The phase-ordering kinetics of the ferromagnetic two-dimensional Ising model with uniform disorder is investigated by intensive Monte Carlo simulations. Taking into account finite-time corrections to scaling, simple ageing behaviour is observed in the two-time responses and correlators. The dynamical exponent z and the form of the scaling functions only depend on the ratio eps/T, where eps describes the width of the distribution of the disorder. The agreement of the predictions of local scale-invariance generalised to z<> 2 for the two-time scaling functions of response and correlations with the numerical data provides a direct test of generalised Galilei-invariance., Comment: Latex2e with epl macros, 6 pages, 4 figures included

Surface aging phenomena are discussed for semi-infinite systems prepared in a fully disordered initial state and then quenched to or below the critical point. Besides solving exactly the semi-infinite Ising model in the limit of large dimensions, we also present results of an extensive numerical study of the nonequilibrium dynamical behavior of the two-dimensional semi-infinite Ising model undergoing coarsening. The studied models reveal a simple aging behavior where some of the nonequilibrium surface exponents take on values that differ from their bulk counterparts. For the two-dimensional semi-infinite Ising model we find that the exponent $b_1$, that describes the scaling behavior of the surface autocorrelation, vanishes. These simulations also reveal the existence of strong finite-time corrections that to some extent mask the leading scaling behavior of the studied two-time quantities., Comment: 16 pages, 3 figures, accepted for publication in Physical Review B

The kinetic spherical model with long-range interactions is studied after a quench to $T < T_c$ or to $T = T_c$. For the two-time response and correlation functions of the order-parameter as well as for composite fields such as the energy density, the ageing exponents and the corresponding scaling functions are derived. The explicit calculation of the scaling form of the two-time autocorrelation function in phase-ordering kinetics and in those cases of non-equilibrium critical dynamics where the dynamical exponent z=2 through the extension of dynamical scaling to local scale-invariance is reviewed. Conceptually, this mainly requires an extension from the usually considered d-dimensional ageing or Schr\"odinger algebras to a new kind of representation of the conformal algebra in d+2 dimensions. The scaling forms of the space- and time-dependent two-time correlation and response functions are calculated for the kinetic spherical model with a conserved order-parameter and quenched to its critical point from a completely disordered initial state. The stochastic Langevin equation can be split into a noise part and into a deterministic part which has local scale-transformations with a dynamical exponent z=4 as a dynamical symmetry. An exact reduction formula allows to express any physical average in terms of averages calculable from the deterministic part alone. The exact spherical model results are shown to agree with these predictions of local scale-invariance. We investigate some aspects of the ageing behavior observed in the contact process after a quench from its active phase to the critical point. In particular we discuss the scaling properties of the two-time response function and we calculate it and its universal ratio to the two-time correlation function up to first order in the field-theoretical epsilon-expansion. The scaling form of the response function does not fit the prediction of the theory of local scale invariance. We study the space-time correlation and response functions in nonequilibrium growth processes described by linear stochastic Langevin equations. Exploiting exclusively the existence of space and time dependent symmetries of the noiseless part of these equations, we derive expressions for the universal scaling functions of two-time quantities which are found to agree with the exact expressions obtained from the stochastic equations of motion. The usefulness of the space-time functions is illustrated through the investigation of two atomistic growth models, the Family model and the restricted Family model, which are shown to belong to a unique universality class in 1+1 and in 2+1 space dimensions. I consider ageing behaviour in two exactly solvable reaction-diffusion systems. Ageing exponents and scaling functions are determined. I discuss in particular a case in which the equality of two critical exponents, known from systems with detailed balance, does not hold any more. Local scale-invariance for ageing systems without detailed balance is tested through studying the dynamical symmetries of the critical bosonic contact process and the critical bosonic pair-contact process.Their field-theoretical actions can be split into a Schr\"odinger-invariant term and a pure noise term. It is shown that the two-time response and correlation functions are reducible to certain multipoint response functions which depend only on the Schr\"odinger-invariant part of the action. For the bosonic contact process, the representation of the Schr\"odinger group can be derived from the free diffusion equation, whereas for the bosonic pair-contact process, a new representation of the Schr\"odinger group related to a non-linear Schr\"odinger equation with dimensionful couplings is constructed. We study the ageing properties of the semi-infinite kinetic spherical model at the critical point and in the ordered low-temperature phase, both for Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions. The surface fluctuation-dissipation ratio and the scaling functions of two-time surface correlation and response functions are determined explicitly in the dynamical scaling regime. In the low-temperature phase our results show that for the case of Dirichlet boundary conditions the value of the non-equilibrium surface exponent $b_1$ differs from the usual bulk value of systems undergoing phase ordering., Comment: 22 pages, 4 figures included, submitted to J. Ageing in systems without detailed balance is studied in the exactly solvable bosonic contact process and the critical bosonic pair-contact process. The two-time correlation function and the two-time response function are explicitly found. In the ageing regime, the dynamical scaling of these is analyzed and exact results for the ageing exponents and the scaling functions are derived.
