An oncological diagnosis carries a weight that will inevitably diminish the quality of the patients' life. Despite that, some factors could be influenced, so that the overall outcome to be at least preserved, if not slightly enhanced. The oncological patients are of a great complexity when it comes to rehabilitation care, the reason being the fact that besides the malignancy, these patients also present a variety of other diseases, just like any other patient. Moreover, psychological involvement is incomparably more present and harder to deal with. Psychological status in oncological patients is influenced by the ability to internalize the diagnosis, associated comorbidities such as depression, anxiety, carious and pulmonary diseases or nutritional status and toxicology. Cost-effectiveness is a necessity to be proved for the rehabilitation programs to be actually included in the oncological patients' care throughout every stage of the disease, but despite the need, it still has to be furtherly analyzed for obtaining valid results. It is essential to acknowledge that cancer patients should not be denied therapeutic approaches that positively impact their overall condition and functionality. Rehabilitation strategies are instruments in supporting the patient's journey, helping them maintain or regain a sense of control, independence, and an improved overall quality of life. The general objective of the International Spinal Cord Injury Survey (InSCI) is to identify factors that explain the functioning and well-being of people living with SCI. Being a cohort study, these medical, social, economic components with impact on the evolution of the individual with spinal cord trauma in Romania will be treated in a descriptive and comparative manner, through the prism of the data obtained from the patients who were included in this research. The participants included in the study were a total of 216 aged between 16 and 75 admitted to the Băile-Felix Medical Rehabilitation Clinical Hospital, where they underwent a complex medical rehabilitation treatment specific to SCI. Participants with traumatic SCI feel more alive compared to non-traumatic participants (t(214)=3.820; p<.001) possibly due to etiological differences in SCI. Regarding psychomotor agitation, the registered coefficient (t(214)=2.076; p<.03) highlights the participants with traumatic SCI. Differences are recorded in the case of assistance from friends in traumatic versus non-traumatic SCI, which indicates the increased need for social support in traumatic SCI. We argue that a patient's worries and concerns about SCI and its consequences can affect overall health. From a psychological point of view, a limited knowledge of specialists regarding the behavior of patients and their inherent mnesic cutouts, more information can generate confusion and helplessness instead of generating mechanisms of change. Maintaining the health of the human body and increasing the quality of life have become central elements of interest in current research. Modern medicine emphasizes the fact that the health of the body and the increase in longevity are closely related to nutrition during the individual's life. Thus, the kombucha drink represents one of the functional foods extremely rich in active bio-compounds and microorganisms that have proven to be beneficial for health. In this review, the method of obtaining the drink, its composition, and the present compounds are described in an easy-tounderstand approach. The emphasis is on highlighting the multiple biological activities of this drink in distinct medical spheres, such as oxidative stress, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, dermatological diseases, antimicrobial anti-inflammatory capacity. Also described are the elements that make up this miraculous drink (substrate type, SCOBY, and added carbon source), respectively innovative elements from recent literature with reference to the replacement of the classic substrate. This paper aims to analyze the potentially increased cardiovascular risk factors after spinal cord injury (SCI). Taking into account the pathophysiological mechanism of SCI, clinical presentation, and short- and long-term effects, this paper evaluates the prevalence of cardiovascular disorders. Reduced physical activity, low HDL cholesterol, an increase in body fat percentage, poor glucose tolerance, insulin resistance, psychosocial factors, and the hypothesised impacts of SCI on emerging risk factors are all potential increased cardiovascular risk factors following SCI. Nutritional counselling and intervention are especially crucial because people with SCI frequently eat less than is ideal. Screening for risk factors and a worldwide assessment of the risk of coronary heart disease are the first steps in prevention. People with chronic SCI are more likely to have poor glucose tolerance, insulin resistance, and hyperinsulinemia, according to reports. Important therapies for these patients include weight management, dietary adjustments, exercise, and glycemic control. Years of life potentially lost refers to the number of years that a person, group ofpersons or a population lose in case of a premature death. Metabolic diseases are due to disorders in the metabolism of nutrients. The causality of these diseases can be endogenous (insufficient secretion of insulin), exogenous or mixed; hereditary factors may be involved. The work applies a methodology to calculate the years of life potentially lost in the Bihor County's population. Deaths caused by endocrine, nutrition and metabolic diseases were analyzed separately. There are limitations of the study, which are mentioned. The decreasing trend in the number ofpremature deaths from diseases of nutrition and metabolism in Bihor county may be due to better health services (increasing the number of specialists in diabetes, nutrition and metabolic diseases, improve the health infrastructure of the county and gratuity of the diabetic treatment), actually resulting in increasing the life duration and the death possible through complications. In Romania the sanitary system is far from being a very modern and performant one still, there are initiatives promoting measures of improving the actual condition of the national health level and we are going to focus on one of these solutions: permanent centers. The purpose of the paper is to demonstrate how important is to have a permanent center of healthcare where one can get specialised treatment and therapy until the ambulance can get to the patient and take it to the hospital. The first aid that can be received in such a permanent center turns out to be lifesaver in many cases, as we will demonstrate in the following. This remarkable initiative is a real progress for the romanian sanitary system and of course for Bihor county and we would like to emphasize how many successful cases were recorded in only one center of this kind. The statistics data indicate that coldness might have an influence upon the morbidity in cardiovascular diseases, the rate of these diseases seem to rise during winter. In this study, the authors have portrayed this reality by presenting a certain case. The subject is a woman of 29 years who passed away during winter, due to a cord malformation - ventricular septal defect. Electrocution caused by atmospheric electrical discharge, sometimes has lethal effects on the human body; the medico-legal autopsy is mandatory in this situations in order to establish the cause of death. The effects of the atmospheric electrical discharge on the human body can be: mechanical, caloric, biochemical and electrolytic. The purpose of this work is to underline the importance of medico-legal autopsy and also the importance of knowing the circumstance in which the cadaver was found, in the cases of death by electrocution. Material and method: this paper will present the case of a young person, female, deceased by electrocution caused by the atmospheric electrical discharge, while she was hiking through the woods in the Apuseni mountains. The investigation team present on the scene has requested the medico-legal autopsy. During the autopsy, the external examination of the victim's body revealed violent electrical mark type lesions, burns with multiple localizations(posterior cervical, anterior thorax, limbs), epidermolysis, skin hyperpigmentations, electrogenic edema. On the internal examination of the cadaver have been found signs of asphyxia, right lung rupture, heart structural modifications. The examinations of the clothes and footwear have shown numerous burns and tears. Conclusions: Investigation data, the examination on the scene, knowing accurately the weather conditions at the time of death, are elements extremely useful to establish with certainty the diagnostic of violent death by electrocution caused by atmospheric electrical discharge. The damage is not just skin up, it may be psychological one as victim brings her mind precisely the circumstances in which it was produced, which can affect a child's personality development. Scars on the face was found to have the greatest impact, both psychologically and socially. Often, form and where they are located topographically scars can give us information about when it produced about or who produced them, etc. From this point of view, the scars can help the us to identify a deceased person or a vineyard. If scars affect certain regions of the face, for example ocular region, the mouth, wrinkles, are more obvious because they are involved in the non-verbal part of the body than the linear products for example in the gentian. The main groups of people occupationally exposed to ionizing radiation are workers in the nuclear industry and medical professions. The Radiation Hygiene Laboratory of the Bihor Public Health Directorate, organized under the laws in force, supervises, monitors and evaluates the evidence of nuclear facilities and personnel exposed to ionizing radiation, health state, individual dose record, situations of overexposure. An increase of nuclear medical units was noticed together with the concomitant increase of professionally exposed people without a sufficient allotment of human resources in monitoring and evaluating risk factors. Some counties have occupational physicians authorized to monitor the health of occupationally exposed people to ionizing radiation. Although data from this study is not worrying, we consider we have to start a program of education of healthcare professionals and industry personnel in order to increase radiological safety knowing that it is easier to prevent than to treat. Introduction. The school furniture from Romanian schools, including those from Bihor district, is inadequate for both health and hygiene regarding the correlation between its scale and students' functional and morphological needs. It can determine posture defects in time, which are then clinically examined and dispensarizate. Materials and Method. The study was conducted in 954 schools in Bihor district, following the compliance of the school bank with the rules provided for the hygienic and sanitary legislation in force. The occurrence of faulty posture cases in school years 2008, 2009 and 2010 was calculated from the chronic disease data registry within offices and medical school practitioners. Results. In some schools, the rules providing school furniture within the legislation in force are not respected. It was found that there is an increase in the occurrence of defective posture cases. Discussion. School furniture used in some units with horizontal chair and table leaned to a 10° angle, introduced in 1884 by M. Staffel, was better adapted to the proper reading and writing position than today's furniture. The new school furniture which appeared in 1940, less higher and with a flat table, requires a flexion of the cervical spine for reading and writing, which explained the complaints of troubling back pain that appeared among children. There are discussions regarding the necessity of ergonomic school furniture that should include a mobile chair and leaned desk. Conclusion. Knowing the current inconveniences of school furniture and the increase of static disorders of the spine cases, the modification of the legislation is imposed, as is the placement of an ergonomic school desk suitable for every student in terms of height, anterior-posterior thoracic diameter and also the student's thigh length.
