This research paper attempts at studying the operation of literary texts teaching through Black English Vernacular (BEV) in EFL context, selecting the American novel: "Uncle Tom's Cabin," henceforth (UTC), (1852) by Harriet Beecher Stowe (1811-1896) as a parameter of research. Its main aim is to reveal and project the new venues for teaching literary texts through BEV in EFL classroom. The choice of this novel constitutes a luxuriant source of investigation. Additionally, it is abundant with various cultural elements used by its characters. The significance of the study relies on the examination and analysis of lexical items regarding the role of literature in the EFL context between the past and the present time. Also, with the difficulties of using literary texts as language tools in the EFL educational milieu. After implementing a stylistic analytical method on the selected novel, the results of the study end up by the selection of certain lexical entries from Black English that can be used as a reference in the teaching of literature in EFL contexts.

This research paper attempts to examine the impact of education on language use, i.e., highlighting the sociolinguistic variable, mainly that of education and age, and how it may affect the linguistic behavior in the Arabic Nedroma speech community as a sample population. Nedromi speakers, especially the new generation, tend to correct mistakes; they look at them as stigmatized features in their speech and thus, try to shift to Modern Standard Arabic (MSA). In this regard, the researcher attemps to determine the reasons behind such a change in linguistic behaviors essentially motivated by the influence of education. Methodological triangulation was used in this study. Data were collected through observation, questionnaire, and interview. Based on both quantitative and qualitative methods, the findings reveal that the choice of specific linguistic features by the individual is determined by the speaker's age category, his level of education, and most importantly, his attitude towards specific linguistic characteristics. The main interest of this research paper attempts at basically investigating the use of Black English Vernacular (BEV) through Harriet Beecher Stowe's (1811-1896) Uncle Tom's Cabin, henceforth (UTC), (1852) is selected as a corpus of study. This novel constitutes a productive, rich and interesting reference to deal with the necessary and targeted sociolinguistic elements displayed by the different chosen characters. Thus, the focus is purposefully directed towards the linguistic and sociolinguistic concern. In this sense, the data gathered from this novel has been analyzed and interpreted in order to provide and reflect a vivid image of the novels' fictional characters with a purpose to enhance dialect awareness among readers of literary dialect.
