Abstract

In this article, we prove the existence of weak solutions to a family of discrete boundary-value problems whose right-hand side belongs to a discrete Hilbert space. As an extension, we prove the existence of weak solutions for problems whose right-hand side depends on the solution.

We study the anisotropic boundary-value problem $$displaylines{ -sum^{N}_{i=1}frac{partial}{partial x_{i}}a_{i}(x,frac{partial}{partial x_{i}}u)=f quad hbox{in } Omega, cr u=0 quadhbox{on }partial Omega, }$$ where $Omega$ is a smooth bounded domain in $mathbb{R}^{N}$ $(Ngeq 3)$. We obtain the existence and uniqueness of a weak energy solution for $fin L^{infty}(Omega)$, and the existence of weak energy solution for general data $f$ dependent on $u$.

Abstract

We prove the existence of weak solutions for an anisotropic homoclinic discrete nonlinear system. Suitable Hilbert spaces and norms are constructed. The proof of the main result is based on a minimization method. We also extend the problem by using generalized penality and source functions.

Abstract

In this paper, we develop a mathematical model of the COVID-19 pandemic in Burkina Faso. We use real data from Burkina Faso National Health Commission against COVID-19 to predict the dynamic of the disease and also the cumulative number of reported cases. We use public policies in model in order to reduce the contact rate, this allows to show how the reduction of the daily report of infectious cases goes, so we would like to draw the attention of decision makers for a rapid treatment of reported cases.
