data analysis techniques using content analysis techniques. This research is important to do because, with the knowledge of religious values, a person will avoid negative things. Religious values will protect us from negativity.

The struggle for modernity gave rise to the degradation of the value of character education. At this stage the revitalization of the value of religious local wisdom in tradition needs to be developed again. The existence of nyadran tradition in Ngepringan continues to be developed by mixing the value of local wisdom with religious values. This unique combination is a form of local wisdom against the individual culture that developed in the community, the development of modernity. This means that the community can not only uphold the cultural values of the ancestors, and also cannot adapt the tradition to conditions, and still insert religious values in it. Nyadran tradition is still played by the Ngepringan community because they are spiritual tourism and become a harmonizer political, social, economic and spiritual life. The collection of data information is through observation and interview with the Ngepringan village community. The purpose of this study is to explore religious values in the Nyadran ceremony procession. This type of research is ethnography with qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques use techniques, interviews, documentation, and language content. The data analysis uses interactive analysis technique. The results of this study are to reveal and describe the religious values in the ceremony procession that need to be preserved and improved by the Ngepringan village community in the face of modernity. Pergulatan modernitas melahirkan degradasi nilai pendidikan karakter. Pada titik ini revitalisasi nilai kearifan lokal religius dalam tradisi perlu dikembangkan kembali. Eksistensi tradisi nyadran di Ngepringan terus dikembangkan dengan mencampur nilai kearifan lokal dengan nilai religius. Perpaduan yang unik ini merupakan bentuk kearifan lokal melawan budaya individualis yang berkembang di masyarakat mengikuti perkembangan modernitas. Hal ini bermakna bahwa masyarakat disana tidak hanya menjunjung nilai-nilai budaya dari para leluhur, melainkan juga mampu menyesuaikan tradisi dengan kondisi, serta masih menyisipkan nilai-nilai religius di dalamnya. Tradisi nyadran masih tetap dipertahankan oleh masyarakat Ngepringan dikarenakan nyadran sebagai wisata rohani serta menjadi penyelaras kehidupan politik, sosial, ekonomi, dan agama. Informasi data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan masyarakat desa Ngepringan. Tujuan studi ini untuk menggali nilai religius dalam prosesi upacara nyadran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah etnografi dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan analisis isi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis interaktif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah mengungkap dan mendeskripsikan nilai religius dalam prosesi upacara nyadran yang perlu terus dilestarikan dan ditingkatkan oleh masyarakat desa Ngepringan dalam menghadapi modernitas.

This research aimed to describe the development of scientific writing model based on PARMI. The stages included: creating prototypes; and developing models through four stages, focus group discussions, experts’ considerations, limited trials, and extensive trials. The research involved students and lecturers from STAIB (Islamic Bunga Bangsa Institute), STAIC (Islamic Institute of Cirebon), STAIMA (Islamic Institute of Ma’had Ali), and ISIF (Fahmina Institute of Islamic Studies) between July and December 2014. In these model included a philosophical foundation, either a concept or a principal; its application; and its effects. It finds that based on expert judgment, this model is feasible to be developed and piloted. The results of the limited trials provide some improvement, especially on the application of PARMI. Based on the results of extensive trials it can be concluded that PARMI can improve students’ ability in scientific writing.

Aphasia is a language disorder caused by brain injury. This study aimed at describing how the pragmatic process and forms on words and language phonemes of those suffering from global aphasia. The study is qualitative research using case study approach. The primary data on this study were collected by purposive sampling whose subject was a global aphasia sufferer who had obtained language rehabilitation during one-year period. The secondary data were taken by using in-depth interview with the family, therapist, and subject's neighborhood. The data were analyzed by comparing the in-depth interview result and the field notes of research. The result showed that the individual with global aphasia still had pragmatic abilities, although s/he could produce meaningless words and sounds. In addition, the individual with global aphasia used gesture and intonation to help convey the idea of her/his utterence. The gestures and intonations performed by the individual with global aphasia were nodding and shaking head, and moving hands; while the forms of intonation changes were sudden change in intonation, imitating sounds, and whisper.

Code-Mixing Javanese Language of Banyumasan in Indonesian Language Learning at Vocational High School. This research will describe: (1) the form of code mixing, and (2) the factor that causing of code mixing that occur in the process of Indonesian learning class. Data and data sources in this research are a written data about speech that appear in a process of Indonesian language learning. Validity data technique is use triangulation of data source and informant review. Data analysis used intralingual method. The results of this study found the use of code mixing in Indonesian learning class in The Public Vocational High School of Banyumas. The form of code mixing that found are namely: (1) word insertion, (2) phrase insertion, (3) clause insertion, (4) the word repetition, and (5) idiom. The factor that causing of code mixing are: (1) changing situation, (2) want to explain something, and (3) establishing intimacy between teacher and student.

Abstract This study aims to describe the form and uniqueness of language politeness in classroom interaction in senior high school with a background of Java language. The method used is descriptive qualitative research method with sociopragmatic approach. Data in the form of students' speech in the learning process of Bahasa Indonesia. Technique of collecting data by using listening, feee, participating, speaking and data transcription. Data analysis techniques use interactive model in the form of data collection, data reduction, data analysis, and conclusion. The results show that there are generosity maxim, tact maxim, modesty maxim, agreement maxim, and sympathy maxim. As for the uniqueness of Javanese language in classroom interaction with marker of basa krama alus and basa ngoko. Keywords: language politeness, Java language, classroom interaction Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk dan keunikan atau kekhasan kesantunan berbahasa dalam interaksi kelas di Sekolah Menengah Atas yang berlatar bahasa Jawa. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiopragmatik. Data berupa tuturan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui teknik perekaman dengan metode simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC). Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif berupa pengumpulan data, reduksi data, analisis data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pematuhan maksim kedermawanan, maksim kebijaksanaan, maksim kesederhanaan, maksim kesepakatan, dan maksim kesimpatian. This research describes the pedagogical competence of teachers in arranging lesson plans in the 10th grade of Tour and Travel Business of SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta. The lesson plans prepared by the teachers will give impacts toward the learning practice and also the students' learning result. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach in a descriptive research. The source of data in this research is the teachers, while the data obtained from the teachers' pedagogical competence are the readiness of the teachers to teach (RPP), sources and teaching materials. The techniques used to collect the data are interview and documentation. Based on the data analysis, the result of this research shows that the lesson plans of Bahasa Indonesia teachers in the 10th grade of Tour and Travel Business of SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta in arranging the lesson plans (RPP) is still not correspond to the component regulated in Permendikbud No. 22, 2016. However, the teachers could access their class by giving the learning method in the form of discussions. It will help the students to solve the problems which appeared in the lesson. The teachers have enclosed learning media to facilitate the students in receiving the learning material. However, the teacher still has not made the RPP in accordance with the correct components. Thus, it can be concluded that the pedagogic competence of Bahasa Indonesia teachers in the 10th grade of Tour and Travel Business of SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta is still not good, because the teacher has not made the lesson plans in accordance with components set by Permendikbud. KOMPETENSI PEDAGOGIK GURU BAHASA INDONESIA DITINJAU DARI PERENCANAAN PEMBELAJARAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS ANEKDOT Abstrak Penelitian ini menggambarkan kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam menyusun perencanaan pembelajaran di kelas X Usaha Perjalanan Wisata SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta. Perencanaan pembelajaran yang disiapkan guru akan memberikan dampak pada pelaksanaan serta hasil belajar siswa. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dalam jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah guru, data yang diperoleh dari kompetensi pedagogik guru adalah kesiapan guru mengajar (RPP) dan sumber serta bahan mengajar. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan analisis data, hasil penelitian ini adalah perencanaan pembelajaran guru bahasa Indonesia kelas X Usaha Perjalanan Wisata SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta dalam membuat Rancangan Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) belum sesuai dengan komponen yang di atur dalam permendikbud No 22 Tahun 2016. Namun, guru dapat mengelola kelas dengan memberikan metode pembelajaran berupa diskusi, hal ini membantu siswa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan yang muncul dalam proses pembelajaran. Guru sudah mencantumkan media pembelajaran dalam mempermudah siswa menerima materi pelajaran. Akan tetapi guru masih belum membuat RPP sesuai dengan komponen yang benar. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik guru bahasa Indonesia yang mengampu kelas X Usaha Perjalana Wisata SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta masih belum baik, karena guru belum membuat RPP sesuai dengan komponen yang diatur dalam permendikbud. The style of writing scientific articles published in scientific journals has an important role in the assessment of an article. This study aimed to describe whether the form of writing scientific articles style on Indonesian Education Program students of Universitas Sebelas Maret was in accordance with Accreditation Guidlines of Scientific Parodical Issue (PATBI) published by Ditlitabmas Directorate General of Higher Education. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The data in this research were two scholarly article documents of master's students thesis of Indonesian Education Program of Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta and Guidelines of Accreditation of Scientific Periodic Issue. Data collection technique used in this research was purposive sampling technique. The validity of data used triangulation theory and data analysis technique in this research used interactive analysis model. The results of this study indicated that the thesis scientific article created by postgraduated students of Universitas Sebelas Maret was in accordance with the rules and guidelines for accreditation of periodical publication published by Ditlitabmas Directorate General of Higher Education. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa dua dokumen artikel ilmiah tesis mahasiswa Program Pascasarsana Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta dan Pedoman Akreditasi Terbitan Berkala Ilmiah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik purposive sampling. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teori. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa artikel ilmiah tesis yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa pascasrjana Universitas Sebelas Maret sudah sesuai dengan aturan dan pedoman akreditasi terbitan berkala ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Ditlitabmas Dirjen Pendidikan Tinggi. There is a relationship between pattern of arguments in an academic writing and obstacles faced in writing process. This study aims to figure out the strategies to develop arguments in writing a scientific article used by the students of Graduate Program in Indonesia Language Education Sebelas Maret University. The study focuses on obstacles in writing the scientific article, and the strategies how students overcome the problem. This study is a qualitative descriptive research. The instruments were documents and interview sheet that was delivered to the author of the article. In collecting the data, the researcher used purposive sampling technique. The researcher used interactive analysis technique in order to analys the content of the data. Findings of this study showed that there were two obstacles and solution in arranging the arguments, they were internal and external aspect.

The purpose of this study is to know what character values can be instilled through debate learning. Debate learning is a new basic competence that high school students have to study in this 2013 revision of the 2016 curriculum. In 2016, SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar became the 1st champion in high school debate competition in Karanganyar regency. The management of debate learning in SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar has become a benchmark for other schools in implementing debate learning. In addition to the teaching materials and methods used, the main thing in learning this curriculum is about character education for students. This research is qualitative research with case study method. Technique of taking data in this research is by using technique of record and record from result of observation done in class X SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar. The result obtained from this research is the discovery of 13 character values, namely: 1) honest; 2) discipline; 3) hard work; 4) curiosity; 5) nationalism; 6) appreciate achievement; 7) communicative; 8) love of peace; 9) reading; 10) environmental care; 11) responsibility; 12) manners; And 13) confident. SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar merupakan SMA pedoman bagi sekolah-sekolah lain di lingkungan Kabupaten Karanganyar karena terlihat dari input dan output siswa yang baik. Pada tahun 2016 kemarin SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar menjadi juara 1 dalam lomba debat tingkat SMA se-kabupaten Karanganyar. Pengelolaan pembelajaran debat yang ada di SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar menjadi tolok ukur bagi sekolah lain dalam menerapkan pembelajaran debat. Selain materi dan metode ajar yang digunakan, hal utama dalam pembelajaran kurikulum ini adalah mengenai pendidikan karakter untuk siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apa saja nilai-nilai karakter yang dapat ditanamkan melalui pembelajaran debat. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengambilan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik rekam dan catat dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini berupa ditemukannya 13 nilai karakter, yakni: 1) jujur; 2) disiplin; 3) kerja keras; 4) rasa ingin tahu; 5) nasionalisme; 6) menghargai prestasi; 7) komunikatif; 8) cinta damai; 9) gemar membaca; 10) peduli lingkungan; 11) tanggung jawab; 12) sopan santun; dan 13) percaya diri. Patients with active lung tuberculosis (TB) have low body mass index (BMI) because of a wasting. Changes in body weight during the initial period of TB therapy correlated with the death risk, illness severity and relapse as well as decrease of patient's physical function. This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of soybean supplementation among TB patients with standard therapy in improving physical function and nutritional status. Fifty nine patients were randomly divided into two groups. Intervention group received one hundred fifty gram nutritional supplementation and control group did not receive anything. Both groups were on the same regular antituberculosis treatment. Assessment of outcomes were done twice, before supplementation and then after 1 month of the treatment. There were significant differences in the changes in proxy physical function parameter in the control and treatment group (3.16 ± 0.83 vs. 4.50 ± 1.47, P < 0.05) and changes in nutritional status variable (0.33 ± 0.15 vs. 0.47 ± 0.16, p < 0.05). However there was no significant difference in the change in mid upper arm circumference (0.83 ± 0.31 vs. 0.93 ± 0.31, p > 0.05). Further research is needed to confirm this result.

The aim of this study is to determine the implementation of Javanese language learning (through dolanan song) based on religious character building in curriculum 2013. It employs qualitative research design with a single case study approach. The results showed that the learning of Javanese language (on dolanan song) can establish religious character building through a scientific approach. Its implementation may involve learning models such as role play, discovery learning and problem based learning. The steps of learning based on scientific approach include activities to observe, ask, gather information, associates, try and communicate. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa (materi tembang dolanan) berbasis pendidikan karakter religius dalam kurikulum 2013. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus tunggal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa (materi tembang dolanan) dapat menanamkan pendidikan karakter religius melalui pendekatan saintifik. Implementasinya dapat menggunakan model pembelajaran Role Playing, Discovery Learning dan Problem Based Learning. Adapun langkah-langkah pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan saintifik meliputi kegiatan mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, mengasosiasi, mencoba, dan mengomunikasikan.

This research was encouraged by the demand for every student to possess higher order thinking skills (HOTS). This ability can be assessed when the question instruments require high-level thinking skills. Hence, the present study aimed to analyze the fulfilment and percentage of high-level thinking skill indicators in reading literacy questions at Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Pekanbaru City. The research was qualitative and employed a content analysis methodology. Data were collected using documentation techniques involving reading literacy instruments obtained from teachers in vocational high schools throughout Pekanbaru city. The development of HOTS-based reading literacy questions was expected to reflect students' reading literacy abilities. The findings indicated that the reading literacy questions developed by teachers were predominantly not HOTS-based. However, some questions exhibited HOTS characteristics, such as critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Based on Aiken's test conducted by experts on the three teacher-created instruments, it was concluded that over 50% of the questions were not valid. This conclusion was further reinforced by interviews with teachers who encountered challenges in designing reading literacy questions, including difficulty determining operational verbs and a lack of knowledge in developing reading literacy questions, creating HOTS-based questions, and composing answer choices relevant to the provided rules.

After conducting research with an in-depth study of the moral aspects with the perspective of Islamic Archipelago in the children’s story on Bobo Magazine and Kompas Daily, two substantial findings were found. First, the dominant moral values in children’s stories are the value of hard work, honesty, obedience, responsibility, friendship, courage, discipline, compassion, sharing, and creativity, all of which are related to children’s moral formation. Second, values moral stories of children in the context of the Islamic archipelago related to the relationship of children’s moral values in children’s stories in the context of Islam based on the Al-Qur’an and Al-Hadits and the context of children’s moral values in children in the context of Indonesian humanity and Archipelago culture.

Javanese pitutur luhur is an honorable thought as the inheritance from Javanese ancestors in which it is bequeathed from generation to generation. Pitutur luhur is led as guidance for Javanese societies throughout their life. It contains the ancestors’ thoughts about some aspects of life since every human being (including Javanese people) has guidance for life. As religious people, for Muslim societies, it is a must to bring Qur’an and hadith into their guidance of life. This study discusses the relevance between Javanese Pitutur luhur and Islamic religiosity based on Qur’an and hadith. The result of this study shows that there is harmony and relevance between Javanese Pitutur luhur and Islam religiosity as explained in Qur’an and Hadith. To sum up, both of them can be equal to the guidance of life, and to provide directions in the middle of deculturation, dereligiosity, paganism, and secularism towards religious and cultural values.

The value in the limit state design is not the point value as measured by a laboratory or field test. Two confusing concepts in statistical soil mechanics are: the modeling of variability by a random field model and the distinction between the population mean and sample mean. Intrinsically, these two concepts are related to each others. The paper demonstrates that the most confusing thing what is being dilemmas in determining soil characteristic value may be removed by considering a statistical method.
