© 2002-2012 IEEE. License-assisted access (LAA) to unlicensed spectrum is a potential solution to improve the resource availability and system scalability of 5G/B5G networks. Challenges arise from coexistence between LAA and incumbent systems, especially the ubiquitous IEEE 802.11 WiFi systems. This article demonstrates that the coexistence can be substantially improved by leveraging learning-based clustering of small base stations (SBSs), referred to as learning-assisted clustered access (LACA), and improving the interoperability between licensed and unlicensed access. Fast signaling and a centralized control plane of licensed access can facilitate clustering SBSs for coordinated access to the unlicensed spectrum, hence reducing the number of parties contending for access and alleviating contention. Appropriate clustering of SBSs is important to the efficiency of LACA in 5G/B5G networks. LACA can quickly converge with strong locality, facilitating the coordination of the SBSs, for example, cooperatively connecting multiple users and conducting beamforming. Analytic evaluation and numerical tests confirm the improved coexistence through enlarged LAA-WiFi capacity regions, as well as reduced transmission delays.

Aiming at the needs of the reconstruction of distributed integrated electronic systems based on time- triggered Ethernet, this paper proposes a static network blueprint reconstruction algorithm for virtual link preconfiguration, and uses the virtual link preconfiguration technology to generate the corresponding static network blueprint according to the system blueprint reconstruction strategy, and combines with the message merging algorithm to optimize message preconfiguration, and validates and analyzes the static network blueprint reconstruction algorithm, builts the omnet++ software modular simulation platform to realize the rapid activation of the preconfigured virtual link when a preset network failure occurred.

After Time-triggered Ethernet migrates faults due to node failure, it is necessary to recalculate and schedule the messages that have been migrated. Because there are messages that have completed initial scheduling in the network, scheduling conflicts may occur in incremental scheduling of newly added backup nodes, resulting in failure of solution. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a step-by-step incremental scheduling backtracking algorithm based on impact factor. If the incremental scheduling does not find a feasible solution, the strategy of step-by-step backtracking is adopted. According to the size of the impact factor, the messages on the non fault nodes and the message incremental scheduling planning is carried out together with the existing messages to be scheduled.

Carry trade refers to a risky arbitrage in interest rate differentials between two currencies. Persistent excess carry trade returns pose a challenge to foreign exchange market efficiency. Using a data set of ten currencies between 1990 and 2017, we find: (i) a machine learning model, long short-term memory (LSTM) networks, forecast carry trade returns better than linear and threshold regressions based on economic fundamentals; and (ii) excess carry trade returns deteriorate after the 2007--2008 global financial crisis in LSTM networks and other model forecasts, indicating that the uncovered interest rate parity may still hold in the long run.

Based on the significantly synergistic effects of CDK4 and VEGFR2 inhibitors on growth of cancer cells, a series of novel multi-kinase inhibitors targeting CDK4 and VEGFR2 were designed, synthesized and evaluated, among which Roxyl-ZV-5J exhibited potent and balanced activities against both CDK4 and VEGFR2 with half-maximal inhibitory concentration at the nanomolar level. It effectively induced breast and cervical cancer cell cycle arrest and cell apoptosis. Roxyl-ZV-5J also inhibited the proliferation, tube formation and VEGFR2 downstream signaling pathways of HUVECs. Oral administration of Roxyl-ZV-5J led to significant tumor regression and anti-angiogenesis without obvious toxicity in SiHa xenograft mouse model. In addition, this compound showed good pharmacokinetics. This study confirmed a new tool for dual CDK-VEGFR2 pathways inhibition achieved with a single molecule, which provided valuable leads for further structural optimization and anti-angiogenesis and anti-tumor mechanism study.

Background/aims Previous research has indicated that the currently available histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACis) are not effective as monotherapies against oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). However, HDACis act synergistically with other therapeutic agents to exert significant antitumor activities. Thus, a strategy to develop chemotherapeutic agents by combining several active groups based on histone deacetylase (HDAC) into a single molecule as a conjugate that modulates multiple cellular pathways may be useful for the treatment of OSCC. Methods The novel inhibitor Roxyl-ZR was prepared by organic synthesis and its anticancer effects on OSCC were investigated by cell metabolism (n=5), colony formation (n=3), cell cycle (n=3), cell apoptosis (n=3), wound healing (n=3), transwell migration (n=3), and 5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine staining (n=3) assays in vitro and in in vivo xenograft mice models (4 mice/group for subcutaneous xenograft and 3 mice/group for orthotopic xenograft ). The abundance of Ki67, Bcl-2, and p-STAT3 was detected by immunohistochemistry staining (n=4). Apoptotic cells in the tumor tissues of mice were detected by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nickend labeling assay (n=3). The abundance of related proteins levels were evaluated by western blot (n=3). E-cadherin expression was detected by an immunofluorescence assay (n=3). Results Compared with the approved HDACi, conjugated Roxyl-ZR exhibited significantly higher antitumor effects in OSCC cells. Roxyl-ZR suppressed OSCC cell proliferation by inducing the reduction of S phase and inducing caspase-dependent apoptosis by down-regulating Bcl-2 expression. Moreover, Roxyl-ZR attenuated the epithelial-mesenchymal transition, which is closely associated with migration and invasion. In addition, Roxyl-ZR inhibited OSCC xenograft mice models and showed low toxicity. The mechanism underlying the Roxyl-ZR-enhanced sensitivity to HDACi may be attributed to the inhibition of key regulators of JAK1-STAT3 signaling pathway. Conclusion HDAC-cyclin-dependent kinase conjugates represent a novel approach to the development of OSCC treatment. Our findings may open a new avenue for the development of novel inhibitors for the treatment of OSCC.

It has been discovered that image motions and optical flows usually become much more nonlinear and anisotropic in space-borne cameras with large field of view, especially when perturbations or jitters exist. The phenomenon arises from the fact that the attitude motion greatly affects the image of the three-dimensional planet. In this paper, utilizing the characteristics, an optical flow inversion method is proposed to treat high-accurate remote sensor attitude motion measurement. The principle of the new method is that angular velocities can be measured precisely by means of rebuilding some nonuniform optical flows. Firstly, to determine the relative displacements and deformations between the overlapped images captured by different detectors is the primary process of the method. A novel dense subpixel image registration approach is developed towards this goal. Based on that, optical flow can be rebuilt and high-accurate attitude measurements are successfully fulfilled. In the experiment, a remote sensor and its original photographs are investigated, and the results validate that the method is highly reliable and highly accurate in a broad frequency band.

This paper reports that novel method to tune the reflection properties of the ultra-black nickel–phosphorus (Ni–P) film by anodization of the Ni–P films in non-oxide acid electrolyte. The Ni–P films (x%, x stands for mass percentage of phosphorus), which possess both crystalline and amorphous structure with a thickness of 10 μm confirmed by XRD and SEM, were obtained by electroless deposited method on Al substrates. The blacking process of the Ni–P film is first divided definitely into two parts involving acid etching and oxidation testified by XPS and SEM. The mechanism study on blacking process demonstrates the acid etching introduces the change in morphology inducing the presence in conical cavities with minute hairlike structures and decreasing the reflectance; oxidation brings on the change in chemical composition enhancing the absorption capacity. The ultra-black Ni–P film with an etched pore depth of 5 μm obtained by anodization method demonstrates easiness of control and operation, strong adhesion and low reflectance (0.45%). Therefore, this work provides a facile approach for the tunable fabrication of the ultra-black Ni–P film based on anodization method in non-oxidizing acid electrolyte, which can be practical applied in fields of black coating.
