This paper is about sustainable Electromagnetic Metamaterials (EM-MM), which are a new class of artificial materials with unique electromagnetic properties that cannot be found in nature. These materials are made from discrete micro and nanoscale objects which resonate, allowing for precise control over how they interact with electromagnetic waves, and hence, leading to unheard of functionalities. Thus the need for sustainable synthesis methods for EM-MM has become paramount to mitigate the quantity of resources associated with conventional fabrication techniques. Renewable resources like biopolymers that mimic natural patterns are examples of the sustainable use of bio based synthetic material pathways. This may guarantee sustainability through fabricating additive manufacturing strategies, especially 3D printing innovation where fabric statement is controlled only as required, diminishing waste. With all this recycling and up cycling offer opportunities for development and cost reduction while reducing the natural impacts related to sustainability. There are several different domains have benefited from the application of EM MM, for example solar energy harvesting offer potential for sustainable power generation, imaging uses met material lenses which have superior resolution and sensitivity, while in telecommunications met material antennas ensure to transmit and get signals more successfully. Context: The most common cause for endodontic failures has been ascribed to improper obturation of root canal space. An ideal endodontic filling should approximate the obturation material in close contact with the root canal wall to minimize the sealer content. Voids cause a problem of harboring bacteria leading to treatment failure. Aims: The aim of the present study was to compare and analyze filled area after using single cone, cross-linked gutta-percha core-carrier systems, and injection-molded thermoplasticized obturation technique. Subjects and Methods: Thirty-nine human mandibular premolars with a single oval canal were selected. Biomechanical preparation was done using HyFlexCM. Samples were categorized into three groups and filled with single cone, cross-linked gutta-percha core-carrier systems, and injection-molded thermoplasticized obturation technique. Sectioning was done at 3, 6, 9, and 12 mm from the apex. The percentage of gutta-percha-filled areas (PGFAs) and percentage of void areas (PVA) were analyzed using a stereomicroscope. Statistical Analysis Used: Analysis of variance-one way. Results: A statistically significant difference was not found in terms of PGFA and PVA at 3 mm among the three groups. However, the cross-linked carrier-based and injection-molded thermoplasticized groups showed overall highly significant differences with the single-cone obturation group at 6, 9, and 12 mm (P < 0.001). Conclusions: The cross-linked carrier-based and injection-molded thermoplasticized groups exhibited more gutta-percha filled area than single-cone obturation technique and thus turned out to be more effective in achieving homogenous root canal filling. ABSTRACT: Introduction: Mandibular angle fractures (MAFs) are divisive and have led to debate in terms of treatment. The study evaluated the new angled miniplate (banana plate) with the conventional miniplate for management of MAFs. Patients and Methods: The study included 53 patients of MAFs, 26 treated with the conventional miniplate (control group) and 27 with the angled miniplate (study group). The patients were followed up and evaluated for 6 months for mouth opening, bite force, and complications. Results: A longer operating time was noted in the study group. The mouth opening and bite force were higher in the study group with fewer postoperative complications. Conclusion: The new angled miniplate mimics the angle of the mandible and offers better tridimensional stability, fewer complications, and improved stability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] more...
