The article presents information on various developments related to publishers and publishing. The second edition of H.D. Minot's "Land-Birds and Game-Birds of New England," edited by William Brewster, is a handsome volume from the Riverside Press of Cambridge. "The Book of the Rose," by Rev A. Foster-Melliar, is not a poem or a romance, as one might perhaps imagine from the title, but is a treatise on the cultivation of roses, written confessedly "for enthusiasts, for those who make a regular hobby of their roses.
