Soil quality determines the ability of soil to deliver ecosystem services and can be inferred from physical, biological and chemical indicators either in isolation or in combination. Earthworms are good soil-quality indicators that contribute to both chemical and physical quality by maintaining soil structure and cycling nutrients. The presence of dung pats can increase earthworm abundance locally and consequently the network of pores that they create through their burrowing activity. Inevitably this affects soil structure and consequently will have a spatially distributed effect on soil physical quality (SPQ). The aim of this field study was to examine the relationship between SPQ and earthworm abundance under dung and non-dung pat areas from deposition to decay and beyond. The present spatial and temporal study compared SPQ indicator (integral air-water energy, [AW.sub.r]) results with earthworm abundance across control and simulated dung pat treatments. Results showed that existing earthworm populations in this grassland were already very large (>500 individuals [m.sup.-2]) and SPQ ([AW.sub.r]) remained in the 'very good' category throughout the experiment. Earthworm abundance under dung pats and SPQ exhibited a significant (P = 0.05) temporal trend. In general, the time of decay of the dung pats played a role in increasing earthworm abundance and SPQ. Earthworm abundance and macropore density data formed a similar, 'hump'-shaped dynamic over time. However, when an earthworm abundance threshold was exceeded (equivalent to about >3000 individuals [m.sup.-2]), the increase of SPQ under dung was attenuated and did increase further only under the control sward with high earthworm abundance. After 11 weeks, for both treatments, [AW.sub.r] under dung pats was capped at 0.83% and AW, under control sward peaked at 1.34%. Future work should focus on (a) further exploration of the threshold where earthworm abundance becomes detrimental for SPQ and (b) using the [AW.sub.r] SPQ indicator within an actual grazed trial which incorporates a gradient of soil degradation. Angiogenesis is a well-established therapeutic target in gynecological malignancies. Vascular growth factor (VEGF) plays a critical role in angiogenesis, but also other growth factor receptors, such as platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) and fibroblast growth factor (FGF), have been demonstrated to contribute to it. Pazopanib is an oral multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) under clinical investigation in late clinical trials for the treatment of gynecological cancers. Moreover, in 2012 the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved pazopanib for the treatment of advanced soft-tissue sarcomas, including uterine leiomyosarcoma. This review aims to provide a complete and updated overview on results of clinical studies of pazopanib for the treatment of gynecological malignancies, highlighting the ongoing trials. OBJECTIVE. To evaluate the educational preparation of staff nurses working on child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient services. METHODS. A 40-item questionnaire was sent to 169 staff nurses in nine institutions. One hundred seventeen questionnaires (69.2%) were suitable for analyses. RESULTS. Respondents ranged in age from 22 to 52 years (mean = 34.7, +/- 7.43 years) and 87.2% (n = 102) were women. Seventy-one percent (n = 83) of the respondents agreed that basic nursing education inadequately prepared them for work on child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient services. Deficiencies were cited in psychopharmacology, child psychiatric diagnosis, child psychopathology, and milieu treatment. There were few differences across educational type. CONCLUSION. Recent advances in psychiatric epidemiology, psychopharmacology, and neuroscience merit greater attention in undergraduate nursing education. Treatment-related decreases in Dysfunctional Attitudes Scale (DAS; Weissman & Beck, 1978) scores have been interpreted as evidence that dysfunctional attitudes are state-dependent concomitants of depression. Data from the National Institute of Mental Health Treatment of Depression Collaborative Research Program were used to reexamine the stability of dysfunctional attitudes. Mean scores for Perfectionism, Need for Approval, and total DAS decreased after 16 weeks of treatment. However, test-retest correlations showed that the DAS variables displayed considerable relative stability. Structural equation models demonstrated that dysfunctional attitudes after treatment were significantly predicted by initial level of dysfunctional attitudes as well as by posttreatment depression. The relative stability of dysfunctional attitudes was even higher during the 18-month follow-up period. The results were consistent with Beck's (1967) and Blatt's (1974) theories of vulnerability. Arboleda-Tham syndrome (ARTHS, MIM 616268) is a rare genetic disease, due to a pathogenic variant of Lysine (K) Acetyltransferase 6A (KAT6A) with autosomal dominant inheritance. Firstly described in 2015, ARTHS is one of the more common causes of undiagnosed syndromic intellectual disability. Due to extreme phenotypic variability, ARTHS clinical diagnosis is challenging, mostly at early stage of the disease. Moreover, because of the wide and unspecific spectrum of ARTHS, identification of the syndrome during prenatal life rarely occurs. Therefore, reported cases of KAT6A syndrome have been identified primarily through clinical or research exome sequencing in a gene-centric approach.
