Abstract

An interview with intellectual scholar and author Charles Taylor is presented. When asked about the Kyoto Prize which he won, Taylor related how he was surprised of the award and said that he did not expect to win the very rare honour. Taylor offers information about his book "Sources of the Self" in which he offered criticism about the society and culture. He also explained his view regarding the liberal democracy in his work and on the cultural perspective.
