Abstract

The goal of this project is to conduct a systematic review of the ethical and regulatory challenges associated with the use of eye-tracking technology for research purposes in real-world healthcare settings. Specifically, we aim to identify and analyze the ethical and regulatory considerations that arise when using eye-tracking technology to measure attention in patients, families, and health professionals in clinical environments. By establishing ethical principles for eye-tracking research protocols, results from this review will promote their acceptance by ethics committees and encourage its use in research on attention in healthcare settings.
