Agriculture around the world faces a number of challenges. The aim of this paper is to investigate the impact of gross investments and agriculture investments on the level of food security in the member countries of the European Union (EU) and non-EU member countries. In the paper as a method of research hierarchical regression analysis was used. The results of the research showed that there is a statistically significant influence of gross investments and agriculture investments on the level of food security in the EU and non-EU member countries. The largest amount of gross investments and investments in agriculture was recorded in Croatia and Slovenia, as a EU members countries, which have the highest level of food security. On the other hand, the lowest volume of gross investments and investments in agriculture was recorded in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as non-EU member country, which has the lower level of food security.

The paper shows the relation between gross domestic product (GDP) and investments in the Republic of Serbia. The observed relation was analyzed at the economy level, as well as in agricultural particular. The observation period is from 2005 to 2020. The function of investments is overviewed through the capital ratio. In this way, it was established to what extent part of the newly created value is returned to the production process, both at the level of the entire economy and at the level of agricultural activity separately. The low participation of investments in the gross domestic product is highlighted, which indicates an unfavorable relationship towards economic and agricultural activity for the observed time period.

For a long period in the world, especially at the field of tourist services distribution, franchising system was been applied very successfully and example for this are world famous hotel chains. A modern man has found him self in a swirl of everyday changes and entered unprepared in to one entirely new world of assumption, which was unattended and ignored at this area for many years. Lack of necessary multidiscipline knowledge, visionary and entirely new manner of things placing lead to the situation that present man wonders seeking him in a world of business, but mistakes are often incorrigible. Because of that there is no real reason why this well sampled system, system of franchising, have been implemented in our frames as well, only when distribution is in matter, before all in vital tourist services. In the modern business conditions, most studies show irrefutable fact that more than 90% of independent business fail even in the first three years of work. Though, franchising system imposes itself as a model of distribution organization, as concerning products so as concerning services, which provides a certain independence in business dealings, as well as possibility to act in the frame of big and good developed systems.

The increased demand for food in the world has caused the development of intensive agriculture that is based on the use of considerable amount of chemical substances. The high level of use of fertilizers and plant protection substances damages the environment and has a bad impact on the food quality, whose repercussions can often be felt on environment and human health. In contrast to conventional agricultural production, healthy safe food is produced within the system of organic farming and processing. This type of food is completely grown and produced without synthetic substances (mineral fertilizers, pesticides, plant growth stimulators, hormones, etc) and genetically modified organism (GMO). The production of healthy food currently has an upward trend worldwide, and it is the result of constant demand for such products. There are attempts to initiate the use of healthy food in nutrition and thus contribute significantly to human health and environment protection. There is, however, a question arising of whether global economic crisis is likely to reduce demand for organic products.
