This study was conducted with survey method and aims to determine the attitudes of prospective Turkish language teachers who studied at Kafkas University in the 2019-2020 academic year towards e-learning with respect to the variables of gender, having a personal computer, regarding oneself proficient in computer skills, and having a stable Internet connection. The sample of the study consists of 114 prospective Turkish language teachers and was determined using the simple random sampling method. The "General Attitude Scale Towards E-Learning" developed by Haznedar & Baran (2012) was used as the data collection tool. The Likert-type scale includes 20 items and 2 sub-dimensions [e-learning disposition (items 1 to 10) and avoiding e-learning (items 11 to 20)]. The Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient of the scale found by the developers is 0.93. The reliability coefficient of the scale was found to be 0.80 in this research, which means the scale is reliable. The SPSS Statistics software package was used for the analysis of the data. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the attitudes of prospective Turkish language teachers towards e-learning did not vary by the variables of having a personal computer and regarding oneself proficient in computer skills. Also, this study showed that female students and students who stated that they do not have a stable Internet connection had a significantly negative attitude in the context of the "avoiding e-learning" sub-dimension.

This study aims to examine the opinions of teacher candidates on the use of local dialect. 50 teacher candidates, who attended Kafkas, Kilis 7 Aralik and Atatürk Universities in 2019-2020 academic year from different branches and class levels, were chosen according to convenience sampling, and participated in the study which was designed as qualitative research and a case study. The data were collected through the five-question semi-structured interview form, developed by the researchers, and were analyzed with the content analysis method. As a result of the study, it was determined that teacher candidates did not lean towards the use of local dialect mostly, but they felt comfortable while using the local dialect and did not find it necessary to make efforts to reduce the use of local dialect. Besides, it was determined that teacher candidates thought that the city they were born or lived in had an impact on the uses of local dialect, and they used the local dialect most often with their families and their friends.

The aim of this study is to analyse the speaking anxiety of Turkish teacher candidates studying in Kafkas University. The sample group of the research designed in the survey model consists of 181 Turkish teacher candidates studying in Kafkas University Faculty of Education in fall term of the 2018-2019 Academic Year, who are selected by the random sampling method. The "Speaking Anxiety Scale for the Teacher Candidates" consisting of three sub-dimensions, namely the "physiological symptoms", "skill-related anxiety" and "psychological state" and 40 items developed by Kinay and Ozkan (2014) has been used in the study as the data collection tool. The findings of the study where the SPSS 17.0 software package is used for data analysis have revealed that; while the speaking anxiety levels of Turkish teacher candidates are not high and do not change depending on their gender or their willingness to become a teacher, they change significantly depending on their grade and public speaking experience.

The purpose of this study is to examine the listening anxiety of Turkish language teacher candidates in terms of various variables. "Listening Anxiety Scale" developed by Maden and Durukan (2016) was used as data collection tool in the study conducted by a survey model. The Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of the scale was found to be 0.88. The data of the research was obtained from randomly selected 168 Turkish language teacher candidates studying in Atatürk University in 2017-2018 academic years. The obtained quantitative data by the application of the scale was transferred to SPSS Windows 15 package software program. As the result of the research using statistical package program for data analysis, it was found that even it has not been high, Turkish language teacher candidates have listening anxiety above the average and it was determined that listening anxiety has not differed significantly according to gender, grade, most frequently used language skill, and status of reading books regularly.

The purpose of this study is to investigate teacher views on improving the speaking skills of Syrian students. It is a case study which was designed with a qualitative approach. In the scope of the study, semi-structured interview forms were used to obtain the views of teachers who teach Syrian students Turkish on improvement of the speaking skills of the students (reaching goals and targeted outcomes by teachers, including speaking activities, application of methods and techniques related to speaking, usage of instruction tools and materials for speaking). The sample of the study consisted of 43 teachers who agreed to take part in the study voluntarily. Convenience sampling was employed in the study. As a result of the study, it was determined that most teachers had problems in reaching goals and targeted outcomes related to speaking, they included speaking activities infrequently, and they could not use methods and techniques for speaking as they did not have sufficient knowledge of such methods and techniques.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the problems of Turkish instruction offered to the Syrians in line with teacher opinions. A semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers has been utilized in order to determine the opinions of teachers, managers and assistant personnel engaged in teaching Turkish to the Syrians related to the issues arising from the teaching environment and the teaching equipment and materials within the extent of the research carried out in form of a case study from the qualitative research methods. The working group of study has been formed by 40 teachers determined according to the method of easy-to-reach situation and principle of voluntary participation. As a result of this research formed within the framework of teacher opinions, it has been found out that the most serious educator-originated problem in the teaching Turkish language to the Syrians was the educational perception distinction between Syrian and Turkish teachers and that the students are prejudiced against Turkish language and they did not have any need to learn Turkish and the administrators have precluded in-class activities and the auxiliary staff has exhibited inappropriate behaviors and there were serious deficiencies in the learning environment and that the materials prepared to teach Turkish to Syrians were inadequate and not matching with its intended objective.

The purpose of this research is to analyze Turkish fairy tales in the context of educational properties of fairy tales. 10 Turkish fairy tales gathered around from different parts of Turkey by several researchers have been analyzed in the scope of the research conducted by document analysis method. Determining factors of the chosen fairy tales were that they had different storylines and characters and that they were from different regions of Turkey. The data analysis of the research was conducted with content analysis method and most of the analyzed fairy tales were exemplary to the reader-listener showing the characteristics of selflessness, bravery, benevolence, and honesty whereas some of the fairy tales were found to be weak in directing the reader-listener to act with confidence and use intelligence by portraying an image of dependency for supernatural powers while solving problems by the protagonists.

The aim of this study is to examine the educational internet usage self-efficacy beliefs of Turkish teacher candidates studying at Kafkas University. The study, carried out with the survey model, included 209 Turkish teacher candidates studying at Kafkas University in 2016-2017 academic year and they were selected by random sampling method. In the study, "Educational Internet Use Self-Efficacy Beliefs Scale" developed by Sahin (2009) was used as data collection tool. The Cronbach alpha value of the scale consisting of 28 items was found to be 0.95. The data obtained were analyzed using SPPS 17.0 package program. Based on the results of the study, it was determined that Turkish teacher candidates found themselves sufficient in terms of educational internet use and educational internet usage self-efficacy beliefs did not change according to gender but differed significantly according to the grade levels of candidate teachers, owning a personal computer, and having internet connection at home.

The aim of this study is to determine the general competence perceptions aimed at assessment and evaluation of teacher candidates in terms of the program they participate in. The research is designed according to the survey model. The sample of the study consisted of 419 students selected through random sampling among the students having education in Kafkas University Faculty of Education and Karadeniz Technical University Fatih Faculty of Education in 2016-2017 academic period. In the study, "Assessment and Evaluation General Competence Perception Scale for Teacher Candidates" developed by Nartgün (2008) was used as the data collection tool. The scale has three dimensions. The dimensions of the scale have been named as "basic concepts," "assessment techniques" and "statistical analysis and reporting." As a result of the research, it has been revealed that there was a significant difference in the perception of competence to analyze and report statistics related to assessment and evaluation in terms of the program of the students. There was no significant difference in the competence perceptions of the students regarding assessment techniques and the basic concepts of assessment and evaluation in terms of the program they were in. While the Pre-school Teaching students had the highest average level of competency perceptions for the basic concepts of the scale, the students of Social Studies Teaching had the lowest average. Students in Turkish Teaching program had the highest average level of competency perceptions in terms of assessment techniques. On the other hand, the students in Classroom Teaching program had the lowest average.
