Hayvan davranışlarının izlenip, yorumlanarak faydalı bilgiler haline getirilmesi son yıllarda önem kazanan konulardan birisi olmuştur. Makine öğrenmesi ve derin öğrenme algoritmaları gibi yazılımsal gelişmeler, görüntüleme cihazları ve elde edilen görüntülerin işlenmesine imkân tanıyan donanımsal gelişmeler, hayvan davranışlarının izlenmesine altyapı oluşturmaktadır. Özellikle insanlarla sesli veya fiziki etkileşim yeteneği bulunmayan balıkların yaşam alanlarında temassız ve tahribatsız izlenmesi, bu teknolojiler sayesinde mümkün olabilmektedir. Alternatif türlerin yoğun akuakültüre kazandırılmasında karşılaşılan problemlerin başında canlının biyotik ve abiyotik gereksinimlerinin bilinmemesi gelmektedir. Bu çalışmada görüntü işleme yöntemleri ile balıkların günlük yaşamları, bakımları, beslenmeleri, bazı deneysel işlemlerin yapılması, bireysel veya sürü hareketleri, bu hareketlerin izlenmesi için oluşturulmuş donanımsal ve yazılımsal düzenekler ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalar hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Ayrıca, düzeneklerde kullanılan balıklar ve deney prosedürleri, elde edilen görüntülerin işlenme yöntemleri, kullanılan istatistiksel yöntemler ve sonuçlarda ele alınmıştır. Bu makalede, su ürünleri yetiştiriciliği sektörü için kullanılabilecek görüntü işleme alanındaki çalışmalar incelenip sunulmuştur. Observing and interpreting animal behaviors and turning them into useful information has become an issue that has gained importance in recent years. Software developments such as machine learning and deep learning algorithms, imaging devices, and hardware developments allow the processing of obtained images from the infrastructure for monitoring animal behavior. Thanks to these technologies, non-contact and non-destructive detection of fish, which cannot interact with people verbally or physically, in their habitats is possible. One of the problems encountered in introducing alternative species into intensive aquaculture is the lack of knowledge of the biotic and abiotic requirements of the living thing. This study gives information about the image processing methods, the daily life of fish, their care, feeding, some experimental procedures, individual or swarm movements, and the hardware and software mechanisms created to monitor these movements. In addition, the fish used in the setups and the experimental procedures, the processing methods of the images obtained, the statistical techniques used, and the results are discussed. Bu çalışmada, Japon balığı (Carassius auratus L. 1758)’nın büyüme, yem değerlendirme ve gonadların gelişimi üzerine çakşır otu (Ferula elaeochytris K. 1947) kökü tozunun etkileri araştırılmıştır. Ham protein (%36), ham yağ (%8) ve enerji (3650 kcal/kg sindirilebilir enerji) değerleri eşit olacak şekilde 4 farklı deneme yemi hazırlanmıştır. Hazırlanan yemlere çakşır otu (Ferula elaeochytris) kökü tozu 0 (Kontrol), 1, 5 ve 10 g kg-1 oranında ilave edilmiştir. Deneme, her grupta 30 balık olacak şekilde 2 tekerrürlü tesadüf parselleri deneme desenine göre planlanarak 105 lt’lik akvaryumlarda 84 gün süre ile yürütülmüştür. Başlangıç ağırlıkları 7.55± 0.02 g ve boyları 7.51±0.130 cm olan japon balıkları, günde 2 kez doyuncaya kadar beslenmiştir. Deneme yeminin canlı ağırlık artışı, boyca büyüme, kondüsyon faktörü, ortalama canlı ağırlık artışı, yüzde canlı ağırlık artışı, spesifik büyüme oranı, yem değerlendirme oranı, hepatosomatik indeks, visserosomatik indeks ve gonadosomatik indeks bakımından gruplar arasında istatistiki olarak önemli bir farklılık bulunmamıştır (P>0.05). The purpose of this study is to determine both clinical and histopathological changes in experimentally infected rainbow trout with Lactococcus garvieae. Fourty healthy fish samples (50-60 g in weight) were purchased from a commercial farm near Antalya, Turkey and transferred to the laboratory. Each group of fish were challenged a cell density of 6x105 cfu/ml of L. garvieae isolate. The control group was given with the appropriate dilution of the sterile PBS. Fish showed darkening of skin color, lesion on the upper jaw and prolapsus. Internally, they had pale liver and kidney, enlarged spleen and hemorrhagies on the muscle. The control group did not show clinical sings. Histopathologically, the kidney and liver showed haemosiderin deposits. Lamellar fusion and hyperplasia of primary lamellae in the gills, depletions of red and white pulpas in the spleen and necrosis of the gastro-intestinal tract were detected.

Bu calismada Liagora ceranoides (Rhodophyta), Halopteris scoparia (Ocrophyta), Padina pavonica (Ocrophyta) ve Sargassum vulgare (Ocrophyta) alglerinin etanol ve metanol ekstraktlarinin hasta gokkusagi alabaligi ( Oncorhynhus mykiss )’ndan izole edilen Yersinia ruckeri suslari uzerine antibakteriyel aktiviteleri degerlendirilmistir. Ayrica, suslarin cesitli antibiyotiklere duyarliliklari da calisilmistir. Baliklardan izole edilen suslar fenotipik testler, API 20E hizli tani kiti ve PZR sonuclarina gore Yersinia ruckeri olarak tanimlanmistir. Calismada L . ceranoides , H . scoparia , P . pavonica ve S . vulgare makroalglerinin metanol ekstraktlarinin Y . ruckeri ’ye karsi antibakteriyel etki gostermedigi bulunmustur. P . pavonica ’nin etanol ekstrakti Y . ruckeri ’ye karsi dusuk antibakteriyel aktivite gostermistir. L . ceranoides , H . scoparia ve S . vulgare makroalglerinin etanol ekstraktlarinin bakteriye karsi antibakteriyel aktivite gostermedigi tespit edilmistir. Antibiyogram test sonuclarina gore suslarin ampisilin, flumekuin, oksitetrasiklin ve trimetoprime duyarli olduklari bulunmustur. Suslar eritromisine karsi orta derecede direnc gostermistir. Sonuc olarak, alglerin antibakteriyel aktiviteye sahip olduklarinin bildirilmesine karsin her alg turunun antibakteriyel aktivite gosteremeyecegi anlasilmistir.

On December 1st 2011, five specimens of the broadbanded cardinalfish Apogon fasciatus (White, 1790) were captured from the Gulf of Antalya. This observation documents the westward expansion of this alien species along the Turkish coasts.

The Collective Article 'New Mediterranean Biodiversity Records' of the Mediterranean Marine Science journal offers the means to publish biodiversity records in the Mediterranean Sea. The current article is divided in two parts, for records of alien and native species respectively. The new records of alien species include: the red alga Asparagopsis taxiformis (Crete and Lakonikos Gulf, Greece); the red alga Grateloupia turuturu (along the Israeli Mediterranean shore); the mantis shrimp Clorida albolitura (Gulf of Antalya, Turkey); the mud crab Dyspanopeus sayi (Mar Piccolo of Taranto, Ionian Sea); the blue crab Callinectes sapidus (Chios Island, Greece); the isopod Paracerceis sculpta (northern Aegean Sea, Greece); the sea urchin Diadema setosum (Gökova Bay, Turkey); the molluscs Smaragdia souverbiana, Murex forskoehlii, Fusinus verrucosus, Circenita callipyga, and Aplysia dactylomela (Syria); the cephalaspidean mollusc Haminoea cyanomarginata (Baia di Puolo, Massa Lubrense, Campania, southern Italy); the topmouth gudgeon Pseudorasbora parva (Civitavecchia, Tyrrhenian Sea); the fangtooth moray Enchelycore anatina (Plemmirio marine reserve, Sicily); the silver-cheeked toadfish Lagocephalus sceleratus (Saros Bay, Turkey; and Ibiza channel, Spain); the Indo-Pacific ascidian Herdmania momus in Kastelorizo Island (Greece); and the foraminiferal Clavulina multicamerata (Saronikos Gulf, Greece). The record of L. sceleratus in Spain consists the deepest (350-400m depth) record of the species in the Mediterranean Sea. The new records of native species include: first record of the ctenophore Cestum veneris in Turkish marine waters; the presence of Holothuria tubulosa and Holothuria polii in the Bay of Igoumenitsa (Greece); the first recorded sighting of the bull ray Pteromylaeus bovinus in Maltese waters; and a new record of the fish Lobotes surinamensis from Maliakos Gulf., peer-reviewed
