Comments. This species was collected in oligotrophic and shallow water, at various height. Most species live in springs and streams with muddy substrate or in lentic habitats with aquatic plants, but a few specimens were also collected in lotic habitats. This species was first recorded from Tunisia by Ferrari (1884). Distribution. Palearctic region (Polhemus, 1995; Carapezza, 1997; Fent et al. 2011; Aukema et al. 2013)., Published as part of Slimani, Noura, Moulet, Pierre, Chen, Ping-Ping, Nieser, Nico, Pluot-Sigwalt, Dominique, Boumaza, Moncef & Guilbert, Eric, 2015, Checklist, distribution, and a new record of Nepomorphan water bugs (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) in northern Tunisia, pp. 151-176 in Zootaxa 3981 (2) on pages 154-155, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.3981.2.1, http://zenodo.org/record/239818, {"references":["Ferrari, P.
