Purpose: Anthracyclines are indispensable drugs for induction therapy in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Idarubicin (IDA) and Epirubicin (EPI) are the most frequently used anthracyclines agents. Here, we report a retrospective study comparing the acute toxicities of the two drugs in pediatric ALL. Methods: From April 2018 to 2021, we enrolled forty-one children with untreated ALL. Patients were assigned to induction therapy, consisting of either EPI (30 mg/m2 ) or IDA (8 mg/m2). Acute hematological and cardiac toxicities which consisted of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), Echocardiography, Peripheral blood cell count,and minimal residual disease (MRD) were evaluated. Results: Ultrasound cardiography and BNP revealed no significant difference in terms of cardiac function between groups. What’s more, acute hematological toxicity during the early stage was similar between the two groups. Further, MRD between the two groups were identical.Conclusions: We found that acute hematological and cardiac toxicity were approximately the same between the two groups during induction chemotherapy.

Rationale: Relapsed or refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia poses a significant clinical challenge due to its poor prognosis, showing survival rates of less than a year even with the use of novel therapies. In this report, we describe the safe and effective use of trametinib combined with dasatinib in a patient with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on the successful use of 2 targeted drugs such as trametinib and dasatinib in a pediatric patient with Ph+ ALL and recurrent pancreatitis. Patient concerns: A 6-year-old boy with ALL and Philadelphia chromosome (Ph+) who had recurrent asparaginase-associated pancreatitis. Diagnosis: The patient was diagnosed with ALL, based on clinical features, laboratory analyses, bone marrow aspiration evaluation in morphology, immunology, cytogenetics, and molecular. Interventions: The patient was treated with dasatinib combined with an intermediate risk-oriented chemotherapy. However, owing to recurrent asparaginase-associated pancreatitis, the patient has to abandon asparaginase in consolidation. Considering the high risk of relapse, we used trametinib and dasatinib combined with chemotherapy as maintenance chemotherapy. Outcomes: After 6 months, there were no obvious side effects or residual disease. Lessons: We suggest that the combination of trametinib and dasatinib may represent a viable option to treat patients with potential relapsed/refractory Ph+ ALL.

In order to the problem of short life of air filter in intake system due to the harsh working conditions of commercial vehicles(CV), the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method was used to simulate the velocity flow field of the three high inlet pipe assemblies, and the velocity cloud of different vortex fan angle were obtained. These velocity cloud diagram proves that the velocity gradient is caused by the angle of the vortex fan, and the velocity gradient can coarsely separate the dust, droplet and gas. The rack experiment method was adopted for the three high inlet pipe assemblies to evaluate its the pre-filter performance. The test results show that the vortex fan at the front end of the tube plays a good role in the pre-filtration of dusts and droplets. And the pre-filtration efficiency reaches over 87%. Effectively extend the life of the air filter element.
