The article is aimed at analyzing characteristics of labor migration from Ukraine to the European Union and evaluating the possible consequences of this process, as well as determining the future development trends in terms of emigration from Ukraine. The main directions of labor migration from Ukraine have been examined. An estimation of the volume of labor migration has been provided. Data about the socio-demographic characteristics of migrants have been presented. It is specified that the process of emigration has both positive and negative consequences for our country. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of employment settings of migrants in the Member States of the European Union. The main causes of emigration from Ukraine, among which both unemployment and low wages, have been allocated. The authors prove that the average monthly salary of Ukrainian migrants in the EU Member States is much higher than in Ukraine. On the basis of the carried out study has been concluded that labor migration from Ukraine to the EU has important socio-economic importance to our State. At the same time, signing of the Association agreement between Ukraine, on the one hand, and the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community and their Member States, on the other hand, as well as introduction of a visa-free regime, will contribute to an increase in the number of labor migrants.

The article is aimed to analyze new trends taking place in the today's global economy, with the purpose of forecasting the future architecture of the world economy and determining roles of various world countries in the global economic system. Contemporary trends of the economic globalization process in terms of both the trade and investment aspects were examined. Characteristics features and elements of economic globalization were allocated. It has been specified that this process is of controversial nature and can bring ambiguous implications for the world countries. A few years ago the developed countries were leaders in both the world trade and global investment, but nowadays there is a change in the architecture of the world economy for the benefit of the developing countries. It has been emphasized that in the developing countries the process of transnationalization is taking place violently: new transnational corporations are being created and developed, which carry out active expansions on the markets of the both developed and developing countries. Rapidly growing are trade and investment flows within the developing countries that provides them with the means of production and large sales markets.

The article investigates price aspects of positioning brands in the activities of transnational corporations. The authors argue that the price has a significant impact on the process of brand positioning in different markets. Brands exist in different price segments. Transnational corporations often expand their portfolio of brands by creating both expensive and cheap brands. The authors highlighted advantages and threats in the creation and development of brands both in "high" and "lower" price segments of the market. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction. Dutch disease manifests itself in deindustrialization of the economy that occurs when a nation possesses natural resources constituting a significant share in its exports. Its main limit is the growth of the national currency rate due to the improvement in the trade balance, which reduces competitiveness of the manufacturing sector products. However, the symptoms of the Dutch disease may develop when the proportion of the mining sector in national exports grows at a relatively faster pace. An increase in revenues from the export of natural resources contributes to raising the equilibrium exchange rate, thus, limiting competitiveness of other commercial sectors. Purpose. To identify the causes and economic effects of the Dutch disease for Ukraine's economy and develop proposals to improve the country's export policy in the context of eliminating the negative effects caused by the fluctuations on the world markets of natural resources. Results. One of the key trends in Ukraine's economy development in recent years is the export oriented industries priority, mainly the primary ones. Steel production remains a major export industry of Ukraine. Export of steel and other ferrous metals constitutes approximately 30% of the total and is a major source of foreign currency supply. This raises the issue of evaluating the effectiveness of such a course. Raw materials orientation does not provide acceleration of scientific, technical and socio-economic development. Conclusion. The problem of the Dutch disease (i.e. an almost complete lack of competitive products on the world markets of manufactured goods) is particularly acute for Ukraine, and without having provided its solution it is difficult to expect a rapid and sustainable economic growth in the long run. In such circumstances, it is necessary to pursue the public policies aimed at redistribution of income from the raw materials exports to reinvestment in the manufacturing industry, as well as increase innovation funding, primarily in pure science and innovation focused enterprises. Introduction. Globalization as an objective process touches all spheres of life of the world community.One of its manifestations is technological globalization (technoglobalizm), which finds its expression in the growing internationalization of technology transfer, international technological cooperation, and global exploitation of technology. The aim of the research is an analysis of the newest trends in the world technological and innovative evolution and, on this basis, determination of new vectors of technoglobalizm, selection of major regions of the R&D concentration in the global economy and revealing their characteristics. Results. In the world market of innovations there have occurred some changes that consist, first of all, in the reduction of the role of the USA and other G-7 countries as major leaders in R&D spending and an increase of the role of BRICK countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Korea - according to the latest research of Intellectual Property & Science Department of Thomson Reuters Corporation) in financing scientific and technical developments, as well as some other developing countries. Five major centres of R&D concentration and development, namely the USA, the European Union member states, Japan, and a group of developing countries China,India,South Korea (in Asia-Pacific region) and Brazil and Mexico (on the American continent) are being formed. It is possible to predict that in the near future they can come out on top by the volume of R&D investment. In conclusion, technological globalization has led the to the formation of major centres of R&D concentration - namely the United States, the European Union, Japan, and a group of developing countries, BRICK countries in particular. Leader countries are gradually losing their positions, and against this background one can observe the growth of highly competitive economies in the newly industrialized countries.
