PURPOSE This study marks the 50th anniversary of NAPCRG (formerly the North American Primary Care Research Group) by examining social connections among members. METHODS This descriptive social network analysis was conducted via the Program to Analyze, Record, and Track Networks to Enhance Relationships (PARTNER) survey tool. RESULTS Responses from 906 participants resulted in 1,721 individuals with 5,196 partner relationships. Most relationships (60%) were characterized as having an integrated level of collaboration. Many relationships led to a research paper (58%) or a grant (34%). CONCLUSIONS This social network analysis of NAPCRG members' relationships described over 5,000 relationships, many producing publications, grants, and perceived advancements in primary care. NAPCRG celebrated 50 years of leadership and service at its 2022 meeting. A varied team of primary care investigators, clinicians, learners, patients, and community members reflected on the organization's past, present, and future. Started in 1972 by a small group of general practice researchers in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, NAPCRG has evolved into an international, interprofessional, interdisciplinary, and intergenerational group devoted to improving health and health care through primary care research. NAPCRG provides a nurturing home to researchers and teams working in partnership with individuals, families, and communities. The organization builds upon enduring values to create partnerships, advance research methods, and nurture a community of contributors. NAPCRG has made foundational contributions, including identifying the need for primary care research to inform primary care practice, practice-based research networks, qualitative and mixed-methods research, community-based participatory research, patient safety, practice transformation, and partnerships with patients and communities. Landmark documents have helped define classification systems for primary care, responsible research with communities, the central role of primary care in health care systems, opportunities to revitalize generalist practice, and shared strategies to build the future of family medicine. The future of health and health care depends upon strengthening primary care and primary care research with stronger support, infrastructure, training, and workforce. New technologies offer opportunities to advance research, enhance care, and improve outcomes. Stronger partnerships can empower primary care research with patients and communities and increase commitments to diversity and quality care for all. Transformative advertising research (TAR) suggests examining advertising's transformational possibilities via the interactions between institutional actors at each marketing level to gauge its effect on society. We employ rhetorical institutionalism as a lens to examine the online speech acts of consumers as they respond to a brand activism campaign focusing on an environmental problem. Our data take the form of written comments by YouTube users and employ a research design using automated text analysis and qualitative thematic data analysis. Our contributions to TAR are threefold. First, we offer a preliminary conceptualization of the role of consumer language as rhetorical institutional work to advance TAR scholars and practitioners' insight. Second, we highlight the role of linguistic tone and clout in giving speakers agency through which consumers as institutional actors create, maintain, and disrupt institutional logics and practices. Finally, we develop a tripartite classification of consumer speech acts used to support brand activism. We label these activist warriors, brand champions, and conscious consumers as typologies that deepen understanding of how consumers' online speech may amplify brand activism, thereby contributing to advertising's transformative outcomes. We conclude by outlining important managerial implications including how practitioners can adopt the tripartite classification to enhance brand activism campaigns. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Knowledge of the three-dimensional movement patterns of elasmobranchs is vital to understand their ecological roles and exposure to anthropogenic pressures. To date, comparative studies among species at global scales have mostly focused on horizontal movements. Our study addresses the knowledge gap of vertical movements by compiling the first global synthesis of vertical habitat use by elasmobranchs from data obtained by deployment of 989 biotelemetry tags on 38 elasmobranch species. Elasmobranchs displayed high intra- and interspecific variability in vertical movement patterns. Substantial vertical overlap was observed for many epipelagic elasmobranchs, indicating an increased likelihood to display spatial overlap, biologically interact, and share similar risk to anthropogenic threats that vary on a vertical gradient. We highlight the critical next steps toward incorporating vertical movement into global management and monitoring strategies for elasmobranchs, emphasizing the need to address geographic and taxonomic biases in deployments and to concurrently consider both horizontal and vertical movements.

This paper discusses the results of an anonymous survey completed by 239 Australian piano teachers in relation to the teaching materials and practices used by teachers with piano students aged 12-17, older beginners. The survey, which is part of a broader study investigating constructivism in music education, explores teacher choices and opinions of published teaching materials and teacher practice when teaching older beginner piano students. Research investigating older beginner piano students, teaching materials and teaching practice is scant. Studies investigating studio piano teaching has primarily focused on children (under 11 years of age), tertiary students and adult learners with a significant proportion of these conducted outside Australia. The survey asked participants, who were all studio piano teachers within Australasia, a range of questions related to the choice of, and reasons for using different teaching materials when teaching older beginners. Teaching practices were explored through specific questions that included the teacher's assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of various teaching materials, approaches to teaching older beginners and the areas of curriculum missing from currently published resources. Analysis of the survey results found that the choices of teaching materials and teaching practices of Australian studio piano teachers were motivated by a deep commitment to student progress, a strong desire for the continued enjoyment of learning and an awareness of effective pedagogy.

In March 2021, following the annual International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) ratification vote on newly proposed taxa, the phylum Negarnaviricota was amended and emended. The phylum was expanded by four families (Aliusviridae, Crepuscuviridae, Myriaviridae, and Natareviridae), three subfamilies (Alpharhabdovirinae, Betarhabdovirinae, and Gammarhabdovirinae), 42 genera, and 200 species. Thirty-nine species were renamed and/or moved and seven species were abolished. This article presents the updated taxonomy of Negarnaviricota as now accepted by the ICTV.

This paper describes the creation of an evaluative tool that aims to measure the degree to which constructivism is facilitated within the teaching materials created for older beginning piano students (twelve to seventeen years of age). Literature exploring the published teaching materials available for teaching piano includes content analysis, comparisons of tutor books and music reading approaches. The majority of research focuses on young children under eleven years of age, tertiary students and adult learners. Little research has critically examined the materials created for the older beginner piano student. Additionally, research in music education has explored various forms of constructivism but this research is rarely piano specific and generally represented by qualitative or small quantitative studies. Constructivism related to teaching piano to students aged twelve to seventeen years has received little attention. This paper unpacks the research and methodology that underpins the creation of an evaluative tool designed to explore the extent to which constructivism is facilitated and supported in the published teaching materials for older beginner piano students. The creation of an evaluation tool anchored in constructivism is central to a larger study exploring the resources used by Australian piano teachers when teaching older beginner students.
