Undergraduate research course content is examined in a survey of 131 programs. A need is seen for integration of research content with the entire social work curriculum and for clarification of research content guidelines, since research use affects the development of social work theory, practice, and accountability. Examines current approaches to treating child abuse using a model that includes both parents and children. Shows how a rural Parents Anonymous chapter, combined with a children's group, is an effective family-focused option for dealing with child abuse. (Author)
