Let $\rm{Bun}$ be the moduli stack of rank $2$ bundles with fixed determinant on a smooth proper curve $C$ over a local field $F$. We show how to associate with a Schwartz $\kappa$-density, for $\rm{Re}(\kappa)\ge 1/2$, a smooth function on the corresponding coarse moduli space of very stable bundles. In the non-archimedean case we also prove that the stack $\rm{Bun}$ is $\kappa$-bounded in the sense of Definition 2.10 of [arXiv:2112.08139] for any $\kappa\in\mathbb{C}$., Comment: 31 pages

Let $G$ be a split reductive group over a finite field $k$. In this note we study the space $V$ of finitely supported functions on the set of isomorphism classes $G$-bundles on the projective line ${\mathbb P}^1$ endowed with a trivialization at $0$ and $\infty$. We show that $V$ is naturally isomorphic to the regular bimodule over the Hecke algebra $A$ of the group $G(k((t)))$ with respect to the first congruence subgroup. As a byproduct we show that Hecke operators at points different from $0$ and $\infty$ to generate the "stable center" of $A$. We provide an expression of the character of the lifting of an irreducible cuspidal representation of $GL(N,k)$ to $GL(N,k')$ where $k'$ is a finite extension of $k$ in terms of these generators. In a subsequent publication we plan to develop analogous constructions in the case when $k$ is replaced by a local non-archimedian field.

We study Hecke operators associated with curves over a non-archimedean local field $K$ and over the rings $O/{\mathfrak m}^N$, where $O\subset K$ is the ring of integers. Our main result is commutativity of a certain "small" local Hecke algebra over $O/{\mathfrak m}^N$, associated with a connected split reductive group $G$ such that $[G,G]$ is simple and simpy connected. The proof uses a Hecke algebra associated with $G(K(\!(t)\!))$ and a global argument involving $G$-bundles on curves., Comment: 34 pages; v2: Proposition 4.8 corrected

We define and study the subspace of cuspidal functions for $G$-bundles on a class of nilpotent extensions $C$ of curves over a finite field. We show that this subspace is preserved by the action of a certain noncommutative Hecke algebra $\mathcal{H}_{G,C}$. In the case $G=\rm{GL}_2$, we construct a commutative subalgebra in $\mathcal{H}_{G,C}$ of Hecke operators associated with simple divisors. In the case of length 2 extensions and of $G=\rm{GL}_2$, we prove that the space of cuspidal functions (for bundles with a fixed determinant) is finite-dimensional and provide bounds on its dimension. In this case we also construct some Hecke eigenfunctions using the relation to Higgs bundles over the corresponding reduced curve., Comment: 62 pages

We propose a new conjectural way to calculate the local $L$-factor $L=L_\chi(\pi,\rho,s)$ where $\pi$ is a representation of a $p$-adic group $G$, $\rho$ is an algebraic representation of the dual group $G^{\vee}$ and $\chi$ is an algebraic character of $G$ satisfying a positivity condition. A method going back to Godement and Jacquet yields a description of $L$ using as an input a certain space ${\mathcal S}_\rho$ of functions on $G$ depending on $\rho$. A (partly conjectural) description of ${\mathcal S}_\rho$ involving trace of Frobenius functions associated to perverse sheaves on the loop space of a semigroup containing $G$ was developed %by Bouthier, Ngo and Sakellaridis, partly based on an earlier work of Braverman and Kazhdan. Here we propose a different, more general conjectural description of ${\mathcal S}_\rho$: it also refers to trace of Frobenius functions but instead of the loop space of a semi-group we work with the ramified global Grassmannian fibering over the configuration space of points on a global curve defined by Beilinson-Drinfeld and Gaitsgory (a relation between two approaches is discussed in the appendix). Our main result asserts validity of our conjectures where $\pi$ is generated by an Iwahori fixed vector: we show that in this case it is compatible with the standard formula for $L$ involving local Langlands correspondence which is known for such representations $\pi$. This is a companion paper of arXiv:1909.11492 and arXiv:1912.01930. We prove an equivalence relating representations of a degenerate orthosymplectic supergroup with the category of twisted $Sp(2n,{\mathbb C}[\![t]\!])$-equivariant $D$-modules on the so called mirabolic affine Grassmannian of $Sp(2n)$. We also discuss (conjectural) extension of this equivalence to the case of quantum supergroups and to some exceptional supergroups., Comment: v2: section 3.2 added

We propose a construction of the Coulomb branch of a $3d\ {\mathcal N}=4$ gauge theory corresponding to a choice of a connected reductive group $G$ and a symplectic finite-dimensional reprsentation $\mathbf M$ of $G$, satisfying certain anomaly cancellation condition. This extends the construction of arXiv:1601.03586 (where it was assumed that ${\mathbf M}={\mathbf N}\oplus{\mathbf N}^*$ for some representation $\mathbf N$ of $G$). Our construction goes through certain "universal" ring object in the twisted derived Satake category of the symplectic group $Sp(2n)$. The construction of this object uses a categorical version of the Weil representation; we also compute the image of this object under the (twisted) derived Satake equivalence and show that it can be obtained from the theta-sheaf introduced by S.Lysenko on $\operatorname{Bun}_{Sp(2n)}({\mathbb P}^1)$ via certain Radon transform. We also discuss applications of our construction to a potential mathematical construction of $S$-duality for super-symmetric boundary conditions in 4-dimensional gauge theory and to (some extension of) the conjectures of D.Ben-Zvi, Y.Sakellaridis and A.Venkatesh., Comment: v2: minor corrections

We prove D.Gaiotto's conjecture about geometric Satake equivalence for quantum supergroup $U_q({\mathfrak{gl}}(N-1|N))$ for generic $q$. The equivalence goes through the category of factorizable sheaves.

We deduce the Kazhdan-Lusztig conjecture on the multiplicities of simple modules over a simple complex Lie algebra in Verma modules in category O from the equivariant geometric Satake correspondence and the analysis of torus fixed points in zastava spaces. We construct a mirabolic analogue of the geometric Satake equivalence. In arXiv:1807.09038 we formulated a conjecture describing the derived category D-mod(Gr$_{GL(n)}$) of (all) D-modules on the affine Grassmannian of the group $GL(n)$ as the category of quasi-coherent sheaves on a certain stack (it is explained in loc. cit. that this conjecture "follows" naturally from some heuristic arguments involving 3-dimensional quantum field theory). In this paper we prove a weaker version of this conjecture for the case $n=2$., Comment: The final published version

These are (somewhat informal) lectures notes for the CIME summer school "Geometric Representation Theory and Gauge Theory" in June 2018. In these notes we review the results and constructions of a series of our joint papers with H.Nakajima where a mathematical definition of Coulomb branches of 3d N=4 quantum gauge theories (of cotangent type) is given. We also discuss some further constructions (such as categories of line operators in the corresponding topologically twisted theories) and briefly discuss a connection to local geometric Langlands correspondence.

Let $F$ be a local non-archimedian field and $G$ be the group of $F$-points of a split connected reductive group over $F$. In a previous aricle we defined an algebra $\mathcal J(G)$ of functions on $G$ which contains the Hecke algebra $\mathcal H(G)$ and is contained in the Harish-Chandra Schwartz algebra $\mathcal C(G)$. We consider $\mathcal J(G)$ as an algebraic analog the algebra $\mathcal C(G)$. Given a parabolic subgroup $P$ of $G$ with a Levi subgroup $M$ and the unipotent radical $U_P$ we write $X_P:=G/U_P$. In this paper we study two versions of the Schwartz space of $X_P$. The first is $\mathcal S(X_P):=\mathcal J({\mathcal S} _c(X_P))$ and the 2nd is the space spanned by functions of the form $\Phi_{Q,P}(\phi)$ where $Q$ is another parabolic with the same Levi subgroup, $\phi\in \mathcal S_c(X_Q)$ and $\Phi_{Q,P}$ is a normalized intertwining operator from $L^2(X_Q)$ to $L^2(X_P)$. We formulate a series of conjectures about these spaces, for example, we conjecture that $\mathcal S'(X_P)\subset \mathcal S(X_P)$ and that this embedding is an isomorphism on $M$-cuspidal part. We give a proof of some of our conjectures.

This is the second companion paper of arXiv:1601.03586. We consider the morphism from the variety of triples introduced in arXiv:1601.03586 to the affine Grassmannian. The direct image of the dualizing complex is a ring object in the equivariant derived category on the affine Grassmannian (equivariant derived Satake category). We show that various constructions in arXiv:1601.03586 work for an arbitrary commutative ring object. Let $G$ be a split reductive $p$-adic group. Let ${\mathcal H}(G)$ be its Hecke algebra and let ${\mathcal C}(G)\supset {\mathcal H}(G)$ be the Harish-Chandra Schwartz algebra. The purpose of this note is to give a spectral interpretation of Lusztig's asymptotic Hecke algebra $J$ (which contains the Iwahori part of ${\mathcal H}(G)$ as a subalgebra), which shows that $J$ is a subalgebra of ${\mathcal C} (G)$. This spectral description also allows to define a version of $J$ beyond the Iwahori component - i.e. we define certain subalgebra ${\mathcal J}(G)$ of ${\mathcal C}(G)$ which contains ${\mathcal H}(G)$. We show that the partially spherical cyclotomic rational Cherednik algebra (obtained from the full rational Cherednik algebra by averaging out the cyclotomic part of the underlying reflection group) has four other descriptions: (1) as a subalgebra of the degenerate DAHA of type A given by generators; (2) as an algebra given by generators and relations; (3) as an algebra of differential-reflection operators preserving some spaces of functions; (4) as equivariant Borel-Moore homology of a certain variety. Also, we define a new $q$-deformation of this algebra, which we call cyclotomic DAHA. Namely, we give a $q$-deformation of each of the above four descriptions of the partially spherical rational Cherednik algebra, replacing differential operators with difference operators, degenerate DAHA with DAHA, and homology with K-theory, and show that they give the same algebra. In addition, we show that spherical cyclotomic DAHA are quantizations of certain multiplicative quiver and bow varieties, which may be interpreted as K-theoretic Coulomb branches of a framed quiver gauge theory. Finally, we apply cyclotomic DAHA to prove new flatness results for various kinds of spaces of $q$-deformed quasiinvariants. In the appendix by H. Nakajima and D. In the unframed case they are isomorphic to the moduli space of based rational maps from ${\mathbb C}P^1$ to the flag variety. Consider the $3$-dimensional $\mathcal N=4$ supersymmetric gauge theory associated with a compact Lie group $G_c$ and its quaternionic representation $\mathbf M$. Physicists study its Coulomb branch, which is a noncompact hyper-K\"ahler manifold with an $\mathrm{SU}(2)$-action, possibly with singularities. Let G be a reductive p-adic group. Let $\Phi$ be an invariant distribution on G lying in the Bernstein center Z(G). We prove that $\Phi$ is supported on compact elements in G if and only if it defines a constant function on every component of the set Irr(G); in particular, we show that the space of all elements of Z(G) supported on compact elements is a subalgebra of Z(G). Let $G$ be an almost simple simply connected group over complex numbers. For a positive element $\alpha$ of the coroot lattice of $G$ let $Z^\alpha$ denote the space of based maps from the projective line to the flag variety of $G$ of degree $\alpha$. This space is known to be isomorphic to the space of framed euclidean $G$-monopoles with maximal symmetry breaking at infinity of charge $\alpha$. In [Finkelberg-Kuznetsov-Markarian-Mirkovi\'c] a system of (\'etale, rational) coordinates on $Z^\alpha$ is introduced. In this note we compute various known structures on $Z^\alpha$ in terms of the above coordinates. This paper is a continuation of a previous paper in which the first two authors have introduced the spherical Hecke algebra and the Satake isomorphism for an untwisted affine Kac-Moody group over a non-archimedian local field. In this paper we develop the theory of the Iwahori-Hecke algebra associated to these same groups. The resulting algebra is shown to be closely related to Cherednik's double affine Hecke algebra. Furthermore, using these results, we give an explicit description of the affine Satake isomorphism, generalizing Macdonald's formula for the spherical function in the finite-dimensional case.

In this note we formulate and prove a version of Cartan decomposition for holomorphic loop groups, similar to Cartan decomposition for $p$-adic loop groups, discussed proved by Garland (and later by the authors by geometric mathods). The main technical tool that we use is the (well-known) interpretation of twisted conjugacy classes in the holomorphic loop group in terms of principal holomorphic bundles on an elliptic curve., Comment: 8 pages

In this paper we give an elementary proof of certain finiteness results about affine Kac-Moody groups over a local non-archimedian field K. Our results imply those proven earlier by Braverman-Kazhdan, Braverman-Finkelberg-Kazhdan and Gaussent-Rousseau using either algebraic geometry or a Kac-Moody version of the Bruhat-Tits building. The above finiteness results allow one to formulate an affine version of the Gindikin-Karpelevich formula, which coincides with the one discussed by Braverman-Finkelberg-Kazhdan in the case when K has positive characteristic. We deduce this formula from an affine version of the Macdonald formula for the spherical function, which will be proved in a subsequent publication.

Let $G$ be an almost simple simply connected complex Lie group, and let $G/U_-$ be its base affine space. In this paper we formulate a conjecture, which provides a new geometric interpretation of the Macdonald polynomials associated to $G$ via perverse coherent sheaves on the scheme of formal arcs in the affinization of $G/U_-$. We prove our conjecture for $G=SL(N)$ using the so called Laumon resolution of the space of quasi-maps (using this resolution one can reformulate the statement so that only "usual" (not perverse) coherent sheaves are used). In the course of the proof we also give a $K$-theoretic version of the main result of arXiv/0811.4454., Comment: 20 pages, to appear in Contemporary Mathematics

Let G be a reductive algebraic group over a local field K or a global field F. It is well know that there exists a non-trivial and interesting representation theory of the group G(K) as well as the theory of automorphic forms on the corresponding adelic group. The purpose of this paper is to give a survey of some recent constructions and results, which show that there should exist an analog of the above theories in the case when G is replaced by the corresponding affine Kac-Moody group (which is essentially built from the formal loop group G((t)) of G). Specifically we discuss the following topics : affine (classical and geometric) Satake isomorphism, affine Iwahori-Hecke algebra, affine Eisenstein series and Tamagawa measure., Comment: To appear in the Proceedings of 6th European Congress of Mathematicians

Let G be a semi-simple simply connected group over complex numbers. In this paper we give a geometric definition of the (dual) Weyl modules over the group G[t] and show that their characters form an eigen-function of the lattice version of the q-Toda integrable integrable system (defined by means of the quantum group version of Kostant-Whittaker reduction due to Etingof and Sevostyanov). All the proofs are algebro-geometric and rely on our previous work which interprets the universal eigen-function of the q-Toda system in terms of rings of functions on the spaces of based quasi-maps from P^1 to the flag variety of G. Let g be a semi-simple Lie algebra. In this paper we study the spaces of based quasi-maps from the projective line P^1 to the flag variety of g (it is well-known that their singularities are supposed to model the singularities of the so called semi-infinite Schubert varieties which are hard to define directly). In the first part of the paper we show that the above spaces are normal and in the case when g is simply laced they are also Gorenstein and have rational singularities. In the second part of the paper we compute the character of the ring of functions on the above spaces; in view of the above results this computation can be thought of as a computation of the (equivariant) K-theoretic J-function of the flag variety of g. We show that when g is simply laced the above characters satisfy the "fermionic recursion" version of the difference quantum Toda lattice (due to B.Feigin, E.Feigin, M.Jimbo, T.Miwa and E.Mukhin). As a byproduct we show that the equivariant K-theoretic J-function of the flag variety of a simply laced Lie algebra g is the universal eigen-function of the difference quantum Toda lattice, thus proving a conjecture of Givental and Lee. Some modification of this result is also shown to hold for non-simply laced g. Let G be a reductive group; in this note we give an interpretation of the dynamical Weyl group of of the Langlands dual group $\check{G}$ defined by Etingof and Varchenko in terms of the geometry of the affine Grassmannian Gr of G. In this interpretation the dynamical parameters of Etingof and Varchenko correspond to equivariant parameters with respect to certain natural torus acting on Gr. We also present a conjectural generalization of our results to the case of affine Kac-Moody groups.

Recently Alday, Gaiotto and Tachikawa proposed a conjecture relating 4-dimensional super-symmetric gauge theory for a gauge group G with certain 2-dimensional conformal field theory. This conjecture implies the existence of certain structures on the (equivariant) intersection cohomology of the Uhlenbeck partial compactification of the moduli space of framed G-bundles on P^2. More precisely, it predicts the existence of an action of the corresponding W-algebra on the above cohomology, satisfying certain properties. We propose a "finite analog" of the (above corollary of the) AGT conjecture. Namely, we replace the Uhlenbeck space with the space of based quasi-maps from P^1 to any partial flag variety G/P of G and conjecture that its equivariant intersection cohomology carries an action of the finite W-algebra U(g,e) associated with the principal nilpotent element in the Lie algebra of the Levi subgroup of P; this action is expected to satisfy some list of natural properties. This conjecture generalizes the main result of arXiv:math/0401409 when P is the Borel subgroup. We prove our conjecture for G=GL(N), using the works of Brundan and Kleshchev interpreting the algebra U(g,e) in terms of certain shifted Yangians., Comment: minor changes

Let G denote a complex, semisimple, simply-connected group. We identify the equivariant quantum differential equation for the cotangent bundle to the flag variety of G with the affine Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov connection of Cherednik and Matsuo. This recovers Kim's description of quantum cohomology of the flag variety itself as a limiting case. A parallel result is proven for resolutions of the Slodowy slices. Extension to arbitrary symplectic resolutions is discussed.

We prove a version of the Gindikin-Karpelevich formula for untwisted affine Kac-Moody groups over a local field of positive characteristic. The proof is geometric and it is based on the results of [1] about intersection cohomology of certain Uhlenbeck-type moduli spaces (in fact, our proof is conditioned upon the assumption that the results of [1] are valid in positive characteristic). In particular, we give a geometric explanation of certain combinatorial differences between finite-dimensional and affine case (observed earlier by Macdonald and Cherednik), which here manifest themselves by the fact that the affine Gindikin-Karpelevich formula has an additional term compared to the finite-dimensional case. Very roughy speaking, that additional term is related to the fact that the loop group of an affine Kac-Moody group (which roughly speaking should be thought of as some kind of "double loop group") does not behave well from algebro-geometric point of view; however it has a better behaved version which has something to do with algebraic surfaces. This is the second paper of a series (started by arXiv:0711.2083) which describes a conjectural analog of the affine Grassmannian for affine Kac-Moody groups (also known as the double affine Grassmannian). The current paper is dedicated to describing a conjectural analog of the convolution diagram for the double affine Grassmannian. In the case when G=SL(n) our conjectures can be derived from arXiv:0809.2605.

We define the spherical Hecke algebra for an (untwisted) affine Kac-Moody group over a local non-archimedian field. We prove a generalization of the Satake isomorphism for these algebras, relating it to integrable representations of the Langlands dual affine Kac-Moody group. In the next publication we shall use these results to define and study the notion of Hecke eigenfunction for the group $G_{\aff}$

This paper is the first in a series that describe a conjectural analog of the geometric Satake isomorphism for an affine Kac-Moody group. In this paper we construct a model for the singularities of some would-be Schubert varieties in the affine Grassmannian for an affine Kac-Moody group. We formulate a conjecture describing the (local) intersection cohomology of these varieties in terms of integrable representations of the Langlands dual affine Kac-Moody group and check this conjecture in a number of cases. Roughly speaking the above singularities are constructed by looking at the Uhlenbeck space of instantons on the quotient of the affine plane by a finite cyclic subgroup of SL(2)., Comment: Section 7 has been rewritten to correct previous mistakes

Given a projective variety X and a smooth projective curve C one may consider the moduli space of maps C --> X. This space admits certain compactification whose points are called quasi-maps. In the last decade it has been discovered that in the case when X is a (partial) flag variety of a semi-simple algebraic group G (or, more generally, of any symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie algebra) these compactifications play an important role in such fields as geometric representation theory, geometric Langlands correspondence, geometry and topology of moduli spaces of G-bundles on algebraic surfaces, 4-dimensional super-symmetric gauge theory (and probably many others). Let X be a smooth projective curve over an algebraically closed field k of characteristic p>0. In this paper we explore the relation between algebraic D-modules on the moduli space $Bun_n$ of vector bundles of rank n on X and coherent sheaves on the moduli space $Loc_n$ of vector bundles endowed with a connection (in the way predicted by Beilinson and Drinfeld for k of characteristic 0). Let K be a local non-archimedian field, F=K((t)) and let G be a split semi-simple group. The purpose of this paper is to study certain analogs of spherical (and Iwahori) Hecke algebras for representations of the group G(F) and its central extension by means of K*. For instance our spherical Hecke algebra corresponds to the subgroup G(A) where A is the subring $\calO_K((t))$ where $\calO_K\subset K$ is the ring of integers. It turns out that for generic level the spherical Hecke algebra is trivial; however, on the critical level it is quite large.
