Abstract

Digital technologies foster two types of attitudes: either the enchanted discourse about the wonder of global access to information or the catastrophy of the digital divide which expands the social divide between riche and poor, especially between North and South of the planet. Beyond these attitudes, the present communication aims at reconsidering the nature of relationship between nations in a symbolic perspective of information exchange. Rather than borders between nations we prefer to speak of mutual exchange of cultures and identities. Traduction is a process that permits exchanges and can be carried out due to the universal adoption of digital technologies by the young generations of all continents.

Abstract

L'étude des collisions d'ions lourds aux énergies intermédiaries (10 $\to$ 100 MeV/u) a montré, la persistance des mécanismes dits de basses énergie, comme la fission, les collisions inélastiques et la fusion incomplète. Le but de cette thèse est de caractériser ce dernier mécanisme aux différentes énergies . Ce mécanisme est bien connu à basse énergie : nous avons la formation d'un noyau composé thermalisé qui va se désexciter soit par fission symétrique, soit par évaporation de particules. l'événement détecté sera donc un résidu voire deux, associé à de sparticules légères. Le système retenu pour cette analyse était Ar + KCl à différentes énergies 32. 40, 52 et 74 MeV/u. Ces expériences ont été réalisées à l'aide du multidétecteur INDRA à Ganil (Caen). La qualité de détection d'INDRA nous a permis d'utiliser de nouvelles méthodes d'analyse, à l'aide de variables dites globales. Dans un premier temps nous les avons comparées afin de choisir la mieux adaptée à notre étude. Puis nous avons extrait de nos événéments bruts, les événements de fusion incomplète, ceci aux énergies de 32. 40 et 52 MeV/u. Il s'est avéré que la proportion de ce mécanisme était très faible à 52 MeV/u voire nulle à 74 MeV/u. Nous avons regardé les événéments à trois fragments éventuelle signatrue de la multifragmentation. Nous n'avons pas trouvé de multifragmentation instantanée accompagnée d'une énergie d'expansion radiale, la désexcitation semble être uniquement séquentielle. Mais une étude supplémentaire sera nécessaire pour conclure. D'autre part nous vons réalisé des simulations BNB, afin de confronter nos résultats expérimentaux avec un code, utilisant une résolution semi-classique de l'équation de transport de Landau-Vlasov. Nous obtenons un bon accord sur la taille du noyau composé formé. En revanche l'énergie d'excitation est mal reproduite. Le code tend à surestimer l'énergie emmenée par le prééquilibre. Le mécanisme de fusion incomplète "classique" disparaît assez rapidement avec l'énergie et ne semble pas remplacé par une multifragmentation instantanée accompagnée d'une énergie d'expansion., NIL

Abstract

Ar + Ni and Ni + Ni collisions are investigated between 32 and around 100A MeV incident energy with the 4π multidetector INDRA. Fusion cross-sections are found to decrease from ∼ 180mb at 32A MeV to zero above 50A MeV. Other experimental results, for light systems, are compared. Moreover, theoretical works are discussed and fusion cross-sections, calculated from two dynamical simulations based on nuclear Boltzmann equation (Boltzmann-Nordheim-Vlasov and Landau-Vlasov models), are also compared to experimental results. Abstract

The shape of the velocity distributions of charged particles projected on the beam direction can be explained if emissions from the hot projectile-like fragment and the target-like fragment are supplemented by an emission from an intermediate velocity source located between them. The creation of this source is predicted by a two-stage reaction model where, in the second stage, some of the nucleons identified in the first stage as participants form a group of clusters located in the region between the colliding nuclei. The cluster coalescence process is governed on the average by the maximum value of entropy, although its fluctuations are also significant. The properties of the intermediate velocity source are precisely described, including the isotopic composition of the emitted particles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The creation of hot Ca-like fragments was investigated in the 40Ca + 40Ca reaction at 35 AMeV. Using the AMPHORA 4π detector system, the primary projectile-like fragment was reconstructed and its properties were determined. Both primary and secondary distributions are compared with the predictions of a Monte Carlo code describing a heavy-ion collision as a two-step process. Some of the nucleons which are identified as participants in the first step are transferred in the second step to these final states, which correspond on the average to the maximum value of entropy (thermodynamic probability). The model allows for competition between mean-field effects and nucleon-nucleon interactions in the overlap zone of the interacting nuclei. The analysis presented here suggests a thermalized source picture of the decay of the projectile-like fragment. The validity of the reconstruction procedure for projectile-like fragments is discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
