Introduction: It is known that nursing education, attitudes towards the profession are questioned and perceptions and attitudes of the nursing profession are evaluated. It may also have an impact on the Covid-19 pandemic. Günümüzün önemli sorunlarından bir tanesi de, yer ve atmosfer kökenli doğa olaylarının meydana getirdiği hortumlardır. Hortumlar özellikle okyanuslara kıyısı olan ülkelerde fazlaca görülen bir olay iken, Türkiye’de son yıllarda gerçekleşme sıklığı artmıştır. Sıklığın artışına bağlı olarak, kıyılarda özellikle de seracılık faaliyetlerinin en çok yapıldığı bölümlerde gerçekleşen hortum vakaları, seracılık sektörüne büyük darbe vurmaktadır. Ayrıca yerleşim yerlerini, sebze bahçelerini ve ulaşımı da olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Bunların yanı sıra etki alanlarının artmasıyla can kayıplarına da sebep olmaya başlamıştır. Bu sebeple ülkemizde, özellikle 2000 ile 2019 yılları arasında gerçekleşen hortum vakaları ile ilgili European Severe Weather Database (ESWD)’den alınan veriler sonucu genel bir analiz yapılmıştır. Öncelikle bölgelere göre hortum gerçekleşme sıklığı, mevsimlere dağılışı ve son olarak hem kara hem de deniz üzerinde meydana gelen her iki hortum türü için ortak bir analiz yapılmıştır. Buna göre; 2000-2019 (18.04.2019) yılları arasında toplam 478 hortum kaydına ulaşılmıştır. Hortumların gerçekleşme sıklığını bölgelere göre sıraladığımızda Akdeniz Bölgesi %51’lik oranla ilk sırada gelmektedir. Burada Antalya ve yakın çevresi hortumun en sık görüldüğü bölümdür. Daha sonra bunu Karadeniz (%17) ve Ege Bölgeleri (%12) ile diğer bölgeler takip etmektedir. Ayrıca en fazla kış mevsiminde gerçekleşen hortumların sayısı, özellikle ocak ayında artma eğilimindedir. Hortumlar sadece kıyı kesimlerinde gerçekleşmemekte karasal iç kesimlerde de oluşabilmektedir. Kıyı kesimlerde hortumlar çoğunlukla sonbahar ve kış aylarında oluşurken, iç kesimlerde ilkbahar ve yaz aylarında oluşmaktadır. Özellikle de buralarda geç ilkbahar, erken yaz döneminde hortumların etkin olduğu söylenebilir. Son yıllarda hortumların gerçekleşme sıklığının artması ve gelecekte de artacak olması sebebiyle gerekli tedbirlerin alınması, insanların bilinçlendirilmesi can ve mal kayıplarının azaltılması açısından oldukça önemlidir

Araştırma, preterm yenidoğanlara mekanik ventilasyon (MV) sırasında verilen gazın ısı ve nem değerlerinin fizyolojik parametreler üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla tek gruplu ön test-son test yarı deneysel bir tasarım olarak gerçekleştirildi. Araştırmanın evrenini İstanbul Üniversitesi Istanbul Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi Yenidoğan Yoğun Bakım Ünitesi'nde (YYBÜ) yatan bebekler, örneklemini ise Eylül 2017 - Ağustos 2018 tarihlerinde yenidoğan yoğun bakım ünitesinde yatan, örneklem seçim kriterlerine uyan toplam 23 preterm bebek oluşturdu. Veriler `Veri Toplama Formu` ve havanın nem ve ısısını ölçen `nem ısı tranmitter cihazı` ile toplandı. Çalışmaya alınan preterm bebekler ilk önce girişim I (Gaz ısısı: 38C), daha sonra girişim II (Gaz ısısı: 39C) grubunda izlendi. Verilerin karşılaştırılmasında Wilcoxon signed rank testi, Friedman testi, çoklu regresyon analizi ve basit regresyon testi kullanıldı. Girişim I ve II uygulamalarında bebeklerin fizyolojik parametreleri değerlendirildi. Buna göre girişim II (39C) grubundaki bebeklerin sadece KTA ortalamasının anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek olduğu (p.05). Giderek artan nüfus ile birlikte tarım alanlarından daha fazla ürün alma talebi de artmaktadır. Teknolojinin ve iş makinelerinin gelişmesi her türlü inşaat çalışmasını kolaylaştırmaktadır. Küresel ısınma ve suya olan talepteki artış, baraj, gölet, tünel ve sulama yapılarında artışı da beraberinde getirmiştir. Türkiye’de, dağlık alanlardaki akarsular ve vadileri ile ova tabanları ve gerisindeki vadilerde gölet yapımına uygun araziler bulunmaktadır. Tüm bu coğrafi özellikler son yıllarda hemen hemen her bölgede su yapıları inşaatının artmasına yol açmıştır. Afyonkarahisar ili Dinar ilçesi sınırları içinde kalan Çağlayan deresi önünde Dombay ovasının bir bölümü sulama suyuna ihtiyaç duymaktadır. Dere yatağı ve ova taşkın olaylarına maruz kalmaktadır. Bu sorunun çözümüne yönelik olarak gölet yapımı planlanmış, göletinin yapımı 2016 yılında tamamlanmış, ancak 2017 yılında gölette su tutulmaya başlanmıştır. Gölet havzasında yoğun kütle hareketleri meydana gelmekte, sınırlı gölalanı siltasyona maruz kalmaktadır. Global Warming and increasing water necessity cause the increases in dam, pond and tunnel constructions. Suitable lands exist in rivers, valleys and plain base in mountainous area in Turkey. All these geographical features have caused the increases of dam buildings in nearly every region of Turkey. A part of Dombay Plain in front of Caglayan stream which is within the boundaries of Dinar county in Afyonkarahisar province, need irrigation water. Stream bed and plain are exposed to flood events. The contruction of pond has planned for solving this problem and the building of pond completed in 2016 The process of water retention has just started in pond in 2017. Intense mass movement in pond base has taken placed, limited lake area is exposed to siltation. Geomorphological features of pond area in this study where the are under debate, the advantages of the pond and disadvantages about pond in Geographical framework will be analysed or evaluated in geomorphological framework.

The main purpose of this study is to analyse the performance stability of REIT Index and individual REITs over different sub-periods. The performance of the REITs is compared to mainly that of BIST 100 Index. For analysing the performance stability, three different risk-adjusted measures, namely Sharpe ratio, Treynor ratio and Jensen’s alpha, are employed for four different periods. These periods are determined with respect to important regulatory changes in the Turkish REIT market and also to economic states of the country. The results show that Treynor and Sharpe ratios rank the REITs consistently for the high-growth periods. However, the rankings are not that consistent in low-growth periods and even they may contrast significantly. The results also show us that regulatory changes almost have no impact on the performances of the REITs. On the other hand, time-varying behaviour of betas also makes it difficult to attribute the changes in performances to states of economy

Bayraktar, S. (2011). Preterm Yenidoğanda Ağrıyı Değerlendirmede Kullanılan EDIN Ölçeğinin Geçerlik- Güvenirlik Çalışması. İstanbul Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Hemşireliği Anabilim Dalı, Yüksek Lisans Tezi, İstanbul.Araştırma, 25-36 gestasyon haftasında olan preterm yenidoğanlarda ağrı değerlendirmesinde kullanılan Yenidoğan Ağrı ve Rahatsızlık Ölçeği (EDIN)' nin Türkçe formunun geçerlik ve güvenirliğinin belirlenmesi amacıyla metodolojik yöntem ile tanımlayıcı tipte gerçekleştirildi. Araştırma kapsamına toplam 120 preterm yenidoğan alındı. Araştırmada, 5 alt grubu olan toplam 20 maddeden oluşan EDIN ölçeğinin geçerlik güvenirliği incelendi. Ölçek; dil ve kapsam geçerliği, yapı geçerliği, iç tutarlık, gözlemciler arası güvenirlik ve ölçek puanları ile günlük bakım uygulamaları arasındaki ilişki açısından değerlendirildi.Örneklem kapsamına alınan bebeklerin % 58.3'ü erkek, %41.7'si kız idi. Ölçeğin Kapsam Geçerlik İndeksi=0,88, madde toplam madde puan korelasyonları 0,33 ile 0,59 arasında (p=0,000) ve iki gözlemcinin gerçekleştirdiği ölçümlerin birlikte değerlendirilmesi sonucu elde edilen Cronbach alpha değeri 0,86 idi.Bağımlı örneklerde t testi iki gözlemcinin sonuçlarının karşılaştırılmasında kullanıldı. Bağımlı örneklerde t testinde ``vücut hareketleri'' ve ``sakinleştirilebilme'' alt gruplarında istatistiksel farklılık bulunmakla birlikte gözlemciler arası uyumun incelendiği pearson korelasyon testi sonucu bütün alt gruplarda gözlemciler arası çok güçlü düzeyde uyum olguğu belirlendi (r=0,87, p=0,000). EDIN ölçek puanları ile bebeklere uygulanan günlük bakım girişimleri arasında istatistiksel olarak bir ilişki olmadığı, EDIN ölçeğinin kronik ağrı belirtilerini değerlendirdiği görüldü.Sonuç olarak EDIN ölçeğinin, Türkçe geçerlik- güvenirlik çalışması yapılarak istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde yeterli olduğu belirlendi. İstanbul.Our study was conducted methodologically as a descriptive study to determine the validation and reliability of the Turkish version of EDIN used in the assessment of pain on the preterm newborn during 25-36 gestation week. In our study, 120 preterm newborn were included and the reliability of the validation of EDIN scale-consisting of 20 items and 5 subgroups was examined. The scale was assessed in terms of language and content validity, structural validity, internal consistency, the inter-reliability among the observers and the relationship between scale points and daily care.Of the babies taken as samples, 58.3% were male and 41% female. Content validity of scale Index=0,88, the correlation of item to total items between 0,33 and 0,59, and Cronbach alpha value, which was acquired by assessing the measurements of both observers, was 0,86.In dependent samples, t test was used to compare the results of the two observers. In t test of dependent samples, significant statistical differences were found in the sub-groups of ``body movements?? and `consolability?. However as a result of pearson correlation test results, in which the harmony between observers was examined, a strong harmony was determined among observers in all subgroups (r=0,87; p=0,000). It was determined that there was no statistical relationship between EDIN scale points and daily care applied on babies and that EDIN scale assessed the symptoms of chronic pain.In consequence, EDIN scale was determined good enough as to be statistically significant after carrying out the Turkish validation and and reliability test. ÖZET Çalışmamızda, Türk dilinin tarihî devirlerini dikkate alarak, seçtiğimiz eserlerden tespit ettiğimiz 2153 ikilemeyi, değişik açılardan inceledik. İkilemeleri yapı bakımından incelerken, ikilemeyi oluşturan sözcüklerin hangi ek ya da ekleri alabildiklerini belirledik. İkilemelerin gerek kelime gruplarında gerekse cümlede aldıkları belli başlı görevleri tespit ederek örnekler verdik. Kuruluş ve ikilemeyi oluşturan sözcükler arasındaki anlam ilişkileri bakımından ikilemeleri dokuz kısımda inceledik. İkilemeler, Türkçe sözcüklerle oluşturulduğu gibi başka dillerden alınan sözcüklerle de oluşturulmaktadır. Bu nedenle tezimize ikilemeyi oluşturan sözcüklerin kökenlerini anlatan bir bölüm ekledik. Çalışmamızın sonuna taradığımız eserlerde tespit ettiğimiz ikilemelerden oluşan bir dizin ekleyi uygun bulduk. While examining the structure of reduplications we saw which suffix or suffixes can be used. We determined the main functions of reduplications in the phrases and sentences giving example. We classificated reduplications in nine parts. Reduplications can be formed both by Turkish words and the foreign ones. So we mentioned about this in one part of our thesis. This thesis examines the impact of exchange rate risk on asset pricing under varying market structures. To understand this effect, in the first part of the thesis the analytical derivation of an international asset-pricing model within a mean-variance framework is attempted. In the second part, to gain more insight to what the model shows economically, the price comparisons and changes in welfare under varying market structures are numerically analyzed. Finally, in the third part of the thesis the model is investigated empirically to check whether it is supported or not by real data. The main result of the theoretical part is that as long as representative agents are consuming the imported goods they would price the exchange rate risk in asset pricing. This is because exchange rate through terms of trade would affect the real purchasing power of the consumers. In numerical part, it is shown that, in a model with real exchange rate (also terms of trade in this study) shock-absorbing effect, there is no welfare increase on integration. Finally, empirical testing of the model provides partial support for the theoretical results of the first part.

ÖZET Bu çalışmada, N,N'-metilenbisakrilamid ile piperazinin oluşturduğu kopolimere üçüncü farklı alkilaminler eklenip, elde edilen polimerlerin çeşitli özellikleri incelenmiştir. Kopolimerdeki MBA miktarı sabit bırakılıp; %50, piperazin miktarı azaltılmış (%40), yerine dodesil amin ve alil amin (%10) katılarak değişimler araştırılmıştır. Alkilamin katılarak elde edilen kopolimerlerin suda çözünürlükleri incelendiğinde, alilaminle oluşturulan kopolimerin suda çözündüğü, dodesilaminin hidrofob yapısı dolayısıyla kopolimerin suda çözünmediği görüldü. Ayrıca suda çözünen alil amin kopolimerinin çeşitli konsantrasyonlardaki NaOH ile hidroliz şartlan tespit edildi. Elde edilen polimerlerin özellikleri viskozimetrik İR ve UV ölçümleriyle belirlendi. Bu polimerlerin Cu2+ ve Fe2+ ile oluşturdukları kompleksler, absorbans ve pH ölçümleriyle incelendi. SUMMARY At recent times, water soluble polymers have a great importance and interest in both teorical and in practical chemistry. This type of polymer which contains physiological active groups, can be used in living organism because of the their adjuvant effects. Application of same physico-chemical methods to these systems gives information about their structure. There must be two different structure of polymers in order to achieve above purposes 1) Polymer must be resistant to enzymatic degradation to stay for a long time in the organism. For this reason, polymers must be combined with C-C sigma bonds 2) Polymers must have easily biodegradable bonds (C-N, C-S, C-O, C-P) to stay in an organism for a short time. In this study, to achieve the second aim, N,N'-methylene bisacrylamide, piperazine and primary alkyl amines (which contains more hydrophobic character) were synthesized as copolymer with three components. Both monomers and three components copolymer were investigated to understand the effects of the copolymerization by IR, UV and viscozimetric measurements. First of all as a referance, MBA and piperazine copolymer was obtained using equal mole ratios of each monomer 2.1325 g N, N'- methylene bisacrylamide and 1. 1 9 g piperazine were mixed with 7 ml water. Polymerization was carried out under nitrogen and normal atmosphere at 50°C. Polymerization took 45 minutes. Properties of this copolymer have been investigated by using IR and viscozimetric measurements. Polymerization occurs by migration of active. H atoms of piperazine to double bond of MBA. This bond is broken down and monomers are bound to each other. VIThe second step was the addition of primary alkyl amine to this system. The polymer contain C-N bonds which is easily hydrolized. The most important requirements using the polymers for medical purposes are being biodegredable, nontoxic and forming complexes with proteins. I Addition of amine groups to above system that contain active hydrogen atom causes reaction between amine hydrogen with double bond of MBA at the same time with piperazine. Thus, piperazine and the other amine reacts with MBA by means of competative reaction. On the basis of this knowledge, two kinds of primary alkyl amines (alyl and dodecly) were added to the mixture of MBA and piperazine. This amines are different becasue of the number of their C atoms and the effects of their hydrophobic character. Allyl amine is a small and less hydrophobic molecule which can dissolve in water easier according to dodecylamine. In the first polymerization reaction, the monomer ratio of MBA-PP was 1/1. When ally and dodecyl amine were introduced into polymerization, mole ratio of MBA was kept constant at 50%, piperazine at 40%, and alkylamine is at 10%. Polymerization was done at the same conditions by adding allylamine and dodecylamine. Reaction scheme can be seen as follows. FT-IR diagrams of copolymers and monomers showed that combining of two monomers carried out with opening of the double bonds of MBA. Our polymer contains N and O atoms which have lone pairs of electrons on their valance shell. These lone pairs form coordination bond between Cu2+ or Fe2+. When these ions were introduced into polymer solution, absorbation, pH and conductivity were measured. As the metal ions were added to the polymer solution, small amount of precipitations occured after a critical value is increased so the absorption of the polymer increased. Because of the free H atoms leaving of the monomer molecule after metal-polymer complexes formed, pH decreased and as the concentration of metal ions got higher, conductivity increased. These results improved that polymer- metal complexes were formed. The conditions of our laboratories were not available to complete the experiments with proteins. But it will be studied soon by improving the conditions. 115

ÖZET Çalışmamızda 2. kuşak ELİSA testi ile anti-HCV'si pozitif bulunan ve HCV Blot 3.0 testi ile anti-HCV pozitifliği doğrulanan kronik HCV enfeksiyonlu 40 indeks olgunun 108 aile bireyinde ve aile bireyleri ile uyumlu yaş grubundan oluşan, serum aminotransferaz değerleri normal 150 sağlıklı bireyde anti-HCV seropozitifliği araştınldı. Aile içinde % 2.8 (3/108) kontrol grubunda ise %0.7 (1/150) oranında anti-HCV seropozitifliği saptandı (p>0.05). Otuz indeks olgunun 3 (%10)'ünün eşinde anti-HCV seropozifliği tespit edildi. Eş dışı 78 aile bireyinin hiçbirisinde anti-HCV seropozitifliği gösterilemedi. Esophageal atresia is characterized by anatomicly absence of extending passage from pharynx to stomach as a congenital anomaly which threaten to the life. Reducing mortality and morbitity of esophageal atresia early diagnosis is important as surgical intervention technique and postoperative care. According to this information baby Y. who was born in University of Istanbul Medical Faculty on 30 gestational weeks of age, operated for esophageal atresia and taking care in neonatal intensive care unit NCIU was discussed for evaluation of postoperative nursing care and related results of initiatives. Consequently baby Y, who was treated and given nursing care at the third level neonatal intensive care unite at postoperative period, started respiration spontaneously. The relieving of pain was observed. The level of billirubin returned the normal level. The body temperature decreased from high temperature to normal body temperature. The increasing of body weight was mentioned. The turgor of skin improved. The colour of skin and mucosa returned pink and moist appearance. There wasn t any complication at the third level neonatal intensive care unit and baby Y was transferred to the second level neonatal intensive care unite by providing positive interaction between baby and mother, efagus atrezisi, farinksten mideye kadar uzanan pasajın anatomik olarak tam oluşmaması ile karakterize, hayatı tehdit eden konjenital bir anomalidir. Özefagus atrezisi olan bebeklerin postoperatif dönemde atelektazi, pnömoni, anastamozda kaçak olması, fistül gelişimi, reflü ve anastomoz hattında darlık gibi komplikasyonlar açısından gözlenmesi gerekir. Bu bilgiler ışığında; İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi’ de İÜİTF 30. gestasyon haftasında doğan, özefagus atrezisi tanısıyla opere edilen bebek Y.’nin yenidoğan yoğun bakım ünitesinde YYBÜ postoperatif dönemde verilen hemşirelik bakımı ile elde edilen sonuçlar olgu incelemesi olarak değerlendirildi. Sonuç olarak 3.düzey YYBÜ'nde postoperatif dönemde tedavi edilen ve hemşirelik bakımı verilen bebek Y.; spontan solunuma başladı, ağrısının azaldığı gözlendi, bilirubin düzeyi normale döndü, vücut sıcaklığı normal değerlere düştü, vücut tartısında artış belirlendi, deri turgoru düzeldi, cilt ve mukoza rengi pembe-nemli görünüm aldı. Bebek Y'de herhangi bir komplikasyon belirtisi görülmedi ve olumlu anne-bebek etkileşimi sağlanarak 2.düzey YYBÜ'ne tarnsfer edildi. Oral beslenmeye başladıktan sonra 2. düzey YYBÜ ’ne transfer edildi

BACKGROUND The use of heated and humidified gas during mechanical ventilation is routine care in neonatal intensive care units. Giving gas at inadequate heat and humidity levels can affect neonatal morbidity and mortality. PURPOSE To compare the effects of 2 humidifier temperature settings on the temperature and humidity of the inspired gas and the physiologic parameters in preterm newborns receiving mechanical ventilation. METHODS The research was conducted in a single-group quasi-experimental design. Proximal temperature was measured using a humidity heat transmitter. The humidifier temperature was set at 38°C (temperature I) and then at 39°C (temperature II). RESULTS The mean proximal temperatures were significantly lower than the values set in the humidifier (33.8 ± 1.20°C at temperature I, and 34.06 ± 1.30°C at temperature II, P < .001). However, the difference between the 2 proximal temperatures was not significant (P = .162). The incubator temperature was found to be effective on the proximal gas temperature (P < .05). It was found that only preterm infants in the temperature II group had a higher mean heart rate (P < .05). IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE Incubator temperatures may have an effect on inspired gas temperature in preterm infants who are mechanically ventilated and caregivers should be aware of these potentially negative effects. IMPLICATIONS FOR RESEARCH Future studies should focus on how to measure the temperature and humidity of gas reaching infants in order to prevent heat and humidity losses.

Introduction There is limited information about problems of feedback inhibition of lactation which should be considered as a rare cause of breast engorgement. We report the management of excessive breast engorgement in a mother with a presumptive diagnosis of a defect in the feedback inhibition of lactation. Main issue The participant, who had been discharged on postpartum Day 2 while breastfeeding her infant, was readmitted to the hospital the next day with engorgement of the breasts and cessation of milk flow. Pumping and application of cold dressings alone did not work effectively. The severity of the symptoms decreased only after the addition of an anti-inflammatory drug and a prolactin inhibitor. Management The participant received breastfeeding counseling, family-centered care, and support for pumping equipment. An anti-inflammatory drug was started and a low dose prolactin inhibitor was given. The difficulty was the management of extensive and painful breast engorgement and the re-establishment of milk flow. At postpartum Day 14, the participant and her infant were discharged with effective breastfeeding status. Conclusions The recognition of a problem in the feedback inhibition of lactation as a cause of breast engorgement is important because it may be unresponsive to classical treatment methods resulting in cessation of milk flow. With the cautious use of low-dose cabergoline, in addition to other treatment strategies, milk flow can be reduced in a controlled manner while ensuring the continuity of milk production. An early diagnosis, interdisciplinary approach, and a close follow-up of the mother–infant pair are essential for preserving lactation.
