Abstract

We model the generation of words with independent unequal probabilities of occurrence of letters. We prove that the probability $p(r)$ of occurrence of words of rank $r$ has a power asymptotics. As distinct from the paper published earlier by B. Conrad and M. Abstract

Brane model of universe is considered for zero-mass particle. Equation of Wheeler - de Witt type is obtained using variation principle from the well-known conservation laws inside the brane. This equation includes term accounting the variation of brane topology. Solutions are obtained analytically at some simplifications and the dispersion relations are derived for frequency of wave associated with the particle.

Abstract

The paper presents diagrams and algorithms for selecting the optimal variant of technological operations for decommissioning nuclear facilities under conditions of uncertainty in the initial data. Uncertainties of expert assessments and calculated values of the initial data give rise to uncertainties in the values of indicators for the options for technological operations for the decommissioning of nuclear facilities. The choice of the optimal variant of technological operations is made on the basis of a complex indicator that combines particular indicators in the form of a linear superposition for each considered option of choosing a set of technological operations for the decommissioning of an object. The scheme for choosing the optimal option under conditions of uncertainty in the initial data uses the Monte Carlo scheme of realizing random data values, constructing histograms of a complex indicator and choosing the optimal option based on comparing the characteristics of the obtained histograms. 46. Effect of the dynamics of the regular ionosphere on the conditions of existence of group delay resonances during vertical radiosounding

Abstract

The effect of the regular diurnal variations in the nonmonotonous model Ne(h) profile with a valley between the E and F layers on the conditions of existence of group delay resonances has been studied. The performed calculations of the rate of resonance frequency bias and resonance halfwidth indicated that resonances are destroyed due to the Ne(h) profile dynamics even at insignificant (∼ 10 kHz) departures from the E layer critical frequency. The number of resonances that can be registered during vertical radiosounding changes from one to three depending on the diurnal variations in the E layer thickness, valley dimensions, and rates of its changes.
