One key question in tidal disruption events theory is that how much of the fallback debris can be accreted to the black hole. Based on radiative hydrodynamic simulations, we study this issue for efficiently `circularized' debris accretion flow. We find that for a black hole disrupting a solar type star, $15\%$ of the debris can be accreted for a $10^7$ solar mass ($M_\odot$) black hole. While for a $10^6M_\odot$ black hole, the value is $43\%$. We find that wind can be launched in the super-Eddington accretion phase regardless of the black hole mass. The maximum velocity of wind can reach $0.7c$ (with $c$ being speed of light). The kinetic power of wind is well above $10^{44} {\rm erg \ s^{-1}}$. Winds can be launched in tidal disruption event (TDE). It has been proposed that the winds can interact with the cloud surrounding the black hole, produce bow shocks, accelerate electrons, and produce radio emission. We restudy the wind-cloud interaction model. We employ the properties of winds found by the radiation hydrodynamic simulations of super-Eddington circularized accretion flow in TDEs. We can calculate the peak radio emission frequency, the luminosity at the peak frequency, and their time-evolution based on the TDEs wind-cloud interaction model. We find that the model predicted peak radio emission frequency, the luminosity at peak frequency, and their time evolution can be well consistent with those in TDEs AT2019dsg and ASASSN-14li. This indicates that in these two radio TDEs, the wind-cloud interaction mechanism may be responsible for the radio emission., Comment: 11 pages, 10 figures, accepted to MNRAS

Previous numerical simulations have shown that strong winds can be produced in the hot accretion flows around black holes. Most of those studies focus only on the region close to the central black hole, therefore it is unclear whether the wind production stops at large radii around Bondi radius. Bu et al. 2016 studied the hot accretion flow around the Bondi radius in the presence of nuclear star gravity. They find that when the nuclear stars gravity is important/comparable to the black hole gravity, winds can not be produced around the Bondi radius. However, for some galaxies, the nuclear stars gravity around Bondi radius may not be strong. In this case, whether winds can be produced around Bondi radius is not clear. We study the hot accretion flow around Bondi radius with and without thermal conduction by performing hydrodynamical simulations. We use the virtual particles trajectory method to study whether winds exist based on the simulation data. Our numerical results show that in the absence of nuclear stars gravity, winds can be produced around Bondi radius, which causes the mass inflow rate decreasing inwards. One of the most prominent problems of optical/ultraviolet (UV) tidal disruption events (TDEs) is the origin of their optical/UV emission. It has been proposed that the soft X-rays produced by the stellar debris accretion disk can be reprocessed into optical/UV photons by a surrounding optically thick envelope or outflow. However, there is still no detailed models for this mechanism. In this paper, by performing hydrodynamic simulations with radiative transfer, we calculate the optical/UV emission of the circularized stellar debris accretion flow/outflow system. We find that the optical/UV photons can be generated by reprocessing the emission of the accretion flow in the optically thick outflows. The model can well interpret the observed emission properties of optical/UV TDEs, including the emission radius, the radiation temperature and the luminosity, as well as the evolution of these quantities with time, providing a strong theoretical basis for understanding the origin of optical/UV TDEs., Comment: 7 pages, 4 figures, submitted

Ultra-fast outflows (UFOs) with mildly relativistic velocities are measured using the X-ray spectra of radio-quiet and -loud active galactic nuclei (AGNs). In general, UFOs are believed to be generated from the accretion disk around a black hole (BH). A line-force driving model is suggested to be the mechanism to drive UFOs from the accretion disk. In this paper, we use the non-hydrodynamic approach to examine the influences of radiation-drag effects on the line-force-driven winds generated from the accretion disk. We find that the radiation-drag effects can significantly weaken the line-force-driven winds. Compared with the case without the radiation-drag effects, when the radiation-drag effects are considered, the maximum speed of winds is reduced by $\sim$60\%--70\%, the mass outflow rate is reduced by $\sim$50\%--80\%, and the kinetic power is reduced by about an order of magnitude. Winds are commonly observed in luminous active galactic nuclei (AGNs). A plausible model of those winds is magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) disc winds. In the case of disc winds from a thin accretion disc, isothermal or adiabatic assumption is usually adopted in such MHD models. In this work we perform two-dimensional MHD simulations implementing different thermal treatments (isothermal, adiabatic and radiative) to study their effects on winds from a thin accretion disc. We find that both the isothermal model and the adiabatic model overestimate the temperature, underestimate the power of disc winds, and cannot predict the local structure of the winds, compared to the results obtained by solving the energy equation with radiative cooling and heating. Based on the model with radiative cooling and heating, the ionization parameter, the column density and the velocity of the disc winds have been compared to the observed ultrafast outflows (UFOs). We find that in our simulations the UFOs can only be produced inside hundreds of Schwarzschild radius. At much larger radii, no UFOs are found. Winds play a significant role in active galactic nuclei feedback process. Previous simulations studying winds only focus on a small dynamical range. Therefore, it is unknown how far the winds can go and what the properties of the winds will be if they can move to large radii. We perform simulations to study the large scale dynamics of winds driven by line force. We find that the properties of the winds depend on both black hole mass ($M_{BH}$) and accretion disk luminosity. When the accretion disk luminosity is $0.6L_{edd}$ ($L_{edd}$ being Eddington luminosity), independent of $M_{BH}$, the winds have kinetic energy flux exceeding $1\% L_{edd}$ and can escape from the black hole potential. For the case with the accretion disk luminosity equaling 0.3$L_{edd}$, the strength of the winds decreases with the decrease of $M_{BH}$. If $M_{BH}$ decreases from $10^9$ to $10^6$ solar mass ($M_\odot$), the winds kinetic energy flux decreases from $\sim 0.01 L_{edd}$ to $ \sim 10^{-6} L_{edd}$. In case of $M_{BH}\geq 10^7 M_\odot$, winds can escape from black hole potential. In the case of $M_{BH}=10^6 M_\odot$, the winds can not escape. We find that for the ultra-fast winds observed in hard X-ray bands (\citealt{Gofford et al. 2015}), the observed dependence of the mass flux and the kinetic energy flux on accretion disk luminosity can be well produced by line force driven winds model. We explore the effects of anisotropic thermal conduction, anisotropic pressure, and magnetic field strength on the hot accretion flows around black holes by solving the axisymmetric, steady-state magnetohydrodynamic equations. The anisotropic pressure is known as a mechanism for transporting angular momentum in weakly collisional plasmas in hot accretion flows with extremely low mass accretion rates. However, anisotropic pressure does not extensively impact the transport of the angular momentum, it leads to shrinkage of the wind region. Our results show that the strength of the magnetic field can help the Poynting energy flux overcomes the kinetic energy flux. This result may be applicable to understand the hot accretion flow in the Galactic Center Sgr A* and M87 galaxy., Comment: 13 pages, 6 figures, accepted for publication in ApJ

Warm absorbers (WAs) located approximately in the region of $1-1000$ parsecs are common phenomena in many active galactic nuclei (AGNs). The driving mechanism of WAs is still under debate. Ultra-fast outflows (UFOs) which are launched very close to the central black hole are also frequently observed in AGNs. When UFOs move outwards, they will collide with the interstellar medius (ISM) gas. In this paper, we study the possibility that whether WAs can be generated by the interaction between ISM gas and the UFOs. We find that under some ISM gas conditions, WAs can be generated. However, the covering factor of WAs is much smaller than that given by observations. This indicates that other mechanisms should also be at work. We also find that the properties of the WAs mainly depend on the density of the ISM injected into the computational domain from the outer radial boundary (1000 parsec). The higher the density of the ISM is, the higher the mass flux and kinetic power of the WAs will be. The kinetic power of the UFO driven WAs is much less than $1\%$ of the bolometric luminosity of its host AGNs. A black hole (BH) hyperaccretion system might be born after the merger of a BH and a neutron star (NS) or a binary NS (BNS). In the case of a high mass accretion rate, the hyperaccretion disk is in a state of neutrino-dominated accretion flow (NDAF) and emits numerous anisotropic MeV neutrinos. Only a small fraction of these neutrinos annihilates in the space outside of the disk and then launch ultrarelativistic jets that break away from the merger ejecta to power gamma-ray bursts. Mergers and their remnants are generally considered sources of gravitational waves (GWs), neutrinos, and kilonovae. Anisotropic neutrino emission and anisotropic high-velocity material outflows from central BH-NDAF systems can also trigger strong GWs and luminous disk-outflow-driven (DOD) kilonovae, respectively. In this paper, the anisotropic multimessenger signals from NDAFs with outflows, including DOD kilonovae, MeV neutrinos, and GWs, are presented. As the results, the typical AB magnitude of the DOD kilonovae is lower than that of AT 2017gfo at the same distance, and it decreases with increasing viewing angles and its anisotropy is not sensitive to the outflow mass distribution but mainly determined by the velocity distribution. Since neutrinos with $\gtrsim 10~\rm MeV$ are mainly produced in the inner region of the disk, they will be dramatically deflected to a large viewing angle by relativity effects. Moreover, the strains of GWs induced by anisotropic neutrinos increase with increasing viewing angles. We solve the two-dimensional hydrodynamic equations of hot accretion flow in the presence of the thermal conduction. The flow is assumed to be in steady-state and axisymmetric, and self-similar approximation is adopted in the radial direction. In this hydrodynamic study, we consider the viscous stress tensor to mimic the effects of the magnetorotational instability for driving angular momentum. We impose the physical boundary conditions at both the rotation axis and the equatorial plane and obtain the solutions in the full $ r-\theta $ space. We have found that thermal conduction is indispensable term for investigating the inflow-wind structure of the hot accretion flows with very low mass accretion rates. One of the most interesting results here is that the disc is convectively stable in hot accretion mode and in the presence of the thermal conduction. Furthermore, the properties of wind and also its driving mechanisms are studied. We perform two-dimensional hydrodynamic simulations to study the non-rotating gas flow in the region from 1-1000 parsec. This region connects the galaxy scale and the accretion disk scale. The gas is irradiated by the photons generated by the accretion disk system near the central black hole with $10^8$ solar mass. We assume that the luminosity of the central accretion system is constant and equals to $0.3$ Eddington luminosity. Gas with density higher than $10^{-24} {\rm g \ cm^{-3}}$ is found to be thermally unstable. Two phase, cold and hot, gas flow will form due to thermal instability. We calculated the ratio of cold gas accretion rate to hot gas accretion rate. This ratio is a function of gas density and generally increases with the increase of gas density. The maximum value of this ratio is $16$, when gas density is $10^{-21} {\rm g \ cm^{-3}} $. Gas with density lower than $10^{-24} {\rm g \ cm^{-3}}$ is found to be thermally stable and the gas flow is one-phase. Numerical simulations of radiative two-temperature hot accretion flows (HAFs) around Neutron stars (NSs) are performed. We assume that all of the energy carried by the HAF around a NS will be thermalized and radiated out at the surface of the NS. The thermal photons will propagate outwards radially and cool the HAF vis Comptonization. We define $\dot m$ as the mass accretion rate at the surface of the central object in unit of Eddington accretion rate ($\dot M_{\rm Edd}=10L_{\rm Edd}/c^2$, with $L_{\rm Edd}$ and $c$ being Eddington luminosity and speed of light, respectively). When $\dot m$ is lower than $\sim 10^{-4}$, the cooling of the HAF is not important and outflows are very strong. When $\dot m > \sim 10^{-3}$, cooling becomes important and outflows are significantly weak. In the range $10^{-4} < \dot m < 10^{-3}$, the HAFs transients from a strong outflow phase to a very weak outflow phase with increase of $\dot m$. The properties of the HAF around a NS are also compared to those of the HAF around a BH. We find that with a similar $\dot m$, the dynamical properties of the HAF around a NS are quite similar as those of the HAF around a BH. However, the emitted spectrum of a HAF around a NS can be quite different from that of a HAF around a BH due to the presence of a thermal soft X-ray component coming from the surface of the NS., Comment: 12 pages, 4 figures, accepted by ApJ

We present the two-dimensional inflow-outflow solutions of radiation hydrodynamic (RHD) equations of supercritical accretion flows. Compared with prior studies, we include all components of the viscous stress tensor. We assume steady state flow and use self-similar solutions in the radial direction to solve the equations in $ r-\theta $ domain of the spherical coordinates. The set of differential equations have been integrated from the rotation axis to the equatorial plane. We find that the self-similarity assumption requires that the radial profile of density is described by $ \rho(r) \propto r^{-0.5} $. Correspondingly, the radial profile of the mass inflow rate decreases with decreasing radii as $ \dot{M}_\mathrm{in} \propto r $. Inflow-outflow structure has been found in our solution. In the region $ \theta > 65^{\circ} $ there exist inflow while above that flow moves outward and outflow could launch. The driving forces of the outflow are analyzed and found that the radiation force is dominant and push the gas particles outwards with poloidal velocity $ \sim 0.25 c $. The properties of outflow are also studied. The results show that the mass flux weighted angular momentum of the inflow is lower than that of outflow, thus the angular momentum of the flow can be transported by the outflow. We also analyze the convective stability of the supercritical disk and find that in the absence of the magnetic field, the flow is convectively unstable. We perform two-dimensional hydrodynamical simulations of slowly rotating accretion flows in the region of $ 0.01-7\, \mathrm{pc} $ around a supermassive black holes with $ M_\mathrm{BH} = 10^{8} M_{\odot} $. The accretion flow is irradiated by the photons from the central active galactic nucleus (AGN). In addition to the direct radiation from the AGN, we have also included the "re-radiation", i.e., the locally produced radiation by Thomson scattering, line and bremsstrahlung radiation. Compare to our previous work, we have improved the calculation of radiation force due to the Thomson scattering of X-ray photons from the central AGN. We find that this improvement can significantly increase the mass flux and velocity of outflow. We have compared the properties of outflow --- including mass outflow rate, velocity, and kinetic luminosity of outflow --- in our simulation with the observed properties of outflow in AGNs and found that they are in good consistency. This implies that the combination of line and re-radiation forces is the possible origin of observed outflow in luminous AGNs., Comment: 14 pages, 6 figures; accepted for publication in MNRAS

We perform simulations to study the effects of active galactic nuclei (AGNs) radiation and wind feedback on the properties of slowly rotating accretion flow at parsec scale. We find that when only radiative feedback is considered, outflows can be produced by the radiation pressure due to Thomson scattering. The mass flux of outflow is comparable to that of inflow. Although strong outflow is present, the luminosity of AGN can be easily super-Eddington. When wind feedback is also taken into account, the mass flux of outflow does not change much. Consequently, the luminosity of the central AGN can still be super-Eddington. However, observations show that the luminosity of most AGNs is sub-Eddington. Some other mechanisms are needed to reduce the AGNs luminosity. Although the mass outflow rate does not change much by wind feedback, other properties of outflow (density, temperature, velocity and kinetic power) can be significantly changed by wind feedback. In the presence of wind feedback, the density of outflow becomes significantly lower, temperature of outflow becomes significantly higher, velocity of outflow is increased by one order of magnitude, the kinetic power of outflow is increased by a factor of $40-100$., Comment: 9 pages, 5 figures, accepted for publication in ApJ

A hot corona is suggested to be above the standard thin disk. The anisotropy of hard X-ray emission in radio-quiet active galactic nuclei implies that the corona is not static and probably moves outwards like winds. We perform two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamical simulations to study the outflowing corona driven by magnetic field and radiation force. In our simulations, as the initial state and the boundary condition at the disk surface, the corona temperature is set to $10^9$ K inside 10 Schwarzschild radius ($r_{\rm s}$) while the corona temperature is set to $10^7$ K a 10 $r_{\rm s}$. We employ a weak poloidal magnetic field as the initial magnetic field. A collimated outflow and a wide-angle ordered outflow are observed in our simulations. The collimated outflow is around the rotational axis and has a bulk velocity of $\sim$0.03--0.3 $c$ ( $c$ is speed of light) at 90 $r_{\rm s}$, while their mass outflow rate is very low. The collimated outflow is a weak jet. The wide-angle ordered outflow is distributed at the middle and high latitudes and moves outwards with a velocity of $10^2$--$10^4$ km s$^{-1}$. The outflow velocity depends on the disk luminosity. The gas around the disk surface is turbulent, especially outside of 10 $r_{\rm s}$. We perform as the first time hydrodynamic simulations to study the properties of hot accretion flow (HAF) around a neutron star (NS). The energy carried by the HAF will eventually be radiated out at the surface of the NS. The emitted photons can propagate inside the HAF and cool the HAF via Comptonization. We find that the Compton cooling can affect the properties of HAF around a NS significantly. We define the Eddington accretion rate as $\dot M_{\rm Edd}=10L_{\rm Edd}/c^2$, with $L_{\rm Edd}$ and $c$ being the Eddington luminosity and the speed of light, respectively. We define $\dot m$ as the mass accretion rate at the NS surface in unit of $\dot M_{\rm Edd}$. When $\dot m > 10^{-4}$, Compton cooling can effectively cool the HAF and suppress wind. Therefore, the mass accretion rate is almost a constant with radius. The density profile is $\rho \propto r^{-1.4}$. When $\dot m < 10^{-4}$, the Compton cooling effects become weaker, wind becomes stronger, accretion rate is proportional to $r^{0.3-0.5}$. Consequently, the density profile becomes flatter, $\rho \propto r^{-1 \sim -0.8}$. When $\dot m < 10^{-6}$, the Compton cooling effects can be neglected. We find that with a same accretion rate, the temperature of HAF around a NS is significantly lower than that of HAF around a black hole (BH). Also, the Compton $y-$parameter of HAF around a NS is significantly smaller than that of HAF around a BH. This result predicts that HAF around a NS will produce a softer spectrum compared to HAF around a BH, which is consistent with observations., Comment: 11 pages, 5 figures, accepted by ApJ

Mass accretion rate is a key parameter in accretion disk theory. It determines black hole accretion mode. In large scale cosmological simulations studying galaxy formation and evolution, Bondi radius can at most be marginally resolved. In those simulations, Bondi accretion formula is always used to estimate black hole accretion rate. Bondi solution is too simple, which cannot represent the real accretion process. We perform simulations of hot accretion flow at parsec scale irradiated by a low luminosity active galactic nucleus (AGN). We perform 77 simulations with varying density and temperature at outer boundary (10 parsec). Our purpose is to find a formula to calculate real black hole accretion rate based on the gas density and temperature at parsec scale. We define Eddington accretion rate to be $\dot M_{\rm Edd}=10L_{\rm Edd}/c^2$, with $L_{\rm Edd}$ and $c$ been Eddington luminosity and speed of light respectively. We set black hole mass to be $10^8M_{\odot}$, $M_{\odot}$ is solar mass. We find that black hole accretion rate can be expressed as $\frac{\dot M_{\rm BH} }{\dot M_{\rm Edd}}=10^{-3.11} (\rho_0/10^{-22}{\rm g cm}^{-3})^{1.36} (T_0/10^7 {\rm K})^{-1.9}$, with $\rho_0$ and $T_0$ being density and temperature at parsec scale, respectively. We find the formula can accurately predict the luminosity of observed low-luminosity AGNs (with black hole mass $\sim 10^8M_{\odot}$). Observations of many dim galactic nuclei in local universe give good estimation of gas density and temperature at Bondi radius. If we assume the black hole accretes at Bondi accretion rate and radiates at efficiency of low-luminosity hot accretion flow, the predicted nuclei luminosity can be significantly higher than observations. Therefore, the real black hole mass accretion rate in these sources may be significantly smaller than the Bondi value. Active galactic nuclei (AGN) feedback may be responsible for decreasing black hole accretion rate to values much smaller than Bondi rate. We perform two-dimensional simulations of low angular momentum accretion flow at parsec and sub-parsec scales around low-luminosity active galactic nuclei (LLAGNs). We take into account the radiation and wind feedbacks of the LLAGN. The cross section of particle-particle interaction can be several orders of magnitude larger than that of photon-particle interaction. Therefore, we find that for the LLAGNs, effects of radiation feedback in decreasing black hole accretion rate are small. However, wind feedback can effectively decrease the black hole mass accretion rate. Due to the decrease of accretion rate, the black hole luminosity can be decreased by a factor of $\sim 33-400$. Observations show that winds can be driven from the innermost region (inside a 50 Schwarschild radius) of a thin disk. It is interesting to study the winds launched from the innermost region. A hot corona above the black hole (BH) thin disk is irradiated by the disk. We perform two-dimensional hydrodynamical simulations to study the winds driven by radiation force from the corona in the innermost regions. The hard X-ray spectrum from active galactic nuclei (AGNs) suggests that the corona temperature is about $10^9$ K, so that we mainly analyze the properties of winds (or outflows) from the $10^9$ K corona. The disk luminosity plays an important role in driving the outflows. The more luminous the disk, the stronger the outflows. Mass outflow rate ($\dot{M}_{\rm out}$) at a 90 Schwarschild radius depends on disk luminosity, which can be described as $\dot{M}_{\rm out}\propto 10^{3.3 \Gamma}$ ($\Gamma$ is the ratio of the disk luminosity to the Eddington luminosity). In the case of high luminosity (e.g. $\Gamma=0.75$), the supersonic outflows with maximum speed $1.0 \times 10^4$ Km s$^{-1}$ are launched at $\sim17^{o}$ --$30^{o}$ and $\sim50^{o}$ --$80^{o}$ away from the pole axis. The Bernoulli parameter keeps increasing with the outward propagation of outflows. The radiation force keeps accelerating the outflows when outflows move outward. Therefore, we can expect the outflows to escape from the BH gravity and go to the galactic scale. It is often suggested that a super massive black hole is embedded in a nuclear bulge of size of a few $10^2$ $\text{ parsec}$ . The nuclear stars gravity is not negligible near $\sim 10 \text{ parsec}$. In order to study the effect of nuclear stars gravity on quasar radiation feedback on the parsec scale, we have simulated the parsec scale flows irradiated by a quasar by taking into account the gravitational potential of both the black hole and the nuclear star cluster. We find that the effect of nuclear stars gravity on the parsec-scale flows is related to the fraction of X-ray photons in quasar radiation. For the models in which the fraction of X-ray photons is not small (e.g. the X-ray photons contribute to $20\%$ of the quasar radiation), the nuclear stars gravity is very helpful to collimate the outflows driven by UV photons, significantly weakens the outflow power at the outer boundary and significantly enhances the net accretion rate onto the black hole. For the models in which X-ray photons are significantly decreased (e.g. the X-ray photons contribute to $5\%$ of the quasar radiation), the nuclear stars gravity can just slightly change properties of outflow and slightly enhance the net accretion rate onto the black hole., Comment: 9 pages, 7 figures, accepted for publication in MNRAS

Observations indicate that wind can be generated in hot accretion flow. By performing numerical simulations, Yuan et al. studied the detailed properties of wind generated from weakly magnetized accretion flow. However, properties of wind generated from strongly magnetized hot accretion flow have not been studied. In this paper, we study the properties of wind generated from both weakly and strongly magnetized accretion flow. We focus on how the magnetic field strength affects the wind properties. We solve time-steady two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations of black hole accretion in the presence of large-scale magnetic field. We assume self-similarity in radial direction. The magnetic field is assumed to be evenly symmetric with the equatorial plane. We find that wind exists in both weakly and strongly magnetized accretion flow. When magnetic field is weak (magnetic pressure is more than 2 orders of magnitude smaller than gas pressure), wind is driven by gas pressure gradient and centrifugal forces. When magnetic field is strong (magnetic pressure is slightly smaller than gas pressure), wind is driven by gas pressure gradient and magnetic pressure gradient forces. The power of wind in strongly magnetized case is just slightly larger than that in weakly magnetized case. The power of wind lies in a range $ P_W \sim 10^{-4}-10^{-3} \dot M_{\rm in} c^2 $, with $ \dot M_{\rm in} $ and $ c $ being mass inflow rate and speed of light, respectively. We study the effects of accretion environment (gas density, temperature and angular momentum) at large radii ($\sim 10$pc) on luminosity of hot accretion flows. The radiative feedback effects from the accretion flow on the accretion environment are also self-consistently taken into account. We find that the slowly rotating flows at large radii can significantly deviate from Bondi accretion when radiation heating and cooling are considered. We further find that when the temperature of environment gas is low (e.g. $T=2\times 10^7$K), the luminosity of hot accretion flows is high. When the temperature of gas is high (e.g. $T\geq4\times 10^7$K), the luminosity of hot accretion flow significantly deceases. The environment gas density can also significantly influence the luminosity of accretion flows. When density is higher than $\sim 4\times 10^{-22}\text{g} \text{cm}^{-3}$ and temperature is lower than $2\times 10^7$K, hot accretion flow with luminosity lower than $2\%L_{\text{Edd}}$ is not present. Therefore, the pc-scale environment density and temperature are two important parameters to determine the luminosity. We study slowly rotating accretion flow at parsec and sub-parsec scale irradiated by a low luminosity active galactic nuclei. We take into account the Compton heating, photoionization heating by the central X-rays. The bremsstrahlung cooling, recombination and line cooling are also included. We find that due to the Compton heating, wind can be thermally driven. The power of wind is in the range $(10^{-6}-10^{-3}) L_{\rm Edd}$, with $L_{\rm Edd}$ being the Eddington luminosity. The mass flux of wind is in the range $(0.01-1) \dot M_{\rm Edd}$ ($\dot M_{\rm Edd}= L_{\rm Edd}/0.1c^2$ is the Eddington accretion rate, $c$ is speed of light). We define the wind generation efficiency as $\epsilon = P_W/\dot {M}_{\rm BH}c^2$, with $P_W$ being wind power, $\dot M_{\rm BH}$ being the mass accretion rate onto the black hole. $\epsilon$ lies in the rage $10^{-4}-1.18$. Wind production efficiency decreases with increasing mass accretion rate. We perform two-dimensional simulations to study how the wind strength changes with accretion rate. We take into account bremsstrahlung, synchrotron radiation and the Comptonization. We find that when the accretion rate is low, radiative cooling is not important, the accretion flow is hot accretion flow. For the hot accretion flow, wind is very strong. The mass flux of wind can be $\sim 50\%$ of the mass inflow rate. When the accretion rate increases to a value at which radiative cooling rate is roughly equal to or slightly larger than viscous heating rate, cold clumps can form around the equatorial plane. In this case, the gas pressure gradient force is small and wind is very weak. Numerical simulations of black hole hot accretion flows have shown the existence of strong wind. Those works focus only on the region close to black hole thus it is unknown whether or where the wind production stops at large radii. To address this question, Bu et al. (2016) have performed hydrodynamic (HD) simulations by taking into account the gravitational potential of both the black hole and the nuclear star clusters. The latter is assumed to be $\propto \sigma^2 \ln(r)$, with $\sigma$ being the velocity dispersion of stars and $r$ be the distance from the center of the galaxy. It was found that when the gravity is dominated by nuclear stars, i.e., outside of radius $R_A\equiv GM_{\rm BH}/\sigma^2$, winds can no longer be produced. That work, however, neglects the magnetic field, which is believed to play a crucial dynamical role in the accretion and thus must be taken into account. In this paper, we revisit this problem by performing magneto-hydrodynamical (MHD) simulations. We confirm the result of Bu et al. (2016), namely wind can't be produced at the region of $R>R_A$. Our result, combined with the results of Yuan et al. (2015), indicates that the formula describing the mass flux of wind $\dot{M}_{\rm wind}=\dot{M}_{\rm BH}(r/20r_s)$ can only be applied to the region where the black hole potential is dominant. Previous works have clearly shown the existence of winds from black hole hot accretion flow and investigated their detailed properties. In extremely low accretion rate systems, the collisional mean-free path of electrons is large compared with the length-scale of the system, thus thermal conduction is dynamically important. When the magnetic field is present, the thermal conduction is anisotropic and energy transport is along magnetic field lines. In this paper, we study the effects of anisotropic thermal conduction on the wind production in hot accretion flows by performing two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic simulations. We find that thermal conduction has only moderate effects on the mass flux of wind. But the energy flux of wind can be increased by a factor of $\sim 10$ due to the increase of wind velocity when thermal conduction is included. The increase of wind velocity is because of the increase of driving forces (e.g. gas pressure gradient force and centrifugal force) when thermal conduction is included. We solve the two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations of black hole accretion with the presence of magnetic field. The field includes a turbulent component, whose role is represented by the viscosity, and a large-scale ordered component. The latter is further assumed to be evenly symmetric with the equatorial plane. The equations are solved in the $r-\theta$ plane of a spherical coordinate by assuming time-steady and radially self-similar. An inflow-wind solution is found. Around the equatorial plane, the gas is inflowing; while above and below the equatorial plane at a certain critical $\theta$ angle, $\theta\sim 47^{\circ}$, the inflow changes its direction of radial motion and becomes wind. The driving forces are analyzed and found to be the centrifugal force and the gradient of gas and magnetic pressure. The properties of wind are also calculated. The specific angular momentum of wind is found to be significantly larger than that of inflow, thus wind can transfer angular momentum outward. Previous works show strong winds exist in hot accretion flows around black holes. In this paper, we investigate this problem by hydrodynamical simulations. We take into account gravities of both the black hole and the nuclear star clusters. For the latter, we assume that the velocity dispersion of stars is a constant and its gravitational potential $\propto \sigma^2 \ln (r)$, where $\sigma$ is the velocity dispersion of stars and $r$ is the distance from the center of the galaxy. We focus on the region where the gravitational potential is dominated by the star cluster. We find, same as the accretion flow at small radii, the mass inflow rate decreases inward and the flow is convectively unstable. However, trajectory analysis shows that there is very few wind launched from the flow. Our result, combined with the results of Yuan et al. (2015), indicates that the mass flux of wind launched from hot accretion flow $\dot{M}_{\rm wind}=\dot{M}_{\rm BH}(r/20r_s)$, with $r\la R_A\equiv GM_{\rm BH}/\sigma^2$. Here $\dot{M}_{\rm BH}$ is accretion rate at black hole horizon. $R_A$ is similar to Bondi radius. We argue that the inward decrease of inflow rate is not because of mass loss via wind, but because of convective motion. If the specific angular momentum of accretion gas at large radius is small compared to the local Keplerian value, one usually believes that there exists a "circularization radius" beyond which the angular momentum of accretion flow is almost a constant while within which a disk is formed and the angular momentum roughly follows the Keplerian distribution. In this paper, we perform numerical simulations to study whether the picture above is correct in the context of hot accretion flow. We find that for a steady accretion flow, the "circularization radius" does not exist and the angular momentum profile will be smooth throughout the flow. However, for transient accretion systems, such as the tidal disruption of a star by a black hole, a "turning point" should exist in the radial profile of the angular momentum, which is conceptually similar to the "circularization radius". At this radius, the viscous timescale equals the life time of the accretion event. We study the dynamics of super-Eddington accretion flows by performing two-dimensional radiation-hydrodynamic simulations. Compared with previous works, in this paper we include the $T_{\theta\phi}$ component of the viscous stress and consider various values of the viscous parameter $\alpha$. We find that when $T_{\theta\phi}$ is included, the rotational speed of the high-latitude flow decreases, while the density increases and decreases at the high and low latitudes, respectively. We calculate the radial profiles of inflow and outflow rates. We find that the inflow rate decreases inward, following a power law form of $\dot{M}_{\rm in}\propto r^s$. The value of $s$ depends on the magnitude of $\alpha$ and is within the range of $\sim 0.4-1.0$. Correspondingly, the radial profile of density becomes flatter compared with the case of a constant $\dot{M}(r)$. We find that the density profile can be described by $\rho(r)\propto r^{-p}$, and the value of $p$ is almost same for a wide range of $\alpha$ ranging from $\alpha=0.1$ to $0.005$. The inward decrease of inflow accretion rate is very similar to hot accretion flows, which is attributed to the mass loss in outflows. To study the origin of outflow, we analyze the convective stability of slim disk. We find that depending on the value of $\alpha$, the flow is marginally stable (when $\alpha$ is small) or unstable (when $\alpha$ is large). This is different from the case of hydrodynamical hot accretion flow where radiation is dynamically unimportant and the flow is always convectively unstable. We speculate that the reason for the difference is because radiation can stabilize convection. We study the effects of initial and boundary conditions, taking two-dimensional hydrodynamical numerical simulations of hot accretion flow as an example. The initial conditions considered include a rotating torus, a solution expanded from the one-dimensional global solution of hot accretion flows, injected gas with various angular momentum distributions, and the gas from a large-scale numerical simulation. Special attention is paid to the radial profiles of the mass accretion rate and density. Both can be described by a power-law function, $\dot{M}\propto r^s$ and $\rho\propto r^{-p}$. We find that if the angular momentum is not very low, the value of $s$ is not sensitive to the initial condition and lies within a narrow range, $0.47\la s \la 0.55$. However, the value of $p$ is more sensitive to the initial condition and lies in the range $0.48\la p \la 0.8$. The diversity of the density profile is because different initial conditions give different radial profiles of radial velocity due to the different angular momentum of the initial conditions. When the angular momentum of the accretion flow is very low, the inflow rate is constant with radius. Taking the torus model as an example, we have also investigated the effects of inner and outer boundary conditions by considering the widely adopted "outflow" boundary condition and the "mass flux conservation" condition. In a hot, dilute, magnetized accretion flow, the electron mean-free path can be much greater than the Larmor radius, thus thermal conduction is anisotropic and along magnetic field lines. In this case, if the temperature decreases outward, the flow may be subject to a buoyancy instability (the magnetothermal instability, or MTI). The MTI amplifies the magnetic field, and aligns field lines with the radial direction. If the accretion flow is differentially rotating, the magnetorotational instability (MRI) may also be present. Using two-dimensional, time-dependent magnetohydrodynamic simulations, we investigate the interaction between these two instabilities. We use global simulations that span over two orders of magnitude in radius, centered on the region around the Bondi radius where the infall time of gas is longer than the growth time of both the MTI and MRI. Significant amplification of the magnetic field is produced by both instabilities, although we find that the MTI primarily amplifies the radial component, and the MRI primarily the toroidal component, of the field, respectively. Most importantly, we find that if the MTI can amplify the magnetic energy by a factor $F_t$, and the MRI by a factor $F_r$, then when the MTI and MRI are both present, the magnetic energy can be amplified by a factor of $F_t \cdot F_r$. We therefore conclude that amplification of the magnetic energy by the MTI and MRI operates independently. We also find that the MTI contributes to the transport of angular momentum, because radial motions induced by the MTI increase the Maxwell (by amplifying the magnetic field) and Reynolds stresses. Finally, we find that thermal conduction decreases the slope of the radial temperature profile. How many fraction of gas available at the outer boundary can finally fall onto the black hole is an important question. It determines the observational appearance of accretion flows, and is also related with the evolution of black hole mass and spin. Previous two-dimensional hydrodynamical simulations of hot accretion flows find that the flow is convectively unstable because of its inward increase of entropy. As a result, the mass accretion rate decreases inward, i.e., only a small fraction of accretion gas can fall onto the black hole, while the rest circulates in the convective eddies or lost in convective outflows. Radiation is usually neglected in these simulations. In many cases, however, radiative cooling is important. In the regime of the luminous hot accretion flow (LHAF), radiative cooling is even stronger than the viscous dissipation. In the one dimensional case, this implies that the inward increase of entropy will become slower or the entropy even decreases inward in the case of an LHAF. We therefore expect that convective instability becomes weaker or completely disappears when radiative cooling is important. To examine the validity of this expectation, in this paper we perform two-dimensional hydrodynamical simulations of hot accretion flows with strong radiative cooling. We find that compared to the case of negligible radiation, convection only becomes slightly weaker. Even an LHAF is still strongly convectively unstable, its radial profile of accretion rate correspondingly changes little. Observations and numerical magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) simulations indicate the existence of outflows and ordered large-scale magnetic fields in the inner region of hot accretion flows. In this paper we present the self-similar solutions for advection-dominated accretion flows (ADAFs) with outflows and ordered magnetic fields. Stimulated by numerical simulations, we assume that the magnetic field has a strong toroidal component and a vertical component in addition to a stochastic component. We obtain the self-similar solutions to the equations describing the magnetized ADAFs, taking into account the dynamical effects of the outflow. We compare the results with the canonical ADAFs and find that the dynamical properties of ADAFs such as radial velocity, angular velocity and temperature can be significantly changed in the presence of ordered magnetic fields and outflows. The stronger the magnetic field is, the lower the temperature of the accretion flow will be, and the faster the flow rotates.
