text linguistics ,belarusian poetry ,r. borodulin ,intertextuality ,pretext ,Language and Literature - Abstract
The purpose of the article is to determine the specifi city of the organization of intertextual links of R. Borodulin’s lyrics as an idiostylistic feature, essential for the formation of the artistic content of his poems. The works included in R. Borodulin’s collections of diff erent times have been analyzed on the basis of the positions of the theory of intertextuality developed in text linguistics. The author comes to the conclusion that R. Borodulin’s lyrics are oriented to the folk element – folklore, the texts of which are most often referred to by intertextually marked elements. They can perform various functions, from the creation of a local image to the formation of compositional and / or fi gurative structure of the whole poem, but they are always related to the value orientations of the poet. The Bible and Belarusian literature (texts of predecessors and – to a greater extent – contemporaries) are in the second place in terms of the number of references among the sources of intertextuality. The connection with the biblical pretext is present at all stages of R. Borodulin’s work, but in the course of time such references become more refl ective and commented. Formally, intertextuality is represented by all possible structural types. Among the various forms of intertextuality proper in the works of R. Borodulin the most frequent are allusions. “Playing” upon the titles of collections and individual works of predecessors and contemporaries can be considered as a distinctive feature of R Borodulin’s lyrics. Meanwhile the title quotes do not require the reader to know the pretexts. Parody and elements of parody are widely presented in the collections (including genre parody which is associated with the actualization of “negative” architextual connections).

BELARUSIAN poetry ,HOPE in literature - Abstract
This article is devoted to the analysis of the motif of hope in the latest poetry of the Belarusian independent poet Dmitry Strotsev. The peaceful Belarusian revolution of 2020 became a source of inspiration for Strotsev and influenced the form and content of his latest works. The methodological basis of the research is focused on the observations on hope made by the French philosopher Gabriel Honoré Marcel in the essay Outline of the phenomenology and metaphysics of hope (1942), and by the priest Józef Tischner in the essay Binding of Hope (1973). In Strotsev's latest poetry, the theme of hope is combined with the heroic peaceful struggle for freedom undertaken by Belarusian society and is inscribed in an intertextual dialogue with the Bible. The poet presents a collective portrait of people filled with hope, which is an impulse for them to act. It shows society at the time of a test of enslavement. The answer to enslavement is opposition born of hope. The experience of heroism also flows from hope. Strotsev's works not only immortalize the people who fought for freedom, but also multiply the hope inherent in all those who take up a heroic fight against evil. Hope allows them to visualize the "fragility" and "impermanence" of evil. It is also a comfort to those who are suffering from loss. It also helps not to succumb to despair. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Discussing the issue of creating a universal museum, the author offers a classification in which book museums are divided into complex (universal, art and technical, historical and technical, historical and art) and specialized (technical, art and historical). According to this classification, the Museum of Belarusian Book Printing is regarded as a universal museum, the National Library of Belarus (NLB) Book Museum -- as a historical and art book museum, and Martinas Jankus Museum -- as a historical and technical book museum. At the NLB Bibliology Department, a collection of Belarusian editions dated to the end of the 19th -- beginning of the 20th century has been formed. It is partly exhibited at the Book Museum. We should mention books by Adam Mickiewicz, Jan Chechet, Jan Borschevsky and Vincent Dunin-Marcinkevich, lifetime editions of Belarusian writers -- the founders of modern Belarusian literature and literary language Yanka Kupala and Jakub Kolas, the first newspaper in the Belarusian language (illegal) "Muzhytskaya prauda", the first legal Belarusian newspapers "Nasha dolia" and "Nasha niva", the first textbooks in the Belarusian language, issued at the Publishing House "Zahllane sontsa i u nasha acontsa" in St. Petersburg, a collection of poems "Vianok" with Maxim Bogdanovich's autograph, and some other rare editions exhibited at the Book Museum. The article deals with the problem of artistic interaction between Ales Ryazanovs and Sigitas Geda's poetries. Using the method of comparative analysis we define analogies between the Byelorussian poet's works and works of the Lithuanian poet. The author of the article comes to the conclusion that the new-making genres such as "dotted lines" (пунктиры) are very similar with miniatures of Sigitas Geda. They have a lot of general in the structure (absence of rhyme, minimum form, monostrophe, several rhythmical groups, and causal-resulting syntax) and substance, poetic figures, refiection of the external world and multiplanned description. The main feature of both poets is the conceptual character of substance. Creating the artistic reality the authors resort to using such poetic figures as rhetorical questing, rhetorical address, epithet, comparison, metaphor, graphic breaking of the text into lines with apportionment in the separate line an accentual word. The author of the report "Special features of space organization in Byelorussian lyric poetry in 1960-70th (taking works of Aleksey Pisin as the example)" analyzes some characteristics of space in the lyrics of Byelorussian poet Aleksey Pisin. On this basis following conclusions about features of space organization in the national poetry of 1960-70th are made: the space in the works of the given period is open in a vertical direction; there is no steady vector in a vertical axis "bottom-top" (it means that the lyrical character is oriented both to sky and to the ground); spatial images of "bottom" and "top" approach with the purpose to show aspiration to harmony in the world; and finally mythological sacralization is also one of space characteristics. This review considers a joint work written by two scholars representing the Belarusian and Russian philological schools which studies issues of the theory and history of books of poetry. The subject of the study allows the authors to consider both elitist poetry and the phenomenon of mass poetry, combine the achievements of academic literary criticism with observations of literary criticism, analyse the tendencies characteristic of various aesthetic and artistic systems, and explore the dialectics of traditions and innovation. According to the book under review, a poetry book is an element of cultural space, and since it is part of the processes of directed institutionalisation, it is functionally addressed to both the author and the reader. The introductory chapter of the study is devoted to the theory of a poetry book as a complex super-genre unity. The three main chapters focus on the contemporary poetic situation. They consider the structural features of books of poetry, their role in their authors’ creative biographies, and describe a number of sociocultural functions, most particularly the formation of regional or generational identity, interethnic cooperation, and the coexistence of social analytics and individual mythmaking. Additionally, the authors also consider components included into poetry books from “non-books” and mass culture such as the Internet, CDs, and objects of social and pop art. The modern poetic situation in Russia and Belarus is defined as one full of artistic discoveries, as new sociocultural circumstances generate new poetic strategies, new genre formations, a transformation of the basic foundations of the rhythmic organisation of verses, and poetic vocabulary. The author concludes that the study of the peculiarities of modern Russian and Belarusian poetry in the dominant form of a poetry book substantially enriches knowledge of the basic tendencies of contemporary literature as a whole.,

The article presents a definition of term BYELORUSSIAN POETRY. BYELORUSSIAN POETRY expresses the spiritual richness and resilience of a small East Slav country set between Poland and Russia, formerly the westernmost republic of the USSR. The earliest examples of verse in B. belong to Frańcisk Skaryna (ca. 1485-ca. 1540), the Bible translator, publisher, and engraver, but he had no successors as a poet, and the panegyric genre of armorial epigrams which flourished at the end of the 16th c., particularly in the hands of Andrej Rymša, was a separate devel.

The article is devoted to the genre and visual features of Shakespeare’s sonnets and the specificity of their reproduction in the East Slavic poetry. Shakespeare’ssonnet cycle is one of the highest patterns of West European poetry of the XVI–XVII centuries.Shakespeare’s sonnets have been translated into many languages, including the East Slavic languages. However, they have not been compared in their genre and visual aspect yet. The article is based on the research carried out by G. Kochur, R. Nizhegorodtsev, as well as on the translations done by the Ukrainian, Belarusian and Russian translators. Having analyzed the chronology of the emergence of Shakespeare’s sonnets translation in Ukrainian, Belarusian and Russian literature, as well as having compared their variants, the author concludes that the translators did not do without giving their individual elements totheir translations of Shakespeare’s sonnets. The translations of Shakespeare’s sonnets into the East Slavic languagesare a bright page in the perception of classical heritage in a foreign language environment.
