Resumen: Introducción: En este trabajo se analizarán las características principales del Modelo de Educación Deportiva (MED) y los numerosos beneficios que este modelo pedagógico tiene en el alumnado, destacando entre otros, la mejora de la motivación, la autonomía y la socialización. Así mismo se diseña una propuesta de intervención de ocho sesiones para trabajar con estudiantes de Educación Primaria. Objetivos: realizar una observación documental sobre el MED y una propuesta de intervención educativa basada en el MED. Métodos: revisión no sistemática de la literatura científica consultando base de datos de datos relevantes. Resultados y discusión: son muchos los beneficios que se pueden obtener al aplicar este modelo de enseñanza de Educación Física, para ello se presenta una experiencia práctica, diseñada como Unidad Didáctica para el juego predeportivo de pinfuvote empleando el MED. Natural killer (NK) cells are usually identified by the absence of other lineage markers, due to the lack of cell-surface-specific receptors. CD56 neg NK cells, classically identified as CD56 neg CD16+, are very scarce in the peripheral blood of healthy people but they expand in some pathological conditions. However, studies on CD56 neg NK cells had revealed different results regarding the phenotype and functionality. This could be due to, among others, the unstable expression of CD16, which hinders CD56 neg NK cells' proper identification. Hence, we aim to determine an alternative surface marker to CD16 to better identify CD56 neg NK cells. We have found that NKp80 is superior to CD16. Furthermore, we found differences between the functionality of CD56 neg NKp80+ and CD56 neg CD16+, suggesting that the effector functions of CD56 neg NK cells are not as diminished as previously thought. We proposed NKp80 as a noteworthy marker to identify and accurately re-characterize human CD56 neg NK cells.

This paper intends to research on the link between musical similarity and style and sub-style (variant) classification in the context of flamenco a cappella singing styles. Given the limitation of standard computational models for melodic characterization and similarity computation in this particular context, we have proposed a specific set of melodic features adapted to flamenco singing styles. In order to evaluate them, we have gathered a collection of music recordings from the most representative singers and have manually extracted those proposed features. Based on those features, we have defined a similarity measure between two performances and have validated their usefulness in differentiating several styles and variants. The main conclusion of this work is the need to incorporate specific musical features to the design of similarity measures for flamenco music so that flamencoadapted MIR systems can be developed. Adequacy of dialysis is addressed to minimize the negative consequences of underdialysis. The results of the NCSD demonstrated that urea kinetic modelling (UKM) is a useful tool in the measurement of adequacy of dialysis: Kt/V values of 1 are considered adequate to prevent complications when daily protein intake is appropriate. For CAPD no similar prospective studies exist, and consequently there is no information comparable to that for haemodialysis. Preliminary data have communicated controversial results about the usefulness of UKM for CAPD prescription. On the other hand creatinine kinetics has been proposed as an alternative to UKM to define adequacy of dialysis on CAPD. However, these results should be considered preliminary because of the small size of the series and the short observation period. The objective of this paper is to study the role of these two kinetic models in defining adequacy of dialysis in a long-term, selected CAPD population. We have studied 56 patients treated for at least 3 years on CAPD (3-11 years; mean observation period 5 years; 3996 patient-months). Urea kinetic model (UKM) (urea weekly (W) Kt/V and NPCR) and creatinine kinetics (Efficacy number (EN) and K) were determined annually. According to the present data we can conclude that Kt/V is an appropriate tool for defining adequacy in patients on CAPD. Values of weekly Kt/V greater than 1.7-1.8, with NPCR more than 1 g/kg/day, assure an adequate clinical outcome. Conversely, values on the Kt/V scale less than 1.7 entail a greater rate of complications. Our data also confirm that maintaining a serum albumin536-551 mumol/l (3.7-3.8 g/dl) is related to lower morbidity and mortality, and should be a major objective for CAPD patients. Consequently a relationship between dose of dialysis in terms of urea mass balance and protein nutrition can be established. After 5 years on CAPD, when all residual renal function is generally lost, Kt/V values in excess of 1.9 are difficult to achieve. Based on currently available information, we do agree with the interest of performing a prospective study on adequacy of dialysis based on the urea kinetic model in CAPD, which definitely defines its role. On the other hand, creatinine kinetics did not show sufficient discriminative capacity in terms of adequacy of dialysis. EN and Kt of creatinine values in the lower range (4.5-6 and less than 45-50 1/week respectively) were not necessarily associated with a poorer clinical outcome.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 400 WORDS)

Anemia of CRF has been corrected by use of H-R-EPO both in hemodialysis and CAPD patients. Long term response to subcutaneous EPO and its relationship with serum EPO levels remain to be established. Twenty-five CAPD patients treated with CAPD during 30 +/- 28 (mean +/- SD) months were included in this study. The follow-up period was 6-24 months. All patients have been on CAPD at least 6 months and their Hemoglobin (Hb) level was lower than 8.5 g/dl. Twelve patients received EPO by subcutaneous route, at doses of 20 u./Kg daily and 13 other patients at doses of 2000 units twice a week. Thereafter, these doses were adjusted to obtain a Hemoglobin level ranging 10.5-13 g/dl. In conclusion, our results suggest that the subcutaneous route for H-R-Erythropoietin can be considered as the best choice for CAPD patients. Low doses twice a week seem to improve anemia in 2 months. Later, dose adjustment should be done according to the patient's response. The improvement in nutritional status we observed suggests a new positive aspect for EPO therapy. Our data did not show changes in peritoneal function.

Three homogenous groups of CAPD patients, all of them with plasma hemoglobin levels lower than 8 g/dl were studied. Group 1 included 8 patients who received EPO by the subcutaneous route (s.c), at doses of 20 u./kg daily; this dose was reduced when a hemoglobin level higher than 10.5 g/dl was reached. Group 2 included 7 patients treated with EPO by subcutaneous route but at doses of 2000 units twice a week. Group 3 was constituted by 4 patients receiving EPO by intraperitoneal route (i.p.), at doses of 4000 u/day, three days a week. All patients showed an increase in hematocrit and Hb levels after three months of treatment, but the mean EPO dose was quite different comparing the groups, maintaining the reached levels at the 9th month; reticulocyte count increased only during the first month. The rest of clinical and biochemical parameters did not suffer any significant modifications. Our features showed a higher profit, that is, higher increase in Hb level with lower dose of EPO in the s.c. group in respect to i.p. group. Furthermore, we have registered a marked increase in the frequency of exogenous peritonitis in these particular patients while using i.p. EPO. In conclusion, we feel that subcutaneous route for H-R-Erythropoietin is an ideal way for this treatment, resulting in a more adequate profit ratio than that described in hemodialysis patients. The intraperitoneal route is more expensive and risky for the peritoneum, probably as a consequence of the increase of manipulations.
