Characteristics of blockchain technologies, such as decentralization, anonymity, auditability, transparency, reliability and immutability, have inspired numerous potential applications in the field of biomedicine. The goal of this research is to point out the possibilities of using blockchain technologies in biomedical applications, with a focus on extended medical supply chain management and transparent end-to-end data provisioning. As a possible approach, we propose a blockchain-based platform for storing data from the medical supply chain, data about and measured using various medical devices, patient medical records, personal health records, sensor data, and others, in order to provide all stakeholders with access to relevant and accurate data and raise the level of trust. We present the components needed for the implementation of the proposed system. Finally, we discuss the benefits and challenges related to the implementation of the proposed system.)

This paper proposes a prototype of the crowdsensing system for pollution monitoring in a smart city based on data streaming. The first part of the paper analyses concepts, characteristics, and platforms for data streaming. The Apache Kafka solution for data flow management is described. The paper proposes infrastructure for data streaming from the IoT crowdsensing sys-tems for monitoring pollution in smart cities. Crowdsensing services included in this system enable the monitoring of pollution parameters in smart cities. Collected pollution data in the smart city (traffic vibrations, noise, allergens, and air pollution) can be conducted using the Internet of Things (microcom-puters, microcontrollers, sensors, etc.) and mobile devices, sent to the Apache Kafka cluster using the MQTT protocol, and then data can be streamed via the web application to end users. Active parts in collecting pol-lution data have citizens. All collected data can be processed, analyzed, and streamed using the proposed data streaming infrastructure for smart city crowdsensing systems.

This article considers the fluorescence spectra of aflatoxin in cow’s milk and coffee grounds. It was shown that fluorescence spectra of aflatoxin change in time. Fluorescence maximum I increases linearly with time and can be expressed with linear regression. For cow’s milk, regression is I[rel.unit]=195+17.75´t [days] and for coffee grounds it is I[rel.unit]= 240+9.58´t(days). This work presents a small step towards better protection of human health from the unfavorable effect of aflatoxin.

This article considers concepts, models, achieved results and emerging trends of the open innovation approach to organizing and conducting research and development activities in companies. The goal is to perform a comprehensive systematic analysis of literature that considers the open innovation models that focus on the collaboration of various stakeholders, including companies, academia, government, startups, individuals, and others, in the context of design and development of innovative digital services, through integration of crowdsourcing and DevOps. This chapter analyses the role and potential applications that blockchain as a technology can bring to C2C e-commerce business models. The main goal is to present a systematic analysis of potential applications of blockchain in C2C e-commerce, presenting the expected benefits and the main challenges. As a proof-of-concept, the chapter will specifically address the aspect of developing a C2C market based on blockchain, addressing the specifics of the business model, implementation aspects, and interest of potential customers. The authors propose a design of a C2C platform based on blockchain, that enables efficient and secure C2C transactions without intermediaries. The authors also present the results of a preliminary readiness study, based on the UTAUT2 model of assessing technological readiness. The results point out the importance of the effect of social influence on behavioral intention. The results aim to help business and technical developers shape their blockchain-based e-commerce business models.

This article presents a game-based learning model designed for tourists in a smart city. The goal is to increase tourists’ sightseeing experience, tourist spot visitation rates, learning, and satisfaction. The educational game was designed using the advanced web, mobile, IoT, augmented reality, and blockchain technologies. The game aims to guide tourists and test their knowledge about a city. The rewards selected to motivate players' progress in the game were defined as tokens saved on the blockchain and used to claim prizes. We present the architecture of the proposed system and the business model for the sustainable operation of the proposed system. The proposed approach is expected to contribute to introducing smart tourism services and promoting the general experience of tourists.

This article presents an example of an innovative e-business model for the fashion industry based on blockchain technologies. Concepts related to Web3 and blockchain are analyzed, with a special focus on the analysis of existing business models and the changes that blockchain brings. The aim of the research is to show the integration of existing forms of e-business with the Web3 environment, blockchain platforms, and the NFT marketplace. As a proof of concept, an example of developing a business model for the fashion industry based on blockchain and NFT technologies is presented. The proposed model should show how blockchain technologies can be applied in the supply chain of the fashion industry to track business transactions between all stakeholders. A special focus is on the presentation of the developed prototype of smart contracts using the Solidity programming language, and the implementation of the Fashion NFT Marketplace.

This article considers two approaches to improving engineering education through open innovation: one focuses on informal educational activities through organizing student competitions and hackathons, and the second focuses on implementing project-based learning in formal education. The main goal is to compare the effectiveness and implementation challenges of the two proposed strategies. Both approaches were implemented at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, for teaching and learning the subjects in IT education, namely blockchain technologies and IoT. The results show that both approaches provide good results and positively affect learning outcomes and students' motivation. We analyze the advantages and challenges of each of them in detail and provide guidelines for their implementation.
