1. PF-FEDG: An open-source data generator for frequency disturbance event detection with deep-learning reference classifiers

Abstract: Accurate and fast classification of FDEs is crucial to power systems situation awareness and stability control. However, various database used in recent studies makes it hard to directly compare different classification methods. To relieve the lack of a standardized database that can be used as a benchmark, this work proposes an open-source package which generates frequency events based on PowerFactory named PF-FEDG. PF-FEDG can produce various labeled FDEs with random parameters such as generator trips, load disconnections, line outages, frequency ramp ups, frequency ramp downs, and frequency oscillations. Furthermore, the package includes three reference FDEs classifiers based on deep learning techniques. These models are tested on the IEEE 39-bus system and IEEE 118-bus system and achieve high performance. The package generating capability and the reference classifiers can be used by the community as benchmarks for comparison and development of new algorithms for FDEs detection. The code of PF-FEDG is available on GitLab.

2. Recent activities for the dust storm studies in Central Asia

Abstract: This paper provides an overview of state-of-the-art technologies used to detect and predict sand and dust storms (SDS). SDS events typically occur when strong winds transport dry sand and dust particles from the ground. Several technologies have been developed to detect and predict SDS, with the goal of mitigating their impact on the natural environment and human well-being. Space-based monitoring relies on satellite remote sensing technologies. Satellite instruments have the advantage of providing rapid, largescale, and accurate data on surface and atmospheric resources and properties within a few days. An important resource for atmospheric research is reanalysis data, which provides long-term data sets that include a wide range of variables. Numerical modelling is a key tool for monitoring the sources of dust storms and studying the trajectories of dust aerosols.

3. Comparative analysis of PM10 concentrations in Nukus and Tashkent, Uzbekistan: Ground observations, CAMS, and MERRA-2 reanalysis

Abstract: This study examines the PM10 concentration in Nukus and Tashkent, Uzbekistan during 2014– 2015 using ground data, CAMS, and MERRA-2 reanalysis. The results show that Nukus has more than twice the average PM10 concentration compared to Tashkent. CAMS better reproduces the observed concentrations, while MERRA-2 overestimates them, especially in winter. CAMS is also superior in capturing medium-term (7–10 days) PM10 peaks. A case study of a dust storm in May 2018 illustrates the ability of CAMS to estimate PM10 spatial distribution, dust dispersion dynamics, and meteorological factors. Therefore, CAMS is the preferred choice for PM10 analysis in areas without ground data in Uzbekistan.

4. Data-driven model for real-time evaluating capacity of commercial buildings to participate in the demand response

Abstract: The collective building stock is a major energy consumer, driving political discussions and forcing building owners to seek out cost-effective technologies. This creates a business opportunity in demand response (DR) services for commercial real estate. Despite recent efforts, developing a simple, scalable model remains an open question. We develop a real-time method for estimating electricity consumption profiles and inertia, enabling a bidding strategy on the DR market without compromising indoor climate. Accurate prediction of temperature changes is achieved through efficient models validated with real data.

6. Leveraging Bitcoin Mining Machines in Demand-Response Mechanisms to Mitigate Ramping-Induced Transients

Abstract: We propose an extended demand response program, based on ancillary service for supplying flexible electricity demand. In our proposed scheme, we suggest a broader management model to control the scheduling and power consumption of Bitcoin mining machines. The main aspect that we focus on is suppressing the power ramping and related transient effects. We extend previous works on the subject, that study the impact of incorporating cryptocurrency mining machines into existing power grid, and explore the potential profit of exploiting this flexible load in the Israeli electricity market. We analyze a trend based on historical data, of increasing electricity prices and ramping costs due to the increasing penetration of renewable energy sources. We suggest an extension to the unit commitment problem from which we obtain the scheduling scheme of the Bitcoin mining machines. We use simulation and the real-world data acquired from the "Noga" grid operator to verify the proposed ancillary service and test its practical limits for reducing the ramping costs, under changing ratio of energy production from renewable sources. Out results suggests that the machine price and ratio of production from renewable sources plays a significant role in determining the profitability of the proposed demand-response program., Comment: 8 pages, 7 figures

Abstract: High-momentum two-particle correlations are a useful tool for studying jet-quenching effects in the quark-gluon plasma. Angular correlations between neutral-pion triggers and charged hadrons with transverse momenta in the range 4--12~GeV/$c$ and 0.5--7~GeV/$c$, respectively, have been measured by the PHENIX experiment in 2014 for Au$+$Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}=200$~GeV. Suppression is observed in the yield of high-momentum jet fragments opposite the trigger particle, which indicates jet suppression stemming from in-medium partonic energy loss, while enhancement is observed for low-momentum particles. The ratio and differences between the yield in Au$+$Au collisions and $p$$+$$p$ collisions, $I_{AA}$ and $\Delta_{AA}$, as a function of the trigger-hadron azimuthal separation, $\Delta\phi$, are measured for the first time at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. 8. Two-dimensional mathematical modeling of 2013 and 2020 Amur River floods

Abstract: Predicting river flooding of the territory where people live and engage in economic activities is urgent. The most problematic area in the Russian Far East is the territory through which the Amur River and its tributaries flow. The article considers the calculations of two Amur River floods: 2013 – catastrophic flood and 2020 – low flood. The simulation was carried out using a system of two-dimensional Saint-Venant equations using the Stream 2D CUDA program. The solution of the system of equations by numerical methods is based on the original author’s methodology. Channel depth maps and WordDEMTM (Airbus Defense and Space, Intelligence) data at 24 m resolution were used as a digital elevation model. Calculations of river floods in 2013 and 2020 were performed on a built-in and calibrated mathematical model, which matches the observational data well.

Abstract: The issue of the quality of education has been and remains relevant. However, it acquired particular urgency in connection with the modernization and improvement of higher professional education, especially in terms of optimizing the training of doctors. This is due to the fact that the medical service is one of the most important links that ensure the timely detection of diseases, prevention and treatment of citizens of our country. An extremely important aspect of training is the final result of the acquisition by each student of the knowledge, skills and abilities that will allow him, after graduation, to work in primary health care institutions. Medical education cannot be of poor quality, because it is directly proportional to the value of human life. But, over time, the problem of professionalism in modern medicine has not yet been exhausted, because the training of a future specialist should be based primarily on obtaining theoretical knowledge and mastering skills even before the graduation stage of training. The purpose of the work was to analyze the aggregate components of high-quality medical education and select directions for further optimization of the educational process at the pre-graduation stage in Ukraine. In modern medical education in Ukraine, the orientation and direction of educational activities to enter the European educational space is clearly defined. One of the important criteria of modern medical education is the constant training of specialists throughout life and motivated involvement in self-education. The professional training of the future doctor is based on deep theoretical knowledge, perfect manual skills, formation of clinical thinking. In addition, the future physician must be prepared to systematically process a significant flow of information, to integrate knowledge from new disciplines. Due to the different level of motivation and theoretical knowledge of students there is a need for a differential approach to the choice of teaching methods at the university. Changing and modernizing the system of higher education requires the introduction of modern teaching of subjects, as well as the involvement of the latest interactive methods of teaching material, dissemination of forms and methods of the educational process, which, of course, should lead to a qualitative change in the pedagogical process. In our opinion, the involvement of teachers in the pedagogical arsenal of effective teaching methods should provide highquality training for future physicians. There is no doubt about the need to use modern educational techniques, using computer technology.

Abstract: The article is aimed at defining the influence of marketing on the formation of the company’s competitiveness at the current stage of development of the world economy. Attention is paid to the theoretical aspects of the company’s competitiveness. After studying the work of many domestic and foreign scholars on the competition and competitiveness of enterprise, the authors concluded that there is no consensus on the interpretation of the terms of «competitiveness of enterprise» and «competitive advantage», therefore, this article presents their own vision of the definition of these economic categories, the main factors of influence on them are systematized. In the course of research, the asymmetry between the growth rate of the world GDP and consumption is identified, which leads to increased competition for the end consumer, which is forced to unfold mainly in the plane of marketing. The article identifies the increasing role of Internet marketing in shaping the competitiveness of enterprise, which is caused by the rapid growth of Internet users and the abandonment of consumers from traditional media in favor of social networks and Internet resources. The problem of high costs to attract a new client has been indicated and a conclusion has been drawn that in the face of fierce competition companies urgently need to focus on building long-term relationships with their customers.

Abstract: This Letter presents the most precise measurement to date of the matter-antimatter imbalance at midrapidity in Pb-Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV. Using the Statistical Hadronization framework, it is possible to obtain the value of the electric charge and baryon chemical potentials, μ_{Q}=-0.18±0.90 MeV and μ_{B}=0.71±0.45 MeV, with unprecedented precision. A centrality-differential study of the antiparticle-to-particle yield ratios of charged pions, protons, Ω baryons, and light (hyper)nuclei is performed. These results indicate that the system created in Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC is on average baryon-free and electrically neutral at midrapidity.

12. Paths to Robust Exoplanet Science Yield Margin for the Habitable Worlds Observatory

Abstract: The Habitable Worlds Observatory (HWO) will seek to detect and characterize potentially Earth-like planets around other stars. To ensure that the mission achieves the Astro2020 Decadal's recommended goal of 25 exoEarth candidates (EECs), we must take into account the probabilistic nature of exoplanet detections and provide "science margin" to budget for astrophysical uncertainties with a reasonable level of confidence. In this study, we explore the probabilistic distributions of yields to be expected from a blind exoEarth survey conducted by such a mission. We identify and estimate the impact of all major known sources of astrophysical uncertainty on the exoEarth candidate yield. As expected, eta_Earth uncertainties dominate the uncertainty in EEC yield, but we show that sampling uncertainties inherent to a blind survey are another important source of uncertainty that should be budgeted for during mission design. We adopt the Large UV/Optical/IR Surveyor Design B (LUVOIR-B) as a baseline and modify the telescope diameter to estimate the science margin provided by a larger telescope. We then depart from the LUVOIR-B baseline design and identify six possible design changes that, when compiled, provide large gains in exoEarth candidate yield and more than an order of magnitude reduction in exposure times for the highest priority targets. Abstract: The current standard model of cosmology successfully describes a variety of measurements, but the nature of its main ingredients, dark matter and dark energy, remains unknown. Euclid is a medium-class mission in the Cosmic Vision 2015-2025 programme of the European Space Agency (ESA) that will provide high-resolution optical imaging, as well as near-infrared imaging and spectroscopy, over about 14,000 deg^2 of extragalactic sky. In addition to accurate weak lensing and clustering measurements that probe structure formation over half of the age of the Universe, its primary probes for cosmology, these exquisite data will enable a wide range of science. This paper provides a high-level overview of the mission, summarising the survey characteristics, the various data-processing steps, and data products. Abstract: We summarize the current best polychromatic (10 to 20 % bandwidth) contrast performance demonstrated in the laboratory by different starlight suppression approaches and systems designed to directly characterize exoplanets around nearby stars. We present results obtained by internal coronagraph and external starshade experimental testbeds using entrance apertures equivalent to off-axis or on-axis telescopes, either monolithic or segmented. For a given angular separation and spectral bandwidth, the performance of each starlight suppression system is characterized by the values of raw contrast (before image processing), off-axis (exoplanet) core throughput, and post-calibration contrast (the final 1 sigma detection limit of off-axis point sources, after image processing). To place the current laboratory results in the perspective of the future Habitable Worlds Observatory (HWO) mission, we simulate visible observations of a fiducial Earth/Sun twin system at 12 pc, assuming a 6m (inscribed diameter) collecting aperture and a realistic end-to-end optical throughput. The exposure times required for broadband exoearth detection (20% bandwidth around a wavelength of 0.55 microns) and visible spectroscopic observations (R=70) are then computed assuming various levels of starlight suppression performance, including the values currently demonstrated in the laboratory. Using spectroscopic exposure time as a simple metric, our results point to key starlight suppression system design performance improvements and trades to be conducted in support of HWO exoplanet science capabilities. Abstract: With the change of the curriculum, when independent work is brought to the fore, teaching methods should encourage students to self-study and improvement, especially in clinical departments, in particular, in the study of dental disciplines. Variants of such methods are interactive illumination of the material, remote presentation of subjects, case methods, brainstorming and etc. Among traditional teaching methods, lectures take precedence over practical training and seminar classes, because during reading, information is exchanged with a large number of students, and therefore this form of teaching material can be effective for transmitting factual information. At the same time, when reading a traditional lecture, students perceive the material by focusing on the constant attention to the lecturer and the means of illuminating the lecture. It was for this purpose that we evaluated the effectiveness of using an interactive lecture as a method of motivating students to learn based on communicative competence compared to a traditional lecture. The analysis of the teaching of the interactive lecture was performed step by step. Only 48 % of students rated the effectiveness and positivity of a traditional lecture. While more than half of the students were committed to the interactive form of the lecture. Students emphasized that this form of lecture could be an effective learning mechanism because it activates them both at the stage of preparation for the lecture and as part of reading it. Unlike the traditional interactive one, minimizes the lecturer’s monologue, gives preference to the lecturer’s dialogue with students, during which they gradually acquire the necessary knowledge. The interactive lecture is not only informative but mostly problematic and searchable.

Abstract: Subject of Research.The paper describes the research results of an acoustic signal recorded by a hydrophone while effect on a liquid by microsecond pulses of laser radiation with a wavelength of 1.54 μm and different time substructure. We discuss the influence of energy and time substructure of the laser pulse on the magnitude of generated pressure drops in the liquid and removal efficiency of cataract eye lens tissues. Method. Microsecond pulses of ytterbium-erbium glass laser radiation with different peak power of the "leading" spike and equivalent energy were delivered to the volume of distilled water through an optical fiber. The acoustic signal was registered with "NP 10-1" needle hydrophone (Dapco Inc., USA). An in vitro hydroacoustic treatment of cataract human eye lens was performed. Main Results. We obtained the dependences of the amplitude of the first (thermo-optical) and the second (associated with "collapse-rebound" process of a steam-gas cavity) components of the acoustic signal on the pulse energy for laser pulses with different time substructures. It was established that with an increase in the peak power of the "leading" spike of microsecond pulse, the threshold for the appearance of the second component decreases, and the maximum amplitude of both components increases. The angular distributions of the amplitude of acoustic signal components were obtained. It was found that the first component has a pronounced maximum amplitude in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis of the fiber, whereas the angular distribution of the second component is more uniform. In the in vitro experiment, it was shown that an increase in the peak power of the "leading" spike results in a significant increase in the removed volume and removal efficiency of the human cataract eye lens. Practical Relevance. The obtained results can be used to optimize the parameters of laser radiation for processing of tissue surrounded by a liquid, for example, during laser cataract extraction.

Abstract: Subject of Research. The paper presents the study of the oral mucosa reaction of experimental animals to fractional laser treatment by diode laser radiation with a wavelength of 980 nm.Methods. A single fractional laser treatment of oral mucosa was carried out in the experiment on Wistar laboratory rats at different exposure regimes: combinations of laser power from the range Р = 5-15 W, pulsewidth tp = 100-120 ms and the filling factor. The animals were taken out of the experiment immediately after exposure, on the 5th, 7th and 28th day after the treatment. For histological evaluation mucosal preparations were stained with hematoxylin and eosin, as well as aniline blue according to Masson. Thickness of mucosa layers and concentration of collagen fibers were defined as a result of computer processing of images of histological samples. Main Results. It was established that the mucous condition depends significantly on the laser treatment regime and the time elapsed since the fractional treatment. When exposed to pulsed laser radiation with P = 5 W, tp = 100 msor P = 7 W, tp = 120 ms,at the filling factor F = 200±50 microdamages/cm2 the mucous regeneration has been completed on the 28th day after treatment, and for the other studied regimes it continues. After regeneration the thickness of the epithelial layer of the oral mucosa is less, and the thickness of the submucosal layer with lamina propria of mucosaand concentration of collagen fibers in the mucosa correspond to control. Practical Relevance. The obtained results are promising for further research on the reconstruction of thinning oral mucosa.

Abstract: High shares of variable renewable energy necessitate substantial energy storage capacity. However, it remains unclear how to design a market that, on the one hand, ensures a stable and sufficient income for storage firms, and, on the other hand, maintains stable and affordable electricity costs for the consumers. Here, we use a game theoretic model to study storage competition in wholesale electricity markets. A main result is that these types of games are not necessarily stable. In particular, we find that under certain conditions, which imply a combination of a high share of variable renewable energy sources and low flexibility of conventional power plants, the system will not converge to an equilibrium. However, we demonstrate that a price cap on storage price bids can ensure convergence to a stable solution. Moreover, we find that when the flexibility of conventional power plants is low, while the storage usage for energy balancing increases with renewable energy generation, the profitability of using storage for the sole purpose of energy arbitrage decreases.

Abstract: The detection and characterization of Earth-like exoplanets around Sun-like stars is a primary science motivation for the Habitable Worlds Observatory. However, the current best technology is not yet advanced enough to reach the 10^-10 contrasts at close angular separations and at the same time remain insensitive to low-order aberrations, as would be required to achieve high-contrast imaging of exo-Earths. Photonic technologies could fill this gap, potentially doubling exo-Earth yield. We review current work on photonic coronagraphs and investigate the potential of hybridized designs which combine both classical coronagraph designs and photonic technologies into a single optical system. We present two possible systems. First, a hybrid solution which splits the field of view spatially such that the photonics handle light within the inner working angle and a conventional coronagraph that suppresses starlight outside it. Second, a hybrid solution where the conventional coronagraph and photonics operate in series, complementing each other and thereby loosening requirements on each subsystem. There is a well-known tendency of steel 316L to precipitate second phases in the temperature range of 500 ... 800 ° С. 28. Microflora of the polar bear (Ursus maritimus) from natural population of the Russian Arctic

Abstract: The paper presents the results of studying the microflora of the polar bear (Ursus maritimus) organism. Samples from 22 individuals were collected during three comprehensive scientific expeditions arranged in 2014 and 2015 at the request of PJSC Rosneft Oil Company. Based on the results of laboratory processing of the samples obtained, for the first time in the Russian history of studying the species, the species and quantitative composition of microorganisms in the oral cavity and conjunctiva of the polar bear’s eye was assessed. From the mucous membrane materials of the studied polar bear individuals, 91 isolates of microorganisms were obtained and identified up to 23 genera and species. These microorganisms were represented by both bacteria and microscopic fungi. Pathogenicity factors of the isolated microflora were determined: hemolytic properties, presence of plasma coagulase and lecithinase enzymes, virulence. The antibiotic resistance of the isolated microflora was assessed. The data obtained in the course of microbiological studies will not only help to determine the health status of the studied animals but can also be used in the future as one of the components of a comprehensive monitoring of the state of Arctic marine ecosystems.

Abstract: The company group of the PJSC “ROSSETI” pays great attention to reducing occupational hazard at the facilities of the power grid complex. The analysis of the accidents in the branch of PJSC “IGDC of the Center”– “Orelenergo” revealed that transformer housings installed at the mast-type transformer substations 6-10 / 0.4 kV can’t fully provide the required safety level as they can be slightly raised even without using a special tool, and therefore one can stick his hands or some objects to the current-carrying parts of the transformer substation. According to the statistics of the damages at the mast-type transformer substations 6-10 / 0.4 kV various small animals and birds can enter the electrical installation through small slits between the housing and the transformer, which will lead to different emergency situations. To prevent the aforementioned negative consequences, a universal transformer housing was developed for a mast-type unit transformer substation (UTS) 6-10 / 0.4 kV. The offered design of the housing is universal, since it can be used for the transformers of various capacities; for its manufacture tools and materials with different characteristics can be used. At the same time, the installation of the developed housing will allow power grid companies to reduce occupational hazard, reduce the undersupply of electricity and increase the reliability of power supply to the agricultural consumers. The technical solution presented in the article can be applied for the mast-type UTS 6-10 / 0.4 kV in the post-Soviet countries.

Abstract: Correlations in azimuthal angle extending over a long range in pseudorapidity between particles, usually called the “ridge” phenomenon, were discovered in heavy-ion collisions, and later found in pp and p–Pb collisions. In large systems, they are thought to arise from the expansion (collective flow) of the produced particles. Extending these measurements over a wider range in pseudorapidity and final-state particle multiplicity is important to understand better the origin of these long-range correlations in small collision systems. In this Letter, measurements of the long-range correlations in p–Pb collisions at sNN = 5.02 TeV are extended to a pseudorapidity gap of ∆η ~ 8 between particles using the ALICE forward multiplicity detectors. After suppressing non-flow correlations, e.g., from jet and resonance decays, the ridge structure is observed to persist up to a very large gap of ∆η ~ 8 for the first time in p–Pb collisions. This shows that the collective flow-like correlations extend over an extensive pseudorapidity range also in small collision systems such as p–Pb collisions. The pseudorapidity dependence of the second-order anisotropic flow coefficient, v2(η), is extracted from the long-range correlations. The v2(η) results are presented for a wide pseudorapidity range of –3.1 < η < 4.8 in various centrality classes in p–Pb collisions. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the source of anisotropic flow in small collision systems, the v2(η) measurements are compared with hydrodynamic and transport model calculations. The comparison suggests that the final-state interactions play a dominant role in developing the anisotropic flow in small collision systems.

Abstract: Long- and short-range correlations for pairs of charged particles are studied via two-particle angular correlations in pp collisions at s = 13 TeV and p–Pb collisions at sNN = 5.02 TeV. The correlation functions are measured as a function of relative azimuthal angle ∆φ and pseudorapidity separation ∆η for pairs of primary charged particles within the pseudorapidity interval |η| < 0.9 and the transverse-momentum interval 1 < pT< 4 GeV/c. Flow coefficients are extracted for the long-range correlations (1.6 < |∆η| < 1.8) in various high-multiplicity event classes using the low-multiplicity template fit method. The method is used to subtract the enhanced yield of away-side jet fragments in high-multiplicity events. These results show decreasing flow signals toward lower multiplicity events. Furthermore, the flow coefficients for events with hard probes, such as jets or leading particles, do not exhibit any significant changes compared to those obtained from high-multiplicity events without any specific event selection criteria. The results are compared with hydrodynamic-model calculations, and it is found that a better understanding of the initial conditions is necessary to describe the results, particularly for low-multiplicity events.

Abstract: Aim: to verify new techniques for human cadaveric vascular allografts cryopreservation, thawing and sterilization for the tissue engineering purposes. We use polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as a well-known, promising coolant. This allowed us to completely omit any cryoprotective or vitrifying solutions. Using of PDMS also makes possible an applying these allografts directly after freezing and decellularization and also it will also provide an opportunity to develop secure protocols of tissue— engineered vascular conduits cryopreservation. Matherial and methods. After mathematical modeling of cooling process and its validation the experiment for sealed (isolated) freezing at low temperature conditions of 30 femoral arterial segments has been conducted. The segments were at least 10 cm in length and taken from 15 cadaveric donors in the age of 65-85 years. The freezing process was carried out using the abovementioned coolant— PDMS, and then physico-mechanical properties of these allografts were evaluated with the special Instron machine. According to the results obtained, a modeling of their sterilization conditions was conducted (the grafts were freezed). Results. By physico-mechanical properties validation and restricted histological analysis it was shown that there was an accordance between freezed/thawed allografts properties and native vessels. Conclusion. The abovementioned approach for allografts cryopreservation and thawing was efficient enough for further work in this direction.

38. Identification of zones of influence of exogenous fire damaging factors

Abstract: In this work, topological configuration of dangerous zone in the mine ventilation network and concentrations of fire gases in it are estimated and identified at vent impacting on the emergency conditions. The obtained information on gas-dynamic state of the mine ventilation network at a current moment of time is used for undertaking primary measures according to the plan of accident response: emergency evacuation of people and actions of militarized mine-rescue services for eliminating emergency at its initial stage with taking into account changed emergency ventilation mode. The proposed method allows identifying an area in the mine contaminated by combustion products with taking into account time of its formation, changes in ventilation mode during the accident and possible air stream reversal in zones with descentional ventilation under the influence of the fire source depression and formation of zones with fire gas recirculation. With implementation of this method, it becomes possible to improve accuracy of detecting gassy zones in the ventilation network and effectiveness of emergency response.

Abstract: Modern highly mechanized and electrified agriculture places high demands on power supply reliability and uninterrupted work. To increase the reliability of power supply to agricultural consumers, in some cases, taking into account the configuration of electric distribution networks and the availability of responsible consumers, a conditionally closed ring network is created. Interruptions in power supply lead to downtime of agricultural production, a decrease in the volume of output, damage to the main technological equipment [1, 2]. In this regard, there is a need to make informed decisions on the choice of ways to increase the reliability of uninterrupted power supply due to the reservation of various elements of the power supply system, improving the organization of maintenance, and the operational diagnostics of faulty elements.

Abstract: Modeling of 2016 year flood, the largest flood of the 21st century for the chosen area, was carried out using two-dimensional hydrodynamic model STREAM_2D on the example of Velikiy Ustyug city, located at the confluence of the Sukhona and Yug Rivers. A highly detailed computational grid created in the AutoMesh-2D editor was used for simulations. Abstract: Efficiency improvement of modern production is associated with uninterrupted power supply to consumers. Power supply reliability to consumers is ensured by reliable operation of power lines. The number of outages depends on their condition and operation quality. An increase in the number of outages affects the further degradation of power line state, significantly reducing the resource of lines and equipment; and it takes a lot of time to find faults and eliminate them. Monitoring of power outages in overhead power lines will reduce the time of emergency elimination.1

Abstract: Circuit breakers with automatic transfer switches (ATS) are designed in such a way that when the voltage disappears during a short-circuit (SC) in the ring network line, the ATS device is triggered. At the same time, its switch is turned on at short-circuit, then it is turned off with acceleration. Even a shortterm switching on of the automatic transfer switch for a sustained short-circuit leads to emergency situations [1,2]. The electrical equipment of the ring network spare line is exposed to high emergency short-circuit currents, and the consumers powered by the spare transformer are turned off. It is possible to minimize and eliminate the damages caused by the above mentioned cases by inhibiting the switching on of the circuitbreaker of the automatic transfer switch.

Abstract: NASA is engaged in planning for a Habitable Worlds Observatory (HabWorlds), a coronagraphic space mission to detect rocky planets in habitable zones and establish their habitability. Surface liquid water is central to the definition of planetary habitability. Photometric and polarimetric phase curves of starlight reflected by an exoplanet can reveal ocean glint, rainbows and other phenomena caused by scattering by clouds or atmospheric gas. Direct imaging missions are optimised for planets near quadrature, but HabWorlds' coronagraph may obscure the phase angles where such optical features are strongest. The range of accessible phase angles for a given exoplanet will depend on the planet's orbital inclination and/or the coronagraph's inner working angle (IWA). We use a recently-created catalog relevant to HabWorlds of 164 stars to estimate the number of exo-Earths that could be searched for ocean glint, rainbows, and polarization effects due to Rayleigh scattering. We find that the polarimetric Rayleigh scattering peak is accessible in most of the exo-Earth planetary systems. The rainbow due to water clouds at phase angles of ${\sim}20-60^\circ$ would be accessible with HabWorlds for a planet with an Earth equivalent instellation in ${\sim}{46}$ systems, while the ocean glint signature at phase angles of ${\sim}130-170^\circ$ would be accessible in ${\sim}{16}$ systems, assuming an IWA${=}62$ mas ($3\lambda/D$). Improving the IWA${=}41$ mas ($2\lambda/D$) increases accessibility to rainbows and glints by factors of approximately 2 and 3, respectively. Abstract: Understanding the role of parton mass and Casimir color factors in the quantum chromodynamics parton shower represents an important step in characterizing the emission properties of heavy quarks. Recent experimental advances in jet substructure techniques have provided the opportunity to isolate and characterize gluon emissions from heavy quarks. In this Letter, the first direct experimental constraint on the charm-quark splitting function is presented, obtained via the measurement of the groomed shared momentum fraction of the first splitting in charm jets, tagged by a reconstructed D^{0} meson. Abstract: The correlations between different moments of two flow amplitudes, extracted with the recently developed asymmetric cumulants, are measured in Pb-Pb collisions at sNN=5.02TeV recorded by the ALICE detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. The magnitudes of the measured observables show a dependence on the different moments as well as on the collision centrality, indicating the presence of nonlinear response in all even moments up to the eighth. Furthermore, the higher-order asymmetric cumulants show different signatures than the symmetric and lower-order asymmetric cumulants. Comparisons with state-of-the-art event generators using two different parametrizations obtained from Bayesian optimization show differences between data and simulations in many of the studied observables, indicating a need for further tuning of the models behind those event generators. These results provide new and independent constraints on the initial conditions and transport properties of the system created in heavy-ion collisions.

Abstract: The first experimental information on the strong interaction between Λ and Ξ− strange baryons is presented in this Letter. The correlation function of Λ–Ξ− and Λ‾–Ξ‾+ pairs produced in high-multiplicity proton–proton (pp) collisions at s=13 TeV at the LHC is measured as a function of the relative momentum of the pair. The femtoscopy method is used to calculate the correlation function, which is then compared with theoretical expectations obtained using a meson exchange model, chiral effective field theory, and Lattice QCD calculations close to the physical point. Data support predictions of small scattering parameters while discarding versions with large ones, thus suggesting a weak Λ–Ξ− interaction. The limited statistical significance of the data does not yet allow one to constrain the effects of coupled channels like Σ–Ξ and N–Ω.

Abstract: Fluctuation measurements are important sources of information on the mechanism of particle production at LHC energies. This article reports the first experimental results on third-order cumulants of the net-proton distributions in Pb–Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy sNN=5.02 TeV recorded by the ALICE detector. The results on the second-order cumulants of net-proton distributions at sNN=2.76 and 5.02 TeV are also discussed in view of effects due to the global and local baryon number conservation. The results demonstrate the presence of long-range rapidity correlations between protons and antiprotons. Such correlations originate from the early phase of the collision. The experimental results are compared with HIJING and EPOS model calculations, and the dependence of the fluctuation measurements on the phase-space coverage is examined in the context of lattice quantum chromodynamics (LQCD) and hadron resonance gas (HRG) model estimations. The measured third-order cumulants are consistent with zero within experimental uncertainties of about 4% and are described well by LQCD and HRG predictions.
